Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'll shake your hand the day you earn the right
to shake my hand. Oh the damn work.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
I'll put it in with you, you fistos.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
What can you do with this person who's new? So
they look good, you look good, and everybody's safe as well.
Put him on a black leather jacket, a black guy.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Jeff Lippman.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
It looked like she was too slow for school, but
she came out playing the hot mean girls.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Look really good.
Speaker 5 (00:32):
Boy them Friday, and put him in a stew boy
them Friday, and put him in a stew boy of
them Friday and put in stew the potatoes of LFG
Season two, episode fourteenth and the finals.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Oh it's Wenday night for us. What does it mean? No,
that's not how we say it. It's Wenday nights. You
know what that means. We are not watching the other
wrestling program. Oh no, ladies and gentlemen, we are talking
about LFG and Undertaker than the set coming. He says,
(01:05):
it's bogus. Bubba says, followed that, Sooan points out that
this was the LFG screw job and gives a point
to team Bubba and a point to Drake. And of
course we are talking about Drake Morose switching team and
going to Team Bubba after his elimination, and that's where
we're at right now. Was it a technicality or charity?
(01:29):
Undertaker is asking what is your answer?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
My ga, my dear Jeff Wow. I think it's a
little bit of both. Interestingly enough, I mean, this is,
of course episode fourteen of both LFG and of our show,
and the title of us called down to the Wire,
so we're almos down to the wire. It's a little
bit of a misnomer. We're in the semifinals where there's
(01:53):
four women and four men. There's absolutely no mention of
bj Ray this entire show, and not that we are
the biggest proponents of bj Ray and that he should
advance in this, but I feel like that was like
that time Samoa Joe got beat up by Ninja's and
nobody ever resolved who it was or why. I mean,
(02:14):
let's let's let's address it, say say say what's up,
Say what he's doing, what he's not.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
It was time to get him out, and they found
the way and bye byej.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I mean everyone else when they go, we know why
they've gone. I mean, sometimes there's a mystery injury for
four or five weeks and somebody pops on back up.
But I mean, I don't know that, so but that's
something you asked me. Do I think that because it's wrestling,
because they make up their own rules however they want.
I guess it's a technicality, and I guess it's a
little redemption story for the relationship of Drake and Bubba,
(02:48):
because Bubba chose BJ over him last year. I believe he.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Actually chose Drake and Drake said no, he said, you
want to do this again.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
But last year he picked oh last year, okay, he
picked someone over Drake, and Drake said, you didn't believe
in me last year. So I think this year, respectfully,
I think I'm gonna I'm gonna go.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
With the bit oh yeah in the final ish thing.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
But it is a little bit of charity because it
was Week thirteen, and that's a little bit of a
it's a little bit of a crap, I mean, you know,
and clearly they were planning this the whole time, because
all the silence about BJ and the whole work at
the end of the show last week, and which was
you know, sort of well done. We documented that last
week where we had some measures or I had some
measures with it, but I think it's a little bit
(03:35):
of both. But you know what it is, this Final
four is better with Drake in it than BJ And
at the end of the day, it's a TV show
and at the end of the day, that's really all
I care about.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
It would have been great with Elijah, but with him
being out, Drake of course better choice. Even Bubba says like,
you know what, he's a good dude, He's a Bayou boy.
I want to bring it out of him. So yeah,
great choice, and I really loved I can't remember who
said it. Pro wrestling is more than a contact sport.
(04:04):
There is a psychologist psychological element to it. I don't
remember if it's just like the commentator whoever's voicing this
show who mentions that, or if it's one of the coaches.
I didn't write it down, but I was like, yeah, absolutely,
I mean it's it has to look like a fight,
but there's everything is supposed to mean something. There's there
(04:27):
has to be a reason for it. And when we
are so close at you know, the end of all
of this road for the contestants, like we gotta be
a little bit more nitpicky about what's what's wrong and
what's good and we're gonna see a few things that,
you know. I was like, I I would have chose differently,
(04:50):
but I mean overall, it was a good It was
a good episode. They they had something a little bit different.
Maybe they did it last last year, but they have
like first the promo battle to see like, you know,
we want to know why, you know, show the people
why they should want to see this smatch, and that's
how they would begin everything every match.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
So I just remembered something and looking in my notes
and this is this is I just don't want to
skip over. It is that the original reference to charity.
When Undertaker said it, I didn't take it in the
context I said that it was about Drake. I thought
it was more comment on giving Team Bubba a point
because they were all by themselves of the bomb, and
(05:34):
everyone shifted it on to Drake, including Drake, which I get.
I mean, you you need to do anything to motivate.
I'm not trying if I'm right or wrong. But when
I heard it, I thought it was more Undertaker ribbing
Team Bubba than saying Drake didn't deserve it, because Frankly,
I don't think Undertaker gives a rat's ask whether it's
bj or Drake. And if you asked him, you know,
(05:55):
ten times, I'm sure at least nine out of ten
times he'd say, I'd rather see Drake in there.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, it makes sense, like one point to Drake, but
why one point to Team Bubba because he pulled this
out of his ass. I don't know it was. It
was like, a, I don't know, so you would be
closer to the other coaches.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
It was like, it's like why you know what. It's
a perfect embodiment or metaphor for America today. We have rules,
but a lot of them are based on the honor code.
And if you just sort of make something up and
do it and nobody stops you, it works and it
pays off. That's what happened for Team Bubba, who got
one point. He's still tied him Booker tied with four reach.
(06:36):
It's not like either of them are likely to catch
Michelle or take her anyway, and it doesn't matter. We're
down to two people after this show is over, I suppose.
But again, I thought it was about more about a
shot of Bubba than what was it Drake, but you know, whatever,
if Drake uses that to feed off and as Bubba
who pointed out that, you know, he's giving him self
(06:57):
credit for bringing the fun out of Drake and dead
Man brought out the killer out of him, and now
Bubba's going to meld them both in this half hour
that they spent together reunited. But listen, just like Shamalar
said the second time around.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
So hey, hey, anyway, so we start with, you know,
a pretty big match and Anthony Luke versus Shiloh Hill.
They first do the face to face promo. I thought
it was intense, you know, a few words, two different personalities,
but it did work. I looked like a wrestling promo.
It wasn't too Yeah, I felt it was all right.
