Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
This is Chandler, and this is Chris, and this is David.
And you're listening to the podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Welcome in Everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
For episode one thirty six, we are so excited to
have our very special guest, David Calderon. Am I saying
that last name right? Calderon?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Yeah, Calderon, Calderan calder wonderful.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yes, that's David.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Thank you if you want to give it a little
Spanish flat, but that's only if you want to.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
Well, David, you are a London based geek with a
passion for X Men men's fashion and skincare, and you
combine your love of mut and lore with your sharp style.
You create X Men inspired looks, which I absolutely adore.
I'm always looking forward to your next Instagram video when
you're gonna do an an x menated being fashioned look

(01:02):
from one of their costumes. I live for them.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
There's so much to pull from, so it's always fun
to just kind of like take a look and also
see what other people are doing when it comes to
making the look based.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
On the popular costumes from the comic books.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
Mm hmmm, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Now do you have a big wardrobe full of different
colors that you can choose from at all times, or
do you stick to certain colors?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
So I would say I probably have most colors. I
probably really avoid.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yellow and orange are really the only colors I don't
have a lot of. I guess I shouldn't really say avoid,
but my wardrobe is color coded for the most part.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Makes life easier.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, absolutely, especially when you're putting together these looks because
of the color story of each character, you know, you
just you can easily embody them through just pulling together looks.
But though yellow is a big color for X Man
with Cyclops, Wolverine, rogue, you know you can name them.
They all wear yellow.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
And this is when I realized I don't have enough yellow.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
I need to actually go like stuck up on that
color so I can do more of these types of videos.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
I want to know, is your closet like super clean,
super organized like picture, GQ, Magazine, spread worthy, or are
you like me and just a total mess tornado?

Speaker 3 (02:18):
So I would say it's more on the organized, clean site.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
So normally, whenever I do videos that require like multiple looks,
it's clean at that point and I pull them all out.
But then when I finish filming, I probably leave all
the clothes out because I can't be asked to put
it all away. So probably the next day it's just
a hot mess until I reorganize it. And then Rinson
repeat it depends.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
On the day you walk in.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Really, then well, your social media blends fashion and grooming
and geek culture just so well, what inspired you to
merge all these worlds together on the platform.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
So when I started on social media, like fashion was
kind of I guess the first thing that kind of people,
so I've noticing and it basically like shot up from there.
I've always been a nerd though, so x men is
always like near and dear for me, from like originally
watching like the cartoons back in the nineties and then
reading the comic books and everything. So once I started
kind of like seeing what other people were doing on
social media, I saw that, you know, people just are

(03:14):
making content around just geeky stuff. So I was like, well,
I'm a nerd, so I.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Just started doing it. I was like, let's just bring it,
bring it all together.

Speaker 4 (03:23):
And I guess it was really when I started doing
that kind of like the podcast The Geeky Gentleman is
where I kind of really started trying to do a
segment that was more geeky, and then a segment that
was more gentlemen fashion and grooming stuff and just kind
of like pull up them together.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Well, I want to know about where you live because
you're from London and Chamber. You've been to London probably
plenty of times, right, many times, yes, And I have
never been, So I want to know from you if
I'm this a geek for the first time in the
big city of London, what is the cool geeky things
to do? Do you go to conventions? Are their events?

(03:57):
Is there a specific store that you love the com
books store?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yes, So when I found the biggest comic book store
nearest to me, and it's called Forbidden Planet, and it's
in this neighborhood called Comic Garden.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
So it's like it's two stories.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Like the first floor has all like the statues, the toys,
the t shirts, the posters, action figures, all that, and
then when you go underneath to the bottom floor, that's
we have like all the comic books, the graphic novels,
trading cards.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
It's massive.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I probably frequent that once a week, so I would
definitely say that is the first port of harbor to
go to if you're in London, it's super Central too.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yeah, I will. I will back that up.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I've been to Forbidden Planet a number of times and
I usually end up buying something on when I'm there
because I find that you guys have certain marvel edgend
action figures or something before maybe the US stores get
them or I don't know. Somehow I'm always there and
I'm like, I haven't seen this yet, so I always
pick up stuff when I'm a Forbidden Planet.

Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, we have like it has like a massive display windows,
so they have like they see all those like big
like action figures or like the Captain America Shield or
like proper like life size Infinity Gauntlet, like you see
all those in the display windows.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
So it's just every note stream.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Hm hmmm. You're into X Men. You mentioned the nineties
cartoon as what got you in, and now we're in
modern day comics. Were you a fan of the hell
Fire Gala.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
I think the hell Fire Gala was one of the
best things in terms of like modern X Men storylines.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
I do like the idea of it.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
I'm obviously fashion comic book superheroes. I really liked seeing
a lot of the first looks that the X Men
characters had when they did the hell Fire Gala. As
a massive Gene Gray fan, I have always been not
so pleased when Marvel reverts her to her Marvel Girl uniform.
I don't understand why in today's time they still put
her in that uniform.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
I think it makes no sense why she wearing that
yellow mask. It makes no sense.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
So the best thing for me for hell Fire Gala
is that they decided to basically take the look her
first Health Fire Gala look and make it into her
modern day uniform. I was like, oh, thank the Lord
that they finally got rid of it. I just could
not stand it anymore. But there was just so many
other iconic looks. Like if I had to do any
costplay for any comic book convention, it would always be

(06:09):
a Health Fire Gallon look.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I want that, Chuck, Wait, wait, which year, because we
want with the big advisor with the big Yeah, yes.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
That's a that's a good look. I love the second
year look, the one that is.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I think they say it's very Muglair inspired or something
with all the kimonos and the boots and everything, and
I thought I thought that was a really cool look.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
I just think the Marvel really struck a chord with
the Health Fire Gallop and they know it because that's
why they did it again.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yes, one of my favorite looks from the hell Fire
Galla was Colossuses.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yeah, but the first one.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
It was like the big, big fur kind of like
see through shirt and he was designed by an artist
named Lucas Burnet who was previously on the show a
while back, and he's a Brazilian artist. I was just
in Brazil and I got to meet him in person
for the first time and he yeah, he talked about
how he just loves Colossus so much so he loved
pouring his style influence onto him. And it's one of

(07:09):
my favorite designs for sure, was that Colossus look.

