they're in the combooks here, did you read the nineteen
eighty six combook story arc, which is, like you said,
titled Daredevil Born Again?

This is the one where he teen Well, I do know,
so I read it just here and there. I didn't
read all. I know. He did team up with Captain America.
I watched. I had that episode that comic book. He
teamed up with him for a while, and I didn't
get to finish. No, I didn't get to finish everything falling.
Did you ever read it or did you fall about it?

Not? Really, I've not. I wasn't really into It's more
to Electra and so that Electra got me into Daredevil,
but I mean definitely it's not. I mean, Karen Page,
it was a heroin addict after doing a pornographic film. Yeah,
so I think this is definitely a different version. You know,

Foggy Nelson was a little bit more in this series,
but tell us a little bit more. Yeah, spoiler but
about Fist becoming mayor of the city.

So real fast forward get into that. I will talk
about that. But it was originally planned and I want
to talk about this. This is kind of interesting. Disney
was going to do a soft reboot of Daredevil. I've
read about this a while back, but they decided to
change their mind and actually do a continuation from the
Netflix series because it was such a big fan following.

So we probably could have lost a lot of the
actors and have been start over again, but they thought
about this going to keep it, so this is what
they said. Marvel Series ultimately changed their creative direction of
the series and continue where the previous series left off.
This is from Marvel. The Born Again run was essentially
season three of the Netflix show, but in this case,
born Again is and I wouln't call it a pun,

but it's kind of a nod to the turn of
the characters, and as a nod to both Fisk and
Daredevil or reborn in different interpretations in this but they're
not new so that's what it's.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
But isn't this really heavy and Christian symbolism, Like Daredevil
was very devoted Catholic, right, and that he was.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Born up in the comic book series, He's born up
a devote Catholic. He was in Hell's kitchen Catholic. His
dad was a boxer. He was brought up blind and
he did have all the chemicals that blinded him, and
his father took care of him, but he still prayed
from all.

but the way Disney filmed this is the people that
seemed intelligent and were smart and like he's a bad person.
The people that were like partying and not too smart, uneducated,

our first two series episodes, but I've got to say
this about it and for the Daredevil. Every time I
watch it, and yes, I've always been a fan of Daredevil,
but when I watch it, I get so into it.

see him in the costume as a superhero for I say,
a total of eight minutes less than that probably, and
that was in the first episode because he totally gave
it up because he wants to give it up because
Foggy passed away was killed by Bullseye. So he's all

new love interest in everything like that. Okay, so I'm

about it. But there was his new girlfriend or love

a little backstory. So if remember at Netflix, Fisk was
getting ready to marry Vanessa, which really in the com books,
he's uh fist when married her for a while series,

there's a lot of different versions out there. She dies,
she have a kid, blah blah blah. Anyway, not that
much in love with Vanessa, except this one was pretty interesting,
especially when born again. Anyway, So remember Echo, you forget
mentioning Echo. In the Echo series, Echo does something to
Fiss that changes him, puts him down to his knees.

So Echo was the miniseries, and this was focusing more
on the Native American Indian girl, and he was she
was just pissed to him. He killed his her brother
or somebody.

Yeah, I forgot. Yeah, there's so many series it's hard
to keep up with him. This is just like comic books.
Now mar Disney's making it like comic books, where it's
hard to keep up with all the different stories. So
be honest, and so let's go back. Do you remember
anything from season one of Netflix Daredevil.

The intro to it, the priest, the hand, Remember the hand? Yeah,
I mean I would just I mean it was a
little bit in there. I mean, like I really did
enjoy it. I did enjoy These are all.

Different people and different societies that were actually in the
comic book. Stick was his mentor that taught him how
to learn how to fight and taught them all the
ways of the the Shallon Priest, but it's a different
martial arts. He Tuk and the Hand was the the

So the interesting thing is, so Daredevil is blind and
then Maya who is Echo is deaf who by the way,

in the Hawkeye mini series that's where she's introduced and
she shoots Fisk in the face because she's learning a

but the message of it was is is this a
comeback of Fists doing better? Well? Unfortunately, Fist why had
different idea of coming back where she had this guy.

