Stranger Things
After a long wait in between seasons, fans finally get a glimpse at what's to come, and the stakes have never been higher. After the cliffhanger Season 4 finale, which had the Upside Down slipping into Hawkins, the final season will be bigger than anything the show has done before. Stranger Things just officially unveiled the first trailer at Netflix's Tudum 2025 event, which can be watched below, also announcing the release date this fall and winter.Stranger Things Season 5 premieres on Nov. 26 for Volume 1, with Volume 2 following shortly on Christmas, and the finale released on New Year's

The Last of US
Despite Season 1's popularity, HBO did not prepare for a quick turnaround for Season 3. The season was confirmed on April 9, 2025, just four days before the sophomore season's April 13 release date, but that early renewal still left little time for the writing and filming process. Production has not yet begun for Season 3, as the seasons were not filmed back-to-back, despite their initial success. The initial expectation was that filming would begin in the summer; however, it will likely be a lengthy production process, and there will be ample post-production work to ensure that the visual effects are of the highest quality. If the schedule follows the same path as season 2, it will be years before Abby and Ellie return to the small screen. Season 2 was announced on January 27, 2023, and production began on February 12, 2024. The year-long delay was substantial, but it was largely due to the industry-wide SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes of 2023. Still, even after filming began in earnest, it took months to conclude, as production only officially ended in August. If Season 3 follows a similar path, filming would not end until December 2025 or early 2026, and that is only if the cast arrives on set in Summer 2025. Isabela Merced (Dina) told Variety that the season may not begin production until 2026. Given that new piece of information, The Last of Us Season 3 is unlikely to debut until late 2026 or even 2027.

Walt always hated Goofy and he would’ve deep-sixed Goofy a long time ago if the studio didn’t need to make those movies to give ‘make work’ to so many of the animators. Boy, he hated Goofy.Keeping this in mind, it's easy to suggest that Walt Disney felt that Goofy was bringing down the tone of the studio. While his stupidity was entertaining to young audiences, it didn't highlight the real work that was going on in the company. But as the company continued to expand and hire more animators, it seemed that Walt needed to give them something to do while their superiors were working on the money-making projects. Overall, while fans will never truly know how Walt Disney felt about Goofy, Gaber's claims about the character offering "make-work" do fit the narrative.

Speaker 1 (00:00):

It's an eighties movie and the nineteen eighty four is.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
This going to be good? And actually it's pretty good.
I didn't write a review about it in like that
because I was like, if they're not going to invite
me to the premieres, I'm not going to write a review.
So if you want to review, you got to fight
us to the premierees. We pay for something. I want
to enjoy it. But it was really really good. Warm bucket.
I'm surprised they're making pop worn buckets for every freaking movie.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Every movie souse, there's suckers like us bye though.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Okay, so the karate Kid win, you said, amc which
the one we got there is for what do they
call that thing on the roof they did the battle?

Speaker 3 (00:50):
You're asking the wrong words.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
It's on the front. Well, you know how he had
in the originally some of the five tournament girls tournament.
So they call for this, yes, and so it says
that on the side and on top of the plopforn bucket.
It's like a thing, you know, break the board, eat
the popcorn on top of. It's pretty good. But that's
a mc m and C.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Market.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
They have theirs too, But it's kind of similar, right.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Very similar, but it's more it's a white but kind.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Of like no different than if you're going into into
your karate lessons where you're cutting your hitting those boards.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
I'm telling these popcorn things are huge. You look at
my studio right now in front of me. Got the
desk Star, there, got a Clone Trooper there, I got
a tonton there. Any more popcorn buckets? I'm sure there's
more around here.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
The Blue Beata was the book pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
That was awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
The one that no one could find.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Is Lelan Stitch.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yes, now who can now? Do you know that Leelo
Stitch for me more?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Weekend outsold tickets more than Top Gun Maverick who had
the last record, and it'd be even mission impossible as well.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
That's amazing. Well, you want something to see with the kids,
you know what I mean? You're like, yeah, I take the.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Kids to go see it well, and also the three
hours with trailers or Mission Impossible was a lot.

