(00:42):
I'm excited about our next guest. We're excited to welcome Rasachi to our
broadcast today. She's going to talkto us not only about her love of
being able to help and support others, but also going after her own goals
and dreams as well. If youall are not staying connected with Versachi will
let you know where to be ableto find her own line. But Versachi,
thank you again for the time.Really appreciate you stop and buy my
pleasure. So I want to talkabout this experience for you because not only,
(01:04):
of course, have you been ableto pursue your own interests and to
come to sports, but you alsobeen able to work with others, to
be able to help make a differencein the lives of others. And I
want to talk about this experience foryou, though, Presciechy. What has
it been like for you to findsomething that you love and then to be
able to pursue it and do it. Oh, it's a dream. I
always admired to be a child withor a social worker, and to actually
(01:29):
lived and to be a voice andcourt for the voices. It's amazing.
It is its life. I loveit. Yeah. Have you always known,
though, that on some level, regardless of what your profession was going
to be, Precichy, that youwanted to be able to make a difference
in the lives of others, thatyou wanted to be able to help others?
Oh? Yeah, for sure.I discovered that idea of my junior
(01:53):
in high school. And so foryou, did you grow up with examples
yourself round that made you say,you know what, you know, if
they're able to do what they're ableto do in the community, that I
want to be able to do somethingas well. Absolutely always, And I
think for a lot of people outthere that is a big deal for them
too, to be able to seeexamples of what's possible for them and then
(02:15):
to be able to pursue it.You know, life though, has it
challenges oversights here I mean, whatwas it like for you to get up
with the fear of you know, could you do what it is that you
set out to do or could youachieve the goal? How did you get
over that? Oh? Yeah, well I've never doubted myself for one,
from yes and city in Mississippi andShady Lane apartment. And everyone knows that
(02:38):
we get doubted a lot in ShadeLane. So here I am a product
and apartment and I am living adream. So I am here today to
actually prove that great products come fromye as a city and in particularly state
the Lane apartment. Yeah, yeah, that's a great thing. And I
think for a radio audience in Yeswhose city, I mean, it's a
great for them to be here.Someone who's from the community being able to
(02:59):
make a difference. So what doyou nor me to say to people?
Because you know, I'm myself,I'm not from Yessoo City Versati. I'm
from a small city outside of Jackson, Brandon, And of course a lot
of times people look at my cityand think, you know that, you
know there's not much here. Youknow that, you know you can't do
big things. What do you norme to say to people who you know,
say, wow, you come fromthere and you're able to do all
of this. What do you sayto kind of show them what's possible for
(03:22):
them? Oh, just moving forward? Do not stop? You know,
um, just turn your cats intokids and you know life is going Just
do it, you little do it? Just go? Yeah? Love that,
Love that. So outside of whatyou're able to do, of course,
you know, and working with others, you've also been able to resue
(03:44):
your passion of sports. So whendid you realize that sports was something you
were interested in? I don't thinkit was actually three years ago when the
general manager of the Misty Delated Pantherscan reveal he approached me a Walmart and
he tried to recruit me, andI was like, no, I'm too
grills for football. But he waslike, come a tactic, No,
just give it a try. SoI went to Prize and watched amazing women
(04:08):
play football. I'm like, okay, I can do this. I can
do this. So when my fatherlythought it doing it, I discover a
passion that I didn't think I had. Like it's a different type of love,
and it's also therapeutic. It's amazing. So that's interesting. Talk to
us about that. In what waysis a therapeutic? This life is sometimes
(04:30):
can be challenging. So you know, I actually, you know, take
everything to the field and I justdo my best. I put my all
into my craft, and you know, I'm always culchable. So when I
go in a field and you know, do what number forty one? I
always do, it's amazing, amazing. But you know, you one thing
(04:54):
that that's very obvious. I've nevermet you before, but one of the
things that's obvious is that you definitelyhave a belief in yourself. Where does
that come from? Because not everyone, as you know versiety has that belief
in themselves. What is it helpsyou to believe in you and your own
possibilities? Well, I actually,um I wasn't always like this, Um.
It actually started in high school,Miss earleading Hill. Shout out to
(05:17):
her as well. She encouraged meevery day to do what I love and
also Miss um Gloria Owens Elaine Owen. They pushed me to my full potential
and that was behind my back. They told him that I got it to
do it. And you know whenI finally started getting to college and you
know, I finally started doing thethings that I love, and so many
(05:39):
doors just open them up for me. So right, yeah, well that's
that's a great thing to be ableto see the doors open and to be
able to see you being able tofind not only course joying what you're doing,
but also happiness as well. Now, of course there will be some
out there, and as you mentioned, of course it's one thing to be
able to have an opportunity but theMississippi Lady Panthers. But of course there
(06:01):
are a lot of people who havecertain ideas about women in sports, right
you know, so what do youknow me say too, especially other young
women, about not putting limitations onthemselves, reciteeing what they can do.
Oh, women can volve to,women can do it to Um we fight
for equity. And you know it'snot just a mare sport, you know,
(06:24):
we just have to sudo man,it's auld a word, a soldo
nation that women can volve too.We can. Oh, it's amazing and
I think too. You know youmentioned of course someone seeing something in you,
right, I mean they think that'sthe other thing. I mean how
important was that for you to havesomeone come to you and say, hey,
have you ever thought about doing this? For them to be able to
(06:46):
see something in you? Oh?Um, it's just first off, it's
the way you carried yourself. Ialways you professional in public to actually attract
that attention, you know, foractually doors to open. Is I always
be mindful of how you you know, talk and speak and you know,
just live in public because there's alwayspeople watching. You just never know who's
(07:08):
watching and your deison I track, you know, different voices and managers and
supervisors just never know. So justbe professional always right exactly. So you've
been able to do so much alreadyfor Sarty, Is there anything that you
have left on your goal lest youwant to try to achieve and work on
(07:29):
for yourself? Actually, yes,I'm not done with school as of yet.
Um, so I want to,you know, accelerate more in life.
I'm not actually consider where I am, so the sky's delayed. So
I want to pass the scott SoI have you know, things in my
books that I will pull out,um, such as being a lawyer.
(07:51):
You know, I just love beinga voice for the voiceless. So I
want to you know, the moon, and I just want to accelerate more.
Right, So wherever God leaves, you know, you'll take me.
Yeah, right, Well, that'sgreat and it really reminds people that even
though you may have already done somethings, that there's always room for you
(08:13):
to be able to do more. And that's a great example for sure.
Can everyone versich you their guests todaywe're talking to her and only about what
it's been late for her to pursueher goals and dreams, but also of
course to be able to impact thelives of others as well. Um,
you know that you mentioned that lifecan be difficult sometime. Of course,
you know all of us are dealingwith difficulties. What would you say to
our audience out there verside you aboutthe importance of not giving up on themselves
(08:39):
first, I'll feel care, takecare of yourself. Um, you you
you matter. Um, you know, go get parity, do anything that
makes you happy to you know, continue all the life. Life always it's
curtaining the work. So just youknow you are the one, Yeah,
do this absolutely. So that's agreat point. So that's a great reminder.
(09:03):
