Speaker 1 (00:01):
Listen to Wrestling Suit, the greatest podcast on the Internet.
To put him in his stew Boil them, put him
in his new boil them. But hi Stew, it's a
wrestling step, but it's not alfg Oh, surprise, surprise, surprise.
(00:25):
This is Worlds Collide. It actually took a while for
us to get together and get this thing going because
this show was late for an old fart like me.
But we made it through. And me and Michael Pradre,
mister Jeff Flipman lawyer extraordinaire, we are back together, back back, back, back,
(00:46):
back at it again, well for the first time for
at least utterblate event. How are you dear, Jeff Lah It's.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Absolutely yes. I so like Honestly, I thought the show
was going to be from ten to midnight. I it
never occurred to me that it was going to go
into one am.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
You don't know, Luca then.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Listen. I just thought that the ww was doing things
by time slots. I had no basis for this information
other than a figure if it starts attend, it ends
at midnight. Obviously not the case, so doing it live
was not likely to happen. Starting a show at one
am like Finishing a show at one am is one thing.
(01:32):
Starting at one am is another. But I'm glad that
we're here now and then we can talk about the show.
There was some good. I don't know there was any
bad necessarily, but there was you know something, Luca is
an adjustment.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
It is. Actually, here's the thing about Luca Conan, who's
obviously one of the commentators on that show. I once,
well more than when, more than once, I've worked with Conan,
and I was always trying to make sense of my matches.
And he's like, here's one thing that stuck for me,
and that's the way you got to look at Luca.
(02:10):
He says, Hey, it doesn't matter, it's Luca. So well,
I'll tell you.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
I'll tell you one thing that I thought mattered is
that why was Conan like at the kiddie seat his
his seat had to be a foot below everyone else's.
What was that about? I mean, we have Corey at
you know, normal height, and then JBL, who's you know,
big to begin with, I think is even higher. By
the way, Jbl that that with that camera angle, you
(02:42):
and I have something in common, which is that we
have basically the same Baltswell, so yeah, yes, so I
guess it's the generic white guy wald spot despite you know,
whether you're six foot six or five foot ten or whatever.
But yeah, why why was hey? Why was Conan wearing
an open color shirt with his lapel's hopped over his blazer?
(03:02):
And and why was he in the kid seat?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
I don't know that that should have been my seat
that I at once. I guess it would be in
seat I would be sitting in. But no, I don't
know if they, I don't know, talk about it before
the you know, going onto the commenter's boots. But yeah,
for some reason, Conan was sitting super low. Maybe it
was for comfort. I don't blame him. Maybe it was
(03:26):
ruple this way you know everything. But here's the thing. Yes,
everybody is chill in Mexico. There is no stress. And
you were talking about how late it ended. Well, one
thing for sure, if a show, well, it will it
will not happen under WWE's you know umbrella now. But
(03:47):
usually if the show in Mexico or anywhere in the
country is set for eight, you can be sure and
it will probably start around ten or or eleven. It's
it's always like two or three hours later. So at first,
the first trips I went to Mexico, I was like
super stressed. I was like, oh my god, they're not
here the show starting. No, no, no, no, just relax.
(04:11):
You'll get there when you get there. No stress. And
maybe that's why, like they controlled when it start and
did not control the when it ended. And I mean,
it's on YouTube, does it really matter? After all? I
was like, you know so, and they wanted to wait
of course that SmackDown was over, so they would have
(04:34):
their fan go from well, for US Canadians it's Netflix
for SmackDown, and we go to YouTube, and for for
you what what's SmackDown? NXT's on CW and SmackDown is
on USA. Correct, Yeah you're so, oh my god, not
too bad. Well I lived there for five years. But anyway,
(04:57):
one thing, speaking of how how it began, they we're
showing the arrivals, like wwe like when the people come in,
and so that was that was a little bit different.
And we saw Undertaker as a boss, Yes, mister Taker
with the papers in hand, you know, waiting there. And
(05:18):
of course one thing that really you know, stood out
is the Kingo arriving and under what's the word I was.
It's not a chance. It's it's more of a our
shower of booze. Oh my god. They will never get
over the del Patrone.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
You know what I think they did at the end.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
By the end, well, well we get there. Obviously there's
a new hero. Actually, you know what, there's two, maybe
three new heroes in town after this event. But anyway,
we started with the national anthem. This time, the lovely
Mexican lady knew all the words. I don't know she's Mexican,
(06:06):
but I mean Spanish singing. I don't want to assume,
but I'm oh, yeah, she is Mexican. They said she
was a great Oh my god, who chair shots. She
was like a singer in Mexico, like well known. I
I didn't write down her name, but yeah, I knew
all the words. You remember the last show, the ladies
like words. I ever, Ray mas Cereal might be wearing
(06:33):
a mask, but you could clearly see his expression when
he was like what the fuck? Anyway, this time everything
went well. Lennon Garcia, you know, sang the you know
United States anthem? She signed? So how fucking Freddy is little?
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Is lil?
Speaker 1 (06:54):
And Garcia a mom? I don't think so right.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
I should know this. I don't know it.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
I think no, because I was going, you know, we
could we could definitely use the word milf here. But
here's the thing, I don't know she actually has children,
so well, I don't. I'm not what's the other word
when ugar jaguar, Well, she's all that fine, fine, fine woman,
(07:22):
fine beautiful voice like so I sang.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
The hell out of that song. By the way, was
in Las Vegas, so I guess that's why it was
on time and also why it was started. It was
eight o'clock local time. It was ten o'clock. You know
my time Eastern? Yes, same, right, Canadian Eastern is the
same as US Eastern.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
So yes, yes, yes, Astern as Eastern.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Indeed. Okay, So the president of Triple A. There's there's
two people that always showed. One is that woman and
I listen. I know the world was gonna hate me
for this, but her her botch plast surgeries. It's it's
is disconcerting. She looks like like like when they have listen.
(08:07):
Everyone knows I do podcasts that we sometimes visit with,
you know, the fantastical and aliens. She looks like the
Pleiadians or you know something she I mean, you know,
so of like Michael Jackson towards the end, like right
before he had to like start wearing a mask like
he was the invisible man because his nose no longer
was there. Like she's she looks like she's like one
bad cold away from that. Well it's said, right, let
(08:32):
the hate come, let the hand.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Well you're probably saying what a lot of people are thinking.
That is what it is. Anyway, So the show started
with our friend Penta when his freaking awesome intro music. Fuck,
I love his music. He's a former tag team and
Latin American champion when it comes to Triple A. He
(08:55):
was pumping the crowd, you know, getting that Independence Day
of Mexico in it, and it was all about Mexican
tradition and you know, looking to fight the mega champion,
whoever that might be at the end of the night.
So sweet, sweet sweet Panta, So love him. And of
course I already mentioned Conan and his low chair. We
(09:18):
mentioned Conan his low chair on commentating commentating Boots Sorry
m with JBL with Corey Graves, and with that we
went into the first match, which was Octogen Junior versus
I mean sorry, sorry, they were together Octagon Junior, Laredo, Kidd,
(09:41):
La Parca, Mascarlita Segada versus the LW who were with
Lintz Dorado and Abismo Negro the mini version.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah, which was sort of hard to tell that he was.
He doesn't really look like a mini very much. So,
I mean, he wasn't that much smaller than some of
the people heightwise, and he was certainly thicker than some
of them.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
I was going to say he was a thick one too.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Yeah, I wasn't sure who the heels of the faces
were here. I guess it didn't matter. I mean, I
knew the regular.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Abuse, so it doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
It doesn't matter, so right you you cued me up
to that doesn't matter. I think you even out of
the words it's Luca, it doesn't matter. It's silly and
it was a little and you know this is the
one where you know, I mean someone's l W. I
guess we should clarify that it was Walking Wild and
Cruise del Toro and Lindsay Dorado, and I mean, while
(10:42):
he wasn't the pin eater, you pretty much know when
Lyndsay Dorado's there, he's there. To be on the losing team,
and I don't think he cares. I don't think he
minds at all. I mean, it's a it's a it's
a job. I mean, I'm I understand, you know, I
understand the credentials and the things about titles and whatever.