Speaker 5 (07:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I think Storm also it really looked really good too,
because I always made her hair look like it was
like this big ginormous cloud and then she had a
cape that was like like just second more clouds.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
It was just well done, well done.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
She wore the weather, She wore the weather.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
It was yeah, well conceived, well designed prompts.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Indeed. I want to give a special shout out to
voice actress Leonora Zan, the voice of rogue. She actually
wore the hel fire gala looks, you know, to different
awards ceremonies like the Astra Awards and the Emmy Awards.
Pretty iconic. So which actor from the X Men ninety

(07:51):
seven cast, let's segue over to that would you love
to see in a how fied gala look in real life?

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
I mean we have what If?

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Season three coming out, right, so I definitely need the
storm should just like roll up rocking.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Out that look.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
Because when they dropped the teaser trailer for it, and
you know, she has like one line in the trailer,
I was like, I played it on repeat.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
I was like, is it her?

Speaker 5 (08:16):
Is it her?

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Isn't her? I was like googling, I was, and it was.
I was like, well done, very pleased.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
Well since I touched on X Men ninety seven, real quick,
what's your hot take on season one?

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Oh my god, I'm obsessed.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
I am obsessed. I have never been so excited for
a cartoon in my life. Every day and again I
think I get it like a day later than the
US over here in the UK. So I was legit
waiting every morning just to watch the first thing. I
don't think the X Men cartoon has ever been done
as good as Season one. That was proper serial storytelling,

(08:53):
but also condensing a lot of storylines, like what is
it Like? The infernal storyline was like one episode two Max,
but it's still connected so much to all the other episodes.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
I cried so much, what is it? Remember?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
It?

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
Five? I would say five five, destroyed, destroyed. I've gotten
so many people to watch it too. I was like,
you have to watch this cartoon. You have to do't
you don't watch the nineties, it doesn't matter. You have
to watch it.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
And so people that haven't watched the nineties that you
convinced do, they come back to you and say they
loved it.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Yeah, they go back and say they're going to start
watching the nineties.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Oh good, good, goody. You're spreading the good word.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yes, I know, Breaking in the Mutant Family. No, let's
go good. I agree, X mean ninety seven. We've gushed
about it on this podcast for months and months and months,
so it's it's one of the best. And you know what,
I have not rewatched it, like just straight through. I
feel like I need to just give myself. Like I've
watched like picked up random episodes or like I just

(09:56):
want to watch this one today, but I need to
just like plow through and watch it all in one go,
because that week break was so intense, because you're like,
oh my god, it was it was so cool. It
was so cool to for christ and I to be
like in the middle of it too, because of our
relationship with the voice actors and being at the premiere
and all that sort of stuff. It's like, it's wild
to be so close to it and and also be

(10:17):
in the dark because we don't know anything that's going on.
So it's like, oh, it was so cool. I love
that show.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Sorry, now I'm gushing. I'm gushing.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I'm still hoping to hear that they are going to
make season two ten episodes, Like is it so currently nine?

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Nine?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Why? Why it's it's so far in the future. Just
add that episode back on. I don't understand. I don't understand.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
Give us more, all.

Speaker 5 (10:42):
Right, I am going to segue into a hot seat
Q and A with you, a rapid fire Q and
A on X Men fashion and grooming. Okay, David, I
want to know some questions from you about the mid
of X Men and what you would advise them, so

(11:03):
Gambit is known for his suave attitude. What grooming tips
would you give him to fully embrace his cage and charm.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
I would probably recommend a more kind of like gel
type of hair product just to kind of reinforce the
slick back look. So he's always the rock and rage
and cagun that we know him to be. That is
what I would suggest. We know he likes a slick pony.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
We know he does.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yes, he does. If you were going to create a
men's fragrance inspired by Wolverine, what notes would it have?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Well?

Speaker 4 (11:42):
I was like, I was trying to, like premp think
to the question and if I'm gonna be like, what
would you call it?

Speaker 3 (11:46):
And I was like the beast within, Well that's what
that works too.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Okay, Okay, we got the name of it. What does
it smell like?

Speaker 4 (11:53):
I mean, there definitely has to be musk in that,
so I would definitely say the main kind of center
is very musk, very earthy, because we know Wolverine is
just always like running anywhere through the forest.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
If it was in the dart and I'll probably add
send me a little like refreshing, you.

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Know, just to make it look like it was like,
you know, he just tried to get a quick clean,
but you know still has that kind of like Musky
said to him.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
That is where I would go.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
With those I want to smell this. Okay, So beast
is covered all over the place with blue fur. Let's
say he is visiting Florida for as an example, where
the humidity is super high. What would you suggest for

(12:45):
beasts to tame his wild hair.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
So that one I would actually give a specific product
because I use it so because I have kind of
like a wave and curls from my hair.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Whenever I go to humidity, it basically goes to hell.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
So I use this product from Living Proof, which is
a they have like a fregain a specific name of it,
but the brand's Living Proof. It's like an oil that
basically once you come out of the shower you just
basically just run it through your hair just to kind
of keep its natural texture and curl to it so
then it just doesn't like frizz out and stray and
just gets super dry. That is what I would recommend

(13:20):
for piece, but he would probably need at least like
fifteen bottles of it for that entire.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Area.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
For my question is on skincare.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Obviously, we have Professor Xavier who is bald, and so
his his chrome dome is exposed to the sun all
day long and his face he's out on a picnic
with the X Men. How does he want protect his
skin and what is his skincare routine to you know,
remain so supple looking into his old age, so.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
I would definitely suggest a good bit of because he's
on the older side of life. So at night, I
would definitely suggest that he's using a bit of retinal,
whether that is like a retinal serum or retinal night cream.
But then in the morning, you would definitely want to
make sure you're using a very lush moisturizer because sometimes
if you have sense of skin, a retinal could dry
you out just a little bit. Nothing too crazy, But

(14:18):
the very last step he has to do in the
morning is applied SPF. I would definitely not be putting
anything that's less than an SPF fifty. One of my
favorite spfs currently right now is this one called It's
a mirrored multi vitamin SPF fifty.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
So it's a clear gel.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
So even if you have, like even with his light skin,
it's not gonna leave any white cast, but it does
kind of leave a nice little Matt effect. So if
he happens to have a little photowok or anything, he'll
look very pristine.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
But he will definitely want to make.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Sure he's getting that entire top of the head, so
we keep that all nice and safe from the sun.

