Speaker 1 (00:00):
So we're Halloweens are finally over, and I'm a little
thankful for that. I don't know, I'm a big fan
of Halloween, but I'm a little burnt out.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
On the show this week.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
If you're true nerd, the late great Ken Page, who
is the voice of Oogie Boogie, I, believe it or not,
I had a chance to talk to him, uh like
five days before he passed away. Unbelievable, Very honored to
be able to have the one last people last chance
to talk to him. And then of the course of the show,

(00:29):
some problems that Marvel's having before Doomsday, and it's five
years after all the movies, the movies, and then we're
talking about what if and all these new books coming
out and new shows, and of course we were at
a con this weekend. We're gonna talk about that, plus Agatha.
There's a lot of stuff talking about show. We're gonna
go right back. Let's knock out Agatha and let's knock

(00:50):
out the Penguin because we haven't done much of that.
We gotta give some DC love, not Daily City, but
DC Comics, Detective Comics. So start the show. Welcome where
once a year sci Fi buffs take their lips off
the barrel of a loaded gun, and spend half a
day adjusting their eyes to sunlight.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
You want to see a comic book with pregnant zombie nuns.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
He's psychotic nerds.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
What a bunch of freaking nerds?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Nerdyd your personality work. I'm not full of the popular quick.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
That was kind of a lonely nerd in high school.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I started a quilt, I did yoga twice a week,
were flip flops in public? I'm just oh yeah, So Penguin,
where do we begin with that? Jeez? I thought it

(01:41):
was gonna be another DC show that was gonna go eh,
and then all of a sudden, it just my head
just exploded.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Colin Farrows is a brand new man in so many
ways to the Penguin.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Did you think it was gonna go in that direction
even from what the movie had? Well?

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Are we gonna just give a quick recap of what's
happening with the penguin, Like, this is not the Penguin
of Danny DeVito, No, this is the this.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Is the Penguin of the Sopranos. That's exactly what it is.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Yeah, So we have Colin fair Christine Melotti, a Ramsey Felice,
good job, and who can't love Clancy Brown? But is
Clancy Brown supposed to be Italian in this? I don't know,
but so many different actors, even Mark Strong, who is
in Carmei Falcone. Oh my god, So there's this big rivalry.

(02:35):
You're exactly right by the sopranos of the Falcones versus
the savatours and old mobster like and then we have
this kid.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
To be honest, yes, for a mobster like in the
Batman world and the way the beat how Gotham City
was portrayed in it, it should be highly god it
should be highly mafia like touched. And they were doing
the right thing with the ben Affleck Batman, with the Joker,

(03:06):
the way he was set up with Jared Leto, I mean,
that's how jokers should have been more of a gangster crazy.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Well, this is the thing is you have to have
the right stare. So if you go some blogs out there,
there are some amer saying the Penguin Show is pretty
pointless because they talk about like Batman quote, he's going
to kick his ass again and throw him into the
black Gate, you know. And then they also there's some
comments that people say this is breaking back. Stop comparing

(03:33):
things to other things and just take it for what
it is.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
The show's great is.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
This is not supposed to. I mean, this is taking
a whole new look of Batman. So you know when
I saw the new Batman movie, which I have no expectations,
no comparison. Yes, Christian Bale did a great job. Now
we're doing a different lineup. But I will be honest
after you get over Colin fair who's doing an amazing job.

(04:01):
I think the actress, I don't know, would you consider
her a villain or not? From the Penguin? Do you
think that the young lady Christine Malodi who plays Sophia Facon,
is she is she the one that steals the show
at the end? I don't know it to see me

(04:21):
at the end of the series already happened.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
I haven't seen the last episode.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I saw it without you.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, I have not seen the final season. I haven't
seen him again.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Up to what you've seen. Who steals the show?