But I mean, if someone gives you a tie, probably
just means that you have a job and you have
a spot. I mean, you know, just because the Joker
(11:04):
always loses to Batman doesn't mean that he was a jobber,
you know.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I mean no, you absolutely need that character to you know,
help the other one get, you know, to the top,
or to make the other one look good or all
that stuff. Actually, I really what I love that The
first thing that they mentioned on commentary is how Antonio Opina,
you know, he wanted to showcase the minis and show
(11:29):
what they could do, that they could be more than
just an attraction. Just they were so much more than
just like you know, funny characters and all about jokes
and stuff. They can actually do. They know how to wrestle,
they they know how to loucha, they do the high flying.
It's so like freaking amazing what they could do, Like
(11:50):
the size doesn't matter, And also props to JBL mentioned
that he threw a garbage can at arn Swaggle nice
little like wink wink from the past here, And I
mean right from the start, they were showing a lot
of athleticism and hard shots like in Mexico they chop
and overhand like, and there was a lot of that
(12:13):
throughout the whole night. And at one point Del Toro
goes into a six to one night to the outside
and was like fuck.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
Boom man and a Spanish fly on the head and
fancy pitfalls and for some like at one point it
was all about La Parka dancing and something something park
dancing and stuff.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
A lot of dancing.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
Is that or La park I I I, I guess
it's a love.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Park They announced him. No park isn't he the one
that passed away?
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yeah, one of one of them, but they both have
like the same outfits, so I've always gotten confused. But
this the Parka has two kids, weren't they all in
MLW And they were doing like the Taco review kind
of thing, and and I think this is one of
his sons though obviously the taller, thinner one. But yeah,
(13:09):
he loves he loves to dance, and he loves to
dance it sometimes inappropriate times, but he's got all.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Have you ever thought that depth could be sober as
a baby face sadly?
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yes, I mean listen to me now, I sort of
know why Penta keeps, you know, sort of sash Shane rhythmically,
even when I wish he would sort of tone that
down just a bit. I mean, I don't know. I
still don't understand why yeat is a thing. So what
do I know about anything? But La Parka likes to dance.
(13:42):
I believe Laredo Kid was sort of within the last
forty eight hours of the show replacement. I forget who
he replaced. I do like Octagon Don Junior. Yeah, I
think he's very talented. I'm not sure that showcasing the
minis for what they can do their athleticism really is
the best idea because it even though it is Luca
(14:05):
and it's silly, it looked silly to me. And one
of the minis didn't look like I mean, last Triple
A WWE show, they had a guy on who I
forget his name, but he was wearing a blue shirt.
He was basically like a paunchy fat guy and he
only had one name in his wrestling name and basically oh.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
The Burger Burger Burger, yes, Hamburger or.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Something as Hamburger, whatever is named pork Chop whatever his
name is. Anyway, this guy that the mini Obismo looked
like he could easily take taking the pork Chop Jones
or you know whoever he is.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
He was doing power moves and I mean once once
he went in there with Segarada like doing is all
around the world like forever. It seems like, going around
and around and round. I was like, it's it's the
people were standing, so of course, for I would say
the regular wrestling fan, it's not something usual, but it
is impressive. I mean, I don't know, like I I've
(15:05):
never I tried to do that and I went maybe
one like once twice maybe three times, and then I
felt the ground. But I mean people were standing. It
was great to see them shine. And I understand it's
not for everybody, but it makes Lucia different. And I mean,
(15:25):
besides that, Del Toro had great heel heat even did
like the RVD Coast to coast at one point and
it ended up like it always becomes a little bit
of a mess when it's like in a in tag
matches like this, because there's no tags in Luca. They
just go in and out and in and out. One
rolls out, one comes in one. So is there a
(15:46):
legal man? Not really, it's whoever's in at this moment.
And these are things you got to get used to it.
You have to kind of turn off that wrestling ruled
mind and just enjoy for what it is.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Oh my god, that just maybe when you said legal man,
Conan made an ice joke. I mean luckily it wasn't JBL,
but it was called yeah. And still I'm like, whoa,
wait a minute, I mean, okay, it's YouTube. But still,
by the way, we should say on YouTube between like
I don't know what the number count is now, but
(16:20):
between the WWE regularly Triple A YouTube channel, the WWE
Triple A Spanish channel, and Triple A's own YouTube channel,
they were there was like as of like yesterday, there
were over like two and a half million views of this.
I think it was over three million actually, and yeah,
there were base it was like one and a half
million on WWE English about eight or nine hundred thousand dollars,
(16:44):
not thousand dollars on WW Spaniel and I realized that
WW triple A Spaniel and is and on the regular
Triple A there was at least another six hundred thousands,
whatever that comes up to. It was a it's around
three million, and I'm sure it's counting. I'm sure the
count's slowing down. But still that's a success.
Speaker 1 (17:03):
Yeah. For anybody that that you know, thought that you know,
aligning with w W would be a bad thing, then
it would destroy your ble. I'm like the numbers are
speaking right now. They've never they never had so many
people watching the product right now, Like it's it's ridiculous
and and and good for them, Like I've worked there.
They're good people, they're hard workers, and I mean good.
(17:26):
It's more eyes on a different product, a different a
different style of wrestling.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Conahan and Lindsay Dorado echoed it, and a few of
other people confirmed it's like just just the travel accommodations,
the plane. Oh yeah, it's the hotels, like every everything
has leveled up now. I don't know what that means.
I don't know if they went no more.
Speaker 1 (17:48):
Like buses, school buses to gout to city to another
probably and good for them. Because that's that was a challenge.
Speaker 2 (17:55):
I don't know if that's like one hump Camels to
two hump camels. No, I mean, I'm guessing it's like
they're like business class hotels and whatever. You know, they're
like Hilton's and you know, and then and the you know,
the planes and there's more transportation and all of that stuff,
and the caterings better. And these are the little I mean,
it's a hard life and these are perks and they're
not little perks. And by way, free food is not
(18:18):
is not is nothing to sneeze at. Ever.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Oh, ask any wrestler, free food is a good thing.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
All right, And ask any fat guy with my with
my ball spot. I'll tell you. I think that Cruise
del Toro sort of was the star of the show.
I mean, I think that this acquisition is so good
for the all of the people that are affiliate with
the l w O. It's great for ray Mystereo, it's
it's it's good for Penta, it's good for Phoenix. I
(18:49):
sort of wonder if they might work something up with
ANDROTI I don't think so, but maybe the door's open
right now.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
What's what's happening with him, so he's been Yeah, they
brought him out, like they kind of escored him out.
That's the last thing I've heard and might have felt,
you know, a test or something like. There's so many
different things, but as long as we don't hear from him,
(19:19):
I was like.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Well, maybe just in Metsico, maybe just in Triple A.
I don't know, You're right, I probably wish. I'm not
even that big of an ANDROTI fan. I'm just saying, listen,
Santo Sakabar, I mean, what's he been doing, you know, nothing,
nothing really, and he's got star potential, but you know,
I mean, there's no there's not a whole lot of
room at the top of WW right now, and there
(19:40):
rumored to be you know, bringing in some new bodies
and then certainly some people can raised. So Santo saska
Bar is a guy who could walk in there and
be involved in a lot of you know, important storylines.
So I'm excited for that. I mean, I sort of
I don't fear it because I don't know any enough
of these people. Well, but I imagine that some of
(20:02):
the Triple A roster is vulnerable at this point, and
I'm sure they don't feel great about it, But the
audience is going to be bigger, more tickets will be sold,
and it is going to be an elevation. And the talent,
because some of the talent is terrific and some of
it's not so terrific. Light Hamburger whatever his.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Name was, and any promotions probably well probably yeah, I
mean yes, that's some of you like, some of you don't.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
There's a hierarchy every place.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
The following match was actually two women in their forties
in Fabi Apace and Natalia well we should say that
that the.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
I guess the good guy team with the many who
actually looked like a mini want in the mind, yes,
and the Mascarita Sigrato whatever who's apparently sixty years old,
pin a bis smoe and the grease smoke. I'm sorry,
I don't I could pronounce it in.
Speaker 1 (21:05):
The showers of yay and happy.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
People, happy people, exactly right, happy people.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
So back to the ladies match, Natalia has a slight
different gimmick in in triple A and she kind of
comes out with her undentourage looking like Goldberg. I was
like I was expecting for Naty. Naty so Faby is
a She's a great mat technician and just from the
(21:34):
start you see like the fast, solid and that surfboard
like really got the people in Faby's always been known
to be snug and even a little stiff, and Natty
adapts to that style pretty well. There was a lot
of you know, pinfallen reverses, you know for the go
home Natalia and well, I that's pretty much what I
(21:57):
wrote about this match. It was nothing out of the extraordinary.