I've never heard of him again before and I've never
seen him. Was he in the older series?

the White Tiger. Not the White Tiger that you may
have known, but the White Tiger is in the com
books of the Marvel books. And this is a good
guy named as Hector. Thank you for bringing more diversity
into the TV's. There is a live action. He's been
in many different things. He's also did an appearance in

Black Panther as well. He wears a medallion that gives
him his or excuse me, a j tiger omulet amulet
omulate amulet that gives him not only psychological powers, but
physical powers. But he has to be careful so that
it doesn't become addictive. This is a guy who was

more about the combooks if he came out with his
own series in two thousand and seven, but he's like
scattered here and there throughout other series that we mentioned earlier.

into them, and you might it's a binge worthy, you know,
it's not if you have kids, not the best thing
to watch with kids.

I was sitting on the beach doing what actors do,
waiting for my pager to go off.

I had like a I'm not a doctor, I'm an actor,
you know. So I had my page that it went
off and it was a friend of mine of that, Well,
this isn't mean dinner, because obviously I like dinner.

So I got off the beach us a stand off.
I called him up on the phone, you know, back
when ten cents apiece, you know, And I called him.
He said, you got to go crash this audition. I said,
there's no way I would ever crash an edition. I'm
a professional.

And I got in the car. I drove downtown, found
a parking space, which is amazing, and then I caught
them walking out the doors. I was walking in. I said, hey,
can I read for this? And there was that moment
where he looked at his watch and he looked at
me and went, all right, come back in. Come on,
we're gonna set the camera up. You're an Italian plumber
from Brooklyn named Mario for this company called Nintendo, And
(22:34):
make up a voice. Make up a video game, because
we're going to have you talking to people live through
an automatic machine that's sort of like real time animation.
But we have no idea if it's going to work
or not. So make up a voice, make up a
video game, start talking. And when you went out of
things to say, that's your audition. And I thought, you know,
Italian plumber from Brooklyn, Hey, what do you want here?
I'm waking you. No, I'm make something more fun, So
(22:56):
I just buy good circumstances. I'd played Grimio in Taming
of the Shrew right here in San Jose, and I went,
and yeah, you see that, you guy ease And I thought,
make him younger, make him But I don't know anything
about video games. I heard action. I said, hey, let's
make a pizza bike together. I'm a Mario. Let's go
you know, yeah, and which I just made up food
until the tape ran out, But.

You didn't think it was a lead to have the
characters with the video game video.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
I had never heard of Mario, I had never heard
of Nintendo. It was just one of the luckiest, as
you say, luckiest man in the world.

father owned this company that was a competitor against Stark Industries,

powers and when they gave it to him, they didn't

they're in the combooks here, did you read the nineteen
eighty six combook story arc, which is, like you said,
titled Daredevil Born Again?

This is the one where he teen Well, I do know,
so I read it just here and there. I didn't
read all. I know. He did team up with Captain America.
I watched. I had that episode that comic book. He
teamed up with him for a while, and I didn't
get to finish. No, I didn't get to finish everything falling.
Did you ever read it or did you fall about it?

Not? Really, I've not. I wasn't really into It's more
to Electra and so that Electra got me into Daredevil,
but I mean definitely it's not. I mean, Karen Page,
it was a heroin addict after doing a pornographic film. Yeah,
so I think this is definitely a different version. You know,

Foggy Nelson was a little bit more in this series,
but tell us a little bit more. Yeah, spoiler but
about Fist becoming mayor of the city.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
So real fast forward get into that. I will talk
about that. But it was originally planned and I want
to talk about this. This is kind of interesting. Disney
was going to do a soft reboot of Daredevil. I've
read about this a while back, but they decided to
change their mind and actually do a continuation from the
Netflix series because it was such a big fan following.

So we probably could have lost a lot of the
actors and have been start over again, but they thought
about this going to keep it, so this is what
they said. Marvel Series ultimately changed their creative direction of
the series and continue where the previous series left off.
This is from Marvel. The Born Again run was essentially
season three of the Netflix show, but in this case,
born Again is and I wouln't call it a pun,

but it's kind of a nod to the turn of
the characters, and as a nod to both Fisk and
Daredevil or reborn in different interpretations in this but they're
not new so that's what it's.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
But isn't this really heavy and Christian symbolism, Like Daredevil
was very devoted Catholic, right, and that he was.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Born up in the comic book series, He's born up
a devote Catholic. He was in Hell's kitchen Catholic. His
dad was a boxer. He was brought up blind and
he did have all the chemicals that blinded him, and
his father took care of him, but he still prayed
from all.