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Colin Ferrell.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Colin Ferrell to Melin Ferrell, you feel sorry for him?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
No, I feel like he's just a He's smart, he's
very good, very lucky.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Too.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Yeah, there's he's very smart. And then you know, you
wonder if his mom, who has dementia of the penguin,
is holding him back or not holding him back. You know,
I think that's a question that's out there. But there's
some great actors, Theo Rossi who plays doctor Julian Rush. Yeah,

(05:06):
you could tell like this is just gonna build and build.
So it's enjoying.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
And remember this the penguin is in the Robert Pattison world. Yes,
so that's how he started with it, and him as
Batman again, I'm on the I'm still on the fence,
and he doesn't make an appearance. Does he make an appearance?

Speaker 3 (05:26):
No, no, no, no, Batman does not show up by me.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Remember he's still and he's still knew too, right, yeah,
he still knew and people were just discovering him. I'm
sorry they erupt you, but.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
You did not interrupt me. But uh yeah. So it's
if you want Sopranos and Batman and a prequel, there
you go, and Ladies in the House if you want
some ladies who are not like help me type of story,
this is a great show as well too.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
All right, next one Agatha all Along, which in the beginning,
she fell asleep.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I was, I did. It was low for me.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
It was slow in the beginning, but that Sally set
it up. You don't know what's going on. Stuff. I
freaking love it. The series is over a lot of
into windows about sexuality. But again I said, like this,
if I lived over two hundred years and my wife
died to me or something like that, I probably, I
don't know. Over two hundred years, you have to try

(06:26):
something new because you get bored. Well, that's all I
got to say.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
I don't know. But she was in love with death.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
If I ruin it for anybody, and Banos was too,
so would it be Agatha against Thanos? Who knows? Right?
That's based on the comic book series. For those to realize,
it's all witchcraft.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
If you want to know, it's all witchcraft. Everything's witchcraft.
And spoiler that you find out the whole thing was
the son's one of the sons of.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Joe Locke, who plays the team the Star Actilly.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
The Scarlet, which is sign soul leaves and goes into
another body of a kid who was in the outside
of the city from the scarlet. What was the name
of the show her show.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
One division Division. Yeah, so basically outside of there, there's
a Westview East View. He steals the body of kids,
so their their their essence, their spirit is around and
spoiler alert, he does find Tommy because he extracts him
and finds him a body. It was kind of sad though,

(07:36):
because he goes he's going to go into a family
that does not love him. He's going to be all alone.
He's literally surrounded by bullies because this other kid that
he takes the body from is being killed by bullies
by being drowned. So he's going to resurrect around bullies
and well he'll have his Speeedzer. Hopefully he'll use his

(07:58):
speezer speed. But how how do you feel about Jennifer
Kale being one of the only witches besides Agatha, well, no,
really being the only witch that survives.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
It's great. They were trying to set her up for
something else in the future, or she's like an enemy
or something else. They're just trying to expand the Marvel universe.
So I think it's great. The more they have, the
more stories that come out. I don't know they're always
the best, but the more we have I like more
more than less.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
No, I know.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I mean I'm facized because I just get bored when
there's nothing else on Disney Plus and I'm like, why
are we paying for this and there's nothing on here?
I don't want to watch Leading in the Tramp twenty
times in the row.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
And I hear you. I think Disney Buzz doing a
great thing. And then I love how they had Lily
even though she's the eldest looking witch out there, played
by Patti Lupon, always a great actress. She was really
a great hero. We also had Alice Wu. They didn't
stereotype her. But it was sad that Alice Wu did die.