It's you know, it's a match number two that goes
in between two things. I'm I don't know if there's
anything specific you notice about this match or.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
I mean, listen, Natty outside WWE main roster is so
much more interesting than she is in main roster. She's
marginally less more interesting in NXT than she is on
the main roster. But like on Evolve, when she did
blood Sport, when she went to NWA, like whenever, you
know what, the fairly substantial amount of matches she's done
(22:34):
outside of WWE, like she's like she's almost doing like
the the almost like Shana Babeneser, like like the Prize
Fighter kind of thing. I think. I think what Moxley
at some point envisioned for the BCC or the death
writer thing. To me, I could be wrong about that
because who knows what's in that man's mind, but that
(22:55):
you're right, it was a little bit goldberg ass her entourage.
They were a little bit group close together, the group
that Mustafa Ali has in TNA. The way they do it,
It's a much more organized escort going on there. They
looked like security, but it was I mean, you could
tell that she had never fist bumped any of these
guys before. But I thought Natty was great in this match.
(23:16):
I'm not so sure about Fabi Apache. I mean, her chops,
which was eighty percent of her offense, pretty crappy. They
looked more like she's waving hello or something. But Natty
looked great, and Natty scored the win, and that's what
should happen, I suppose. I mean, I'm sure the Triple
A crowd would would be into Fabi Apache, who apparently
(23:40):
is extremely credential there. But this was a Triple A
crowd in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, So who knows
what they were there to see and listen, Natty's an
upgrade over almost anybody in almost any promotion, especially for
you know, you know, a one off title match, and
if she wins the Triple A's title and holds her
(24:01):
for a while, fine, why not. It just just adds
to her resume of credentials. And yeah, she could do
snug She's you know it was Jbel said, this version
of Natty is Stu Hearts Grant or maybe Conan's ad it,
but the Stu Heart's granddaughter. This is Stuard and that,
and you know that that's how she felt serious. I'm
(24:21):
going to kill you, And for most of the match
that's mostly what she did, and Fabby sort of survived
and had flurries of offense, but none of it seemed
particularly effective, and Natty won, So I was sort of like,
Natty's gonna kill you.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Yeah, she's. She's She reminds me a lot of Natty
pre WWE, what she was doing on the n d's
and what she's doing outside of w W, which is
to me a lot more interesting than Cowboy Natty or
whatever whatever's going on in WWE.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
And Bombshell in like, can I show more boobs than
Tiffany Stratt without anything falling out out? Naddie. It's just
like this, this version of her is so much better
and so much more interesting. You know, I don't know
if she wasn't permitted to do it, if nobody came
up with it or whatever, but we're seeing it.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Now and we like it. So the other match we're
going into attack te action play up and well it's
the new day of KOFE and and Wallercuz. Yeah, apparently
did I hear this right? I wasn't sure that I
(25:31):
forgot it brought like Xavier Wood had next surgery? Was
is it what they mentioned.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
He had head surgery. He has like a like not
a melanoma. Well, it was something he showed it, he
put it, he posted it. He had something removed like
a growth from his head. I'm assuming it was some
sort of large subjectaneous cyst. I'm assuming it's benign or
they're doing a biopsy, but they probably wouldn't know him
blended by now. But yeah, he's like, obviously it was.
(25:57):
It was in PAYD, you know, outpatient in an Now.
He said that he risked, you know, a stroke and
blood clots by by taking a plane there. Actually, Xavier
was pretty good in this. I'm not digging this Grayson
Waller thing. And somehow like I think Grayson Waller was
like six foot four and two. He looked he looks diminutive,
like next to Kofe, who's not a big guy. I
(26:18):
love the New Day's New music. I haven't watched RAW
in months. I sort of like how they've got like
the super villain silhouettes of themselves with their arms cross
locking all series, with like their eyes lit up and yellow,
you know, and yellow like they're like Homeland or a
Superman about to shoot rays out of there, or probably
a dark Seed or Dark Side from from the comic books.
(26:40):
But this, this was terrific. And then they were facing
like two guys that I legitimately enjoy watching from Triple A.
I really enjoy the team of Psycho Clown and Pagano.
I don't really know very much about the other three
clowns in their cadre, but I saw both these guys
work for MLW for about a year or two, around
(27:01):
the same time that Ari's was there and Aramis who
people now know is Hologram were there and sort of
like Raven was sort of coming in. Anyway, they they
they were interesting, then they're interesting now it's like they're
sort of road Wars. But my favorite part though apparently
like there's been an ongoing thing going back to Braywise
(27:21):
a fiend that Xavier Woods is afraid of clowns, especially
evil clowns, even though he's evil and he hasn't gotten
over that, even though he's a heel now. And at
some point he pulled off he was trying to pull
off psycho clowns mask. It's his face, oh yeah, and
underneath it was like another mask or other like makeup.
So like he basically pulled off it was like the
(27:42):
Red Skull. It was like it was like a Gruesome Society.
Speaker 1 (27:46):
The skin out of his face.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Like runs away, like he's like he's the Orange monster
in Bugs Bunny. And this of course allows Grace and
Waller to eat the pins so new the you know,
fourteen time tag team champions don't lose anything because it's
Grayson Waller. You can you can blame him or whatnot.
(28:10):
There's nothing to protect in Grayson Waller. I see him,
and I feel I just see a slightly more polished
version of your friend bj Ray and and someone who
will never be Logan Paul made completely irrelevant. Sorry, Logan,
Paul took Grayson Waller's spot.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Well this match, like for me, it was a little
bit too long, and I honestly I kind of zoned out.
It was like there was some cool stuff, like the
gts like punched into like a magistial cradle, and like
the obviously the Xavier would face pulling spot was great,
but otherwise it was like, I don't know, it's yeah,
(28:55):
I kind of zone out of this one. And I
like that they mentioned that maybe, you know, the clowns
versus the Wyat's Six, that they would probably be hells
in Triple A, that that could be interesting, maybe they
could maybe it could be like a better place speaking
of Triple A for the y At Six, since you know,
characters are really over in Mexico and you know, or
(29:17):
in Triple A, I should say that could be like
they could that's that's a place where they could have
that rror show kind of match with furniture and all
kinds of bullshit and it would be really over, which
is not really working on SmackDown or even if we
think about the last pay per view where they had
(29:38):
like I think they were where they matched to on
the card against the Street Profits, and I felt like
people were kind of zoning out as well, So maybe
that would be a great option for the wy A'TS
six to actually go to Triple A and try something there.
I mean, there was a this is awesome chance, you
(30:00):
know it could be me, but yeah, when it gets
a little bit too long for me and it's I
don't know. I'm not a fan of Grayson Waller either,
so maybe that's why I like Xavier Woods and his
gigantic ASTs, and I like Kofi as a wrestler, like
he's he always comes up with something innovative and something new,
(30:22):
and but yeah, Waller's like with his shorts, I don't know,
he's a boxer. He's such a jitsu guy. I don't
know what they with with like small anyway, I'm yeah,
I've been out for a while. When it goes to Grace,
they're trying real hard to do something with him in
the New Day, and I.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Was like, yeah, and and Xavier, I mean it's the
only guy that wasn't in the match I'm gonna talk
most about. But yes, he's doing this thing where it's
sort of like a combination of like when Jay Lethal
was doing Black Machiesemo and Brutus, and he's doing like
a brutus to beef cake, like the Fantastics, the fabulous ones,
like like like a chimp and Dale cowboy kind of thing.