(07:34):
Like I didn't. I didn't get like super excited to
see the match, but I was like, okay, that's that's interesting, Like, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
That's interesting. That was your action because basically, the Undertaker
told them, he said, in your promo battle your mission
is to convince the people why they want to see
this match, and you're like this, like okay. When I
listened to it, neither one of these guys said a
thing that they haven't said half a dozen times before
(08:03):
Anthony Luke sort of like Shiloh started. Okay, Anthony Luke
sort of dominated at that point, and it wasn't clear
what was going on Shiloh's head, and there was a
long silence. I'm like, but then Shiloh like just did
a scream out of nowhere, in into the into Luke's face,
and I'm like, Okay, he never lost it. This this
(08:23):
was his plan all along and that was that was
pretty good. But okay, so anybody who has kids of us,
you know that you are a certain age when you
had your kids, you had this thing called baby Eye.
No no, no, I don't think you do well. Hopefully
if you do this, this is a miracle. You you
have these things called Baby Einstein where you where kids
listen to classical music, but they were also like puppet
(08:46):
shows and like kid friendly things going on. And there
was one where there like one you know, a hand
puppet and it was a goat and all of a sudden,
out of nowhere, the go would go and the first
time would stare the ship out of my poor little kids.
But then you know, then they giggle with it. But
it's like did baby Einstein just traumatize my child. But
(09:11):
the blood, that's what That's what that took me back to.
Maybe I was the one who was traumatized. But I
would say the promo battle didn't get me high for
the match, But I was already high for the match.
And I call the promo battle was a push. I think.
I think they both did fine, but neither one of
them did anything new and interesting except for the screen.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah, and I mean you're talking about a goat. Then
you know when I see Shiloh, I'm thinking about a sheep.
I'm thinking about bray Wyatt. So I guess it all.
It all adds up in a way.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
It's all gone on the same time.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Oh yeah, same same animal farm.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Exact animal. That's why let's go or well in here.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
So you know, Louke comes out and of where Michelle's
like super encouraging, she's cheering, and you know she mentioned
he has every tool and no, actually I think it's Taker.
He says to her, this guy has every tool in
the toolbox to win, which I absolutely agree. And when
when Shiloh comes out, Undertaker puts his shades on the
(10:21):
future is so bright. I got to put the shades on.
I was like, oh, look at Taker being a little
funny guy. I was like, okay, so it's it's a
good dynamic of them too. It's it's it's entertaining, you know.
So you know.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Sila comes out under.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yeah, Toothless Wonder comes out intense with crazy eyes. Luke
I love that as soon, you know, as soon as
he gets in the ring, like he's showing character and
the bell rings like he keeps his character. Everything was big.
You know how last week we were saying about Chris
Sileine that everything was small. Everything was like this time,
(11:02):
everything is big, everything is solid. I've also noticed that
Luke places himself for the next spot automatically. This is
something when you learn wrestling that doesn't come easy, and
it's not something that comes naturally. But the more experience
you have, the better you get at it. So you
minimize steps and whips and placing yourself. You just go
(11:25):
to the next spot by yourself, So your opponent just
has to go into whatever comes next. And Luke as
he already has that. So I was like, man, that's
a lot of points for Luke, just for this anyway,
for me. Then they went outside and they did those
whip reverse spots with a like was awesome, including Shiloh
(11:46):
going kind of flippy like in and out, like swinging
around James Brown style like in the ring going out
and to a laria to the outside and the dimensioned
to less aggression and I was like, wasn't it like
Chrispin or something like that, or a T shirt maybe,
(12:07):
but this spot was like super super cool, very baby
face like impressive for a big guy that he didn't
get stuck in the ropes. I love that Luke was,
you know, he was looking at the crowd. He had
good expression in tense strikes, solid pins, the great punches,
and they went into a big double down on a
(12:28):
spinning power slam and a good one two one two
that went into a very solid like comeback. Anthony was
doing the bump in feed like taking a bun and
up for the next and that was perfect. Cheated and tried,
which was really like kind of neat that they went
back to it. They they they went to the same
(12:50):
spot they did in their first match where he cheated,
you know, scratching the eyes and he from then he
hit the lights camera action and had won the match.
But this time Shilah was able to escape and to
what they called the storm Breaker. And I don't know
if you agree, but usually I would always say this
(13:10):
move doesn't look good, but Anthony Luke made it look
fucking fantastic. Whoever's taking it, you know, has a lot
to do with it, and this time his finish look
like a finish. At the end, Shilah was selling his
eyes from the scratching. Overall, it was a very very
(13:32):
good match. The timing, everything seemed pretty awesome. It was
definitely a TV match.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Oh yeah, wow, I thought this match was great. This
and you know, and everyone thought, I mean they were
They would jump. The Undertaker was actually jumping from joy
and hugging and shoe.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
He was super happy.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
He was emotional saying this, This could have been on
any one of our shows, right, and your point was
so right on that did Anthony creates space. He's already
in the right position. I'm not saying Shiloh wouldn't get there,
but he's not. He doesn't automatically the other Anthony does that.
That's step and a half and the footwork to get
(14:11):
to the next position. And you're right, he you know,
so he's definitely leading the matches, shout out to Mike,
you know, cyber friend Chaza Mackenzie. Not gonna say that
we have like bunch together or anything, but as far
as like, you know, people that you've met on the
internet and spoken to a couple of times over zooms,
you know, cyber friends. But she this week posted just
you know, out of quick coincidence. She said, she said,
(14:33):
attention wrestlers, after somebody does an arm drag, you know,
take a couple of steps to create space. You know,
thank you every other wrestler. You know she's being you know,
obviously she was wrestling with a rookie year, someone who
doesn't know what's good. But that's exactly what you were saying.
He creates that space and goes but not just random space.
It's to be in the right place. You can see
(14:54):
where his feet are, you can see what his head's
looking at, and things like that. I think that the
name storm breaker, I mean, when you have toothless wonder
and toothless aggression and your and your thing is a gap,
you don't need storm breaker. There's like a million geographic
places that have the word gap in it that they're scary,
like you know, you know, you know, you could just
(15:17):
do the scop the stop gap, but I'm sure that
there's like canyons and gorges where like you know, cowboys
and Indians ambushed each other, that they have the word
gap in it.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
He's a he's a guy, he's a taker guy. So
instead of Hell's Gate, it could be Hell's Gap is
exactly Hell's gap.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
This is also from New Mexico. I know, I may
know we went to Stanford, but I think he's from there.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
Consequences, there's canyons and mountains out there, so there's there's gap.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
I mean, I know they're ski mountains, so they called
so they called gaps where you're not supposed to ski anyway,
that's neither here nor there. But both guys showed us
moves they hadn't showed before. And while they definitely made
everything look big, actually one of the things that impressed
me the most is that Anthony Luke introduced like almost
like a short arm Superman punched, and he did twice,
(16:07):
and it really really good. I did like how they
went back to the Raking of the Eyes, but this
time Shiloh was prepared for it. I mean, he still
got hit with it, but he was. He was ready
to react for it, and he hit the storm breaker,
which was just like a fancy cutter neck breaker thing.