(09:02):
But Lady Deaf, which is played by Aubrey Plaza, she
goes like, I don't want to die. I'm not ready,
and you know she was the witch of protection, and
that's how it goes.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yep, And they all have their tombstones in the place,
the way and a lot of this. You probably I
don't understand any of this. What I meant you, what
I'm saying to do. Just go to Disney Plus. Just
watch it. It's not that bad. It's pretty good. You'll
like it. Is it on the top? Is it like
top ten. No, what would I rather? I'd rather watch
what If for something else than it. But it's I

(09:38):
liked it. I enjoyed it.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, and then supposedly Joe Locke, who plays Billy, was
also in Heartstopper TV series, So and that is a
great singer.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
We're going to be talking about him after our interview
because there he comes back into the fold again. And
I'll explain that a little bit real fast before we
get an interview. I wanted to talk about it. It has
been officially announced that the What If Season three will
premiere on streaming December twenty second, twenty twenty four. So

(10:11):
I'm excited about that, which is the same day season
two premiered in twenty twenty three.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
So it looks exciting. Got some serious characters so on this.
Don't forget your friendly neighborhood spierman. But it's just right
after the New Year's.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
They said Red Guardian is going to be an episode.
That's about it. That's all I got, not too much
Black Widow, Shang Chi Moonnight, among other Sam Wilson Captain America.
It's a what if, so'll see what happens. But this
was just released. You want to see the video of
all the stuff that's released. They're giving you short shorts,

(10:49):
little snippets of it. They don't want to give way
too much because they already know think about audience for this.
But this leads into something else they have coming out,
which is going to be the following year is the
Zombies Marvel Zombi, which fall from What If. It was
so big and one of the biggest episodes was I
thought it was fantastic. They're gonna be starting a series,
the Marvel Zombies. It's just gonna be its own on

(11:11):
its own. They're gonna have Shang She Miss Marvel, voice
of Young Superhero Kate, Bishop, Red Guardian Again, Jim Wu,
Death Dealer, Hawkeye, Captain America, Abomination, the Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel,
these and they all appear. Most of them are going
to appear at Zombies. Don't think they're gonna be ready

(11:31):
to people, but those are their appearances in there.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
All right, I have a question, do you want me
to spoil season two for everybody?

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Well, you can spoil season two all you want, because
we're doing season three.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
Oh really, is there season three?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
This is what if? Season three?

Speaker 4 (11:46):
What?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (11:47):
You can Swell season two. All you want, We've already
seen it. Yeah, so we'll see. No, they're keeping a
tight lift.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
I really want to sure.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
I swear they're keeping a tight fit.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
Okay, but it looks at storms in it, am I right?

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yeah, that's right. I saw a picture of her. But fans,
this is what they say that you can check out
the trailer, which also your previews anticipated The Daredevil born
again Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man, which Aaron Michael my Son
is just dying to see. He really wants to see it,
all right, boy, the new Spider okay, a cartoon friend
the Neighborhood Spider Man. He's wearing his old outfit before

(12:21):
he mentioned.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Okay, but some characters for what If, thank you for
the correction season three that you're missing is also Moonnight,
Oscar Isaaca is coming back. And excuse me, Monica Rambo
I said that, really, Goliath, Billy Foster, I know, okay, right, Guardian,
I think you did say and then Winter Soldier you
did so the.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Good thing about this and I'm telling you, yeah, I'm
I'm a greedy little guy and I like my toys.
Since he's coming out again in the what's the name
of the Michelle movie. God, I just saw.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
I have no idea what you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Red Guardian. He's in a new movie, The Thunderbolts. Yeah,
and they're already moaning like crazy in the theaters. And
there's so many different ads for this. They've got to
release his shield eventually, because down the hallway we've got
we've got we've got Captain Carter, We've got uh what's

(13:14):
his names? Uh with the arms went to soldiers and soldiers,
and then we've got the Falcons.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
We have Captain America.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
That's a Falcon one. No, there's this. There's a Captain
American one that's a little older and the lines are
a little different. But I don't want it. What I'm
going to get and I'm trying to get from Disney,
I don't want to pay for it is the crack
shield that they're selling now the rest.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Of the world.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Here's the deal.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
They're charging the same price for the crack shield as
they are a regular shield. Now, don't you think they
should knock off some price there, because if it's cracked,
there's a big hunk missing it. They can take three
of those shield.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
It's just like the g I sell the funkal pop
and indented, and I'm like, shouldn't be cheaper than all
the rest?