(02:30):
Leon Stitch sixty three million, Mission Impossible twenty seven million,
and Karate Kid Legends twenty one million. Wow, dude, wow,
Leland Stitch.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Right and whatever they don't make up from movie tickets. Well,
Rego is selling exclusively on their website, and I'm sure
you will show this on your YouTube channel too. For
seventy five dollars and ninety five cents. It's the price
tag for the five Borough Sweatshirt Tournament. It's a hoodie
with logos so it looks a little and then it

(03:03):
also has uh, you know, two branches and one tree.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, it's not too bad.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
I kind of like this movie the way they put
it together. We're gonna do the opener. We're gonna do
a real fast one. But I want to talk about
I like the way they got Jackie Chan and Ralph
Machia together, like, oh, because one is from Japan, of course,
mister Japan Daniel and wax wax On. Jackie Chan is

(03:34):
from Hong Kong. So they said they met.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
Chan was in Beijing, basic China.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I'm sorry, I was trying to go China, not to say,
but Beijing they knew each other and they were a
family with the branches.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Because you remember, no, no, they met for the very
first time in this movie.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
No, no, no, they met. They met years prior, not
this movie. I'm talking about Jackie Chan and mister Miyagi.
They know each other prior.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
But you said, Danielson, No, I'm.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Sorry, so Daniels, because I think miss Riggy saying Daniel
son my belt, what about you? I have J C. Penny.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Now, how did you like Doctor Pong, who plays the
mother of Lee Fong, who's the actor Ben.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
She was hot sometimes okay, some lighting throwing her and
then she wasn't song okay.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
I was just saying. She's the voice actress of Moulan
the original.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
This is me now. When she's pretty high yes she is.
She's I thought so.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
The love interest of Ben in the movie. I thought
Ben's love interest to.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
The doctor Miya Lapana Saudi.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
So, who's the guy he's from the jack of TV show?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
This is Joshua Jackson, Victor Lebon.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
What was the TV shows at heart? Dawson's Creek. He's
on Creek, gave him a New York accent from Dawson's Creek.
I'm a boxer. And it's all not making sense to you.
But the love interest for the New Karate Kids?

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Correct?

Speaker 2 (04:59):
The girls dad own a pizza shop, and I thought
when they were together at the final tournament, the dad
the love interest, the mom, mister mister so's Jackie Chan
and Ralph Macha were They're all rooting them on and
trying to teach him stuff to coaches. This time, I
thought the mom was gonna like cook up with.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
The Maybe they will. I think it's the house.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
So the mom and dad ended up getting married. How
did the two ones down there? Their their their step
brothers steps.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
So maybe they just have a long day relationship like
we were engaged like for three years.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Dude, Oh my god, what is.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
That movie called? Uh?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Taking it for a long time.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
I forget the name of it. So long were they
going to the river and they fight and then they
shoot somebody and rends in it.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Uh are you talking about Cannonball Run?

Speaker 2 (05:48):
No? Okay, So basically the Hillbillies and stuff like that
and they shoot them back in the day. Yeah, And
I'm going a long way for you. I was gonna
say it's white trash hung one anyway?

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Are you excited about this summer because other movies coming out?

birthday party with all his friends from school. But we
went to the movies that are on broll on his buddies.
Were you surprising the crowds for Friday night or a
movie through? Well, it seemed like nineteen ninety So.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Our Sun also has his own podcast off on sacammy
Me Show, and one of the things we noted, he
stated he's thirteen years old. It happened that his adult brother,
Matteo buddies who are all twenty five were at the theater,
and then we're there.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
We're proactically fifty five.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
So three so three different generations seeing different things from
the Karate Kid to the original Karate Kid Kryder legends.
Everyone enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, it was good, but then but all but were
you surprised how crowded the theater was itself? Just the trial?

Speaker 1 (08:32):
No, That's why I'm like, let's hurry up to get
these tickets.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
Now, dude. If I got to be honest, I'm one
of those those rare individuals that likes movie hopping and
it's hard with you guys, is I like pain for
one movie And I'm like, hey, if I'm going to
be here, I ft topic thing.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
You're going to be sponsored by Rigo or AMC Theater
anytime soon now.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
But since I have I have.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Natalina Natalina show.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Why is it always older brothers and sisters siblings because.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
That's how they say, yeah so.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
But we used to go like see like I don't know,
Independence Day and then we go in there and he goes, hey, man,
Marsa taxes on, let's go see it. There is my brother,
my old friend and my big brother go just go
down theater and see other things. But then we bring
our own food and riches. All did you bring the burrito?
And I buy three burritos because there were a jersey
or something, and they be in there and I get
him his burrito because you got hot sauce, and I'm like,

(09:24):
yes I do, and he'd go get the coke or
whatever like that. But yes, man, I missed. It's because
our sons there. If we want to go see that
movie that day and he wasn't with us, I'm gon o,
mission impossible. I would have gone seen Centers that day
or the accountant too, I want to see that, you know,
like you didn't like the first count.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
My throat hurts, But I have a trivia question for you.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Go ahead. What's your trivia question?