But he's doing and but he's still him. I don't
(31:05):
I don't know. It's it's it's really work. It worked,
and he looks great, he's got it. I don't know
that he's ever looked to be in better shape. I'm
not sure the Kofees look to be in better shape
in a while. I don't really I didn't mind the match,
and maybe I forgot because it's not just you that
the WIAT six doesn't work for, but I'm one of
the people that does work for. I don't know if
(31:28):
it's just because I just dug what Bray Wyatt was
trying to do, and when it worked, it was so good,
and so when it didn't work, I didn't. I gave
him a pass because I knew what he was trying
to do, and I knew and I know that you know,
Vince being there, there's there's a pull on TOG. But
I also know that Bray was a genius, and sometimes
geniuses go too far. So but I like it. I
(31:51):
still feel the chills when they come out. I still
feel like the crowd wants to love them.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Yeah, I don't hate them. It's just that I don't
think been in a position to succeed, if that makes
any sense. That's why I'm thinking maybe like a change,
a change of scenery and go to Triple A with help.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
They didn't have any mission, no faction with their mission
makes any sense, and they were supposed to come out
as heels, but people wouldn't boo them, so they turned
them into faces, and then they were faces with no
particular purpose. So then they decided, after like eight months
on the shelf, that they'd have them go after tag teams.
(32:32):
That was what they wanted, so they gave them the
tag team. Causey now, listen, I fully accept that that
Sam Shaw Dexter Loomis in w w E and Joe
Gacy are probably the two best wrestlers of the group,
But like.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
I still want to see Eric Rowan kick ass, you know,
I I'd like to see I'd like to see Nikki
Russell in that dress and scare people and it's it's
it's like they're just there. And even like bo Dallas,
I mean she doesn't do Yeah, he doesn't do much
besides just showing up like, I don't know if he's
(33:07):
still injured. I don't know if that's the deal, but yeah,
it's I I wish we would see all of them, Russell.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
He stuff with Niki and Candice Larray, Nikki with b
fab Nikki with I mean, I think there was.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
But but it never goes anywhere.
Speaker 2 (33:23):
Though, never goes anywhere. So yes, that's I tell you.
I'd like to see Eric Rowan in there, and so
if Bo Dallas can Russell, I would like to see
it that it's Bo Dallas and Eric Rowan going after
the Triple A tag team so that they have like
four four belts in that. But I'm going to make
a complete hic hypocrite of myself a little bit later
(33:45):
on on that statement, but I don't care. I love
the wyots I and I'm going to love them until
they until they just run out of things to allow
me to love about them. But I love the scene.
I love I love the crossover. I didn't see it
coming from a million miles away. I don't think anybody
did in TV Land. Nobody did in the audience, and
the audience was psyched to have it, and that's really
(34:07):
all that matters. And yeah, maybe, and I agree. In
Mexico they love characters like this, but this was Las Vegas,
you know, and and you know, I don't know how
how much the news is actually true and what's what.
But apparently we're not gonna hold lot of tourists in
the United States these days, especially not from south of
the border, and lost as having the worst tourism like
(34:28):
of all time. So I'm guessing that most of the
audience was a North American, probably American United States of
American crowd.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
And I can tell you that the North is not
traveling south. I can I can confirm.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
That winter is winter is not coming with the walls holding. Okay,
So yeah, so I I love this, You liked it.
You think there's potential for the Wyats and Triple A.
So at least on that we we have optimism. I'm
just afraid it's gonna be Gacy and Luma again, which
no offense to them. I would just like to see
(35:03):
the other people in the white suit. And if Bo
can't wrestle, put Alistair Black in there, what the hell's
he doing to bring crossback in and put him there? What?
Or or turn Damien priests heal and put him back there. No,
they're not doing anything, so so let him or if
you want to go demonic with with something with you know,
I'm sure there's someone he of them on it, right,
(35:26):
It's not like there's an It's not like dragon Le
needs to be a face or Phoenix needs to be
a face. He was Dark Phoenix and Lucha Underground for
a year.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Oh Dragonly so over as a babyface in Triva A.
But I mean you're you're talking about demons now. So
the it's a nice segue to the next match, which
is for the Mixed Tag Team Championship, and it's the
very very very popular mister Iguana in La Yeska and
(35:58):
Lola Ice with a lot of booty, a lot of
booty versus and Finn ballor with something in his bag
something in his bag or was it in his or
was it in the bag?
Speaker 2 (36:14):
So let me just get on my hypocrisy right at
the front. One of the things I've always criticized aw
about is like everybody's got a title, and like you
have all these people come into the room with like
a bunch of titles, have nothing to do with it,
don't matter. Everybody in this practically out of title and
they had different titles and it and it and so yes,
I just said I'd like the white scale all the belts,
but that's not because, I mean, the difference is they'd
(36:37):
be going for another tag team championship and so they
would actually have them as opposed to one half of
the tag team champions being you know, in this match,
and then you have another person with another title on
the other side of it. What, Actually, I'm in the
wrong match, harn't ike. Yeah, I'm thinking of like when
Jacob actually.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Wrong.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
There's one half from this one and there's another half
in the following match, right, it's not wrong.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
But it's the other match that bothered me more than
this one. This one, this one, I give it a
pass because of the whole Iguana and and Finn Ballard
Gesca and Demonito thing. This this this was actually fine.
And then I you know, and yeah, take it, just
take it.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
I mean to me, it was a fun match, Like
I've laughed really like loud alone in my in my
living room with my cats. I mean we first thing
we see is Jacy Jane, you know, with her NXTY
title sitting in the crowd, because I think, is she
gonna meet She's gonna meet Lola Ice in the upcoming weeks,
(37:47):
so they kind of like they get that going to
see kind of promote the upcoming shows, which makes sense.
And I mean the the commentators in there, like jbl
and his jokes War of All jokes. I mean it's
more like comments. It was it was not meant to
be joked because he's like the perfect like he'll commentator.
(38:10):
But you know he goes like le Yeska bringing someoneel
and rabies here, and if Lilid had a badstard son,
it would be mister Iguana. He's trying to lizard jitsu
like it. It doesn't stop the whole match, That's what
it is. And I was really entertaining. They mentioned that
(38:31):
it's the first time that Finn and Rosy are actually teeming.
I really love that Iguana and Lola had matching colors,
like wearing all green that looked great. And actually there's
one here's one thing that like that changed with the
coming up WWE interpol a it's women versus women and
men versus men, while before in Mixtag that they could
(38:55):
like mixed up like you could you could wrestle the
man and vice versa. So that's something new, although they
show that you know, Lola is not afraid and she
wants to fight but actually can't. And Loda is so
much She's so much better than when I saw her.
Like the first time I saw her in n XT,
(39:16):
I was like, Oh, she had that horrible promo where
she was crying. I was like, what the fuck, like,
you know, presenting her as a badass but then crying
and she was doing those those matches with no rope brown, Yeah,
the promo like anyway, but as a wrestler, like she's
(39:40):
she's leaps and bound to where she used to be.
And I don't know if the Mexico thing helped, but
she is so over she's so over there and people
like love her, and I feel she she found some
sort of new confidence and she's she's integrating her her
you know, fighting moves so much better ask part of
(40:01):
her her offense like it doesn't look Before I felt
it was kind of forced and it didn't fit. It
didn't work with the wrestling part of it. Now it does.
And actually, you know if in her hot tag, like
the way she she incorporates those mmy or kicks and everything,
it was so great like, and we see of course
(40:26):
Dimonito he's he's getting out of the ring skirts and
Spinn goes, what are you doing? You're going to get hurt,
and then he hides him.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
It's too early, too early, Collins. Lola. If anyone else's
benefited from this other than the LWO and then it's
definitely Lola Ice. And I'm not saying that she's over everywhere.
I mean, for for obvious reasons. She's great looking, she's
she's got her action, she's a fantastic keel people want
to cheer for, even as a baby vase, even though
(40:58):
horror probe her face stink. Her heel promos are just fine.
But in the ring, like you said, she's gotten so
much better. And also she always had the explosiveness in moves,
but not putting them all together, and now she's putting
them all together. She seems to be able to wrestle
a lot of styles, but she seems really at home
and really comfortable in triple A. You know, I don't
(41:19):
know if it's in her head or whatever, but it's
it's perfect. But so I felt a little bit bad
that JBL was sort of bulldozing over everybody during commentary,
like no one else could get a chance. But he
was so good and so he was funny. So I
really have mixed it. But it was funny because he goes,
what the hell was that? And they're like, what are
(41:39):
you talking? I go what was? Are we just going
to ignore that there was like a puppet that there
was came out to the ring on their own? What
is are we just not going to talk about it?