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Yeah, in Fronco property was being in nineteen forty five,
and they don't do it again. Here's the same thing
I did when I was at the other con. I
don't went to the guy the the what you call it,
the SpongeBob one, the one with the pencil drawing one
because and I go up to the guy goes, I go,
how much is this? He goes, oh, this is fifty
five dollars, but I'll knock five dollars off for you

(14:20):
because they don't sell these anymore. So I went to
the Funkol website and it said right there, first edition
Funko nine ninety nine. Order it. And I went over.
The guy goes, will you lowered down anymore? He goes, no,
it's forty Five's most I'm going to say. I showed
it to him and I said, look, it's nine ninety goes, well,
if you get it, but that's not exactly the right one.

(14:40):
It came all right, exactly the right one.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
A venting person right now. But all I gotta say is,
you guys need to listen to me, because I just
realized today funk I told you.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
A while ago.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I don't know why Funko brought this up, but I
do know now what I told you to make sure
your interview Adam West, what happened out of the West
die the last week? I told Aaron Michael, go get
a Funko for U Boogie for him to sign, and
he said no.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
He's got to be Then he died.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
He got on a picture not the same thing he's
got on. But hey, listen, I really want to know.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I'm sure you got to picture of them.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
I don't know where it is though, uh huh, So listen,
I just want to say, I just listen to me.
But let's talk about what's coming up in twenty twenty
five because I'm getting excited because I don't want to
focus on Let's.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Get into this quick interview because you're running a little
later on the show that's going to welcome back to it. Okay,
let's go, ladies and gentlemen. Ken Page Mayor, actor nineteen
fifty four twenty twenty four, the official original voice of
Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas, every ride in there.
I was blessed, blessed that the other Disney employees go

(15:47):
let him. He wants to talk to you, wants to
talk to you, sit down for and I got to interview.
So here we go. Here's this Ken page Galaxy con
and I'm sitting there standing here in front of a
Ken page.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Do you have an amazing voice? Well, thank you, sir.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
I appreciate that you are a voice of somebody.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
This little kid my son's here might like you.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
I don't know, you think maybe, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
He's dressed up to you for three years in a row, serious,
three years the Black Winger. Yeah, how did this happen?
I mean, of course you got to do more than this,
but how did you get up being?

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Can we see boogie boogie?

Speaker 1 (16:17):
How is?

Speaker 4 (16:18):
It's a long story which we can't go into right now,
but it's wonderful to get to do it, and it's
more wonderful than it continues to.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Go from generation to generation, and it gets bigger every year.

Speaker 4 (16:29):
And we're think twenty five years ago, yes, none or more,
and I mean we're still going strong, bigger than ever.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
Actually, it can't be twenty five. How old are you?
Twenty three? Twenty six? Yeah, you're gorgeous looking gentlemen.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Look at that.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
It was not it was only what ten stuff like that.
But it's great that it keeps going and it's easy.
There's so many facets of it. That's the concerts we
do live the film live with orchestras and so for it.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
There's these And are.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
You coming out to those live performances? Do they have
you come out there? The one in el is it?
The one in Los Angeles Hollywood Bowl? You do the most?

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Yeah, you's so done. The Bank of California State. I
am in LA We've done a Barclay Center in Brooklyn.
We've done Glasgow, Dublin, Wembley in London. We're doing Mexico
then and on Halloween night died and back to Wimbley
at the top of December, Tokyo.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
And not to mention, I do work for Disney part time.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
You're lending your voice for every Halloween, new stuff, new promos.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
It's just an it's a full time job for you.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
It's what's an ongoing job for sure.

Speaker 2 (17:29):
I'm impressed. I love it. I'm honored if and I
am and I'm.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Very lucky to get the voice of the stuff I
get to do yeah, I want to get on my
knees and bow to you because you considered one of
the top ten gods out there voiceovers.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
You're great, so let me get this right.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
You also did the the what do you call it?