Speaker 5 (14:53):
Yes, be nice. All right, Well, you know what you picked?
Fantastic issue. Let me say I read dark Web one
through three and there was so many fun things that
happened leading up to the issue. But is this did
you pick this issue because you love Maddeline Pryor.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
So my favorite X Men character of all time is
Jean Gray.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
So Madeline Pryor, as I guess as default her as
kind of like extra, kind of falls within the parameters
of Jean Gray's kind of history, So I've always taken
a liking to her because also she's the mother of Cable,
so whenever she's kind of featured any storyline, naturally, Jean
Gray is kind of featured, so I always.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Kind of like I'm reading up on what Maddie's doing.
So yeah, she's I'm a fan. I'm a fan.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
What is it about Jean Gray as a character that
draws you in what do you love about her?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
So much?

Speaker 3 (15:47):
So I feel like Jean Gray.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
I mean it depends on most people know Jean Gray now,
I guess like from the movies and stuff, but if
you go back to like how I know her from
like the X Men nineties cartoon and then you kind
of read her initial like comic book history. She was
always the underdog at the so you know, she was
always like the one with telekinesis and telepathy yet really
wasn't doing anything or always as like the underpowered one.
So now that she's kind of so like formidable and

(16:10):
one of the most powerful X Men, I do think
that she's that kind of a true underdog story. So
because of that, she's always kind of like I've related
to that, and she's like the heart of the X Men.
And I also like that she can be like fiery
and like upset whenever she wants her and her emotions
do get the better of her. But at times, you know,
she's always ready to drop whatever need like, drop whatever
she's doing or whatever needs to be done to you know,

(16:32):
help her family.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
Plus the Phoenix.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
Oh yes, people love that Phoenix.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
When done properly.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
What is your favorite Jean gray look, either costume or
casual wear, what is the one that stands out to
you in your mind the most.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
So I'm torn on this because I am I was
more or less a child of the nineties and not
technomic hell the eighties. But I just kind of, I guess,
brainwashed to always think of her in her nineties costume,
Like that is what's always in my head, the first thing,
because it's what I always tend to see her in.
But if I had to pick a favorite one, I

(17:14):
would say I love a Phoenix album outfit, but I
kind of prefer the anime version of it. Do you
guys ever see the X Men anime anime version when
she was like in it for like a hot minute,
like the Phoenix like the phoenix wings actually like comes
out and it's kind of a little more like like
popping out of like the should at the shoulder level. Oh,
And I just think it gives kind of like a
more like less of like a one piece look. It

(17:38):
looks like it's a kind of like multi layered phoenix costume.
So that would say, stylistically is my favorite? Mmm?

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Cool, well, very cool. Well, I'm so excited to get
into this issue. So let's do it. We are covering
Dark Web X Men number three and this is when
gd Gray returned from the dead and Scott Summer's left
his wife and child to be with her. The fact
that she was revealed to be a clone of Gene
didn't make her feel any better. Maybe the cold sting

(18:07):
of revenge can that's our synopsis.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yes, this issue.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
It's written by Jerry Duggan, who is so funny. He
is one of the funniest writers. I love his humor.
And the art is by a combination of Phil Noo
and Rod Reeves. Rod Reeves who was a previous guest
on our podcast. So go back into the archive and
listen to rod Ree's gush about Bilson Kevitch art from
New Mutants and the title of this book is called

(18:35):
two Redheads Enter One Leaves.

Speaker 5 (18:42):
Oh yeah, so let's set the era. This com book
was published January eighteenth of twenty twenty three. The top
song at the time was Anti Hero by Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Oh my gosh, she just like owned the last decade,
didn't she.

Speaker 5 (18:59):
Yeah, I love this song. This is one of your
favorite Tadler, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Not this song but in particular, but Taylor Swift of course. Yes,
I love Taylor Swift.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Yeah. I feel like we talk about her on the
pod religiously at this point.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Yes, and one day she'll be a guest. I mean,
we manifest all our guests, so let's just have a
Taylor Swift moment.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
I will for you.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yes, I wonder if she's an X Men fan. Actually,
I mean I know that everyone fancasted her as Dazzler
in the Deadpool and Wolverine movie, so maybe she got
into Dazzler.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
Anyways, we don't.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Need to dieve, we don't need a tant it into
Taylor Swift.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
It's me, Hi, I'm the problem.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
It's me.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
The top movie of January eighteenth, twenty twenty three was
Avatar The Way of Water. This is a movie I
did not see. It didn't still I didn't see I've
seen the first one, but I've not seen The Way
of Water. Everybody kind of gave me a lukewarm review
of it.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
So I passed.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
I mean, as a person who watched Avatar The Last Airbender,
you cannot help but see the similarities of ideas stolen
and again, I'm a big believer. There's no sense of
no original idea. So everyone's just recycling from each other.
So I call it out at the same time. No,
it's not like James Cammon is the only person toun it.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
I suppose. So I am a little you know, jaded
by it entertaining.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
You know a lot of people say, I call it
a plane movie, like when you're on a long flight,
like save it for the plane.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
It's it's your like see tearless films. Yes, yes, so
I watched all my DC comic book movies.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Same Shame, same and Sony Spider Verse movies I watch.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
That's when I saw Madam Webb.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
And that's where I'll probably see Craven.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Yes, I wanted it to be good.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
I haven't seen it, but I just not poor Aaron
Taylor Johnson, Why are you not back as Quicksilver?