And like, I don't die. I think it was Corey
Grays goes, goes, we're moving on, JBL, We're moving on.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
We're moving on, and oh my god, like speaking of puppets,
I mean the part where like Domito is on Finn's
back and then mister Iguana goes for your your a
top rori guarana and of course Finn he squashes for
Domito onderneath and they end up outside and there's a
(42:20):
Tope suicida on like Yesca on Demito, like yesca like
just got thrown perfectly. Yeah, he lest perfectly on like
I was. He was crying, mister.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
I Guana is a better I as what's the name
yesca like throwing as a weapon than then he actually
is a wrestler of himself. But that's not like that
sounds insulting. It sounds because he threw an exact dot
that was like dead bullseye. That was it was, I mean,
that was that was better than Finn's wades.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
Oh and yeah, and Iguana goes for the planchet to
the outside so that that gets like the men out
and the gums actually like you know, feet on the rope.
And Raquel I forgot to mention Brackhel was right there,
and I love that she was showing strength like since God,
let's give a nast since he mentions like that she
(43:27):
needed to work like as a big you know, big
woman and kill everything, and you know she she was there,
and it's it's it's funny because I thought of a
quote that I think it was from mister McMahon when
he back in when he was a commentary and she
was outside and she literally turned the match around, like
(43:48):
that's how they started the The thing that came to
my mind was like that could turn the match right there,
like that's the quote that was in my head when
that happened. And so so yeah, so I mean the
ladies in this match shine in a hell of a
backfist for the one two three, and you know we're
(44:09):
we're gonna see a Lila in at No More n
Extino Mercy in two weeks, so going for the championship.
So I love this match. It was like fun, like
of course it's ridiculous, I mean puppets, but the puppets
were doing a great job and they were involved in
this in in you know, funny spots, and like I said,
(44:31):
it was a perfect opit it was sena form like yes,
cup hear make target of Demonito. Oh my god, how
much money do you think they're making on those dolls.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
For the puppets. I mean they're selling Demonita for like
sixty bucks.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
I mean, isn't he one hundred and Layeska sixty? That's
what I saw last night year Yeah, yeah, was like
really expected, like he's one hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
When I get this app up and running and people
actually pay for it and I actually have some income
as opposed to outgo my my first frivolous expenses are
going to be I need a Charlie doll I need
and I and I need a yesca to go to.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Send a gift.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
I have Lily O g I don't have new I
don't have New Lily, so my whole collection, so yeah,
those are those are things that or maybe I'll buy
my wife a car, which probably makes a whole lot
more sense. But then then then buying wrestling puppets. But
we both know I'm gonna get the rest of happy Wife.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
I'd be live. That's what they say, right.
Speaker 4 (45:40):
Yeah, but I'm like on my sixteenth wife, so you know,
I'm kidding. It's not sixteen. I mean puppets, puppets, all right,
let's let's let's move up. But I agree, I thought,
does this match was fun? Yes, the puppet thing is silly,
but it's fun. And like you said, you told me
early on, ye, it's losing.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
Doesn't matter. It's not that silly. It doesn't matter. Put
you know, forget about psychology or anything. Just enjoy it
for what it is.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
It's actually a show. It's not trying to be.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
Yeah, I laughed.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
And they make it up with having like thirty two
generations of wrestlers have the same name, so you know,
so you can have the tradition in the seriousness.
Speaker 1 (46:26):
And he ho that he ho that he ho then
he and speaking of the hero then he ho that
doctor Wagner. Doctor Wagner, by the way, what a nice
looking man. Oh my god, at his age, he looks fantastic. Anyway,
it's interest in the world, Oh definitely. And I mean
his son, Doctor Widner Junior was defending the Latin American
(46:48):
Championship against like three more three wrestlers of you know,
great talent that there's and one of them really shined.
And I'll to it there was dragonly JD McDonough and
Canada's own the North American Champion with the Canadian belt,
(47:10):
mister Eaton Page. All ego and I mean, what what
a match. I usually hate four ways because it's it's
all over the place. There's always somebody down, you know,
waiting for the spot, and it takes forever and they're
selling forever. But in this match, it was go go, go,
(47:32):
go go, and nobody nobody was down for too long
where it was like ridiculous that didn't happen. They also
mentioned that Eaton Page was fighting Tyler Brees at NXT
on coming so he could leave with two belts tonight
if he was winning this one.
Speaker 2 (47:48):
So could Tyler win both of those belts?
Speaker 1 (47:52):
Well, that was only if eaton Page was winning this one,
which well, eh, spoiler did not did not. JD comes
out his head is bigger than you know ever and
I actually wrote down like his finished should be the head,
but you know it almost was his finish. He used
(48:14):
it in the match, and I pop like this, we'll
get there. I'm I'm like going way too fast right now.
And Wagner, they mentioned that boat his parents were legends,
so he has legend blood.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
His father Robert Wagner from Heart to heart and the
Austin powers.
Speaker 1 (48:32):
If you'd say so, but no, he's sitting in a craft.
The match like started really hard with JD and Dragon
Lye like exchanging like hard slaps, and I mean JD
he's so technically sound, like he makes everyone look like
a million bucks. Like I the more I see him wrestle,
(48:55):
and especially in this match, and not only I, but
I feel the people in attendance kind of fell in
love with JD McDonough in this particular match. He's so
good and he's he's good at everything he does and
in the lucha environment he's even better because his size
(49:16):
doesn't matter and he's a lot more like Fletic and
he does a lot more eye flying than what we
usually see on WW. And there it was all out
in this match, like he did things I didn't even
know he was capable of doing. I eating Page. I
love that. Conan, you know, went back in time and
(49:40):
talked about the history he had with Lax and the
Nord in TNA and actually insulted all the Canadians, saying
we were quirky. But I was like, you know, it
means odd and unpredictable. It was like, yeah, that's that's true.
That's I'll take it. I mean.
Speaker 2 (49:58):
He was sitting like a baby, what are you talking about? Cup?
Speaker 1 (50:07):
I love that they did. You know, it's it's so cliche,
but it works every time the famous like one guy's
in the corner, one gets dropped to a hole, like
head goes in the nuts. And it was really funny
that it was actually big at JD McDonald's and that
ended up in Eden's page nuts in the corner. I
was like, Oh, that must have been so painful.
Speaker 2 (50:30):
It was an accident at all.
Speaker 1 (50:32):
No, they probably planted it this way because it was
way more devastating with J Donna's hair being involved. And
again oh yeah, and again like there's I feel there's
not enough love for JD McDonough and I mean not
too long after the spot, like you could start hearing
the JD Chance like he was like there was so
(50:56):
much love for him and the crown. And besides that,
one thing that bothered me, I was like people started
to Chance, we want tables. I'm like, these guys are
giving you NonStop action. They only need a fucking furniture,
Like it's not necessary, Like what the fuck are you doing?
Stopped them with the fucking table bullshit. I mean a
good table once in a while, man, it's great, but
(51:18):
not every you know, scramble match need a fucking table.
These guys proved it in this match. I love that
eaton Page was like he tied Dragon's leaves mass to
the rope. I was like, that's clever. I was like,
why not, it's it's there. And back to JD's big head.
When we're talking about the head butt, there was a
(51:39):
fantastic quadrupole down if we can talk, it was, you know,
call it this way that ended with a big butt
from JD on Ethan Page. You fell on top of
him for like almost the three counts and then the lights. Yeah,
the lights were on, and then we're off the lights
(52:00):
on match and then a lot of South match. I
don't know what the Yeah, I don't know what was
going on.
Speaker 2 (52:06):
With were aleast. Do you know what building they were in?
Speaker 1 (52:09):
Oh? They mentioned it, but no, I didn't catch it either.
But I just thought it was funny that JBL and
Conan kept making jokes about the lights. I was like,
at least, at least they're acknowledging it and they're going
with it. Like in the Mecman times they would have
like no, oh you know, don't say anything or whatever.
(52:29):
At least like it was just fun. They went along
with it and having fun.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
Everyone's like it's like the lights went on the fritz.
It happens. It's called electricity. Big deal. It's like, like,
you're right. Mcmah would have been like yelling for people
to be fired, head teamster, head engineer, like it could
have been like the e MP from Oceans eleven. He
won't have cared. But they're just going with things and
(52:57):
they're having fun and they're incorporating the things into the show.
We can't do it some big deal.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
Yeah, the commentating at WW got so much better since
McMahon is not streaming in their ear pieces. I was like,
it's it's it's enjoyable now. Like as much as I
hate in Michael Cole, right now it is like he's great.