Speaker 2 (17:46):
You were the alligator too? Correct?

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Yes, and all dogs go to heaven Jesus. How what?

Speaker 1 (17:50):
How you? Who knows?

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Are they still casting you for.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
More stuff than you refuse?

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Or is no?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
No?

Speaker 4 (17:56):
Well, I mean you know, there's not a lot of
stuff to do that isn't a repeat, and when you.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Still have a unique voice that they say, hey, we're
in this ul last week.

Speaker 4 (18:04):
What you just thank Core Unfortunate Souls for D twenty three,
which is Ursula. So hey, so I'm ever branching out.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
And people are having you signed stuff non stopped correct
well often yes, yes, well, thank you.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
I love you.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Thank you for letting be here, ken page, the voice, Shogi, bogy,
many many things.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Where can they get you? Follow you on social media?
They want to know everything. I don't know somewhere out there.
Just put my name up.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
And it'll come on.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Thank you so much. I appreciate, thank you.

Speaker 1 (18:29):
We're gonna let that go for about two weeks and
then the Ken Page interview. We're going to post it
up on our SoundCloud up there. So thank you very much,
Ken Page for all you do and everything. Appreciating you
giving us your voice.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
It is time and sincerit. He was very sweet to
your son. So hopefully that he will kind of recall
that on his show on Fonseka Mommy and Me. But yeah,
that's a nice thing there was. It was interesting because
the voice of Jack Scale got mixed review from big
fans and stuff, but Oogie Boogie consistently wonderful. He loved

(19:06):
his life and he lived it as he loved it.
So thank you.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
You know, it's weird all through Halloween. I never watched
The Nightmare for Christmas. Never said it was on TV
so much. I never saw it once. I mean, I
watched horror movie.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
It's a Halloween movie or a Christmas I see this
as a Christmas man.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
I see it as a Halloween movie. I always did.
I've seen how I saw it during Halloween. That's what
I originally came out. Did you know that?

Speaker 3 (19:31):
And that's why I didn't?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Did you know? The Nightment for Christmas was originally filmed
one way and they changed it because Danny Elfman goes, oh,
this is this is not right. There's something wrong. So
Tim Burton can I put them? I always combined those
two all the time.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
They're just acause the merchant was the one who said it, stim.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Burton made it.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
But they just work so close together. Tim Burton makes
the movies and Danny Effman doesn't use.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
And also did the Beatle Juice Beetle Juice, right.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
He did the music for it, yea, yeah, yeah, yeah
he does.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
I think everyone knows Danny Elfman is the music guy.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
So at the end of Nightmare for Christmas, the original
ending was remember when he's cut up in the string
and they pull up and all the bugs fall out
of Oogie Boogie and he dies. Yeah, yeah, that wasn't
supposed to happen. It was the doctor who was in
the wheelchair. Yes, he was originally the bad guy and
wanted to take over Jack as he was jealous of
all the power he had stuff at that and he

(20:25):
wanted to be And they're like, I like that. That's
so they twitched it this way. He's just a bug
and put the doctor and then gave that thing and
I was like.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Oh, and you never really liked the Evil Scientists.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
No, and you could see it originally because they still
have like the the original drawings as they were doing it,
and then that was they were trying to do a
claim and he goes, nah, last minute, they just changed it.
And he goes, I don't like that. I like that.
That's a good that's a good way. They all right,
what is else's coming out in twenty twenty five? All right?
And all want to know? Should we have drum roll
for this drum roll play?

Speaker 3 (20:56):
We're gonna talk about it. Let's okay, your no, what
I want? Your ranking mother? Fveger, all right, Captain America,
Brave New World, February fourteen, twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
I hope I get that shield, that poster with the
shield that the whole holds right.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Okay them thunderbolts, May second, twenty twenty five. Notice there's
an asterisk. We should talk about that.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
I get the Red Guardian shoe.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
Been saying that for years and then the Fantastic four
July twenty fifth, twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
I own five T shirts and have four on it,
and I can finally be proud to wear it again.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
Oh My and Blade. November seventh, twenty five.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I just got news that's in definitely on hold.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
I wonder why?