But that's fine, it's perfect. It not significantly different than
(16:29):
Lexus King's, you know, sort of finisher. And you know
what Androtti was doing when Androtti wrestled, and I liked it.
I thought this was a great win. And the excitement
from the Undertaker. I don't think he I don't think
he's faking it. I mean, this show is sort of
humanizing him, and it's really humanizing this relationship with Michelle.
(16:51):
It's fine, guess I think. I think Bubba said to
Michelle when when Luke and Shiloh were staring down at
each other, goes, do you understand do you take her ever?
Look at each other like that? And she's and it's like,
not ever, not ever once?
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Oh boy, So we come to you know, who is
it gonna be? Take Her chooses Shiloh, his own guy.
Michelle chooses Luke, her own guy. Book her says Shiloh,
and Bubba goes, he thought it was fifty to fifty,
but you know, for the overall consistency, he chooses Shiloh.
(17:32):
And here's the thing. I went back on my notes
and I try to, you know, go back the whole season.
When it comes to consistency, Antonine Luke is the guy.
It's not Shiloh. Shiloh had days that he was not
as good Anthony Luke never, So I was like.
Speaker 1 (17:58):
I agree with you, and I sort of thought that,
you know that it should have been Anthony Luke for
at least a two and two. I may understand the
coaches voting for their own people. This was very close,
not to take away from either of these guys, And listen,
I am not someone who walks around thinking that DEI
is a bad word or bad phrase, you know, and
in every circumstance, I sort of. But but I was
(18:20):
left thinking, if Anthony Luke wins, and like all of
the top people or almost all of the top people,
especially the younger ones in NXT and Evolve, are black,
and I'm thinking that maybe they just think, maybe we
need to get some one white guy in there that's
that's not thirty six years old Ethan Page.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
You know that I don't know, if you know the
show Pro Wrestling Bits, Alfrid great, great, great fucking stuff. Yeah,
I just don't know that that African African next.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
So I was like, yeah, listen, Anthony Luke, he's not
going to be on season three, He's going to be
he needs to be Evolved.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yeah, no, even he's probably he's an XT or send
him to TNA if you don't want to, you know,
since he's not winning the contract, send him to TNA.
Speaker 7 (19:11):
Do.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
But he's now, he's ready for TV, he's ready for.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
He's already signed a contract. I just don't know if
they're going to sign him to Evolve or NXT or
like like you said, send them, send them to Noah,
t NA or or Triple A. But I think it's
I think I think Evolve is usually first, even if
it's for a short period of time. But I don't know.
I'm not a conspiracy guy, but wrestling is a bit
of a conspiracy, and it's a work. It's actually a
plan to work, so it's not a conspiracy, so you can.
Speaker 7 (19:36):
So I'm wondering often about what they need now and why.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
So maybe Shiloh might be the character they need now
for the White Six. I don't know, Like example, but
on the way out.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
And not to we're both Shiloh fans. But as far
as body of work and the more polish the guy
who's ready to be on TV today. I mean, I
think you can put Chila on TV today also, but
you absolutely could put Anthony Luke on TV today.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Well yeah, like I said, the going to your next
spot automatically as you're selling is something that takes time,
and Anthony Luke already has it. So to me, that
was like ten points, oh just for him, and actually
here's more points for him. When he goes out, he says,
thought this competition was about finding the best wrestler. Clearly
(20:32):
it's not call me when you need it. So taker
goes like you got over on the way out and goes,
that's my boy.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
That's right. And if there was any hole in Anthony
counter conspiracy for those of you who's on like the
racial element of things and listen, I appreciate, I understand
that was a bit of a conspiracy, and all conspiracies
are a little far fetched, but counter conspiracy is that
maybe Anthony thought he was the favorite whole time, and
maybe it was a little bit of humble pie was
(21:03):
being was was being distributed out as as well.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Anyway, he was gracious on his way out though, like
I mean he oh in the back.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, when these guys were talking and hugging and every
clearly they're on the same page. They're both professionals, they
know when they know when to work and to stop working.
They clearly have a lot of respect for each other. No,
it was all love and roses.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
Back there and roses when it's are blue and P
Nasty was fighting a Zena certainly. So P Nasty is
like on the front Runner and you know, well nothing
besides I can beat you.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
I was like, where, wow, in this promo battle, this
was a domination. I mean, Zina looked like she was frozen.
She's she she.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Killed her and she you know, brought her back to
life to kill her again and bring Birke back to
life and kill her again and again.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
I mean seriously, you know, P Nasty they just traded
and marked PJ Vasa for her. So my guess is
that PJ or her actual initials, whether it's a first
and middle name or first and last name, I don't know.
But the Vasa. After saying this, I'm thinking it was
like Vasilene in the way Ice CB YOUU came in
the song, because she shows something so far of Xena's
(22:32):
ass and Xena was feeling at the rest of the night.
You Xena lost it and lost the promo battle and
she never got anything back.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
And when it comes to the match, I wouldn't say
it was similar to the promo, but.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
But it wasn't dissimilar. It wasn't well, it wasn't as bad.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
No, no, let's be seriously, so you know, match starts solid.
From our forums from p nasty, Zena was like, you know,
I've been telling old seasons. She can't hit, she can't hit.
And then Bubba like really, got man, what the fuck
you're doing? I was like, yep, there it is again.
There was a you know, solid lock up. Its struggle first. Yeah,
(23:16):
she did.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
Took a step forward and Zo to step backward.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
I mean yeah, but I mean anyway, they when once
she got into the lockup and the struggle, it looked good.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
You know.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
There was a takedown and some ground and pound and yeah,
Zena like she worked too fast. Panina was super intense.
She was she had sound some episodes. I was like,
nothing was coming out of her map blah blah blah.
Not this time. You know, she kept screaming. She was alive.
Zina had good selling, but for some reason, I felt
(23:50):
like she seemed so loft, like she even bumped by
herself on a head butt. She was like, p Nasty
was not even close. She just went she backwards to
kind of swing forward, and she took a bump like
as her head was like all the way back. I
was like, what the fuck, And even like the coaches
were like, oh yeah, the ghost bump. But I love
(24:15):
the freaking name. And you know, p Nasty had a
nice like a drop headbut like Etchering Kerr kind of style.
I thought that was nice that she brought that into
the match.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Was my favorite part. What was my favorite part from
I'll give You a Head When he yelled at her,
He goes, Zina, stop gripping your shoulder.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
Stop. Yeah, oh yeah, because we.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
Were so ahead of the curve with that. I mean
we picked that up weeks before Baba started.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
And you know, p Nasty goes for a splash, she
miss and Zena went like close, like they were so
close to the ropes, like they were not even in
the middle of the ring. That looked super good. She
tried to go over and you know on the whip
whip and you go in the corner and you go over,
but she almost fell to the outside. She hit a
(25:06):
shitty crossbody from the turd rope. Like they were like,
what was that? Like, they gave it a name. I
can't like, A I don't even know what this is.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Called it a baby splash.