Speaker 3 (21:06):
Marvel? Pull it together?

Speaker 5 (21:08):
Right right?

Speaker 3 (21:09):
It's there, it's there, it's the way it's waiting to
be done.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
It's a break up back, it's not people come back
from the dead all the time, I know, and Wanda
can make it happen.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Licketty split, She's not dead. We know this.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Wait wait is this podcast or no, no, no, no,
we're talking about comments. Chris what happens in in issue three,
Actually we should just well, let's just let's just paint
a little bit of picture. This is dark Web, Yes, yes,
so dark Web is an overarching cross title storyline that's
going on across Spider Man and Venom.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
And I think like Moon Night or I can't remember,
there was all sorts and.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
The next one obviously, which is the one we're covering,
and there is Previously, Madeline Pryor was given rain of
Limbo through Magic. Magic gave it to her in the
New Mutant series, and then somehow Ben Riley ends up
in there and together they're like, hey, you're a clone
on the Clone. We are scorned Clones, and we're going

(22:10):
to take over the Earth, and she grants him powers
of Limbo. He becomes Chasm and then they start wreaking
havoc on the world and Chris, if you want to
give us the update on issue three.

Speaker 5 (22:22):
Well, I just want to also say that some of
my favorite stuff leading up to this because there's a
lot of humor. The writing is a lot of fun,
Like the Christmas Tree what's it called? In where the
ice skating rink is in New York Big Plaza. Rocker
Fowler Plaza. It gets possessed by a demon, along with

(22:43):
so many inanimate objects like hot dog carts which is
eating people, taxi cabs, you know those little bird motor scooters.
All of those get possessed by demons and start attacking
everybody in a hilarious fashion. It reminded me of Gremlins. Yess.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yes, and of course this is this is a Christmas story.
It's Christmas time, so yeah, this is a perfect time
to talk about this comic.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
So what ends up happening is Goblin Queen traps Cyclops
and Havoc using her tones her magical spell books, while
she at the same time is trapping Jean Gray and
magic within the mind. So they're on a psychic battlefield.
And one of the cutest, most adorable, horrible things that

(23:36):
I've ever seen was the fact that Madeline dangles puppies
on leashes around Cyclops head takes away his visors and said,
and you're going to open your eyes, there's gonna be
puppy guts everywhere, and I'm just like, no, not the puppies.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
I know it works, Yes, and then and then even
see them like off panel likes saving them.

Speaker 5 (23:58):
Yes, And of course we get Havoc in the Goblin
King suit, because you can't have Goblin Queen go into
Limbo being in charge and have habit there without him
being in that sexy get up, you know. So that's
where we're That's where we're at leading up to this,
and this whole thing is Madeline has a cerebro spear

(24:22):
that has Jean Gray's, you know, copies of her memories,
and she wants to tap into that.

Speaker 1 (24:29):
Yes, well, let's go on to the cover.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
We have Madeline and Havoc holding hands with a pink
spark in between them and Jean Gray's face in the
background is by Phil Noo. Beautiful cover. Phil, Always it's
a home run.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
I'm just happy that they modernize the Goblin Queen costume,
you know, I think when you look back at how
she was initially portrayed her like that, I mean, I
see why she's drawn that way, but doesn't really make sense.
So I do like her costume here. I love that
she has like the crown kind of signifying her like
ruling of Limbo. The one thing I don't like about

(25:12):
anything Madeline related is her relationship with Havoc.

Speaker 3 (25:15):
That's always the one thing that kind of like doesn't
sit well with me. It just never did. It Just
it's too incestuous.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
She was with Psyclops, she's a clone of Jean Gray,
and then Havoc is with the clone of Jing Gray
who looks identical to Jean Gray, who his brother is
still with it. Just that's like one too many for me.
So I'm always like, so like all the anytime Havoc,
like in this issue and he's like, Madeline, I'm trying
to understand you, like, let me help you, I'm like, oh,

(25:45):
that's the only one.

Speaker 3 (25:47):
That's the only one. Everything else I do, Like, I like,
I feel for Madeline, But when it's Havoc, I'm like, word, yeah,
but no one talks about it. No one talks about it.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
I agree, though, you know, of all the men the
mad can have, you know, she picks well, you know,
I think honestly it's because of the Cyclops relationship. I
feel like this is deliberate, like if I can't be
with you, I'm gonna be with your brother Psycho like energy.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
That's yeah, that's not helping Havoc. He's he's in therapy
because you're you're your brother's second.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
Still with the clone.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
I know, I know, I just feel like you havoc
embracing that makes no sense to me. I feel like
he should be like no, no, no, no, no. I
know he has a whole thing with Polaris, you know,
and whatever. But yeah, it's now that I know that I.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
Think about it.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Though, I do understand. I understand why Maddie targets him,
and she's just like, you know, like I said, if
you can't be with Scott, she could be with the brother.
She'll be part of the Summer's family no matter what.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
She wants. Oh boy, well, let's get into this issue,
shall we.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Oh my god, this is fine.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
We've got Forge and Sync using like Ghostbuster ray guns
against these possessed traffic cones and trash cans and all.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
This sort of stuff.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
I love the absolute absurd silliness of the possessed inanimate objects.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
I mean the original Inferno this happened as well, but
that I felt was a little more like not serious.
Like I like the comedic value that they're putting in it, because,
like you said, like even with what people are saying,
like the dialogue between the characters, there is kind of
humor to it, which is nice just to kind of
have balancing I guess the seriousness of it, but yeah,
I just love that Forge has just like gun that

(27:46):
it just makes crocoa girl.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
Anyway. He's just like just having the time of his life.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
But since he'sn't doing anything, since it's just running around right, well,
actually does he use his powers at any point?

Speaker 2 (27:58):
I think he's using his powers to siphon all of
forges in you know, ingenuity or his inventiveness, so that's
why he comes he comes up with the plan. But yeah,
just just to comment, Yeah, an original inferno, it was
mostly mail boxes were eating people, so it was like
really more horror driven rather than these kind of cutey

(28:21):
demon things.