Speaker 1 (21:37):
What's his name? What's Ryan Reynolds? Is a lot more
power than people think.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Oh my god, that man is so rich. Spider Man
beyond the Spider Verse to be determined.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
My morales is positively happening.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
Yeah, it was delayed from their rich and delay.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
And the New Spider Man with Tom holland, Wait, why.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
Are you spoiling this lineup? It's my your friendly neighborhood
Spider Man on January twenty second, twenty twenty five. A
new beginning for the night Crawler. This is a two
D animated series. And then Daredevil, Here you go, born
again March four, twenty five. What do you think about
Daredevil wearing a beard? Is any more detectable? Ironheart? Finally,

(22:18):
those combooks may come in handy and those phocos June fourth,
twenty twenty five. Yes, she's from the Black Panther Waconda
Forever and Ariary Williams return.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
We're gonna talk about her next too.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
She comes up too, And now I wonder how this
is gonna play out. Eyes of Wakanda August sixth, twenty
twenty five is animated Marvel Universe. The story will revolve
around different characters through various time frames, and I don't
know if.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
They're gonna have Are they gonna have what's his name,
the original Black Panther or no?

Speaker 3 (22:49):
On there only the only ok oh Okaya Dana Grua.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Yeah, look, I'm glad it's we're just moving on and they.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
Marvel well, it goes throughout the time Marvel Zombies October
twenty fifth, which you did mention already. So Robert Kirkman
is the writer for that. Wonder Man December twenty twenty
five release on Disney Plus.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
I hope it's done the way it should be done.
I've always liked wonder Man always.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
I never did I like ever it did.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
West Coast Avengers. I liked the West Coast Avengers. Nobody did.
West Coast Avengers was the knockoff of the Avengers, and
they were just in guess where they guess where they
went to where West Los Angeles. And the team captain
was I always thought was going to take over for
Captain America was Hawkeye.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Yeah, and then again you're going to talk more about
this Avengers Doomsday twenty twenty six, Spider Man home Coming
fourth twenty twenty sixth of July, and the Avengers Secret Wars. Okay,
help everyone know the difference between Secret Wars twenty twenty seven,
because there's a couple of those that people seven.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
It sucks. I don't like it. I never liked it.

Speaker 3 (24:03):
Okay, Well, what's it about.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
It's about an invasion, that's all it is. It's a
secret war, has nothing to do with the Beyonder should
be the Beyondreer.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
So Secret Awards is an invasion from whom.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
I don't remember.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
I read like two episodes and it was so this goals.
It just had. It was so poorly done. I didn't
like it.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
But it's interesting they still put Jonathan Majors as a
cast member. Now it's not from it's maybe an outdated one,
but for Secret Wars they still have them in there.
I don't know about that, but we have some great people.
Captain Marvel, Benedict Wong. I think he should be like

(24:44):
the new Stanley who you know, benedictu Wang when he
goes in there and just shows up.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah, I think that's actually pretty cool too.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
That's a great idea. You're welcome So there's an article
I read and this is from CBR. It was amazing.
It's comic book resources, which I g lot of stuff from.
Sometimes I want to say thank you those guys. Marvel's
an unexpected Avengers problem leading up to Doomsday. Of course,
Doomsday is the big one with uh, I was gonna
say Tony Stark, but with Robert Downey Junior is playing,

(25:16):
oh my god, how did I do this? Why do
I do this? Sometimes he is playing don't say it,
doctor Doom. Sheesus like, yeah, he's one of my favorite
anemy bad guys. The MCU has been known for having
to die go down a little bit with the quality
movies since they'd lost their main people Iron Man A
Captain America were like the backbone of the franchises, and