Speaker 3 (09:48):
In my throat? Is it anyway?

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Question? How much money I see if I skip them?
See how these movie theaters? The answer would be a lot?
Now go ahead?

Speaker 3 (09:55):
Where was okay?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
So this is the Burroughs aka New York City and Beijing.
Where was it actually filmed?

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Right?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
La, it was filmed and ready close Montreal, Quebec, Canada,
which I told you we need to go travel to.
So imagine what's going to happen if there are these tariffs.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
Well, he wanted to see your gain at us. They
want to do their own taxation for the movies.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Now I know it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
It is crazy, all right, So let's get it too Goofy,
just because it's a good transition, because my throat hurt's
really really bad. So I want a transition to Google.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Let's see what your imitation of Goofy is.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Hello there, my name's on AMV and welcome to your well.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Supposedly, there have been many reports of this famous person
who did not like him at all, and the specific
is is about a lot of things, like some of
the shorts were really criticized, like how to play Baseball,
how to sleep, a repetitive quote, dumb humor. He felt
the character without revealing who it is, yet didn't have

(10:55):
the same death or emotional Mickey or Donald. Thank you
for interrupting me. And some animators, however, love working on
Goofy because of the freedom to use more physical comedy.
And yes it was Walt Disney what to do this.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
What a goofball? So Goofy was inspired by a glorified
village idiot. I am not kidding you. Back in nineteen
thirty one, a former circus former named Pinito Covid was
performing in Pursuing a depression of a village knitwid from
his hometown of Jacksonville, Oregon. Walt Disney was watching this
and he was tickled by the impression that he forced

(11:32):
the actor into recording booth and asked him perform some
more memorizing saints like He was later shaped into a
character named Dipputy Dog. You can see some of the cartoons.
It's long, he's wearn't a beard, who is shown as old,
dim witted man with a white beard, said the Beard
after appearing anfil Schwartz, Walt wanted his workers devise a

(11:52):
new character a company Mckeye and Donald. But legendary amateur
Art Babbitt saw potential on Dipputy Dog and asked Walt
if he could workshop character is something more substantial. An
interview with John Camaker and the anime explained Goofy was
originally a short stock character in mob scenes, so nobody
attempted in doing Anthey with him. So I can't say

(12:13):
that created Goofy, but I was the first that made
him the character, like the character that was sorts of possibilities,
and of course, like MV said, he got all those
movies he did, like if you ever wanted to learn
how to fish fishing with Goofy and they would chill
there and he would mess up. Now Walt came out,
this movie came out snow white, and he said, all

(12:35):
these shorts are looking we want an award for this one.
So he wanted everything just look perfect and good. Because
there was another company across the lots in la in
Over in Burbank by the name of Warner Brothers. They
did their merry melodies and they did all their stupid
things where the anvil fall on their head, and they
were He goes, I don't want to be like that.
Waltaz is more sophycisticated. Did I say they're right physisticated?

(12:58):
They hope.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Yeah, but some but just don't want that, Like I
know you're gonna be like, where is she coming with this?
Like red Sonya and the movie is coming back? No one,
no one's thing about Oscar winning red Sonya. He didn't
know this, did you.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Yeah. But even if they let's say they remade red Sonya,
they look at it like, hey, this was messed up
first time. Let's make it right this time, so you
know what I mean. But to get back to Goofy,
Walt wanted to act him so many times, and they
kept saying, please, please keep them, please keep on keep them.
So if you notice in all the cartoons, he's always
a side character and Walt, who thank god, never got

(13:35):
rid of him, and they managed to just triumph his
way through. It wasn't till the nineties that Goofy was
actually got his fame.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
And you know what that was, right, It was when
he played those movies.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
But a Goofy movie with his son Max, A lot
of stuff.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Yeah, He's been around since the nineteen thirty and nineteen fourth.
He debuted it in nineteen thirty two as Dippy Dog
in the Mickey Review.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
Yep, so I just want to throw it out there.
Salutes off to you Goofy. And the only reason I
say this is he's got He's celebrated. Goofy's more celebrated
than in the Walt Disney, Disneyland and Disney World. Do
these theme nights from you know, May the Fourth Be
with You, Pride Night, Lover's Night, and they do nineties Night,
Nineties Night. Goofy is all over the place, especially with

(14:22):
they got Live Wire, they got Max and Goofy. Because
this movie was just so big And I told both
am Vy and Aaron Michael my son, sit down, I
want you guys to watch a Goofy movie. And what
did you think after you watched it?