Speaker 5 (28:23):
I'll take a cute demon any day, fair enough.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
But even when they burned, like the initial like Rockefeller,
like huge at Christmas Tree like at one point.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Like ah, and you're like, oh, I kind of feel
bad the tree, but it's Christmas, I know not.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
I think two of the inanimate objects that became possessed
they also become sentient at the same time, and then
they fell in love with each other, and then they
were expressing their love as they were dying. I was like,
wait a minute, I'm confused. Are they like alive alone?
And so were the X Men. They are also confused.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
I know.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Oh my god, I love it.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
But yeah, so, uh, they're making plan. They're trying to
get there's humans in the treehouse. For some reason, the
Dean will not attack the Treehouse or crack Cohen soil
or crack CoA in general, and so Forge and Sink
come up with a plan to use the gate to
get all the humans to New Jersey and safely off Manhattan.
And this man that's like, I don't want to go

(29:19):
to New Jersey.

Speaker 5 (29:21):
It seems all like, but you want to live more?

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Right, every New Yorker's mentality, I suppose I know, do
I have to do? You want to live?

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Now?

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Because I did not read one and two ever to
refresh my memory, I've read it back in twenty twenty
three when Forge whips out this like little legend of Zelda,
like flute. Is that something that he was using prior?
Or is that just something that he just has to
tame these vines?

Speaker 4 (29:51):
He just had it because in the first two issues
he had his little ray gun that was shooting the vines.
And then it's like, what is it the mcguffin. All
of a sudden, he has like a flute. He's like, okay,
let's level up.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Yeah, it pulls out. I love it.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
Well. It is causing vines to grow everywhere, and it's
basically causing Kracoa to grow even more within this treehouse environment,
to kind of expand Krakcoa's territory because, as Chandler had said,
the demons are not attacking Krakoa.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Yes, I just love this kind of snake charmer flute
thing with the magic note green glowing notes to cause
the vines to grow out and then kind of push
back the demons or I don't know if he's trying
to like wrap it around them so therefore they can't
bite down.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
But yeah, they're they're really mad. They really really want.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
To bite and eat these humans and mutants, but they're
but the boss lady said no.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
And in the moment where we see the panel of forge,
uh you know, using this fluid, it totally reminds me
of that will you want a scene he pulls out
a flute to open the door. Oh and that's the
tone I'm hearing in my head as I'm reading this.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
Yeah, I was hearing legend of Zelda, but I could
totally hear the little piccolo that.

Speaker 5 (31:11):
Whatever, and these you know, garbage cans and all these
inanimate objects are hilarious. One of them, says Cheater, Cheater,
smelly feeder.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
I mean, these namenologies have too much personality.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Well, and then on our next page of the comic,
we get our quick little recap Who's she?

Speaker 1 (31:39):
And Grant who's Madeline?

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Prior, let's do it in nine panels, and they recap
basically how Sinister took Gen's DNA, made Madeline Pryor. Then
Madeline married Scott and then gave birth to Cable, and
then Cable was stolen brought into the future. Madeline Scott
broke up, Gene and Scott back got back together, Havoc

(32:01):
and Madeleine got together, then they broke up, and now
she's the ruler of Limbo Clifford.

Speaker 4 (32:08):
Wow, with all of that, she's not doing too shabby, right,
Madelin's not doing too shabby with all that going on?

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Yes, I mean, I will say it is heartbreaking the
X factor issue from Inferno, where Gene and Cyclops like
rip away her personality and everything and just make they
call her a no girl and a nowhereplace or whatever,
and and I hate them for that.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
I will never forgive Gene and Scott for doing that.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
I do feel bad for Madeline, And I don't know
if this was just if her character was just a
victim of just I don't want to say, like lazy writing.
In the initial Inferno, they just really wanted to like
get rid of her because obviously we know, you know,
initially they wanted Jean Gray to be dead, and then
it was like a mandate bring her back, and then
there was this clone and they were like, how do
we just quickly get rid of the clone? So I
don't know if it was she was just like you know,

(32:56):
like a sacrifice of like that writing room. But I
do think, like you said, like the whole way Scott
and Gene dealt with it and the way it was written,
it was very harsh and it's just I don't know,
not a bit out of character, I don't know, but it,
you know, kind of just Madiemee's a little justified with
how all that kind of went down, Like I would
be burned too, So yeah, from Maddie feel.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
I feel for Maddie for sure, and just to have
that little context. Obviously, this Reckoning issue that we are
going to continue to recap is really special and it
was unexpected when I read it, and I really really
love where this story goes and how Jerry Duggan tells it.
But yeah, I will say Maddie's been burned. I'm a

(33:41):
big Maddie fan, and so I'm really happy that this
issue happened. On our next page, we have Gene and
Maddie fighting in their big pink biosphere of energy because
they are fighting over the cerebral helmet, and we learned
that Maddie is trying to get some memories out of there,

(34:03):
but they're so angry at each other, nobody's listening.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
Yeah, and then the spear explodes with a shrack, and
Madeline is pissed. She's just like no and blash Jeane
across the room. But you know g can hold her own.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Oh yeah, for sure.

Speaker 4 (34:24):
I just think the entire fight with them is so great.
Like I think it's at the end of the second issue.
It's it's where Jean great just like gives her like
a huge like physical psychic psychic slab, like the slap
heard across the astro Plane. You're like, yes, kind of
needed to happen, but it's really great to just see

(34:44):
two psychics going at it. Personally, I fin we have
yet to see that probably done in the MCU with
all the Hollywood budget out there. I do not know
why they cannot master what's it's not called the astro
dimension in MCU. A proper psychic battle fight like multi
multi verse of madness tried for a hot minute, and
I don't think they pulled it off remotely. X y

(35:07):
ninety seven did it wonderfully in the second episode with
Gene versus Maddie, Like, I'm like, why can this not
exist in a MCU film. So it's nice to see
in a comic book just two psychics going at it
like in the physical world, in the astral in the
astral plane.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
So I always pleased, Oh yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
I love how they make this soap opera ish.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
They're like, oh yeah, Jerry Douggla's just like turn up
to eleven soap opera.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
We're going for it.