Speaker 3 (25:17):
A baby splash.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
Yeah, it was like and you know how I've always
been comparing Zena to like a glow wrestler, but from
the Netflix show Glow.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Yeah, yeah, like an actress trying to do stunts like that.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
Right the last season, of the last episode of season one, Glow,
Alison Bree finally hit a splash from the top turn
buckle on the Perry Dalpin character who Perry Dolphin my
god Chef's kiss. But this was exactly that splash. It
was so unimpactful, it was so unimpressive, and it took
(25:52):
her so long to set up. She's like, what is
she doing? What's taking so long? And then the and
then the baby splash was the result.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
I am sorry anyway, speaking of taking so long, I
felt the match was long, not exciting, disappointing.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
And Panasty goes like, hey, Xena was nervous. I don't
know she didn't look nervous to me. She looked like
lost and like she didn't know why or why she
was there or I don't know. It was like you
know what I'm I'm starting to think that either there
(26:33):
were there was too much pressure, too much too soon
right from the start, or you know what, she's slowly
realizing you know what that might be that might not
be for her.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Well for someone who's dressed like a Disney Yes, someone
who dresses like a Disney princess. I think she was
feeling a little bit frozen, and then when she remembered
what to do, she she was back to her seasons
Xena one episode. She might have to let it go.
I mean, I don't know, but she she needs to
(27:05):
find her confidence or comfort zone where she's not freaking up.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
She would needs to be trained by someone else, then
Bubba who's smitten by her. It doesn't work. You're not
telling her everything she's doing wrong, so you know, everything
is good, everything's good. Well, look that's what it looks like.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
Someone in Mount Royale. Are you in mont Royal? We
have we know a trainer in Mount Royale who is available,
Xena R. It's very reasonable.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
So I need a ring. No, but I mean, my god,
I'm trying to think.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Listen, if you're training zena bubble, send you a ring,
I'll take it. I'm making this deal for Bubba right now.
I speak for him to see he's blocked me on
only one Twitter account, which means we're friends. So no,
I mean, if this is his meal ticket, he will
he will have a ring ship to you. You hear that, Bubba,
I know you listen.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Yeah, but I mean just go and tex me train
with Jazz change you know, train with Jazz in Texas
or I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
There's trying to make business for you now. And and
Bubba not that yankey one that aw used in in
like Brisbane, Australia, wherever backwater they went to.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Oh sweet lord. Anyway, Zina says, I'll be something someday,
which you know what I hope for her maybe, but yeah,
she needs to figure things out and train with someone.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
Else, miss Q the Marshall Tucker Band some someday, some way,
Maybe she'll understand.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
What's that barbarous Threisen song? Some day somewhere.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
Zina, All right, so I think you mean my father,
not me. No, come for the streisand references.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Oh but she keeps going that way. The song, the
Streisand song she's going to be singing is memory.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
I mean, I know, I know memories, and I know
the disco song that they did from that boxing.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
All of the main event thing.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
The main event, right, that's about all of the That's
about all the Barbara stry sand I know offhand.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
But anyway, after a dudy of a match, we get
to I mean now, but it was, it was what
it was, you know, now it's the spitfires, it's Danny
Saikowski's and Serena, which to me was the best promo.
Everything seemed thrilled, nothing seemed scripted. They weren't back and forth,
(29:42):
and you know, everything was intense and I believe what
they were saying.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
I believed what Danny was saying.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Very much sound mostly mostly Danny.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
To me, it felt like Serena was play acting, even
with with wearing the dew rag on her head. I
just thought the whole thing was I thought it was
play She didn't sound. I mean, I thought it was
sort of community theater like I've seen worse acting in wrestling,
but not much Danny. Danny felt real I believe did
we mention the Panina one for nothing? All judges voted
(30:13):
for her, but.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Oh yeah, I forgot about it.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
I didn't. I mean it was a straight flush, so
no surprise there.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Oh yeah, bub Bubba says like everybody that wrestles Zena
is better, and I was like, dude, just fucking let
it go. Yeah, let it go, because right now, like,
didn't are you looking at the same thing we are,
because I've seen the same I don't. I don't know
if the word defect would be, but the hits, the
the grabbing, the arm, it's things we've seen for weeks. Yeah,
(30:43):
and it's like, dude, get it, like, remove your fucking
pink glasses. It's not it's not reality.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Yeah. I almost forgot. I actually forgot the Bubble voted
for his girl. I find the coach votes. He knew
that it was going to be three to one, so
he had her back. Terrific that I guess that's.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Yeah, but you know he's lying to her. He's lying,
Like Booker says, like, you know what Panasty delivers what
the people want, and yeah, she looks like a bad ass.
They want people who can fucking kick aas she delivers that.
So back to the spitfires and the spitfires and yeah,
(31:23):
I felt, you know, say, same as you. I mean,
Serena was was not as good as Danny, but I
always consider the amount of time they they've been there
and trying to see where they were at from where
they are now, and I mean, overall, she's got so
much better. That was like, Okay, she's and it was
(31:43):
not the worst brono I've seen. I mean, Danny was
so much more intense indeed, but I wouldn't say it's
a bad promo. When I think bad promo, I think
about lod de Ice crying on the next tea. Oh
thank god they're not having her do that anymore. And
whatever she's doing now works and it's great in her
and fucking Yeska and miss l Iguana doing great fucking practice.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
The same conversation with Dreuillari when we did the XT
review on the on the No Mercy on the on
the Dreuiari experience on the Wrestling Super Network. A little
crossover plug there, but yeah, no, I I agree one
hundred percent. And one of the nice things about Serena
is that she doesn't fall back upon that and and
you know, so no, as as far as most improved,
(32:29):
Serena is definitely in that competition, but tonight was not
most improved. Tonight was one one and and Danny. As
far as promos are concerned, I would say that that
was you know nobody. It wasn't a knockout, p nasty
knocked out Zena, but it was in boxing. Ten eight
is a pretty dominant So that was a ten eight score.
Speaker 3 (32:47):
Yeah, what what did they call it? Like winning byko
no a technical knockout? Yeah, yeah, the judges from the judges,
So the match like tense lock up. There were some
good corner strikes from Serena, you know, Danny missing the
drop kick. There was like a butt drump and then
(33:09):
an attack on it. With Serena slowing down the pace.