Speaker 1 (14:35):
No, I mean, I know Aaron Michael really enjoyed it.
I mean the most popular one is the extremely Goofy
movie in two thousand one. They I'm surprised because each
of the main characters have such things. They don't have
a Goofy Night. Can you imagine all the cosplay for that?
Donald knight.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
I mean, that's just something I just think they should go.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I k they should just character night. Yeah, all right,
we're gonna jump up a little bit because jump over
a little bit because everybody won. And I have been
wondering because what are the Stranger Things? The kids there?
What are they married already? Forty? Yeah, they're so old
and it's like taking forever.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
So and it's gonna take. Okay, now, please let them
know how much forever you'renna take. Because the new release
will have a three part section coming out New Year's Eve.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
So I'm gonna play the snippet. You're just gonna hear
the sound. If you want to check it out, it's
on our website, your nerd side dot com. Here's the trailer.
We'll let you guys look to it right now. So
as a new trailer, this came out after the Cliffhanger
season four finale. Do you guys even remember what happened
in season four? What was the cliffhanger?

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Basically, the world from Stranger Things has come above, which.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Looks like Hell's opening up below.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
So this is what they said. Netflix tendem twenty twenty
five event, which will be watched below. We just watched
the announce your release date the Fall Winter so this
I'll go November twentieth for Voyne one VNE two, falling
shortly on Christmas, and the final finalees released on New
Year's Eve. Perfect days to do it, perfect things for

(16:10):
people to stay in and watch it. But I don't
know if it's gonna get the numbers. I think it
will still. It looks like it's popular. But all those
pop ups used to have all over the place, like
Stranger Things, the walk through Stranger Things store that opened up.
They even had in Vegas Keep Him pop ups. I
don't know if they're going to be able to do
that kind of you know, is that popular as it

(16:32):
was to more? Because do you see any stuff in there?
The only thing I have right now, and thank you
for getting it. She bought me this so long, the
Stranger Things lego set, which is worth eight hundred and
nine hundred dollars, Thank you so much. Didn't take it
out of the box, Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yeah, all the way. Brought it from New York Lego
store in New York. This is pretty dope, dad.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah they're expensive though, Wow.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
They are expensive.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
The factory is although outlets. There's no factory outlet for
the Legos. Huh.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I have not researched that I could find out.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Because if they had to open house, if they had
an open box Lego set, it would be hard to
put together because the piece and piece is missing because
it's open to box. Do you ever think about that, well,
I mean they sell cheaper if you missing pieces. It
was a death Star and it was missing pieces, How
are you talking about your own experience? No, you could
but to think about this. If there was an open
box death Star and there's missing pieces, I'd still buy

(17:19):
it because you could just say it's the Death Star
for Return of the Jedi because it's not finished built.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
Well, I want to go to Chesterfield County, Virginia. It
is right now a temporary packaging facility, but the place
has plans of one billion dollars in building a one
point seven million square foot carbon neutral factory in Meadowville
Technology Park, so to address all their energy needs. So

(17:48):
some jobs being made by Lego here in the.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
East coast of the US of As.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
I want to visit that one day.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
And then you're talking about the age some of the
younger actors like Justin Henderson. They were born in two
thousand and two, same age as my son Andre, who
is twenty three. So yeah, and Andre's are a graduate
from college. And then even the older actors, the older
brother and sister, my my min they would be way

(18:17):
done with college because the last time we saw them,
they're supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
How does it work with these actors they keep on
a retainer?

Speaker 3 (18:24):
I think you were wearing a retainer?

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Oh do you know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (18:26):
Like, I'm sure there's a contract.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
I know that, but they're blown through the money or
something like that. Like I know she's doing other movies.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
She did her other movies, but jo Milly Brown, Bobby Brown.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
I'm always curious, like, Oh, we're gonna take care of
because we need you to do a press release for this.
You're gonna get paid for this? Or do they pay
him straight? It's all based on the contract, I know,
But I'm just curious they have retainers?

Speaker 3 (18:46):
No, they do?