He's great, Like he doesn't have a man man screaming
at him. So you know, maybe it's well, maybe we
(53:24):
know that's because I'll.
Speaker 2 (53:26):
Never be able to afford to go to a WWE
show again, so now I need to I need to
enjoy the commentary so exactly.
Speaker 1 (53:34):
So that was an amazing double foot stump, like what
I like to call the Warriors. Way from low Kei
in a corner from Dragon Lee and Wagner took a
yur kanana to the outside on the man. I was like, oh,
and that's where like JD hit a Spanish fly and
from that moment on, like people wanted him to win,
(53:57):
Like you know, we were talking about the two tack
team champions like being in different matches, but Jad McDonough
and Triple A he could be an absolute star, like
he he got the people on this side, even if
he's a heel, they didn't care. They fell in love
(54:18):
with him. The falses were great and it ended up
with Doctor Wagner Junior hitting his Wagner driver. Overall a
great four way, you know, NonStop action. I loved it,
and I, like I said, I usually don't like four
ways that much, but this one, Yeah, great, everybody shine.
I think everybody looked great in this match.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Telling you fatal four ways are HBKA specialty. And I
knew when I saw him there with Undertaker, Sporting Stings, Graybeard.
This this had Sean all over it. Obviously he trusts
Ethan Page as he should. By the way, I've really
enjoyed Finn and Triple A as well. I've never really
(54:59):
been much of a Finn Balor fan. I've never really
been a Detractor either. He's you know, Amasis, so he's
a little bit small for me. I've always thought he
was good and the fast and precise, but he's never
like when he was in Heel and NXT the second
time around, like it was really good, but he kept
breaking his jahn. So I'm just like, yeah, but you know,
I've been enjoying and I haven't watched Row in a while,
(55:20):
but I was enjoying him like being like the Dom's
friend but not friend, you know kind of thing, and
like shaking, ends up with with the women, but really enjoys.
That is to say, I I felt the same way
about j D McDonough Even the next day. I'm like, yeah,
I don't know about this guy's look or whatever, but
he's always in the right place and his timing is impeccable,
(55:41):
and like I sort of felt the same way, Like
like probably like year two or three in aw when
they hired ever Rise two point zero, you know, Leominard
and Parker, and they put him with Daniel Garcia most
of time, and they were in like every main event.
It's like, why you keep putting these guys in the
main event? You have like a roster of like back
then you one hundred seventy now it's like two hundred
and seventy. But us, they were always in the right place.
(56:05):
They never made a mistake, no one ever got hurt.
They you know they And but JD on top of that,
he can also be spectacular like his his and I think,
and I don't want to give short trift to anyone here.
I dragonly was terrific on the outside. Everything he did
was great. Ethan Page is magnificent. He's perfect in this
(56:26):
chicken shit cocky heel. Every part of it is exactly right.
Octagon je, I'm sorry, not octagon el el del Doctor
Wagner the twenty seventh. He didn't particularly stand out to me.
He was the weak link, but he didn't you know,
he didn't cause any harm either. And this is not
(56:47):
the first I've seen him a bunch of times, so
it's not like it's I saw him and all that.
Maybe it's not his style of match, I don't know,
but but doesn't matter. This match was a ton of
fun and and I enjoyed the outcome. And of course
Doctor Wagner was gonna keep the title. I mean you
know that that that you can't win everything from the
from the new promotion.
Speaker 1 (57:06):
No, that that would be kind of shitty too, I
would say. Speaking of championship, it was now time for
the main event, the Mega Championship and featuring Viking Goo
and everybody's favorite Dominic Mystereo. Can you believe that? Yeah,
(57:27):
it's real. They had a big fill fights with the
w I call it the heartbeat kind of music they
go and then you see him coming. Vikingo's gear was magnificent.
Conan said it was. It commemorates the Mexican independent days
with the colors and everything. And you know, Conan mentioned
(57:49):
that the Dominic was his godson, and I mean right
from the start, right from the start, like Dominic as
soon as he came out, so over it's like the
Messiah like landed. And I'm not talking about this Missigna,
not this one, like the savior of Mexican lucha libre,
(58:14):
the king of all luchadors, Dominic Mysterio showed up and
right away, you know, dirty, dirty dumb could be here
hurt like everywhere.
Speaker 2 (58:27):
Father never won.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
Yes, and one thing that's you know, really important that
Conan explained absolutely like, well, was that back in the days,
like the reason why Remisterio Junior could not have this
titles there were weight classes in triple a, so he
couldn't fight for the mega championship. It's not that he
(58:51):
didn't have the talent or the aura or whatever. Now
everybody can fight for a dependent i mean the Kingo's champions.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
While that was interesting, I'm gonna tell you why it
wasn't important for him to say it and why it
might have been a mistake from saying all that really
matters that much. But okay, so my theory here is
they basically, you know, the Kengo has taken all of
this heat for the ad R thing. They replaced a
d R with dom as the other cool heel, and
(59:21):
they already have the built in top of the marquee
story Ray Dominic versus his father. His father never had
the title. Yeah, they're on they're on different brands sometimes,
but it doesn't matter in Triple A and they've already
whenever Ray is ready to recover that that can be
a wrestle Mania match if they want to be well,
(59:42):
it could certainly be Triple Mania match. Whatever they want.
They have this magnificent story and people are still saying
ww is gonna bring ADR back. No, they just replaced
them with with with the younger, more, more hater vers
I don't think that anybody remembers ADR anymore.
Speaker 1 (59:58):
I mean you look at you look at Dominic mysterio
and it's a lot to say that, but to me,
he's like the new Eddie Guerrero, like no shit, like
he's he's so over. And I mean this whole match
to me was was was dumb. Like they started slow
(01:00:18):
with with you know, the chain wrestling, I VI I
Kingo did a submission on his back that I I
don't know the name, but it was really impressive. And
to me, I've seen Biking Go quite a few times
in GCW, we did some shows together. To me, that
was his best performance ever because everything made sense in
this match. It was not like flip flip flip flip,
(01:00:42):
kickout from a thousand fucking things that made no sense
and him being small kicking out of fucking like things
that would kill like a bigger person like that. The
match made sense. The pace was you know, it was slower.
I like that. They mentioned that the Dominic's mysterious gear
(01:01:05):
was inspired by the good the good rat mysterio the
uncle not the dead be dead that I think JBS
did be dead about.
Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Overcoming a lifetime of abuse and neglect.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
Yes, for Dominic, what a terrible life.
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Practically raised himself, he did, my god, overcome all the odds.
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Poor little guy for what a hard life.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
You couldn't even get a mustache until his father was
out of the way.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
No, no, no, it refused to grow until was that
the way? Yeah? Yep, so it was pretty much. The
most of the match was Dominic working heat with Viking
Go like never backing down, like having lots of hope spots,
but Dominic was always able to you know, cut off
(01:01:58):
whatever he was doing. If I can go also for
this this time, like like I mentioned before, like he's small,
but finally we could show that he's strong as well.
We always see him just do the flips, but he
can actually pick up like a bigger opponents and do
like impressive stuff. Like I really liked that we saw
something different from him. Of course, when when Dominic hits
(01:02:22):
you know, the three on me, he goes the big
Eddie chant that that was a cool like win wing
to Eddie Guerrero, the falls, he's like Viking Goo goes
for a four fifty. Dominic kicks out, and then Judgment
Day comes in. Dominic hits like the Mitchinioku driver and
you know, and there's the mask with the plate with
(01:02:44):
and the super kick from Viking Go Boat kickouts. Dragonly
shows up with the dead beat dead ray Mystereo Junior
with a chair, and again, what a dead beat, terrible father, right.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
It's taking away his son's opportunity, right.
Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
Oh, taking the heat from his son. What a terrible person.
So I Viking Go goes for the six thirty and
the refs get pulls out by who the other great
Luca legend that is now on their favorite of the
you know, the Triple A crowd and Grande I'm a Ricano. Okay,
(01:03:27):
let's be serious. How good is the big Kaiser in
in this rome? Like he he how shine? I mean,
I love Gable, I love him, He's fucking awesome. But
I believe like Kaiser took this this character to another level.
(01:03:49):
Like people are like, is he like and he speaks Spanish?
Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
What the fuck? Gable was great? I think he'll be
greater at But the fact that he needed the surgery,
I think and and and Kaiser and they and they
see this this was planned because they used to plant
seeds of seeing Kaiser in the background and like, so
they had this thing planned all along and somehow, like
I'm sure they could have cut it if it never worked,
(01:04:14):
but it's been working and it is taking it to
the next level because it is the next level. I mean,
you have instead of an American plane Elutador, you have
a German plane, an American plane, a lutator. And the
guy who was five t nine and now you have
a guy who's six foot four he's blonde with blue eyes.
The other one there's you know, the brown hair, you know,
brown eyes. I guess I don't know, but like their
(01:04:37):
bills are different. I mean, the whole thing is fantastic.
He dresses different, but you're right, everything about this was fantastic.
The judgment Day's time in fantastic. Of course, no surprise
based on what we just said about Finn and especially JD.
Dragon Lee. You know, you never know that Ray if
Ray is still limping or whatever or has an injury. Bausely,
it was completely covered. It didn't matter. He knew what
(01:04:59):
he knew, how much sure, how little to do. I
saw them pass off the chair when it was comedian
to pass off the chair so that Ray wouldn't have
to throw any punches or kicks. He had a chair,
that's all they needed. That was that was super smart.
And I don't know if it was planned or not, probably,
but still he remembered, Dragonly remembered in the minute, in
the moment and the whole thing with if I can
(01:05:21):
go trying to pull off El Grande Americana's mass, and
he's like he can see he's pulling for something. He's
he's trying to do something. He's not trying to fight
him all. And whatever he gets out of his like
his pocket, his inside blazer pocket or sports coat pocket,
he tosses it into the ring with his free hand
while the RAF is like, you know, tied up and
(01:05:42):
trying to you know, he did.
Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
That so quick that I didn't see like this switch.
So I'm I'm almost thinking he was pretending to get
something out of his pocket while he has something else
in his other end. That's that's what I'm thinking, is
I haven't seen this switch of hands like there was there.
Speaker 2 (01:05:59):
Was there was, There was never any getting into the pocket.
And absolutely and so we didn't just have one plate
putting put into a mask. We had a second plate
put into the mask or whatever it was. And of
course nobody sees is except for the crowd and us
and and don those and they cheering like he does
like a bullet Headbut and then then he does the
(01:06:20):
splash and he's.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Yeah, the ending was super like exciting. You know, dumb
goes for the six one nine frog slash. There's no ref,
he's still out, and when there's a ref coming, he
kicks out and people who were like cheer you suck
ref or something like that because they really want, you know,
Dominic to win, and Viking go goes for a back
(01:06:43):
kick or poisoned Ruana, and that's where the Amercando thing happens,
with him and trying to get something in his pocket
but obviously has something else in this end, you know,
you know, loaded mask frogs flash one two three. We
have our new champ and I thought it was cool that,
you know, the celebration with Judgment Day and Grande Almi
(01:07:05):
Ricano and well, now Ray has to put the dead
beat dad has to put the championship around the waiste
of the sun. And at first he was just like
giving it to him, and they have to bleep the
freaking thin because Dominic goes like, I'm the fucking chimp.
Put it on me like.
Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
He was great, and he's just.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
Keeping the dust like when Ray was done. And the
evolution of Dirty Dumb is wonderful form from you know,
getting a contract to Dumb's custody, to Dumb teaming up
with his dad in terrible gear and and you know,
(01:07:49):
not doing much to Dominic with a mullet and you know,
a mustache and cow boots and all that. You know
ship it's yeah, oh yeah, getting all the girls. He's
he's dirty, dirty dumb. Yeah, that was was a great
main event. I had fun, Like I would say that.
(01:08:12):
Three last matches for me like got me like it's
it felt like the card was going, you know, better,
better better. And obviously with with Dumb winning the Mega Championship,
he's now a double champion, being the incontinental champion as well.
So yeah, I can't wait to see what they're gonna
(01:08:33):
do next. And is Penta now going to try to
challenge you know, Dominic for it? That's because that's what
he said at the beginning, the dirty Dumb Mega, Dirty.
Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Dumb, double dirty dumb. Now it's a.
Speaker 1 (01:08:46):
Double double dirty dumb.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
All right. I have to I have to come clean
to to the people out there who know me. You know. Yeah,
I think this is probably the best match I've ever
seen that can go in. But I don't like that too,
And I don't know him personally, So when I say
I don't like doesn't mean I don't like the guy.
I don't know the guy now.
Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
The wrestling style, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:09:03):
He's small. I think he's absurdly small. He has no build.
I mean Marcus Mathers is a small builis as a build.
I know you said that, Yeah, I know that you
said that he looked spectacular. I think it looked like
his mother is just a really good seamstress and made
him a really nice Halloween costume for her kid. I
I just I just find him to look absurd, and
(01:09:24):
the whole thing, and the whole the whole thing that
like Conan was banking on him, like look at him
like Bubba Rat looks at Xena Sterling, and then Tony
Khan was doing the same thing, and the aw fans
were pretending the same thing, and now Triple H is
doing the same thing, and like you have, like so
many people there already. I'm not saying they've given up
on him by any means. I mean, I'm sure that
they're still in investment. This is probably not what they
(01:09:47):
thought was going to happen, but it happened, and they've pivoted,
and they've pivoted well, which is something this company has
not always been able to do. So, you know, even
though the the you know, John cena Heel turned which
you know, whether you liked it or not, it really
wasn't Gangbusters and they pivoted. I was like, ooh, it
was all a waste. Yeah, it was a waste, But
did you want five more months of shit? You know?
(01:10:09):
Did you want to waste this guy's last retirement year
and and not and not have it be fun and
just complain. So anyway, so they're able to pivot, So
that that's that's good, that's that. It was so with that,
everyone who knows me honestly, now now you've heard my
truth and the truth. But yes, this was the best
match that VI King has been in. And because Dominic
is also a more diminutive guy, it wasn't as absurd.
(01:10:32):
And I was starting to get a little bit bored
until all of the shenanigans happened, and then I was
really into it and I and it was. It was
booked and executed perfectly at the end, and I mean
my match and I would have been is the four way.
I would say. The only match I didn't really care
for was the opening match. But that's like the house
(01:10:54):
show match, you know, it's that wasn't for me. The
puppets thing is a little bit much for me to pick.
But I laughed, I liked it, and I enjoyed it.
What can I say, It's like you said this, so
tell me, don't worry. It's Luca doesn't need to make sense.
It's silly and so you know, I you know, I
put myself in that universe and then enjoyed it. But
(01:11:14):
good show. It was a good fun show. I wish
it started an hour early because I too am old
and gets start to get sleepy. Midnight is a bit
of a thing for me. One is certainly a bigger
stretch for me. But I had I thought it was
a good three hours.
Speaker 1 (01:11:29):
Yeah, it was really enjoyable. Like I said, the three
the last three matches for me like were freaking like.
They were all great in different ways. Like I like
the main event because it was working a slower pace
with an eye flying guy. But it all made sense finally,
(01:11:50):
because I myself do not like flip flip flip flip
flips that mean nothing and there's no emotion in between
or nothing. But I think everything was placed well and
this in the execution of this one, the four Way
was like NonStop action. It showed like four guys, you know,
everything that they could do. It showed their characters and
(01:12:12):
made a to me, it made a star out of
JD for Interval a page. You know great, He's always
a great leader and his character is great. His ship
was with Chelsea Green is like priceless. And the Mixed
Stag it was just fun. You need a match like this,
you know, you need to kind of relax and laugh
(01:12:34):
and and and enjoy and just be along for the
ride before you get into those big like NonStop action
match and the big titles. It's like a nice dip
in between where you're just like you're just having fun.
And that's exactly what this match did. Everybody looked great.
The ladies, like I said, were really shining. The puppets
(01:12:55):
were you you know, greatly. It was like, yeah, so
good stuff Withpole. I'm really happy for them that, you know,
they're getting they're getting more exposures and the wrestlers are
getting so much more than you know, traveling around in
school buses and sleeping in like mediocre's hotel room. I mean,
I mean not that tripole A was not like the
(01:13:17):
rooms we had were like, yeah, they were great, I mean,
but apparently now it's even better. So so many of
these guys and girls they've been doing Luca forever and
probably slept in their own cars, and you know, wrestle
the how I don't know. There's Luca every day in Mexico.