I love that she was working like a stronghold and
keep Danny down. That that would could that that gets
the crowd, you know, clappings for the baby fees to
get up. So Danny was always fighting back the whip
kind of like there was a weird head butt kind
(33:30):
of thing that happened in the corner that ended with
a hair bump and a splash on the knees. That
was like this whole part was like confused but not confusing,
but it looked it didn't look too good to me.
The back and forth for me was too fast and sloppy.
They if they were slowing down and just taking the
time one shot at the time, it would have looked
(33:52):
so much better.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
It.
Speaker 3 (33:54):
Yeah, it was just too fast, so ended up a
little bit sloppy. Serena good, he'll work her. Bronco in
the corner there was so smooth. It's like, oh, she's
like almost like gently sitting on her. I don't know
she was afraid of squash Danny because she's she's smaller,
but it was like that was the soft and rock
of Busser I've ever seen. I love the the comeback
(34:18):
where well, the comeback like it was a slowish bumping feet.
I felt like Sina, not the Sina, but Serena was
getting up a little bit too slow. But I love
the part where they go Serena tries to, you know,
put her feet on the ropes and referee catches it.
Danny tries to pull tight referee season so it's a
(34:39):
little a little tit for tat and even Bubba goes like,
oh I like that the four fifty. Serena's four fifty
looks awesome. She rolls into a hell'sgate. You know, there
was a back and forth story of them kind of
be equal and but just they worked way too fast.
It wasn't a bad match, It's just that if they
(35:00):
would have slowed down a little bit, put more character
into it. You know, Serena was healed definitely, but Danny,
she didn't have any major babyface attributes, Like she was
aggressive but not likable, if that makes any sense.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
So it didn't.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Screen babyface to me, and you know, it would have
been nice that she added a little bit more for me,
you know, want to cheer for her where she's down
and I don't know, a smile, a yay between moves
something that makes me care, and because I like the
fact that she's intense, she's aggressive, but it doesn't make
me like her as a person, and babyface something something
(35:45):
you should do so good much, But slower would have
been better because less sloppy.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yeah, there was at one point where Serena did a
move that the coaches called it a skid mark. She
sort of missed and hit wrong, and I laughed like
a fifteen year old boy, because I am a fifteen
year old boy about that. The broncobuster, as you pointed out,
was terrible, and the coaches pointed that as well. The
(36:15):
end was very abrupt for me. After Serena hits a
really nice four point fifty, there should be some sequence
or some recovery period before Danny should have the strength
to be able to put a hell's gate. Basically, she she,
you know, took a she basically got out of the
four fifty and basically put on a basic armbar and
(36:35):
converted into a hell's gate, which was a nice sequence.
It's just it's like she should have rolled out of
the ring or avoided or or you know, did something. Dude,
you know, kick Serena in the knee, you know, by
a little time get her duck.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
Line, you know, and Serena goes for a power bomb,
reverses into your karana from the your karana, grabbed the
an arm bar or something, just a little something where
you know, you think that she's gonna have her, but no,
and then reverses and then she's really trapped.
Speaker 1 (37:10):
And then she just got that pretty good missile forearm.
She could do that. She's little, so she she launches
us up a couple of times and then does it
whatever there was just you know, maybe they were close
to the time, but at this stage.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
But even then, like that's a great idea what you mentioned.
Let's say Serena misses the four fifty, goes into a role,
comes with a line trying to catch Danny. You know,
from the four to fifty she missed Danny, ducks underneath,
comes with that missile like elbow boom, and as Serena
takes a bomb, sells up, Danny just jumps boom right
(37:41):
away into the house gates. Just from that one thing
duck elbow boom one, it would mean like something then
just like going into the finished lea right there.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Yeah uh yeah. We get to the judges and Booker
basically makes it the most improve The ward votes for
the Serena about sorry, the other three vote for Danny.
I also would have voted for Danny.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
She you know, Michelle says she's the more consistent, which
is absolutely right. Taker also said, like she he feels
she's in a bitter position to win this whole thing,
which he's right. And you know, Bubba said, when I
was watching the match, the person who caught my eye
was Danny. So, I mean all good points Answeringa says
(38:31):
she's grateful and blessed and you know she yeah, and
you know everything she's she's been better and better every episode.
She says, you know, I'm undeniable, I'm gonna make it.
And you know what, I believe her because every every
show there was an improvement. She's always moving forward and
not backwards. And Danny says, like, you know what, last year,
(38:55):
I was saying I was going to win, but I
didn't believe it. Now I do and I found me,
which I feel she's a lot more confident when she
talks like I believe she Yeah, I believe she believes
she can, you know, go all the way.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
I definitely believe that Danny has a future in this business.
I think her size, you know, maybe leads to durability issues.
Who knows, and I have no idea. I mean, Alexa
Bliss has been doing this for a long time, as
well as other people. Serena maybe. I mean, there's not
a lot of people in this competition that I wouldn't
bet that I would bet against. But I don't have
(39:33):
the same faith in Serena as I do in like
Hayes Jamison, who I think just took this thing by storm,
and you know, I sort of feel about her, So
it's different, but the same as Chris Island. I think
that Chris Island actually has more physical tools than Serena,
But Serena, I think her mental outlook is better. It's
(39:55):
like if they could switch heads, I think you'd have like.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
She's got the care, she's got the attitude.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah, though I think putting his head and her body
would have given you Zena today or you know, this
episode anyway, that's not neither here nor there. But but
I think we all agree that Danny deserved to move forward,
and in fact, she is moving forward, which brings us
to two guys who apparently don't like each other and
(40:22):
have heat. I don't remember them having any, particularly, I
mean Harlan, you know, manufactures heat with everybody. So yeah,
I do remember him having heat with Anthony Luke. I
do remember him having heat with Chris Island. I don't
remember it with Shiloh. I'm not Shylah. I'm sorry with Drake.
Did I just forget about it or miss it or
(40:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
No, I don't I don't remember them. Well, here's the
thing with Arlen, as you mentioned, I feel like he
hates everybody sod and what it is. When it comes
to the promo, I felt there was one tone like
they didn't really want, they didn't want make they make
me want to see this match. I felt for wow
(41:06):
for one of the rare times, like it's lacked intensity,
and you know from Arlem, I expect intensity, and to
me it was shit talk to shit talk. It was like, eh, whatever.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Liked it. I mean I did find intensity. I mean,
you know, Harlem base is like, bro, I don't like you.
You don't deserve to be here. You're a charity case,
you were a living you failed three times now and
you and you got your butt saved in some technicality.
And then I'm like Drake's just looking at him. I
thought Jerke is dead. And then Drake is like, I
(41:42):
might have gotten here by a technicality, but I'm gonna
earn everything and I'm gonna kill you. I'm gonna I'm
gonna plant you on the sixth Street under with my chokes.