Speaker 1 (18:46):
And then how do you feel about now? How Finn
wolf Hard who plays the actor who got a really harder,
he's Mike Wheeler. He was pretty much the star of
the show where as he was growing up and going
through puberty.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
He had a hard time due last season.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Well you're talking about the gawky gooky. Yeah, yeah, that's
called growing up. He was cid in the beginning.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
And then have you seen recent pictures of him?

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Why you got worse?

Speaker 3 (19:10):
I don't think so. He's just skinny, that's all here.
Well look at it.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
So if you look at I am dr I mean
you just look at any recent pictures or Instagram on there.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
He's okay, he's okay. I mean I wouldn't dat him,
but I don't think you date me. I'm just not
his cup of tea. Let's get a quick interview that
we're going to come back and we're to talk about
why people are so mad that a certain female is
going to be coming to Hollywood in a marveling movie.
And then I want to cover the last of us.
Tony Oliver, now he is from Robotech, many other things,

(19:42):
got a chance to stand up and walk with him. So,
ladies and gentlemen, I want to get this right. I
am talking to the world famous Tony Oliver. You're what celebworks.
Congratulations working with him? You're next? Yeah, how long you've
been with them? Now a little over a year at
this point, how do you like these cons? Oh, it's great.
I've been doing cons for almost twenty years now, but
now you're officially like represented by someone that's gonna take
you someplace. Different books.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
Yeah, yeah, the kinds of concert Celebrits are taking me
or are much larger. They're they're more pop oriented, more
fan fan oriented, a little less just pure anime. And
it's a different it's a different group and it's it's
been really good and.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
So so Tony, what's your social media handle? I want
everyone who's listening to social media? What is it at?

Speaker 4 (20:19):
Tony Oliver two seven five? That's Instagram?

Speaker 3 (20:21):
Did this?

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Somebody else? Take the other Tony Oliver. There's a bunch
of Tony sons a bit. I can't eat.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
My website's Tony Oliver Entertainment because I couldn't use Tony Oliver.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Wait, it's not the foreign star right, No, no, there's
no no, no, that's it's no no, that's mine.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
It's a British professor of music, was written a bunch
of books. Oh wow, And in fact on his website
it was funny when I first started looking up he
had on the bottom of his website I'm not the
Tony Oliver from Robotech.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Yeah, it's so weird, he says, Robotech. So in my house,
I have Robotech, the SDF one, I have all the
ships everything all over the place. And uh, Rick Hunter
was like my favorite favorite. He's in one the Macross saga. Yeah,
and you're probably I'm not talking stupid, right you?

Speaker 4 (21:04):
No? No, no, I know.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Sometimes I talk to people and they're like, what the
hell is he talking about? So the Nerds wasn't even
the next generation I didn't like. So were you involved?
And I'm this is for myself. There was the movie
when j he turns into a general. Did they bring
you back the voice out of lead? Yeah? For the
Shadow Chronicles. Yes, it was so out of order everything.
It was a weird thing because I also had to
audition for it, which was strange. Why I don't know,
I don't know, but they made me auditioned. So what

(21:26):
was the voice you used for that?

Speaker 4 (21:27):
For Rick? It was basically my voice, but because because
Rick was here, Rick was kind of up here and
a little younger, so I just dropped it into my
chest and been and played my own.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
Age because she's now my age. Yeah, or actually I'm
older than him, and I hated min Meg. I couldn't swell. Yeah,
I like Lisa Fox, but he didn't mind Meg. I'm
sure I'm not. You still understand what I'm talking about, right, Yes? Yeah, okay,
because a lot of people, my buddies are all, what
the hell are you talking about?

Speaker 4 (21:50):
Dad? Well, these are all characters off of Roe Attack. Yeah,
it's it's the love triangle between then May and Lisa Hayes.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Actually at Lisa Hayes Yes, eighty seven, eighty eight, eighty nine, nineties.
You probably know what we're talking about. So let's start back.
Are you an actor or voice actor? What a minute?

Speaker 4 (22:03):
I started as an actor and what predominantly doing stage work.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
I get a lot of musicals. I was a singer.
I tried to get in the music business for a while,
and that's where I began.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
I was I was auditioning for lots, I was up
for Big Stuff, I was up for Pony Boy and
The Outsiders.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
I was. I was at zoetrope O auditioning again. So
if we told people are younger, this what they hell
they know we talked about we do is it's still
it's still a Rebels film. It's still and they still
make I remember in classics, to make us have to
read that book. Probably. Yeah, yeah, it's great. The Outsiders Fantasy.
You went for pony Boy. I was up for it.