(25:38):
a lot of things that have totally like disappeared. And
of what we noticed you haven't even read about is
they've teased it so much Young Avengers and they're building
all this up and it's not happening right now, and
they think a lot of people are thinking that Miss
Marvel Kate Bishop at the end she was trying to.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Be is gonna be in a Vendors Secret Wars.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
I understand that, but they're not doing the young the
Young Avengers, and that's a big thing that that and
a lot of studio execs are saying that they they
thought this is gonna be good because the way times
are changing, and what they could learn from the other people,
how much more funnier, more intuitive. What's going on pop culture? Instagram?

(26:24):
Twitter again? Deadpoole did it with the ex girl that
was there. She was on her Twitter feed and he
was making fun about it and his movie Deadpool was hilarious.
They need a younger characters to get that next generation
of people coming. Because we think about it now, how
many years has the marvel have been going on? Now
with Captain America, iron Man, all them. Those kids are

(26:47):
growing up.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
Well right now with Secret War. So that's the latest one.
We have. Rary Williams is going to be here. That's young, right,
we have Miss Marvels. Young Americas is going to be there.
That's young.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
But they were supposed to have their own movie together,
so they're a little upset. These are just people on
social media, people review movies. Where is the Young Avengers
coming out? What's going to happen? Because there's a possibility,
and this is this is the thing I just read.
There's a possibility Young Avengers could play a major role
in Doomsday, a major role there. But there are no

(27:26):
announcement of Young Avengers films or series as of yet,
so as you're saying all that they might form in this,
but this is a big hole because people want to
know what the hell's happening with the younger Avengers.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
My only thing is like America, job is to I
don't know. She didn't seem that impressive, she didn't see
What about Miss Marvel, No, I liked her, she has
a spunky energy.

Speaker 1 (27:53):
What about Bishop Kate, Bishop.

Speaker 3 (27:55):
She's alright. I mean I know the actresses at all.
I've never really liked her.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
And there are so many that Billy is going to
be another Young Avengers.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Well yeah, well he is in the Young Avengers in
the common books there. Joe does have a great I mean,
Joe Locke has a very strong following considering he's only
been on two series. I think he did a singing
performance which is getting acquire a lot of popularity. He's
been on night shows already. But you are right right

(28:25):
now on Doomsday, the only people who are cast is
mister Fantastic Invisible Woman of Human Torch and the things,
so just Fantastic four. And yeah, I mean Joseph Quinn
is maybe the closest too young from the Stranger Things.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
And then they're also saying that so since this and
I read all these articles, these are speculations that, since
they haven't talked about the Young Avengers, which is a
big everybody wants to know where this is, is that
the Young Avengers might at the end of Doomsday be
introduced as saviors or lead up to Secret Wars, and

(29:04):
then that's when possibly the Thunderbolts will be introduced into
that too as saviors too. So these are two things
that come up. But they said that it's a big gamble,
this new Doomsday thing, and they're relying on Robert Downey
Junior to save the franchise. There's nothing wrong with the franchise.
I mean the franchise. Again. We talked about this with

(29:25):
the Star Wars movies and they're like, well, they're not flops,
but they're not making the money as the original ones dead,
you know what I mean, they want that original Star
Wars money. Is that they're not making the how do
I say The Iron Man, The Captain America, the thor
Money these movies, everybody's like, oh my god. And there's

(29:47):
these little endings where it's leading up to the Endgame
and Infinity War and the Infinity Saga. We didn't know
what it was, but they're they're they're scared, like are
these movies gonna cash in for those or.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
The Because if you look at the Disney movies, Kamala Khan,
who is Miss Marvel, is supposed to be the Young
Avengers leader. So she already has been seen to recruit recruit,
excuse me, Kate Bishop ak Hawke guy to join the
Young Avenger. So there has been a Ray talk and vision,