So if you're a luchador, luchador you go around from
(01:13:37):
one town to another and you wrestle injured and you
just keep going. You make a living out of it.
And to know that now, like things will be easier
for some of them, it's just great. It's I mean,
and they're not they're not killing you know, it's always
the fear that they will kill what it was before.
(01:13:59):
But but you know, the gimmicks are the same there.
They don't try to change Luca. It's you see a
little bit of everything that you see in Luca. Like
I said, the only thing that change was probably the
women not fighting the guys or hitting the guys, ad
vice versa. Whatever. But the way the match was worked,
(01:14:20):
it's I didn't even see it. Like it was so
fun and at the end the ladies did the go
home spot and to get the one do three, so
they were like shining. No, I I can wait to
see another Triple A show. Really, it's it's really enjoyable,
Like it's I enjoy this more than raw. I mean,
(01:14:41):
I'll watch JD McDonald do his thing there a lot
more than you know him on WWTV, or you know
mister Iguana or doctor Wagner Junior now Dominic being like
a champion, but even all the people from you know,
Triple A that were there before. I enjoy it a
lot more than seeing Sethins. I mean this, or you
(01:15:07):
know the vision God's.
Speaker 2 (01:15:14):
And Seth Rollins is. You know what if you can
say about them, one thing you cannot say is that
he's fresh. No no, so so now you know that
we are part of Wrestling Soup because it's it's the
Seth Rollins Hate network.
Speaker 1 (01:15:30):
I can't take it anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
You have, we have lots of choices. Now. One thing
I'm saying is that, and you mentioned is that I
love how they're promoting NXT. I know, I love how
they're promoting the main roster. I love how they snuck
in a couple of TNA references in there. I know,
I love how they're acknowledging history and they're also promoting
Triple A, you know, all in the same show. I
(01:15:55):
love that J. C. Jane was there. I mean, I
just I just think all.
Speaker 1 (01:15:58):
This Logan Paul was there in the main event they
like several times.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Logan Paul was there. Yeah, I mean I think they're
doing everything that I feel like they're doing wrong on
the main roster, like relying on like irrelevant celebrities and
you know, and and and pushing celebrities like okay, jelly
Roll was that.
Speaker 1 (01:16:18):
Might be Jale thing more you think, I don't.
Speaker 2 (01:16:21):
I don't even want to. Yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:16:25):
You don't want to think about the slim gym tables.
Speaker 2 (01:16:27):
I mean, I haven't watched I think I watched all
of four Raw since they moved to Netflix, and like
maybe two of them, like during regular time when it's
supposed to be on. I stopped watching SmackDown a few
weeks ago. Like I'll still I recorded and I'll still
watch it, but like I may watch it in like
thirty five minutes, like the whole thing. I love n XD,
(01:16:49):
I love FG, I enjoy your Volve for what Evolve is.
I love my MLW, I like CMLL and you know,
I check out my NWA and and and and now
I'm enjoying this. So like, I don't know, it's just
the main roster. I don't know if it's just has
you know, there's people are like, I don't know, I
just I just feel it's very homogenized. And it's like,
(01:17:14):
I don't if you if you're gonna be Disney World,
like families always have to be able to afford to
go to Disney World, to take a vacation at Disney World.
It's like, you can't. You can't be Disney level entertainment
and only allow the five percent to to enjoy you.
Or maybe they can. What what the hell do I know?
Because they keep breaking financial records and selling out things.
(01:17:37):
So I keep saying you can't, but they are so
what I but listen, I'm a capitalist. I'm all for capitalists,
but but there there are kids when things are gross.
But it's not just that, it's also it's shortsighted because
certain things can't last forever, and something like this is
supposed to. That's why Disney is actually smart. Yeah, they're
having they've been woke. I get it. I agree. I've
(01:17:58):
hated seven I have the ten last Marvel movies. I understand.
I haven't liked the TV shows either, But I will
always hope. You know, but in twenty years Disney will
still be around. I'm not so sure that ww will
still be around after twenty years, regardless of how much
money they're making, because I'm not sure that they're not
gonna sell them to the Saudis or something like that.
And I'm sorry. The NFL would never do the Super
(01:18:21):
Bowl outside of the United States. They just wouldn't because
it's the National foot League. I understand that the W
stands for world in WWE, but it's not really I mean,
come on, I mean, it's the biggest in the world,
but it's still an American company. And would I turn
down one hundred million dollars for Royal Rumble and then
two hundred or two hundred and fifty million dollars for Wrestlmata.
(01:18:41):
I'd like to say I would. I don't know that
I could because of all the shareholder goddamn derivative suits.
But every now and then you got to say, I'm
doing this for a long term. Good. What happens next?
What are they Are they going to be expecting three
hundred and fifty million dollars a year from Saudi Arabia
going forward? What happens an Rabis? That's saying we're not
spending that. You've now lost you know, zero point four
(01:19:05):
billion dollars a year. How do you account for that?
And this whole thing like taking everything? Now, I get
that you take every buck you can now, but that
sounds more like a hustler than a business plan.
Speaker 1 (01:19:18):
I guess we'll see. But unless somebody gives you tickets,
I'm not going to be attending any events soon. I'll go.
I'll go go support your local indies. Guys. They work hard,
Yeah I do. I'm still tired for my own show.
So we worked really hard. There's great talent out there,
(01:19:38):
the future superstars. So and you know, tickets are twenty bucks,
twenty bucks so on that. You know what, you got
some money to spend, you know. Subscribe to the Wrestling
Soup tratreon. These are good folks, you know. Follow the
Wrestling Soup on X and I think they an Instagram account,
(01:20:00):
but it's not really there's not really many things going on,
but they're busy on on X.
Speaker 2 (01:20:06):
Well you didn't follow bikini shots. He's got a whole
new bikini shoots on there.
Speaker 1 (01:20:11):
Oh okay, okay, so follow the rest suit. Yes, subscribe
the YouTube channel Wrestling Snoop. Follow them on X. Like
I said, subscribe, to the Patreon. We are the wrestling
stew You can listen to us every week. While we
I was going to say the synte grit, but that's
not the word. We We analyze like with details LFG
(01:20:37):
every week and yeah, so we're gonna do that next.
And you can follow Jeff on x Evil Dose you
go and you say your own because I.
Speaker 2 (01:20:48):
Do underscore Evil, which Mish actually reminded me that's what
it was. But anyway, yeah, but yeah, check out the
FG review show and on the ancillary wrestling Soup and
friendose feed is the evolved show that I mostly do
with white chocolate. It's called Dose of Chocolate. I actually
got someone who complimented me. Actually two people complimented me
(01:21:08):
on that show this week, so that was exciting being that,
like I think seven people listen to it, so that
that's a pretty good rate of return. I have a
podcast family called Garden of Thought. They're all on the
Wrestling Super Network. I would love if you would check
them out. Turns out I have a mutual friend outside
wrestling who's friends with Finn Balor and I'm not going
to spill it here, but yeah, but he's not Finn,
(01:21:32):
but the mutual friend who I did not know, has
been a guest on Garden of Thought many times, and
he's a world renowned professor. So that's all the hints
I'm going to give you, but I'm going to try
to parlay that into getting to know Finn a little bit.
I had a feeling he was into stuff because Finn Balor,
(01:21:52):
Finn McCool is like the Irish Hercules, and Balor is
the mythical giant who did the Giant's Causeway and was
the you know, I had to be slain, so I
knew that he was a mythology buff from that. So
I just gave another hint today. All right, Anyway, that's
enough for me. I'm adios, amigos.
Speaker 1 (01:22:13):
Follow me on ex Atlafisto, the Facebook dot com slash
no Fisto. Follow also Women's Wrestling Syndicate that you can
subscribe to our channel on YouTube. I will. We had

much more so. Give us a like, subscribe and all
got good stuff, and you can also follow my own channel,
LuFisto dot com. I'm gonna add a lot more matches
in the upcoming weeks. I I plan on putting my
old library there, and I don't I don't know if
(01:22:54):
I'll be able to, but that's what I would like
to do, so yeah, check it out. And that was
Jeff Lipmann. Alafis for Worlds Collide and who knows. If
you guys like that, we might be back for the
next one h