Speaker 4 (35:36):
I don't need my muting gift to feel your despair, Maddie.
It's time for us to heal these old wounds and
for you to learn a few things, including who I am,
No more games, no more tricks, no more illusions.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Yeah, and then it's like, I'll free you from.

Speaker 4 (35:53):
A spell in the moment magic, She's like, I have rather,
I'm busy, Yes, mommy's busy.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
After I free Maddie, Yeah, and then goblin cream is
just shattered on the ground. She says, damn it, you
took them from me again.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
I regret not doing this before, Maddie.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
I don't know why you thought you could take what
you saw by rioting around in an old backup of
my mind?

Speaker 5 (36:15):
What I would take from you? What about what you
took from me?

Speaker 3 (36:21):
Stop? That doesn't need to end badly?

Speaker 5 (36:24):
Stand down? Oh gene, yes, she screams as she like
flails and bounces off the floor. Wow that was a
hard hit, Jean. I was like some telekinetic punch in there.

(36:44):
You can have what you want? Yes, I think I shall.
And you know, Maddie puts her finger up and does
some swirl of magic.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
She summons a pentagram portal, and out of the portal
come demon hands, and Jean says, oh, come on. Several
demons now are grabbing at Jean, pulling at her limbs,
trying to pull her through the portal, and Maddie says.

Speaker 5 (37:13):
The notion that I negotiate or gravel for what is
rifley mine is insulting.

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Okay, Maddie, now you've done it. Now I'm pissed off oo.

Speaker 5 (37:28):
But you know Madeline is not even blinking in eye.
She's just like, who cares. I've only been pissed off
for my entire life And.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
This is the second, this is the third time Jeane
has assaulted Maddie.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
I think it's so human the fact that you have
these two women who have freaking telekinesis and telepathy who
are then still resulting to physical violence to get that
feelings out.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Yeah, I do love that, because, like you said, it's
they're so frustrated that they're like, this is what I
need to do, Like, you know, a telekinetic push is
not going to do it. I need to physically feel
my fist.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
On your face. There's all sorts of drama going on.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
I mean you even see like Mattie's pulling Jean's hair
like it's gone to that level.

Speaker 3 (38:24):
She's pulling the hair.

Speaker 5 (38:26):
God while they are both evenly matched. Why because they
both have the same powers and as the writer says,
Maddie would probably do very well on Arocco. Yeah, Ruth,
but she ain't doing very well in this fight because why,
there's only one Jean Gray. And she kinetically blasts her

(38:47):
across the room, you know, making the building fall around her.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
There is only one Jeene Gray, and she always pulls through.
She always finds the strength to be better. But anyways,
she revives magic, Magic wakes up, she downloads magic on
what just happened, and then she basically is just like,
I don't need you.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I got this. Go save the X Men, and you know,
Maddie and I are gonna have a little talk.

Speaker 5 (39:15):
I just love this though, because she's all like, uh,
what I miss And Jean's all like, I'll download you everything.
It's a domestic now. Can you imagine like how much
time we would save if we could just tell it,
tell it, kinetically, tell each other the tea instead of
spending an hour on the phone, you know, because I
have friends that will give me the whole rundown of

(39:36):
the situation. And I'm just like, oh, this is a
really cool power. You could just be like, I'll download
you the tea. That's what happened, all right, it was
a domestic issue, and then all right, moving on, she
got the four one one very quickly.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yes, oh yeah, Maddie's charging up all these big boulders
and she's gonna throw them at them, but Jean can
stop them, no problem.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
And she goes, look, you know what, I.

Speaker 2 (39:59):
Don't need any help because I am going to surrender.
And I love how Maddie and Magic both are just
like yo, what you are?

Speaker 5 (40:08):
What the shock on their faces?

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (40:15):
And Magic is just like all right, piece o, I'll see,
I'll see how the others are doing. Bye bye. Now
everything gets kind of dark, you know, very serious, very melancholic,
very focused, and Jeane is sitting cross legged, hovering off
of the ground. They both are, and Jean and her

(40:36):
begin to chat, and Jean says, I.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Told you I wanted to heal our wounds, but you
were too busy throwing rocks to hear me.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
You weren't looking to hurt me with the drive.

Speaker 5 (40:47):
No, it wasn't about you. I never got over losing him.
I gave birth to him alone in a kitchen.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
He was such a good, quiet baby.

Speaker 5 (41:00):
Unlike the rest of those fussy Summers. Is and then
she Madeline begins to shut a cheer, but Jean, she
puts out her finger and she grabs it and teleconnectedly
makes that your float in the air.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Why just for dramatic effect?

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Why why does she have to telekinetically pull the tear
off of Mattie's face?

Speaker 3 (41:22):
Also, like, where's it going?

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Like just like like I'm gonna save.

Speaker 5 (41:29):
Well, uh you know water holds memory. Sorry, it was
a Disney life lesson from this movie called Frozen two.

Speaker 1 (41:38):
Wow that one.

Speaker 3 (41:43):
You were ready you already.

Speaker 4 (41:46):
Wow? Well anyways, right, then continues, you were after the
memories of my time with Nathan before you had to leave.

Speaker 5 (41:59):
I want to all the good the bad, her steps burpsparts.

Speaker 3 (42:06):
Then you shall have them.

Speaker 5 (42:09):
Oh, and then their eyes go white, and then Madeline
just exclaims oh. And she sees everything. David tell us
everything she sees on the splash page.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
So she's seeing Jane and Scott changing his diaper.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
Please.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
They're seeing Cable with taking his first steps with Scott's help,
Cable Cable, Nathan taking off the visor of Cyclops accidentally,
Jean crazy and the baby with lots of love in
her eyes, and then Nathan and his little baby Crib
is a lovely panel, very good artwork, very good and

(42:49):
then you have Maddie right in the middle, just kind
of taking.