(30:22):
the new making a vision he would be seeking out
Billy and Tommy. So I think in the land of
Disney plus there will be an MCU Young Avenger. So
because right because Kate Bishop would say, yes, vision will
come out. They already talk about Cassie Lang, who will

(30:42):
be a k stature. Yeah right, yeah, yes, right from.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Oh that's right. And then we got Arnhart.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah she was initially rejected, but then she did become
one in two thousand and five. The conbucks. Now a
lot of people are really worried about Scar who's a
natural young Avenger. Addition, this is from She Hoped. Do
you remember that character.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
The one at the end. Yeah, that was just it
was just put together so bad.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Everything it was.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
He looked terrible.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
It was just a bad is that I don't know.
They really missed half fall. I had such high hope.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
I know, yes, so much for those comic books.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Oh, She Hoped, you killed it right? And of course
they they believe that as another Avenger coming out is
the one who was at the funeral and wasn't.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Yes, I don't think he's gonna come. I think America Chavis,
who was definitely because she would be considered the most powerful.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
But they just don't show her power. She doesn't realize
what power she was.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Now there is rumor. I don't know how you feel
about this. Who would you rather have that want to
be Tony Stark or the kid Loki. He's also to
be the wild card of being in there. He was
joined into wrong Young Avengers in the twenty thirteen Common
book series Knows Magic. But you're who you're talking about

(32:03):
is Harley Keener. The kid that plays it is gorgeous,
the older one. I don't know, but it would use
them eleven years of mc U history, so he's a
gifted engineer star Tech, but he's never was known in
comic book history being part of the Avengers. So I
mean Rary Williams. That would take her thunder because she's

(32:24):
supposed to be the successor of Iron Man. So I
don't think he should come out, But would Prince Chaka
how you say that from Black Panther.

Speaker 1 (32:35):
Prince chicatt Chakata no Chakana no Chicato.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
T Chala, Prince Challaa to take a hero row in there,
so that would be his introduction into Never and then
don't know. One thing I think it's definitely gonna happen
is Eli Bradley. He's AKA Patriot. There's rumors that he'll
get his grandfather's blood for blood transfusion. You saw him,

(33:03):
you remember him in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
He was actually part of the Young Members Aunt. What
about this with Chris Hems where allow his daughter India
from Love from Thor be part of that? Remember, she
has amazing powers that came in there. She has incredible

(33:24):
cosmic powers. She's never been affiliated. But what are your
thoughts about seeing her. Yeah, and also in love and
Thunder was astrod Axel. He could take MCU. So it's
I mean, there is a lot, right, I feel I
could be part of that. She was from Guards in
the Galaxy. She had I mean you saw her, she

(33:45):
had superhuman strength or ability. We had Miles Morales. I mean,
there's how many Halloween costumes you do have to have
until more happens with them. But there is a lot
of potential.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
But these kids show live action.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
Yeah, I don't think he needs to be an Invenger.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
All right, we need to wrap it up next week
more interviews. We need to talk about mouse Con. Thank
you so much for letting us come out to mouse Con.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
That was amazing.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
It was nice and intimate.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
I liked it.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
Right, you got you have actors for Peter.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Pan, Peter Pan, the voice of Peter Pan, the new one,
the new one for Aladdin White.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
What's there?

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Right?

Speaker 3 (34:23):
You had our authors, I mean sorry, not only authors,
excuse me, artists, right, and then a lot of merch
so very Disney, and they are in with East Bay.
They'll be in Bakersville. So if you go to mouse
kN go on there. And also you go on your
Instagram to your nerd side. Pansaka Mommy Mishaw also has

(34:44):
some information on there as well, so you can see
some images of some people who just love living and
celebrating live.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yeah, he's have a great week. We back next week.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
We got more interviews. I got it side if we're
going to do Star Trek for stick to Marvel because
we've got some interviews we haven't covered ye yet. I
love different people. Have a great week. We'll talk to
you next time.