Speaker 4 (22:34):
I got way you would have been part of that
rat pack. I got one call back and then they
went with celebrities.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
But anyway, you're a celebrity. You were, I wasn't there.
So I did that. I was up for a bunch
of stuff and then but I couldn't land anything. Wow.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
And then my very first voiceover audition I went to
I lied and told him I had a little experience
and uh, and I landed a small part in a
French film, a background in a French film.

Speaker 2 (22:56):
This is not a fluff piece, right, no, no, no no.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
This was over Baldy's on phones. It's actually one on
Academy and that year, so you did these. So I
did English stuff with that, but as a background, just
little background horses. And they liked what I did and
they yanked me out of that auditioned me for something
and it turned out to be a feature film called
The Seprince in the Fire Child, which is.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
The anime, and I got the lead.

Speaker 4 (23:13):
Congratulations and then that ended up on television, and about
twelve months later, I get a phone call or you
the guy that did seprience in the Fire Child.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
I said, yes, well come in and we have something
for your audition for and that was Robotech.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
For my first three voiceover auditions, I landed major roles,
which told me never to go after camera again.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Good. So, did you think Robotech was going to be
as big in the eighties? He was freaking huge. No,
I didn't. I thought.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
First of all, I had I had quit acting at
that point, I had a second child. I need to
make money, so I'd gone to work doing sales at
a radio station in central California. And uh, and I
was commuting down You sound like me. I was commuting
down to La to do the part because I wasn't
I finally got a part.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
I wasn't gonna give it up, but I figured this
was going to be my last part ever. So yeah,
because I so, and then it just it just skyrock
and it turned into a career. So what is the
one you're doing most recently? That's just regular.

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Currently, I'm not doing a lot of voice acting at
the moment. I just finished ultraman arc. So I'm doing
a small part in Ultraman Arc. It's not the animated version,
it's the live action version. But the live action version.
The guy I'm playing had played originally the Red Ranger
and Jew Rangers.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Back in the day.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Oh shoot, they thought it'd be funny if they put
my voice on his face.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
So congratulations to this stuff.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
And I direct a lot. I'm directing Babelade currently. I
directed Scott Pilgrim takes Off. Last year I directed I
direct It's a Music Korra Family Mission, Musicora Family and
Undead Unluck for Hulu.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
You're doing a lot, a lot, all right. What's your
social media handle again? At Tony Oliver two seven to five. So,
Tony Oliver, I don't want to bug you anymore because
you got a guy here to want to sign stuff
like crazy. You got this person. Look at your line.
You got like one too. You got eighty two people
leading for you. You are huge, my friend. This is
what Look at this. Look at it. Everybody's share you, Tony, Tony, Tony,

(24:54):
you amazing. Two people can do that much to sound
It's amazing. Tell me just do their underwell off here.
And I think it was my brothers, No I'm kidding.
Thank you for joining me, man. I love it so
Tony Oliver, if you want to catch more of his
stuff anything anything like, just not him. But like all
our interviews go to your nerd side dot com and
our interviews and all like good stuff, and it's all
up there, all right. So I got to tell you

(25:16):
the Last of Us Season one went off like Gangbusters.
I loved it. We had our mandalorin on there. Everything
was good. This one. They pulled a Glen on us
and they killed them off real fast in like the
third episode. And he has his appearances and flashbacks stuff
like that. But first that hurt, and then all of
a sudden it just dragged on a little bit. Season two,
it just you know. And on top of that, I

(25:37):
have to hear a MV and not only her, but
I'm talking to my buddies and they're like, man, she's
a bitch, and I'm like, that's what AMV said.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
She's a bit. So she is bella Ramsay because we
look at how Joel is it Joel Joel who has
done so much for her truly loves her. And then
what makes it worse They do a flashback of how
their releaseship developed as she was growing up from sixteen

(26:10):
to eighteen or to nineteen, I should say, and he's
so sweet, loving, and she sees the care and he
just pours in every I mean, she is his life
and does everything else let's see on him and then
gets into teenager mode. But I don't know how many
parents go show and actually a lot of parents say

(26:31):
they'll die for them. He actually dies and kills everyone
else for her and she. I mean, there's one part
where she just outed him in a terrible way. So
there's a lot of mixed reviews that are out there.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
So this season, after four episodes, they said viewership dropped
by fifty percent from the season before. I mean, it
was like, oh, they always waiting to see it, and
then boom, nobody came back. And I gotta be honest,
we didn't I'm back at all. And I was like,
and then I finished everything. I finished my end or
I even finished Star Wars, the Tales of the Dark Empire.

