website at all the your nerds side dot com, you'll

Starbucks not a bad deal. Huh thanks to our friends
over at Amazon.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Uh. This week show, we've got a lot to do.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
We're gonna talk what if because the final season happened
and I wanted it. I presented something on social media.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
And I want to read it to you guys. On
the show, we have Denise Crosby.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
She's Lieutenant Tasha Laar from Star Trek and has some
outtakes that I want Ana Maria to listen to me.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Am right, you're gonna a you got it? Uh, aren't you?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
You never to me.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
I want to I have some outtakes I want you
to listen to.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
When we're talking to Brent Spinner, who is Data Aeron
Michael standing next to him and I go look it's
Data and he got real mad. He goes, no, it's
the actor Brent Spinner.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Okay, but did he even know who Data was?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yes? He did?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Wow, he really DNA running.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
That's amazing. I start to show you come back.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
I want to talk about what if first knocked out
of the way season finale. There are no more what ifs,
and I'm very sad about it.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
The final It's happened. Uh, but we'll talk about that.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
We come back right welcome where Once a year sci
fi buffs take their lips off the barrel of a
loaded gun and spend half a day adjusting their eyes
to sunlight.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
I want to see a comic book with pregnant zombie nuns.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
He's psychotic nerds.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
What a bunch of freaking nerds. I'm nerd to your
personality work.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I'm in front of the popular click.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
I was kind of a lonely nerd in high school.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I started a quilt, I did yoga twice a week.
Were flip flops in public like the nerd.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
So Disney actually keeps track and the Disney Plus keeps
track of all ratings, and then they should about this.
And what If series on Disney Plus did very very
very well that it was three seasons, but I think
they just ended their timeline.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Now that means lack of imagination.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
I mean, if they hadn't created the what if series
of where the guy gets involved and there's always a
big payoff the end, you know the Watcher.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
And he's got to do something.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
If they just did story after story after story after story.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It would be fantastic.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
And the stories were so good they didn't what if
that they they.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Just took off to do their own stories.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
They are coming out with a Marvel zombie movie. Now
they're coming out with Now it's in the works, A
Captain Britain.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Not Britain but Captain carter Y spin off of it.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
But did you notice the war Machine was not in
any of the wet as.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
He wasn't.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I didn't even pay attention. Now war Machine wasn't a
big thing. He was was get his own movie in
the Mechanical now?

Speaker 3 (02:58):
But how did how are the get in it? But mission?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Because they just I don't know. I've never been a
fan of Howard the Duck. I don't know why they're
doing that. I never got into him.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
But what if Deadpool Wolverry were Infinity War?

Speaker 2 (03:16):
I don't know?

Speaker 1 (03:16):
So I posted out there and asked on social media, Uh,
would you contribute what if scenarios to the long running
thread of I had a thread going.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
If you had a what if, what would it be?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
One of the big ones was what if Steve Rogers
became Captain America in the Vietnam War. I love that
one because that's some serious, that's some taboo stuff you
don't want to touch. It's a it's a weird thing.
It's kind of like, uh where he wanted where he
didn't want to be part of the whole uh spy

(03:48):
thing anymore. Remember how he's upset of that during he goes,
sometimes I want to be here. I don't know if
I'm really doing the right anymore during this I think
not to say or the Winter Soldier he said that.
Do you remember that?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
No, it just he didn't want to he didn't want
to sign no.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
And he was really upset during the Winter Soldier because
he didn't like how the werelies after lies and all
that stuff. And he goes, I'm not really into the
spy stuff. It was either it was he said, it
was nicer when we knew who our enemy was, and
it was this now, it's all. And if during the
Vietnam War we didn't know what was going on or
who was stealing what or doing anything.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
It would just be a weird scenario. Those whole what lefty.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
War after the Vietnam War, but the thing is that
was interesting, and I apologize because I know we're doing
something different. But the weirdest episode a lot of people
are blogging about it was the one where Howard the
Duck did have a baby.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I don't know why they did that.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I didn't pretty much. Season three was kind of a
little weird off for me. The Gonga may one. I
didn't like, the one with the Hulks. I didn't like that.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
There's a few of them there. Season one and two
were fans Tassic, though, I'll give you that.