So actually Drake recovered pretty well. So for me, I
was like I thought, I thought it was fine. I
don't think that there were a lot of layers to it,
but yeah, yeah, you so. But I thought it was
(42:03):
a perfectly good promo. And actually I was expecting to
call this a Harlem knockout, but I thought Drake came
back pretty well, and maybe it was a tie or
maybe Harlem dre you know, Harlem ten to nine. But
I told it was fine, and I actually was looking
forward to the match. Of course, I would have been
looking forward to this match anyway.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
So yeah, it's just that it's it's probably me, No,
it's from r Lim, Like, I don't know why I
was expecting him, Like, I don't know, I don't know
what it was I was expecting, but maybe, yeah I.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
Put it, yeah, you know, I would.
Speaker 3 (42:40):
I was expecting him.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
To be press some tattoo off at the corner of
his eye.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
All those answers. Yeah, I don't know. I was expecting,
so maybe something else. But again, not the worst promos
I being than wrestling. It was just it didn't have
layers to me. Yeah, but I mean.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Well, it's about time we started disagreeing on things at
Week fourteen.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
It's you're not wrong, It's just that I felt like
not they're not that he should have screamed the promo,
but I felt like different tones in it, like I
don't like you, and I like go up and down
and and and like levels to it where he sounds
(43:24):
menacing and then he sounds aggressive. And that's that's maybe
how I see Arlem Lewis, where he's very quiet, you know,
how Jake Roberts would do a promo like really soft
even now he was like kind of serious, and then
he would get like menacing, like he was going to
kill you.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
That's that's how I.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
You know, I envisioned Arlem. So maybe that's why I's like,
okay like that.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
I know this just started so much like Penasty and Zena,
but instead of yeah, it's like didn't die, right, Drake
actually came back and gave about as good as he got.
So so maybe my in any event, this this this
did feel a little bit like, you know, two sophomores
on college football teams, you know, talking about getting into
(44:12):
a fight. But I don't know, I'm okay with that.
You know, I'm not back.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
It was okay, it was okay, and so lock up
into a solid arm bar. Drake fights back and retaliates
with an arm, you know, arm work of his own,
Arlen Pol's hair, back and forth, the shots. I felt
like in this one, you know how the match before
they were going kind of back and forth, or even
(44:38):
even more maybe Xena and Panassi they were trying to
back and forth thing. And the match before, yeah, the
match before too with Danny where they were rushing it.
I felt that this one, like pacing, was right. There
was a sense of urgency of trying to get the
best out of the you know, the other of the opponent.
(44:59):
But they would take enough time, so everything meant something.
So big difference between going too fast and having a
sense of urgency, and I think that's exactly what they
were doing there, which was you know, was great solid
punches by Drake. He has good fire. I really loved
(45:19):
his big splash that he did and after right with
right back to the arm. The back and forth boots
also were pretty cool. You know miss the corner, the
schoolboy in the corner on the buckle. I love this move.
I was using it myself to go for a cannonball
after it. I think it looks devastating and with Drake
(45:39):
being so tall, the way he kind of holds in
the corner. It looks like it's nasty, so great, great
stuff that use on him. You know, Arlin was stumping
him and choking with a boot, the neck breaker on
the aprint to the floor and to get into the eat,
you know, to stop the taller guy from being in
control and work a little bit of heel. There was
(46:00):
great and I love that they worked from the ground
up to you know, get the crowd going. Harlem missed
an elbow and we went into a hole spot for
for Drake, then into a comeback and finally in this match,
solid bumping, you know, bumping feet, taking a bomb, getting
back up right away boom boom boom the big boot,
(46:22):
like the crowd like really woke up. Choke slam Duck
into that beautiful discuss lariat that he does like. And
I love that it was mentioned like oh shades of
Carrie von Eric and a very high choke slam. A
great showing from the both.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
I love.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
I think it's Bubbo says, you know, Drake right now
has the perfect mix of entertaining insiious. So I was like, yeah,
this guy like really grew on me too. Throughout the season.
The first match I was like, eh, and then the
more like each match, I was like, Yep, this guy's good,
this guy's good. I want to see more. I want
(47:04):
to see more. So yeah, this match, this match was
really good.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
I agree Drake. I mean, if there was the most improved,
Drake is definitely the most improved male. But unlike my
family about Serena, who she's the most improved, but she's
not in the top tier. I think Drake got himself
most improved and into the top tier. That doesn't mean
he should win necessarily. But this match was very physical.
Harlem was much more physical until he wasn't until Drake
(47:33):
was just as visical on maxis physicality. Also, there was
some point where Harlem it was a spot where where
Harlem was supposed to throw a clothes line. Drake was
gonna duck it, he was gonna miss it, and Harlem
just threw like the weakest clothes line and that that
hurt a lot for me. But for two guys who
say they don't like each other, hey, maybe it's part
of the work, but we're acting like they don't like
(47:54):
each other in real life, or at least one of
them doesn't. They worked pretty darn well together, pretty snug
and clearly, so you know, I think they had really
good chemistry Harlem for guy who's like he's you know,
clearly okay with being booked to lose and and you
know from from the choke slam. I can't figure out
(48:16):
exactly who Drake reminds me of because that discus Larry
was like carry von Era the big boot and the
and the and the choke slam is. I mean, it's
more Kevin Nash than Undertaker, but he's faster. It's almost
like JBL. If JBL had like Kevin Nash's move set,
it's it's.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
Wow, I have a blank.
Speaker 1 (48:38):
But I don't remember JBL ever using kicks at discus. No,
not a discus but his clothes. Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (48:48):
My god, he wrestled in Japan. Well what a bring
feart cowboy, goddamn handsome Yes.
Speaker 7 (48:56):
Hansen, thank you could be sick and Japan style like
the big boots and the running and big guy moving.
Speaker 1 (49:06):
Fast just with the choke slam. It's like, I don't
I just feel like I just don't feel like it's
a tall sort of thick guy. I feel like it's
a tall yeah, yeah, I mean, you know tall proportion
as opposed to these guys that were like, you know, built,
like you know Wag, you know Kegs basically you know.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
All these a young big show maybe maybe like w
c W big Show at twenty one years old.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Yeah, he's got speed to him as well. Yeah, yeah,
he's he's he's got offensive lineman feet. I mean he's
got that. That was anyway, this was a very good match.
I was I don't know if it was as good
as Luke Hill, but it wasn't far behind.
Speaker 3 (49:55):
Yeah, different different story in the match that worked as well.
But I look good, and I mean book I look
good to the point where Taker chose Drake, Michelle chose
ar Limb because she says he's credible, which is right.