Speaker 3 (42:51):
It all in.

Speaker 4 (42:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (42:53):
I love this page. And on the next page we
have an informational page about Jean Gray notes. There's a
few of the cherished memories Jean shared with Mattie. Do
any of these memories stand out to you, Chandler, You know, I.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Skipped over this data page, so I haven't actually read
it again. I'll just read one. Let's see Jean Gray's
notes A few of the cherish memories Jean shared with Mattie.
Having a funeral for the Goblin Queen presided over by
a priest was perhaps a weird decision, but it was
the thought that counted, and Mattie.

Speaker 1 (43:30):
Was glad to have a look into it.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
Okay, she shared her death, bro is is that what
I'm reading? It was at her funeral. So she's like, oh,
and by the way, when you died, I was at
your funeral.

Speaker 4 (43:44):
Well it's one of those things, don't you like, I
feel like people are always like, you know, when you die,
don't you want to know who actually was there? I mean,
you've long since cared but in her situation, she can
actually I guess see who was actually there and who
actually cared enough too, I suppose.

Speaker 5 (44:02):
Yeah, well, I want to know about this baby tooth,
because apparently Nathan only left behind one baby tooth before
heading into the future, and it later went missing, and
there was no evidence of this, and everybody just assumed
that it was mister sinister. What a creep? Where is
this baby tooth?

Speaker 4 (44:20):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (44:21):
Was it mister sinister?

Speaker 1 (44:23):
Maybe?

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Do you think they're planting a seed? Really, we don't
need another clone.

Speaker 1 (44:30):
It's already got one too.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
I mean, he's got his younger self, not a clone,
but whatever, he's got his time displace younger self himself
and then the clone strife.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (44:40):
Yeah. She also got the memories of when Cable was
a teen version of himself, you know, prancing around Kracoa
and doing things. So you know, she's she's got the
whole gamut of of these, you know, wonderful, beautiful, mundane
memories and everything in between. And how is this light

(45:04):
gonna affect her darker impulses? Well, that's a story for
another day. And now on the next page, we're back
on Maddie and she says, I didn't think you were
just Maddie.

Speaker 4 (45:16):
Giving you those memories doesn't take them away from me.
I didn't have them as long as I wanted either.
Mutants grow up so fast, especially the summer is but
right now the world is still burning.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
New York needs the X Men, so say the words.

Speaker 5 (45:33):
Me really, Yes, here's your megaphone. Oh and this is
a really touching moment because Madeline is now proclaiming or
screaming out psychically to the X Men, to me, my
x Men, come on, is that the best you can do?

(45:54):
And then she lets it rip war with a to me,
my x Men.

Speaker 2 (45:59):
Yeah, that cyclic Havoc run in with puppies.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
We were all wondering what happened to those puppies.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
Yes, this is so cute, and I love how Havoc
is in his slutty Goblin friends outfit, like he couldn't
he couldn't put on a robe or anything. He's like,
I'm just gonna go rounded this, but I guess if
you got it. If you got it, you know, I
don't want no shamee sorry, no shame, no shame. He
could wear this all day long if he wants. You know,

(46:31):
Cyclops says that they're running behind because they were saving
the puppies, and Havoc is like, h he's not needed
on the team. He doesn't have a place with the
X Men, but he is an X Men and so
he's going to try to save the day as best
he can. And then she Maddie's like, well, let me
do this because now I'm going to fix New York

(46:54):
and yeah, and then basically the team gathers, they rally,
they do their big group shot at the very end,
and we get we get the Puppies and Cyclops and
fire Star Ge, Magic Forge, Iceland, Sinc.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
Maddie and Havoc.

Speaker 5 (47:12):
And a piece of information that I love here is
the fact that Jane says to Maddie that she was
the one that kept pushing the Council to resurrect her
because she believes in second chances. So that was a
big realization for Madeline Pryor.

Speaker 4 (47:28):
But this is why I love Maddeling because I feel
her stories are always there's always like a human element
to it, you know, like we were just like talking
like Chila. We do like initially in the original Inferno,
we do feel she was kind of like done dirty
by Cyclopes, by Jean Gray, and then like even here, like, oh,
Maddie again, you're upset again at Cyclops, are up set
again at Jean Gray, but then to have it because

(47:49):
she wants to get these memories.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
Of her son that she never got to, you know, experience.
I was like, oh, there it is, Oh I relate.

Speaker 4 (48:00):
Yeah, So it's nice to kind of see what I
hope is finally the mending of the relationship between Madeleine
Cyclopes and Jean Gray. I do really hope wherever we
see Madeline go from this point on, that she's not
harping on about this so much. I hope she got

(48:20):
the closure that she wanted by getting these memories, because
I do think as a character, she's so.

Speaker 3 (48:27):
Just so much going for her that's different from Jean Gray.

Speaker 4 (48:30):
With the whole kind of like mysticism and stuff that
I do want her to kind of be explored in
that area and not so much always as the clone
of Jean Gray who's still upset at Cyclopes.

Speaker 2 (48:42):
Yeah yeah, yeah, well, you know, and obviously after this
she does she kind of you know, she is the
lead of Dark x Men series, where she runs the
Limbo Embassy in New York City and you know, she
kind of has her own personality now that we're in
this new era from the Ashes, she's nowhere to be seen.

Speaker 4 (49:02):
But you know, what can we do as long as
you're not upset anymore, as long as you're not seeking vengeance,
and if you want to just go after mister sinister,
like go go, be a good guy and go after
the go after mister sinister.

Speaker 3 (49:16):
He keeps on being like let off the like, let go, Like, oh,
he didn't do anything.

Speaker 5 (49:21):
Well. The war concludes in Dark Web finale. That's what's
next for this What was your favorite part of the issue, David.

Speaker 4 (49:30):
My favorite moment is the reveal of what Madeline was
truly after I do think, I mean, like even like
Jean Gray, like you can see, you know, she has
a tempered you know, half the time, she's probably enjoying
having that fight with with Madeline.