Speaker 5 (05:01):
I think a lot of people had more problems with
Darcy having an egg.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
That was a little bit odd for them.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Well, things do change things, staints. It is a woman's world,
and she is allowed to have an egg.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Here's my question. With the axe shortage going on, what
would people do with that?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
If thirteen dollars right now the lowest one I found
for a dozen, those would probably go.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
For thirty eight dollars a dozen if they were that size.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
All right, So here, if there was another season coming,
this is some what if id Yes, what if Deadpole
killed the universe? What if Arnman killed Captain America? What
if Spider Man had six Arms. We've seen that before.
What if Wolverine joined the Avengers? Didn't he join the Avengers.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Though Wolverine was Yeah, but not in the movie. But
isn't that But what about the what you might call
it it's Spider Man becoming Sorcerers Supreme?

Speaker 2 (05:57):
There was another one? They said, don that's.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Actually I think in the comic books, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
There's too many of them and I can't get them.
They're too old way.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
But if yeah, Peter became Sources Supreme for a week.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
We got Rary Williams became the Punisher. What if Thanos
became Weapon X? Holy Molly, that's Carrie. What if mj
became Spider Woman or girl?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
That wasn't that?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Quinn Stacy? Pretty much?

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:26):
But do you know there is what if Loki was worthy?

Speaker 5 (06:29):
So that is actually a storyline a Loki in the
Valkyrie story by Madeline Rue.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
So there are, like you said, so many.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Of them, and I'm surprised they are stopping.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Right for the what ifs comics?

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Well they did, They do these short term ones and
they stop them.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
It's just the whole problem.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Is Marvel is so scared in Disney now to put
these com books out because these com books just aren't
like they're like they're just on the shelves.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
There's nobody going in there buying them.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
No, no, I know.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Miles Morales became Wolverine, Miles Morales became Thor, Miles Morales
Captain America and.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
The artwork is amazing.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I saw those another one, what if Daredevil joined the Avengers?
What if Howard the Duck was the Murk with the mouth?
What if neymor fought Hydra? What if Wolverine fought the Hulk?
Come on, we've had this before this, dude, what are
you doing? This is the first comic book of his
parents of Wolverine when he fought the Hulk.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
I know, I mean, but where's your source? Who's bringing
this up?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
These are just different people sending this in.

Speaker 5 (07:35):
But there's a lot of people, like first Storm the Goddess.
They want to see that continuation from the what if?

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah, that would be pretty good. What if Rocky Raccoon
lands on Earth? Sequel to what If Peter Coile attacked
Earth's mightiest heroes?

Speaker 2 (07:52):
What if? And this is a good one. I like
this one.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
She sent in what if Hulk and Thor were part
of the Avengers Silver Warm that movie.

Speaker 5 (08:00):
Okay, you want to hear one from another listener. What
if Tony Stark killed the Winter Soldier? What if the
other half survived the Snap? What if Peter Quill excuse me,
didn't leave Earth? What if Tony Stark didn't return from
the Portal. What if Thor went to Titan instead of Wakanda.
What if the Silvil War never happened. What if the
Eternals intervened, what if Ultron won? What if ant Man

(08:24):
didn't come back from the zone, and so many many more.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
I like this one. Hold on, We're ready to see it.
I just lost it. I was just looking at it
was so cool.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Oh oh, what if Thor was raised by the Frost Giants.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
That's freaking awesome. That is.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
What if Tony Stark was never kidnapped? What if Captain
America was unfrozen during the Cold War.

Speaker 5 (08:50):
I think Tony star wasn't. Remember he was saved Tony.
They did do that episode. No, no, no, the prior went
Tony's Dark wasn't kidnapped, that's.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Right, and he saved them. Yeah, but they're they're thinking
about there. What if Drats' family survived? He remember he
dracts the destroyer just believing home.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Uh what is that other one?