(27:08):
There's something else I was watching and I finished that.
Then I was like, Okay, there's nothing else on, We're
going to watch this. And then the season finale ended
with like it should be next week, and I was like,
I don't know, it just felt like pieces were just
missing it.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Well, let's call it emotion.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
So when pregnant Mel was killed accidentally, there's no emotional
build up for you to care for some of these
characters because all you know is they killed Joel. We
don't know if they're trying to work hard to save
society or the world. I'm just dealing with the leader.

(27:42):
We don't have any idea, Like we were told that
Abby is going to be this great new leader, but
we don't know why is everyone listening to her. You
don't even get a witness of large group of people
listening to her as well. The hard part that a
lot of people are having about is the rup adaption
Choices where there's a scene where Betsy, not Betsy Bell's partner,

(28:11):
finds out why Joel went back and killed what all
this came about, And it was a very heightened emotional
impact where she just quickly changed her mind of of
her emotion. You see that she says like, I want
to go back home because like, why am I doing this?
Like it seemed like it was an eye for eye.

(28:32):
So it's okay because basically Abby's dad was the only
doctor who supposed they could find the cure.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Yeah, one person for the world.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
I know.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
So so here's here's the next part that makes it
even worse for the show. So the other one, season
one ended and they said we're greenlit. Is they got
it done real fast and I was excited. So they
usually were filming season two when season one was still lying.
We'll see two is on and then if fielming season
three and they said film me won't begin until summer. However,

(29:06):
likely lengthy production process. It will be the post production
air thing to get the highest qualities, gonna take forever.
That means you probably won't get season three, likely debut
until late twenty twenty six or twenty twenty seven. And
that really hurts a TV series, everybody says, especially with this,
since ratings drop, people just lose interest in it, like,

(29:27):
oh yeah, I remember that that's the one that wasn't
that great. I'll see whatever. Now the proof of the
pudding is, we're gonna see you exactly what I have
stranger things. So this has been a while, dude, So
we're gonna see what happens to that I don't know.

Speaker 1 (29:40):
And then what was the name of the character who
died spoiler alert at the end, because I think a
lot of fans are really upset the really cute guy
who'd just your father.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
I heard the father of the dude that's say that
was the word. You guys are killing off more people
than you should. This is TV, this is not real life, dude,
Come on on, man, I forgot his name. Well, Joe,
let's call him Joe too.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
Well, basically he seemed like a Joel too. He was
like a leader. He cared.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
He went back for Ellie because that's what type of
guy he was, even though he voted against her doing that,
and he just wanted to take care of his kids.
He was fine, and he was fine.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
He saved them. He saved them. If you're gonna see
the series, watch it. Is it the best? No, it's
not as good as two and it veers off way
from the video game now, so if you're a fan
of the video game, you'll love it. I was a
fan of The Walking Dead, but I read the comic
books first because an VI goes. Somebody said, this person said,
so I got older combooks that are worth a lot
of money just by luck from this lady's sitting right

(30:44):
behind me, and uh, she got me into it. But
the com books went really close to it, and then
it veered off later on. It just because they wanted something.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
And the person's name is Jess.

Speaker 2 (30:53):
Yess, Jess, yes, Jess.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
And despite that.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
And he was and he was so cool in so
many ways besides being attractive and leader, but he was
and when he found out that Dina was carrying his.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Baby, he didn't care about Ellie.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
And Dina having a relationship because he goes, I'll never
have that type of love with her.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
He was.

Speaker 3 (31:15):
He made it so beautifully respectful.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I just all I kept looking at was this lady.
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with him having a
lesbian relationship. Has nothing to do with that. I just
don't have this bregnant girl want to be. This girl
who's so immature and all over the place, wants to
go kill somebody. Puts her best friend after odds ke's
pushing through the rain. She's shone the leg of the arrow,
but she takes off on her to go find somebody

(31:39):
else to kill her. I'm like, and gets on a boat.
Remember all that, And I'm like, get your priorities straight. Dude,
your friend needs you more than you got to get
revenge for somebody good.

