play the game, get in there and play it. So

it started out as a stand up in Toronto. I
started out at the same club that my friend Jim

And I did do.

Some animation up up in jack, Canada in the nineteen
seventies with Garrett Morris, a Nelvada cartoon called Easter Fever
where we roast the Easter Bunny. I played Steve Martin
as a horse, Steve Martin.

can do Steve Martin's voice? I just did. No, I'm
so sorry, Okay, that's okay. And then Don Rickles is

But animation voiceovers was always good to me.

So I've been on over five hundred series and I'm
just really thrilled with that.

But it's just a because it's like winning the lottery eron,
but you get the twenty six annual payments in Steven
BELOVESI so and nothing. Nothing is worse for an actor
than to like make a chunk of money and then
never work again. I'm glad I've been working for thirty
five years.

hard on them. And by the time I'd finished listening

I just kept doing it in the car for like
a year, and you eventually it came. It became my

the Brain came along and I saw that face and

And you guys did revive it, But is it gonna
happen another season or they stopped?

No, we're done with three seasons on anim He acts
and there was a little bit of talk about a
Pinky in the Brain movie. But if they're you know,
once they killed Coyote, I know we didn't have a chance.

Really, it's the idea that I can disappear into a
character used to be. When I first started in the business,
I wanted to be that head snap guy that I
walked into the restaurant and we went, he's.

Here, he's the guy from the show, that thing that
I see.

And now it's like, no, let me have my anonymity
because I've had enough famous friends. Yeah, both you know,
people that I started out with who got pas overnight,
people that I've just befriended of And it's like, what
a pain in the ass to not be able to
finish your dinner in a restaurant.

People coming up to you.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
So I'm just glad to be the characters and to
do my you know, to do my thing and be
able to play like I'm not limited.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Yeah I can play. I can be on ten different
TV series in a single season. Yeah, but mostly you
have a talent most people can't. It is like you
can articulate your voice. You're gonna be a Ryshian or
you can actually needed my friend. But yeah, that's why
I say I idolize you because you think I only
do voiceovers for commercials, but you do voiceover cartoons. Was
is hard to get into. Thank you. But did you

start originally doing movies? Actor?

Or very first thing I ever did was a well,
it started out as a stand up in Toronto. I
started out at the same club that my friend Jim
Carrey started out. Yeah, and Howie Mandel Norm McDonald place
called Yuck Yuck's Comedy Caveo in Toronto.

And I did do.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Some animation up up in jack, Canada in the nineteen
seventies with Garrett Morris, a Nelvada cartoon called Easter Fever
where we roast the Easter Bunny. I played Steve Martin
as a horse, Steve Martin.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
I am so you all? Then President Harris, so you
can do Steve Martin's voice? I just did. No, I'm
so sorry, Okay, that's okay. And then Don Rickles is
a rattlesnake? Were you born that silly anyway? Gang? So
what do you do? Do you loose? Aneen? At the
time that was the first nineteen year as.

The seven now, no way, Yeah, you look good Webb

Okay, yeah, all right, thank you. That's very kind of

I'm you know, I started out there, moved to the States,
just did stand up, did a couple of TV things,
nothing big, guested on Facts of Life, yeah, you know,
did a movie, The Funny Farm.

But animation voiceovers was always good to me.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
So I've been on over five hundred series and I'm
just really thrilled with that.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Jesus.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
But it's just a because it's like winning the lottery eron,
but you get the twenty six annual payments in Steven
BELOVESI so and nothing. Nothing is worse for an actor
than to like make a chunk of money and then
never work again. I'm glad I've been working for thirty
five years.

You and your talented you should be working for more.

I was so fascinated with the depth that Orson that
his his disdain got to for these for these British
producers in their hubris until amount of micromanaged his syllables,

that I started out on their side and feeling sorry
for them that he went so so uh so so
hard on them. And by the time I'd finished listening
to it a bunch of times, No, he's right, he's right.
You don't hire Orson Wells and then tell him how
to talk, you know. And so I just got and the.

Silkiness and the texture of his voice.

I just kept doing it in the car for like
a year, and you eventually it came. It became my
It became my go to and its fan. Pinky in
the Brain came along and I saw that face and
I went Orson Welles was fitness and they were the
rest of it.

And you guys did revive it, But is it gonna
happen another season or they stopped?
Speaker 4 (17:40):
No, we're done with three seasons on anim He acts
and there was a little bit of talk about a
Pinky in the Brain movie. But if they're you know,
once they killed Coyote, I know we didn't have a chance.

Brothers expected this to be a hit. The critics saw
it vance premieres of it and they were like, it
got like great run tomatoes and this is good, and

oh my god, this is a great movie. It's going
to be a hit. It was a flop, a big yeah.
And he said, is he based it on? He says

the promotion was horrible. It was it's a finger, you're
holding it. You don't know what it is. It looks
like it doesn't look like a comedy, doesn't look funny,