Booker says, ar Limb, he said he made the other
guy look good, which I don't agree, because once Drake
(50:17):
is in babyface mode and goes for his comeback, that's
all him. His punches are fucking clean, his shots are great.
I mean, that's his own work. That's not the other guy.
So I mean, come on, book her fucking and Bubba
goes Drake. He's the entertainer and killer at the same time.
He can do both. And this is absolutely true. So
(50:39):
we have a tie. And then speaking of Booker.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
Indeed, so I like Booker is becoming there in house
Jonathan Coachman Maven, he's just making shit up and saying
saying things you know, I understand back in your team,
but the whole thing, I mean.
Speaker 3 (51:00):
Charlem belt you at the you know, be at the
right place at the right time.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
I was like, he's trying to like how Bubba talks
about Zen and then like you know that that that
wasn't his. But he's like he's like, he's like pointing,
he's like yelling at Drake to say, admit that. How
much did Harlem help you? And he's like, what are
you talking about? We worked together and wrestling, we.
Speaker 3 (51:21):
Both understand the assignment. And it was like yeah, and
pretty much.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
Perfectly good answer. And then and then Undertaker asks Harlem
the same question, and you expect him to be like,
I'm a team book yeah, I And so he goes,
he goes with respect, that's that's for you guys to call.
You know, I.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
Want to answer that, and Taker goes, that's the good answer,
as you should.
Speaker 1 (51:48):
That's right. And that impressed me so much because I
had never really seen Harlem keep his head like that,
except when he went to Booker privately and said, I
have trouble keeping my head, so let's talk this out,
which so I guess I did, but in the moment,
in the moment actually being he's.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
Really smart, like he knows he probably knows that, you know,
Booker is wrong, and he set up the match with Drake.
He knows that both you know, came up with ideas
and they they made it work together, like he'll have
good heat, he'll add good like you know, aggressiveness and
Babyface had a great comeback, great fire. That's they work. Yeah,
(52:31):
both understood the assignment and whatever they had to do.
Speaker 1 (52:34):
Do you think he understood enough chess to know, Okay,
I got to stay on the good side of my coach,
but at this point all of the judges mattered the
same for my faate going forward, and I don't need
to play into this foolishness.
Speaker 3 (52:48):
Yeah, that too. That's why I said he's really smart.
So and even tak Taker said it like that was
the right answer.
Speaker 1 (52:55):
Yeah, if Taker says it's the right answer, you know,
ninety seven out of one hundred times it's the right answer.
And those other three times he's not in, He's probably
not going be entirely wrong about wrestling, you know for sure.
So yeah, so this is interesting because we're told that
Sean is going to decide who gets the point, and
apparently we're going to get another match between these guys
(53:17):
to work that out. So next week we're going to
get I guess, I guess they decide a three match
format is the way to go in it. So, you know,
probably a little bit of manufactured drama, but that's okay,
and I don't I won't mind seeing these two guys
go again, and I won't mind seeing something different out
of Harlem. I don't know what I want to see,
(53:37):
but I want to see something more than just a
ground game. I want to see I want to see
like a flying clothes line, like a doomsday device with
you know, without the chicken you know, the chicken fight
aspect of it. I want to see something. I want
to see him use. I want to see him do
a drop cap just.
Speaker 3 (53:55):
You know, or you know, what we keep saying reminds
us of you know, old school career. It's been their
flying head butt, something that you know, Ben what was
always on the ground you know, using soup lexes and
you know, a hard elbow, black elbows or whatever. But
he's gonna he would go up and use that you know,
flying headbutt, something that you know that was different in
(54:17):
his arsenal. That would be great, Like something like that
doesn't need to be the headbutt, but.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
Pull a thing of nuts or a little chain out
from his trunks and and and cheat something. I want
to see a little bit something more out of Harlem.
Otherwise I hate to say it, I would have to go.
I don't hate to say it. I will probably go
with Drake. I mean, I did say early on in
the year, I don't think Harlem Lewis is gonna win
this competition, but I think he's the he's the favorite
(54:43):
for winning season three. But he's already in Noah, which
Charlie Dempsey. So clearly he's not gonna be a LFG
season three. He's he's onto bigger and better things. Good
for him. But yeah, we'll see. I mean, I'm looking
forward to next week and obviously we're gonna get Oh,
it's just two matches, it's gonna be so it's going
to be a two match, well, no three matches. We're
(55:04):
Gonnas the finals of the finals of who the guys
are going to be, So whoever Shiloh has to face
and whoever that is, that's gonna be a great match.
Speaker 3 (55:11):
I mean, and daddy nasty. Yeah, And it's from what
I I from what I saw with the coming next week,
Arlem pushes Drake two is going to be in front
of the crowd. If I write.
Speaker 1 (55:23):
I think they're all going to be in front of
the crowd from.
Speaker 3 (55:25):
The Yeah, makes sense, makes sense. But the guys there,
they will have to wrestle.
Speaker 1 (55:30):
Twice, and they'll be in well one of them well
and and they'll be in Houston, which is Booker's home town.
So he's either going to get it so the.
Speaker 3 (55:42):
Takers town, right, Takers, Yeah, Takers around two?
Speaker 1 (55:46):
Is he used the Takers more Dallas Austin.
Speaker 3 (55:50):
No, he's not Dallas anymore? Pretty sure he's not.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
I don't know, but I I know that that the Booker,
he's going to get very excited and they're going to
be spectacularly the right reasons, so spectacularly the wrong reasons.
Either way, I'm here for it.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
Well, he's gonna cheer for his guy, that's for sure.
But who do you want to see. Do you want
to see Shiloh versus Drake or Arlem? Because you remember
what Taker said last was it last week or the
week before? You know, two guys we should be in
the finals are Drake and Shiloh, and that could happen.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
Yeah, that sounds like a little before. But I think
I'd rather see Harlem versus Shiloh. It seems like they're
very similar, except Shiloh has the moves that I wish
Harlem would adopt a few more of them. H Harlem's
about thirty five pounds too light for just his move set.
(56:46):
Like he wrestles more like Dino Bravo, but he's not
as big as Dino Bravo, you know. I mean, that's
not a really.
Speaker 3 (56:51):
Great needs a little bit of Vettie Derrero in there.
Speaker 1 (56:54):
Yeah, he's he's not the key to Colof's side, so
it can't wrestle exactly that I think you call it
for a road war or animal. He's he needs a
little bit of Hawk, you know, in him, just a little,
just a little. And Shiloh is more He's got it.
He's more well rounded, so you know, he can he
can get off his feet some and he can move around,
and he can fly out of the ring and just
(57:16):
just just enough. He's not Keith Lee out there, but
he can he can, he can do just enough. So yeah,
but either way, I think either way we win. I
do think that Drake is more polished and Shilah than Harlan,
So I think that the finalists actually would be a
better match. But I got miss I. I I like
(57:36):
a brawler fight, you know, and and so that's what
I want to see. But whatever, we'll see who warns it.