Speaker 6 (09:13):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Yes, this is for uh what if? Where I just
lost it? It's so good?

Speaker 1 (09:18):
He brought him back to wa Conda? Uh what if
T'Challa brought his nephew to Waconda?

Speaker 5 (09:24):
What if they finished the Stark Gomora episode? They never
Oh yeah, you're from season one?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
What if Bruce.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Banner successfully created a super soldier serum that.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
If the vision was a witch hunter, which he actually is,
right killed a vision?

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Uh huh so that is coming up that sauce.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Yeah, I don't know. I don't know why they went
in the direction they did. If you guys have any
anything about this, feel free to chime in about it.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
And if you like the way they did it. I
just don't like the way.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
It's episode episode, episode, and they took all of them
and they use them at the end.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
I'm like, Yeah, I love this one. What If? No
season four?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
That is funny, funny, that's pretty good? All right?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Uh so what if you want to check it out
Disney Plus all season threes, all three.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Seasons are up there.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Yeah, and if you want to see the what If series,
you can't get the comic books individually, but you can
buy the graphic novel with every single one. But if
you're like me and you're a nerd and you gotta
have the freaking combooks, you want them all separate, and
you like punting a little plus the bag or hand
to hang them up. Like my son has, what if uh.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
The fantastic for in Spider.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Yeah, what Fantastic four?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Because they wouldn't they wouldn't have to change the fs
from four to f five 're just perfect. They're like,
you know what, just throw them an extra shirt. We'll
just add an extra fine.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Thought the letter would be so wonderful.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
So I thought, I'm jumping a gun into other news.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
I thought the whole franchise Alien was officially gonna end,
but it's not over the new movie that came out,
which is streaming now, I believe on Amazon.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
It's I haven't seen it yet, but it was pretty good.
It's like years later.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
They have a new one coming to Alien Earth, the
first official TV series for the Alien franchise.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
It's a TV series that's the thing that.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Works of the planned release date for some time this year,
and as the way continues, FX has dropped the new
trailer through the highlights how Earth serves is the setting
for the show, so that's what's kind of scary. It
looks like the Aliens friag here through the running at
just thirty seconds long. Teasers intense, So if you want
to check it out. I haven't put on the website.
I just recently saw it, but it looks like some

(11:36):
of the alien ship crash lands is all that stuff
all right?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Well, and here's the thing.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
The seventh Alien movie, the Alien Ramulas, right, it made
woof my two hundred and forty three million dollars with
international tickets against an eighty million dollar production. So if
everyone's wondering why they're making more, like you and I,
it's money.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Of course you're gonna make more. It's a money market thing,
you know what. Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
So they had Alien come out. They did that because
they wanted to go get Star Wars, but they needed
something a little scarier in space.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
What was the tagline? Can you scream in space? On
with that?

Speaker 1 (12:14):
So the Star Wars Alien because the whole thing was
nobody wanted to do star Wars or space franchises because
that was so seventies and eighties, and you know, but
because of that, so they did that. Part two was
even bigger than the first one because Cameron did it.
Third one was kind of sucked, The fourth one was.
Fifth one came down.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
They're pretty good.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
They had Alien versus Sprinter, which everyone was waiting to
see it, but they made it PG thirteen.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
I know once you go PG thirteen.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Well, now, devil.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
It was so bad.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I remember I went to see it and I was like,
what the hell is this? You can't Oh my god,
the original one where the robots got ripped apart and
she was there in early You don't ruin Alien by
making a PG.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Thirteen.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
You go there for the bloods, blood and guts and
the scare factor, and you have PG. Thirteen because they
wanted to sell freaking toys too. You don't sell Alien toys.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
You're stupid.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
So Aaron, tell me, really how you feel about this.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
It's stupid. You don't do this. They want it, they
want it.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
They want that whole George Lucas where they can sell
toys and they can do this and do this. You
can't have your If you're gonna make a piece of pie,
make one pie, eat the whole pie.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
You can't try to put pieces in it.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Aliens got to be rated are it always has to
be bottom line and nothing a top. The First Alien
I watched it during the Yeah, falloween times fantasm.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
I watched it again the front.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
I was like, Chap, guys, this music, this movie's fantastic,
the spaceship and everything in it.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
And it hasn't.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Aged at all, Like it looks like something because it
looks run down, beaten, because they're doing they're a construction
fleet to go and do things and savage salvage stuff.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
You know, in space.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
I don't know what it would look like, but if anything,
it looked like it would look like that.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
I'm sorry, but my thing. The question is, here's a
sociology question.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
Why are everyone wanting horror so much in their life
these days? You know, like before once in a while,
the blog or there'll be a Halloween movie.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Now it seems a year long.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
What's going on with society that they want more horror
than what's already out there in reality?