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Well that's the issue. Like, so that's not love, that's selfishness.
So not only for Dina, but Dina and the baby.
And Dina allows him. She doesn't like, I'm gonna go back.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
We're not gonna run any for you. Just watched the
Last of Us. You want to, but I'm telling you
the cliffhanger the other season, I was like, what the
hell is this? Look like you should be on this
continuing next week? All right? Nowther thing we saw in
the movie theaters, Yes, we saw the preview for Superman
looks great, We've already seen it's a repeat again. But
Fantastic Four keeps showing up in theaters. Now. There are
a lot of controversies spark controversy on this. The silver Surfer.

(32:22):
Isn't it the silver Surfer? Why? Because this silver surfer
has boobies, Yes, silver boobies. It's a female. I don't care.
If she's the male, I don't care. If she's a dog,
she's a chicken, I wouldn't care. But people are all
over you can't do that. You can't do that, You
can't do that. Why, Well, here's what the director's saying.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
And everybody's slipping out, that's not the real and I
don't know if they're backpedaling or whatever, but they go,
that's not the original or the faithful to the Marble
Cinema universe Silver Surfer.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
It's a different timeline, Silver Surfer. Let me see if
I can see what timeline it is. Hold on, I'm
gonna and just.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
To let everyone know, say La Ball originally was introduced
in Silver Surfer number one in nineteen sixty eight as
Narn Rudd's love interests and the Empress of Zenlaw, who
assumes the mantle of the Silver Surfer in an alternative
universe storyline.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
So hello, people, read your comic books before you comment.
If you're not sure, then you need to read sure go.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Director Matt Shakman have been upfront about the fact Fantastic
four First Step takes by an alternate timeline. While most
entries the MC take place in Earth six one six
Reality also knows a secret timeline. The new film is
set in completely different units, with the Fantastic Four the
only superheroes. Presumably future projects. You'll see the version of
the Fantastic Four leap over the Sacred Timeline, leave behind

(33:48):
much of their world to join the larger MCU. Well
there you go.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Yeah, they say it's relatively obscure and may confuse audiences,
But people, how many of you guys saw Fantastic four
with the silver surfer in the in this silver screen?
Not that many, because that's why there wasn't another sequel
after that, So stop tripping.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
I like those old Fantastic four movies. I didn't like that.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
I didn't say the old one. Oh you're talking about
the one where Chris Evans was in the movie.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Uh, you make it so old. It wasn't that long ago.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
It was like two thousand and six seven, not it
long ago.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
That's cool, I mean, I mean, no one freaked out
too much about Captain Carter.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
I want to see a Captain Carter movie.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Well, you saw you see Mission Impossible.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
She still looks good in there. She looks good. There,
she looks good there. The only thing they got to
make her more bulk up, not her. They just gotta
make her look taller because she's supposed to be taller
than she is.

Speaker 3 (34:44):
Yeah, that's gonna be very hard to do, all right,
So next.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Week I want to cover Superman. We're going to hit
that because it's there are some and I'll get into this.
You guys can look it up. I have an article
all about it. There's some countries that are not going
to play Superman and with the original, and they're having
a lawsuit with the right the family of the Superman's
he's doing. We got to get all again again.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
I thought they took care of the underwear.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
No is it about the underwear? There was you like
the logo? We got to wrap up and I'm seeing
the signs right now. I'm looking at the record. Now,
do you like the new logo or no, it's a logo,
it's an older logo.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
But no, I mean I don't.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
There's a lot different Superman logos. It's it's it's all right.
I'm when I read in the comic book. So yes,
I did read the combook when that came out. I
was not too impressed. But I love the storyline.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
I thought it was interesting and it was engaging something different.
So while you wait for our next episode, is his
cellmate from That's.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Why he's in the cell. You know that he's giving
off that reaction of kryptonite. That's why he can't move.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
That's his cellmate. That guy was in Was he in?

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Oh yeah he wasn't Superman the animated series.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
Yes he was metamorphous. That's right, minimum metamorphous. So does
keep in tune of Superman Fantastic for a time. It's
like Avenger, Supergirl, Woman of Tomorrow's Spider Man, Brand New Day, Clayface, Avengers, Doomsday, Avengers,
Secret Wars. So all this coming out between twenty twenty
five twenty twenty seven, so subscribe and listen to us more.
And we're also on Instagram. Don't forget what's your YouTube channel?

(36:15):
Link your nerd side at your nerd side.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