Well, that's why when Fitz talks about being the mayor,
he says that he does believe in redemption. And what
was the other thing he said? He also believed in

see him in the costume as a superhero for I say,
a total of eight minutes less than that probably, and
that was in the first episode because he totally gave
it up because he wants to give it up because

new love interest in everything like that. Okay, so I'm

about it. But there was his new girlfriend or love

much in love with Vanessa, except this one was pretty interesting,
especially when born again. Anyway, So remember Echo, you forget
mentioning Echo. In the Echo series, Echo does something to
Fiss that changes him, puts him down to his knees.

So Echo was the miniseries, and this was focusing more
on the Native American Indian girl, and he was she
was just pissed to him. He killed his her brother
or somebody.

to keep up with him. This is just like comic books.
Now mar Disney's making it like comic books, where it's
hard to keep up with all the different stories. So

anything from season one of Netflix Daredevil.

The intro to it, the priest, the hand, Remember the hand? Yeah,
I mean I would just I mean it was a

comic book. Stick was his mentor that taught him how
to learn how to fight and taught them all the
ways of the the Shallon Priest, but it's a different
martial arts. He Tuk and the Hand was the the

out more and more into taking over all the society.
These are all different people. I forgot a lot of these,
and I thought they're gonna get recent.

So the interesting thing is, so Daredevil is blind and
then Maya who is Echo is deaf who by the way,
Fist did mentor when it was very little, and even
in the Hawkeye mini series that's where she's introduced and
she shoots Fisk in the face because she's learning a

but the message of it was is is this a
comeback of Fists doing better? Well? Unfortunately, Fist why had
different idea of coming back where she had this guy.

guy named as Hector. Thank you for bringing more diversity
into the TV's. There is a live action. He's been
in many different things. He's also did an appearance in

Black Panther as well. He wears a medallion that gives
him his or excuse me, a j tiger omulet amulet
omulate amulet that gives him not only psychological powers, but
physical powers. But he has to be careful so that
it doesn't become addictive. This is a guy who was

and then he got I was trying to help this
poor guy and unfortunately the guy beating him up were

it's not if you have kids, not the best thing

are coming to Earth.

that Dave Autista and Zoe Saldana are not ever coming back,

but we're gonna have Groot. Groot is coming back. He
is coming back, and I think they're gonna do something
with his own solo movie. He teased it at the
end of the Oscars. Is Vin Diesel is that Groot
is coming back and it's gonna be a live action
I don't know if it's something of him alone or
he's gonna be the Rocket, but he is coming back,
and the rest of the Guardians are going to be back,

and it is promised. This is affirmed. I've got affirm
it is affirmed, like one hundred and twenty percent. Star
Lord will be back in what format and what thing?
I don't know is still on Earth, but I don't know.

So, Charles, I interviewed you before. Yeah, being here and
my son's with me, he's working on the fresh See,
you were an amazing gentleman, not only just let's say lucky.

Yeah, you were the luckiest guy.

So we interviewed before. But how did this happen again?
You just went for in regular.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Oh I did? I just you know.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
I was sitting on the beach doing what actors do,
waiting for my pager to go off.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I had a page.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
I thought it was, you know, brand new and modern.
I had like a I'm not a doctor, I'm an actor,
you know. So I had my page that it went
off and it was a friend of mine of that, Well,
this isn't mean dinner, because obviously I like dinner.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
So I got off the beach us a stand off.
I called him up on the phone, you know, back
when ten cents apiece, you know, And I called him.
He said, you got to go crash this audition. I said,
there's no way I would ever crash an edition. I'm
a professional.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Where do I go?
Speaker 4 (22:12):
And I got in the car. I drove downtown, found
a parking space, which is amazing, and then I caught
them walking out the doors. I was walking in. I said, hey,
can I read for this? And there was that moment
where he looked at his watch and he looked at
me and went, all right, come back in. Come on,
we're gonna set the camera up. You're an Italian plumber
from Brooklyn named Mario for this company called Nintendo, And
(22:34):
make up a voice. Make up a video game, because
we're going to have you talking to people live through
an automatic machine that's sort of like real time animation.
But we have no idea if it's going to work
or not. So make up a voice, make up a
video game, start talking. And when you went out of
things to say, that's your audition. And I thought, you know,
Italian plumber from Brooklyn, Hey, what do you want here?
I'm waking you. No, I'm make something more fun, So
(22:56):
I just buy good circumstances. I'd played Grimio in Taming
of the Shrew right here in San Jose, and I went,
and yeah, you see that, you guy ease And I thought,
make him younger, make him But I don't know anything
about video games. I heard action. I said, hey, let's
make a pizza bike together. I'm a Mario. Let's go
you know, yeah, and which I just made up food
until the tape ran out, But.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
You didn't think it was a lead to have the
characters with the video game video.
Speaker 4 (23:19):
I had never heard of Mario, I had never heard
of Nintendo. It was just one of the luckiest, as
you say, luckiest man in the world.
Speaker 1 (23:25):