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Well, first off, there's nothing to do. Television is very sporadic.
Television has gone in the toilet.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
Number one. Movies come out sporadically, and if you watch
it all. There isn't.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
I gotta say all there is on television. It is
a network to play repeats of Seinfeld, Big Bang Theory, Seinfeld.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
Big Bank talking about everyone. What you do it?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
It just well, No, I mean there's nothing really new
unless you're gonna watch singing shows or competitions.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
That you say, singing in the ring.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
No, there's no new.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Shows and on streaming and on demand and all that stuff.
There is new stuff coming up. There's shows and not
movies to date to take a date out. Is there
anything scary to take a date out to you to
have a scary night so you hold close to each other. No,
they have to do this all year long. There's nothing
on television for it.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
You want. Everybody either wants a comedy or.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Nobody wants to take that date to their parents' house
because all these millennials are still living at home because
it's so expensive out there.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Not if they're working for a startup company or Google
or something like that, they're fine.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
They're fine.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
They're talking about all right, we're done with aliens. If
they screw this up, because it's going to television. Remember,
it's not gonna be rated r it's gonna be on FX.
Sont know how they're going to do it.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
Okay, So I found some cool stuff off of Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
We're going to Quick Interview and we're gonna jump shoops
and go straight to Star Trek. Marvel Comics is seemingly
confirmed that a depth of one Star Wars Mort's controversial characters,
the fate of Watu Shimi and her son Anakin, Skywalker's
slave master on tattooing in the prequel triality, will finally
addressed in the upcoming issue of the publisher's Star Wars
A Legacy of batter which I always get. So it's

(15:55):
on hold there. It looks like in the comic book,
we have Kyle Wren or Han whatever his name is,
Solo or Young Solo, goes around to go research about
Darth Vader, his grandfather, and when he's there, he reflects
and goes back and finds out that Darth Vader actually

(16:17):
killed him, went back and killed him because he so,
And that's in the column book.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
But now do you know there's a tombstone that for Wado.
I just can't remember it. So it's on Wattle Wattle,
thank you. Yeah. So nineteen ninety nine to twenty twenty five.
So there's a lot of people looking at it. So
really it's on it's on It's on someone's ex account

(16:42):
at CARTI sort of say, s COEO R S S.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
This is on social media.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Yes, oh okay, so who knows this?

Speaker 5 (16:51):
I think it could be fake, it could be real,
but people are having kick out of it.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
So what are your thoughts? Do you think he was
worth it?

Speaker 4 (16:59):
No?