Maybe it'll maybe be made clear next week. If it's
if it's so even next week, I'll anguish. But if
it's not even, I'm gonna you know, I'm pretty objective
about who does who I think does better.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
Yeah, so taker goes. It's the beginning of the road
or the end, depending on how you see it. So yeah,
we're gonna know who will be the LFG champions or winners.
You asked me, I don't know if I think I
(58:15):
want to see more because I feel right now they
need bigger guys, babyface who can go. So that's why
I'm pulling more for Drake and Shiloh. But to me,
Drake has been more polished than Shiloh. Shiloh had bad days,
Drake just went better and better and better, and I
(58:37):
think he found himself finally. And I think they need
a character like this at NXT.
Speaker 1 (58:42):
No, yeah, I think so. I mean, you know, it's
he has what Josh Briggs doesn't have. He he has
a person that people can get behind, you know. And
and Drake can be face very easily, but he can
also be a heel very as well. And since he's
(59:03):
from New Orleans, maybe he can bring in a little
bit of a Ludu hudu into it and bring them
back a little bit Poppa Shank. Okay ye, did you ever.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
Go back to I've gone to New Orleans from Russell Media,
they might have a local star. So for the girls,
it's really hard though, because they're so different. Like do
you want like a little spitfire aggressive or you want
a beast that it can actually go? Because right now
it's it's like there's there's bigger girls who can go
(59:35):
like lash Legend and I mean I can't say Naya
Jack's because she's hurt someone else this week, so like
like that is what it is. But I feel they
need more of those they need like they need stronger
heels and that can like throw people around and that
are menacing and they're actually a threat to the baby Faces. Danny,
(01:00:02):
there's Diamond Dozens. I would rather see jay A's Jamison
if I if I have to pick a smaller person,
I'd rather I'd rather have that little annoying heel who's
fucking entertaining and bumps like shit. But it doesn't matter
because she's drunk, so it's part of the stick. So yeah,
(01:00:22):
it's just.
Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
I like Danny quite a bit, but I think that
p Nasty is more natural for the wrestling world. I
think that she would she would fill so many roles.
She could be fit into so many things.
Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
I think she's needed right now.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
Yeah, I think she's needed right now. I agree with
the Hayes Jamison. Obviously we're both team Hayes Jamison. And
as far as a smaller woman who's convincing, they already
have her. Kendall Gray, She's fantastic.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
There's there's a few, so I mean, if you think
about Eos guy, it's you know, same size dish, but
you know.
Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
I mean, I think Danny is smaller than all of them.
But yeah, she is and also, I mean, listen, I
know we're not making ease. And then sometimes they like
the David versus Goliath. Sorry, but I mean, do you
really want the whole Rio conversation to be in ww
she's so small.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
An' He's not real though, But they're both like Danny
has She's small, but she's muscular real. She looks like
she's twelve years old.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
It's like looking at a child wrestling. But she is
nothing personal against CEO. I do Rio. I do not
know her, but they're you know, her coming down the
ring and having Mercedes Monet while she's small too, but
or you know, bigger girls like running Away Chris Staplan.
(01:01:49):
I'm like, oh please, like ah.
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
Yeah, well, Danny is definitely more of an athlete than
with the background and all of the other stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
She has the background, you know, true leading. It's tough.
Speaker 1 (01:02:03):
Still, she's I have a feeling if we saw Danning
next to Alexa Bliss, Alexi Bliss would look big probably, yeah,
and that's a problem for some in wrestling, and I
am an avowed sizes. But I mean it's also a
fun little story. I mean, you know, anyway, you know
I I do think there's a way to.
Speaker 3 (01:02:23):
Work with it at the right time, the right spot.
But like, yeah, I feel they need more pnasties right
now and.
Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
The next generation of you know, Polynesian dynasty. You know,
a young and you know, I mean Jacob ain't that
young at whatever is thirty five, thirty six he is,
He's amazing or whatever whatever age he is.
Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
And I mean there was to me. Now she's not
there anymore. They need a woman.
Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
The Tonga twins are out there, but I honestly don't
haven't seen them work. I don't know if they're really
any good. And then and I don't know their ages either,
So in any event, you know, WW can sort of
pick things for themselves, I'm sure, but well, they don't
always have the right taste anyway. But yeah, your question
was who do they need more? And then we both
(01:03:11):
agree right now p nasty, more versatile, more necessary, more
ready right now and as and to fill the void
of the one hundred and two pounder who's believable and tough.
Kendall Gray is already there. If if folks off you
are not familiar with her, watch them evolve. She's been
on NXC in the background role. She had a couple
she was in that tav On Heights building a Teeth
(01:03:34):
and Paige story. She actually when she was in grade school,
high school, whatever, she was too good at wrestling that
she actually had to wrestle boys and she was like
sixty one and oh in high school.
Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
And yeah, a story by itself.
Speaker 1 (01:03:49):
That's a story by itself. So she's failing really good.
Like we mentioned a few weeks back, when Undertaker told
Danny Sikewski, make me forget how small you are. I said,
that's exactly what Kendall Gray did. She made me forget
how small she was. So I'm all, you know, I
like Danny a lot. They're not limited by one. But
if you had to pick one right now, or if
(01:04:10):
I had to pick one right right now, I would
say it would be panastic.
Speaker 3 (01:04:13):
And next week we will know. Indeed, so it'll be
episode fifteen at the end of the room.
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Indeed, we're gonna have to make a decision after that show.
We're gonna have to make a decision whether we're going
to do that and invite the psychologist on for that
show too, or if we're going to do that show
and then her invite her on the week after for
a retrospective.
Speaker 3 (01:04:32):

Speaker 1 (01:05:11):

yet different. I do a Dose of Chocolate with White

a WWE product, and then my own shows are called
Garden of Thought and one of those is the subtitled
Gospel of Thomas with my co host mister Thomas. And
this week we interviewed the epic Doug min who was
(01:07:01):
the guy who pulled Roger Jackson off of Psychosto and
got some fun guests lined up and some guest co
hosts and who knows, and then the regular Garden shows
a little bit different, but just just sort of like
the Joe Rogan Show, but without the bronus and other
embraceive conspiracy, but the same kind of variety. Certainly not
(01:07:22):
the celebrity or success, but the level of guests, sometimes
exactly on par, sometimes exactly on point, sometimes remarkably close,
like like a half a degree of separation. So if
you want to support just your friends at Soup all
those shows on the Wrestling Soup Network, but check out Garden.
I fought there's something for everybody on there, I assure you.
Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