you need to be the spokesperson for this. How's you

Speaker 4 (23:33):

But for the whole thing about the fact they're a
little bit different, all right. And it's gonna be released
in uh we expected in June, they say. And it's
the same actor that played in Black Manta, so look
forward to that. So all I can tell you about
it right now, how is it going to be. They

haven't released if it's going to be good or bad
or no reviews. And they're not even teasing it yet.

No, no, no, there's a teaser that came out September
twenty fifth, twenty twenty four, so you do see a
little bit of that. Ben Kingsley's coming back. Oh yeah.
They have some great actors like Ed Harris as well too,
another Oscar Ques.

Just telling you. It's described as a behind the scenes
look at Hollywood and a character study of Simon Williams,
a superhero who is a side gig as an actor
and stuntman. So well that's all I got of it.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah, so there will be eight episodes for that for
those bingers that are out there, so you get time
that as well. The question is why are we bringing
in Why do you think they're bringing in wonder.

Man West Coast Avengers. I don't know.

Now, here's another one Superman fan who is stronger wonder
Man or Superman.

He said that wonder Man should have more power.

Okay and right, and he's stronger, faster, has a wider
range of powers and can fly and survive in space. Yes,
but no, no, they're saying that about Superman. But you
said wonder.

Wonder Man has all these He has a lot of
those same ones too, based on different uh the comic
books you read. But the power The thing is is
he doesn't even realize all the powers he has well.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
And he's also not considered a mutant, so how so
he had an industrial accident? Can you tell? Because you're
a big fan of wonder.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
I don't know how he got his powers. I knew
it was something happened like some industrial accident. I don't know,
I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
So just to let you know, for those of you
who may know that I am a Rogue fan, Uncanny
Avengers Volume one is where Rogue actually took some some
of Wonder Man's powers. Where ha ha ha ha. So
that so that's something that is kind of cool. What
is Wonder Man's weakness females and energy weaponry, So any

iconic energy being will be an issue for him as well.
So this has been an issue, especially with Scarlet Witch.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
So Simon Williams was the original Wonder Man. Yes, his
father owned this company that was a competitor against Stark Industries,
and then the Baron Zemo, well he got he was
trying to go against it and he got busted for
doing some embezzling because he's trying to save his dad's company.
So Baron Zemo said, hey, i'll help you get a

revenge against Stark. Long story short, they gave him some
powers and when they gave it to him, they didn't
realize how powerful he was. So he was a he
was a he was kind of a bad kind of guy,
and they used the pin particles were a lot of
the the formation. The powers he got from the pin particles,
and it did more. They expected him to fight the

Avengers and but they didn't. His powers went above that
because he's got so many powers. Let me go, here's
a click list. Superhero strength, speed of Jillie, stamina, reflexes,
iconic energy, psych uh, psychology, I don't know, hands, vision, hearing, manipulation,

going through his and he's still acting. You gotta get
it's hard. You got to give the guy props.

scared about that. But the release date for Happy Gilmore
two may have been quietly revealed in a Deadline article
from February thirteenth that went largely unnoticed for almost a month.
It mentioned that Netflix sequel will hit the streaming on

July twenty fifth. Of course, and Netflix hasn't officially like
confirmed that, but it's in there.