Speaker 2 (16:59):
I really did. I ever cared for the character. I
thought it was one of the worst Carrea. It's episode one. Nobody.
I really don't care. I really don't care.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
And I'm glad that they should have choked a lot
of people in that movie. So if they could have
went back and killed everybody, been great.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:10):
So on discussing film, they actually on their ex account
they actually posted the other day of it of him
just going right after him where a vader. He's ed
a vader. Something must return here. So yeah, but it

(17:32):
doesn't get very Definitely, it's just a very cold, calculated
leader trying to kill someone who killed his mom.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
All right, it's the latest comic book episode being It'll
be in your comic store this February or if you
order them him delivered to your house, which I'm going
to really start doing now because it's way cheaper. I'm
probably gonna start doing that, all right, So quick interview.
We're at Galaxy Con. Who invite us back again? I'll
reach out to you guys. This time we talked to
Denise Crosby. She's Lieutenant Tasha Laar from Star Trek. Oh,

(18:02):
she was awesome, fantastic ang with but real fast. Want
you to listen to snippet. I'm gonna raise it up
as loud as possible because I just had a rolling
Aaron Michael my Son stand next to me and I said, look,
there is the data from Star Trek, and Brent Spinner says,
turns us and says, no, I'm the actor just listening

(18:23):
to it. I want to say something I've been. I
go to two hundred comic cons. I mean, Sean Roland
Ta Yeah, I'm rolling Jay a year and I have
never been treated so nice by the celebrities.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
And you are amazing. You're beautiful, even even Brent just
I rewind you look one more time. We're telling you
hear it all right. I want to say something I've been.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
I go to two hundred comic cons I mean Sean
rolling tape. Yeah, I'm rolling Jay a year and I
have never been treated so nice by the celebrities.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
And you are amazing. You're beautiful, even even Brent.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
It's just not like Brent Spinner was upset or he
was just trying to reassure something upset.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
He was upset.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Yeah, you should be proud of who you are, mister Spock.
Just totally invested in that, totally invested that I'd be
I'd be, I'd be honored.

Speaker 5 (19:12):
I mean, the problem is they they have fame, but
they didn't want to be typecast and want to be
do other things.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
So unfortunately, sometimes we have not.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
Learned what other actors to do is done bigger things
later earlier on versus later on.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Sometimes you're doing all the things he had. I've seen
him in so many movies and different things he did,
but just people known for that. There's nothing wrong being
known for something one thing like Ewan McGregor. Is he
stuck as Obi Wan Kenobi? No, he's doing other things.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Yeah, but he was doing that. He has been a
very savage actor.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
All right.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Here's Denise Crosby Lieutenant Tasha Laar from Star Trek so
much real fast.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
I know they want autographs.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
She'll take pictures of you, all right, go go go,
you have priority prior of me.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
So I'm went Denise Crosby. I want to say this.
You are as beautiful as you are on camera. I
am being serious, and you are too kind.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
I paid him for that fuss.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
She had me nothing. I am so lucky to get
this interview. So let's talk about it.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
From Star Trek the next Generation to head Cemetery, all
the stuff you did, you weren't one lucky individual.

Speaker 6 (20:21):
Oh you're damn right about that.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
I mean you're locked in and I know you took
yourself off of Star Trek as you wanted to do.
Tell it movies, movies and stuff. You know, you're still
locked into that and you can never get rid of it.

Speaker 6 (20:32):
No, and I'm grateful, believe me. It's it's a beautiful
thing to me.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (20:36):
Yeah, associated with And it wasn't it wasn't really.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
I didn't really leave to pursue movies.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
I left because the role. They weren't developing the role.
Yeah exactly, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
But you had a great role and I'm glad they
brought you back in another episode.

Speaker 6 (20:53):
Absolutely, there's no question. And she really had an impact,
you know, on the show. She really had on presence
and influence there.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah, I always have my son work. Yeah, I love it.
It's there, buddy, it's free. I have no idea and
they're doing I hate to say this, my company. They
just let go of like twelve people in my work.
Oh no, they let go of my camera guy, the producer.
So but that's how it is right now.

Speaker 6 (21:19):
Everybody's everybody's streaming down, every everybody.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
So what are you doing right now? Besides the comic cons?
Do you guys are coming up next? Get over, come on,
let's go go. Let's take care of them first, and
I'll get you a.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Lot of writing right now.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
I'm working on a book.

Speaker 2 (21:32):
So is there a website we can go to Douscrosby.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Dot com or you can follow me on Twitter?