Speaker 3 (49:42):
She can't she can't give a I don't want to curse, she.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
Doesn't really like at some point, she's still frustrated with Madeline,
so she's kind of like indulging in the fight a bit,
and then then it's until you know, she realizes what
she actually wants and it's like, well, yeah, of course, like,
even though Jean isn't the mother of Nathan, she does
feel like she is. You know, when when they initially
had the first fight and Madeleine initially died, you know,
she kind of got all those memories and she took

(50:08):
back the phoenix and whatnot, so she kind of feels
like she is. So she understands where Madeline's coming from,
which is why she's like, fine, I surrender, Like if
you want, it's here, it is. That's my favorite part.
I do think kind of her motive. Madeline's motivations, though
she goes about it the wrong way, were of the heart,
so she was able to turn around.

Speaker 3 (50:26):
So that was my favorite part of it.

Speaker 5 (50:28):
M For me, it was Psyclops and the puppies, because
I really love the puppies and I'm glad that they
all survived.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
I mean, you can't show puppies on the verge of
being like almost dying and then that they did not survive.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Everyone's god be like, where are the puppies?

Speaker 5 (50:45):
What happened exactly? I mean even magic. At the end,
she makes a mention, she says, plus, we got to
return these dogs to their owners, right, or can we
keep one or two and I say, yes, girl, you
keep one or two? Yes Chandler, what was your favorite part?

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Well, besides the puppies, I'm gonna say I, Oh, there's
so many good moments. But I love the weird demon
things that are possessed. I think they're so so cute,
and obviously they're They're much more featured in prior issues,
but that's one of my favorite goofy things of this
series is the the demon element of New York City items.

Speaker 5 (51:31):
I thought you were going to save Forge with the
blue well that too well, David, thank you so much
for joining us. This has been a true pleasure and
a delight. You are so inspirational, Like anytime I see
you across my social media feed, it makes me want
to take care of myself and you know, get into

(51:52):
that gentleman gentlemanly fashion and style. Thank you for doing
what you do and I want you to tell our
audience where can they follow you on social media?

Speaker 3 (52:03):
Oh? Thank you for that.

Speaker 4 (52:04):
You can follow me on social media at drifting dkel,
on Instagram and TikTok.

Speaker 3 (52:09):
It has been a fun time with you guys. I
love notding out and just talking x men.

Speaker 4 (52:13):
So I'm really sad we missed the Entia first twenty
minutes of of us conversing that was not recorded.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
People missed a lot of good stuff in that.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yes, yes, indeed, well yeah, thank you again so much
for being on the show, and I look forward to
joining up on some Marvel Rivals team camaraderie because the
game is so much fun.

Speaker 3 (52:37):
Who are you playing as right now?

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Magic?

Speaker 3 (52:40):
Are you? So?

Speaker 4 (52:40):
I haven't touched Magic just because I've been so deep
in Scarlet Witch and Silock, but also like lunas Snow
slaps fy like I'm doing so many KOs as a healer,
I'm like.

Speaker 2 (52:52):
What, Wow, I've never played Luna Snow though I've seen
her in action a lot. I'm such a bad healer.
So I'm either Magic or Wolverine if I want to
do brawler stuff, or I am a Black Widow if
I want to do some far away snipers stuff.

Speaker 3 (53:08):
She snives. She's always She's always the one that gets
me a scarlet whit.

Speaker 4 (53:11):
So when I'm coming out of like my little like
magical like phase where you can't touch me, then I
like river back to normal.

Speaker 3 (53:16):
I'm dead black Widow. No mean, I'm gonna find you tonight.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
Yes, yes, I sent the request so we can. Yeah,
we can.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
We can team up and Chris, we got to join
the Marvel Rivals thing, you know.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
Dragon.

Speaker 5 (53:35):
It's so I'm in you guys, I'm sold. I'm ready.

Speaker 4 (53:43):
Also, did you hear that the apparently Jane Gray is
one of the leaked characters that's coming out.

Speaker 5 (53:48):
I heard.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
I did not hear that, but I heard Emma is
coming as well.

Speaker 4 (53:51):
Yes, so it's mister all the fantastic full so mister
fantastic and is a woman human torts thing Emma Jean.

Speaker 3 (53:59):
No from Spider Man the Spider Verse. Oh yeah, there
was another one. I mean I saw listening once I
heard Geene Gray. Now for as, I was like done, done.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
And it's free, you know.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
And then the thing is, the game is free.

Speaker 4 (54:14):
So it's like I've spent fifteen pounds already just to
get the Multiverse of Madness costume for Scolet, which you had,
and I'm about it dropping, and I'm about a dropping
another fifteen to get the the Ninja costume for Silock.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Yes, I got the Ninja costume for Siloc and I
want to get the Wolverine outfit. So yeah, I mean
you just got to that's that's the game is way
too fun not to spend some money on it.

Speaker 1 (54:35):
They deserve it. They deserve it. They worked really hard on.

Speaker 4 (54:38):
This game, and as I love video games, I've always
felt underserved when it comes to Marvel of video games.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
Do you games ever plays with Legends? Oh?

Speaker 1 (54:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (54:48):
I was?

Speaker 1 (54:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (54:49):
Why was there not a third one? I'm sorry? Excellent
Legends say was just as good. I was ready. I
was like, where is it?

Speaker 2 (54:55):
Yeah, I'm mad that what happened is that they they
turned it into.

Speaker 1 (55:00):
To Marvel Alliance.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
So x Men Legends Team then transformed into Marvel Alliance,
which is very x Men Legend. You know that it's
the same kind of mechanics mechanism. So yeah, but I
do agree we need a new X Men game. But
the new Wolverine game leaks looked so cool that I
cannot wait for the Wolverine game to come out.

Speaker 4 (55:21):
It looks so cool solely because they have Genkray in.
It's playable, playable, She's like, play was a mission. I
am an avid person who likes to say that Wolverine
is like shoehorned into everything. But the game does look good,
so I will give it a chance.

Speaker 5 (55:40):
I think that's it, y'all.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
This was fun and hopefully we get to do it again.