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Okay, or excuse me, yeah, you gotta do that right?

Speaker 4 (21:42):
Do that?

Speaker 6 (21:43):
Why did you mess me up? Elon?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
You messed me up? Because I have That's a whole
other Hey, go ahead, I'll be so. They do this
on purpose. They put you guys next to each other
on purpose. Sure, son, are you? But are you guys
on a panel together today Sunday.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Sunday, and we have photo ops later together.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
How does that work out for you guys? Is it good?
Is it together or separate?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
We have solo and then we have a group shot.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Tomorrow's can be so packed, I hope so, oh no, no,
this is this is all media.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
They had us come in today to push you guys.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Yeah, and then tomorrow's like, oh it's it's gonna be crazy,
that's way crazy.

Speaker 6 (22:21):
We want success for them.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
This is gonna well if they signed a three year
contract and I'm not supposed to say anything, but I'll
probably be doing so what they want me to do
in the front they see they do that. They want
me to broadcast live. Oh yeah, so and then my
bosses are I'll see how it is. We'll do it
free because they don't want to. And then you guys come.
They have you guys come to a table so I
don't have to go out to you guys.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah, throughout the show. But this is all gonna get edited, okay,
guys edited it. Yeah. So your website where.

Speaker 6 (22:48):
If you follow me on X at the Denise Crosby Okay,
and I'll be you know, I'll put I put when
I'm appearing somewhere. Actually I should probably tell everybody i'm here,
but yeah, I put. I put stuff like when my
book or when I'm doing reading.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
What do you?

Speaker 4 (23:06):
What are you?

Speaker 2 (23:06):
What are you writing right now? I want to know
it's it's.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
Really something about my life that happened to me when
I was three and my father denied fraternity. My mother
had to take him to court. It's a really fascinating story.
It's a really big story.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
And when's this come out?

Speaker 6 (23:29):
Well, let's you know, I'm just beginning the writing, so
there's no you know, people are waiting for it. So
I'm just I'm writing as fast as I can.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
I'm I'm I don't do it very much. It's Michael J.
Fox interviewer. Yeah, I'm starstrucking. You have no idea. You're
so sweet because I like Star Trek.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
Everybody always pushes me with Luke Skywalker or Mark Hamill.
I get two interviews with okay, and I'm like, yeah,
it's Mark Hamon. It's Star Trek's different from Star Wars. Yeah,
very there's a very different I want.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
To get back to this. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
You're you're very thank you, honey.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
He was crosy. I loved hanging with her and your
handler Ash. You're good, you didatos? Are you ready to start?

Speaker 6 (24:11):
I've got I know I should be a.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yeah, there you go, tick A, I thank you.

Speaker 1 (24:17):
So that was Denise herself now Latasha in the series.
Denise felt the character had no character development and she
loved the character, but was restrictions put on her role
and she said, you wanted to give more to the
acting of the role, and she said she couldn't. So
she just thought herself and went to them and said, hey,

(24:38):
just kill me off.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I'm tired of being in straight stage dressing. And she did.
She want to do other things.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
She did pet cemetery, She did like about twelve or
fourteen movies, a lot of them until she recently just
retired and pulled back a little bit.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
But yeah, I have a different question for you, Katey.

Speaker 5 (24:53):
Someone's listening to this podcast and was like, Wow, how
does he get these celebrities to answer all these questions?
Any advice or training you will give to your listeners
out there, how they should approach this when they're interviewing guests.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
How should they approach them or how should.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
They approach and ask questions.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Well, you always try to make them their approaching them
is you asked if you can interview them number one,
or you send it a letter and you can hear
them by phone or zoom. And then two, you always
want to talk to them real fast and make them
feel like your best friend. Down when the conversation starts
and you joke around with them, it turns into a
regular conversation and it's just funny.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Or just put them a relax got to make people relax.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
And then you I always try to research three things
that's really big about them as things they know. And
if they are typecast, like you're saying with Brent Spinner,
you don't talk about a type casting thing.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
You branch out to other things. Does that help? Does
that answers? Is that?

Speaker 3 (25:48):
I hope? So for you listeners out there, all right?

Speaker 1 (25:51):
Good news for all those people like Terminator James Cameron.
The Germinator streams for free on two B starting February first.
It's a release in nineteen four the science fiction classic rank.
It's one of the genre's best films.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
From the decade.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Is that amazing and it's true and it stands out
like you put in the top of the classic Predator Aliens,
which I said, RoboCop and Blade Runner, and the term
received mixed reviews, but was a commercial hit.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
That's a thing.

Speaker 5 (26:19):
I'm just glad it's out there for more people to
watch it because so they could realize, like, whoa, we
need some safeguards on this AI. Because even Arnold said,
did I not tell you? Go ahead, use your voice?

Speaker 2 (26:31):
What did I not tell you that AI is going
to take over the world. Do not be juvenile, stupid.
You should realize this now, he says, I showed you
the movie. It's gonna happen. It's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
For a wrap up the show, real quick thing, we
saw the Skeleton Crew, which is on Disney Plus. First
episode a little bored, it's a spin off Star Wars,
a little boring, and then it picked up. I loved it,
but Defonse's I posted like on social media and I
talked to Frank stuff, and I'm like, I liked it.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
I liked it.

Speaker 5 (27:02):
I liked it a lot, But you really liked the
kids too.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
The kids were fine. Liked it. I liked it. It
was fine, and the.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Main boy character just did not woo me.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
She doesn't like kids.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
Are a little sissy. The girls, the girl because they
were tomboys. She likes tomboys? Was she like whoosy boys?

Speaker 2 (27:19):
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Well, recent interviews and looking at the reviews, it's not
likely it's gonna be renewed for a second season despite
positive reviews, low viewership numbers that put it among the
least watch Star Wars shows in Disney. Plus this is
according to Nielsen data. It failed to crack the top
ten stream lists upon its premiere. Eh and I don't

(27:41):
know if this has anything to do with the Acolyte
or anything like that. A like did very well but
not the best.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:48):
They were on top of the world with all these
Disney shows for a while and then maybe you got
to stick to your big ones. I don't know, they
branch out, nobody watches it.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
You stick to.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
No, because you know what The Mandalorian was branched out,
wasn't it?

Speaker 2 (28:03):
It was? It was up made up on its own.
But it is a fantastic show. That is a.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Fantastic show, The Mandalorian Mandalorian and the movie.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Was becoming up.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
I think that's what was missing because everyone was saying
the kids acting was great. True, the special effects were great.
I think it lacked the heart, like there's it's ending.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
What's kind of weird.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
It ended like it should have continued within that next
episode it did. That's the only thing that was weird
for me. Yeah, all right, we got to wrap up things.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
We're running out of time.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
But uh, one more thing I want to add you guys, Uh,
you are going to go see dog Man this Friday.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
I cannot believe young parents do not know who dog
Man is. Read a book which name Pa, Pa, How
do you say his name?

Speaker 5 (28:51):
The author who also is wonderful because he's learning profiles
at ADHD and and also dyslexia always were asked to
be kicked out of class.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
And the first dog he drew while he.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Was being kicked out is the same one design that
he wrote in the book. And you can listen to
Aaron Michael doing some reviews on Fonsaca Mommy and Me Show,
also a podcast that the One and only Fonseca produces
as well.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
So and then we are gonna we'll tell you how
that is.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
And then he wants he's getting his dog bowl the
popcorn bucket for dog Man.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
Is that dog I'm.

Speaker 5 (29:30):
Gonna tell you that even though you go to Matt today,
you're stilling with a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
With he wants that dog bowl so bad. That's what
he's waiting for. And then we got coming up.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
We're gonna see the premiere, not this week, next week
of I believe it is Captain America Brieve New World,
So we'll see how that goes with the Great Hulk Melson.

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
