Speaker 2 (00:17):
I'm talking like this because it's almost Halloween. I'm excited.
You know.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
I love Halloween. O love all the scariness, the candy,
the dressing up.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I'm here for it, Christy, Oh yeah, you know what
else You're like, I'm not here for the scary part,
but Halloween is my favorite. That Halloween is my Christmas
because you know, I don't do Christmas, but Halloween. I
mean I do Christmas, don't get me wrong, but I'm
just Halloween is.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
My happy place.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, except when you're talking about scary things.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Last year, in my apartment building, the man at the
end of the hall had the two twins from the
Shining Oh Yes plastered on the wall. So every time
I turned the corner and my build saying it's these
two twins in the morning, I'm the only one in
the hall. Except it was the two twins and now
it's some little kid. Oh ah, some little creepy kid

(01:11):
plastered on the wall, and I'm like, this.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Is so scary, sir. Why are you doing this to
everyone in the building. It's just not okay.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Anyways, we're talking about scary things because yesterday I was
driving in Hayward and I passed the Hayward Plunge. If
you grew up in the East Bay, the Hayward Plunge
is like a you know, community swimming pool.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
It's fun, except it's haunted. Is it really haunted?

Speaker 1 (01:34):
That's what people say. I've never been inside because I
believe them. I mean, there's a lot of like urban legends.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I'm from Valeo Christie and there's a popular road called
Lake Carmon Road, and for years, everyone believed that the
Zodiac Killer was there, so a lot of people would
not drive on Lake Carmon Road, including myself. I stayed
away from Lake Carmon Road because it was an urban
legend and nobody would drive on that road.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Do they still Is it still there Lake Herman Road?

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah, but no one believes now that the Zodiac Killer
was there. But that was an urban legend for years
in Valayo. Well when I was a kid. Now I
hear about it, and I drove past it and I
was like.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Mm mmmmmm. Yeah, people say they hear kids laughing.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Oh no, at the Hayward Plus Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
I mean there's kids swimming, so there's probably kids laughing.
But when the kids aren't there, that's when they hear it.
But got me thinking about things in the Bay Area.
They're actually a couple of stories. I'm sure all over
the Bay Area. There's the Winchester Mystery House, of course
that you hear about it's haunted. They're making money off
the fact that that's haunted. But are there any other

(02:49):
places in the Bay Area that are supposedly haunted that
maybe we don't know about that I need to steer
clear from one six nine and one three seven is
the phone number. Or if you want to leave us
a talk back, just tap the red microphone on our
free iHeartRadio app and you can always join the fun
o Spookiness.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
We're your for it. Next on Classic Kids one of
three point.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Seven, Christie Live talking scary Bay Area urban legends and myths.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
There's a few around.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yesterday I was driving by Hayward Plunge and Hayward and
supposedly it's haunted at least if you grew up in
the East Bay, that's something that you always heard.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
James, good morning.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
You have a Bay Area haunting your story?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
You know about?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah, the White Witch's in Niles Canyon even now to
this day.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
The White Witch. Who is it supposed to be?

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Is it like someone who died and then is just
haunting Niles Canyon.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
They don't know what it is. It's Lana or if
it's some lady that was left that died on her
wedding day or something.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
But people are still scared of going in there in
the canyon only because it's dark too.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Though, you know, yeah, I mean I'm afraid to Niles
Canyon at night. I grew up in Fremont. The White Witch, hmmm,
I did grow up in Freemont. I haven't heard of her,
but that's okay because I usually try and stay away
from the spooky stuff. If you've heard of a Bay
Area urban legend or some sort of haunting or myth,
producer Karina said, growing up in vallet Ho, nobody wanted

(04:19):
to drive on Lake Herman Road one eight sixty six
nine hundred and one three seven. You can always tap
the red microphone when you're listening on our free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Just hold it down.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
It's like an old school walkie talkie and you can
share your story. Leave a message up to thirty seconds
to come straight to the studio. I'd love to hear
from you here on Classic Hits one o three point seven,
Classic Kids one.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
O three point seven.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Time for the Crazy Trailer. On the Morning Drives with
Christie Live.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Today, producer Karina is driving the crazy train.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
So where are we headed.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
There's an aquarium in China that they've been trying to
pull off one of the world's biggest sharks for months.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Uh huh. It turns out it's a robot. What you're lying?

Speaker 6 (05:15):
No, I am not.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
An aquarium in China made people upset because they've been
talking about this world's largest shark exhibit and come to
find out people are paying forty dollars to go see
this and it's a robot.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
It is not a robot. You better shut up. Look
it are you kidding? Outs a robe? It's a robot.
Doesn't play everybody, doesn't it? Look real? People are asking
for their money back.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I mean I would too, because they're like, oh, it's exciting.
One of the you know biggest sharks in this aquarium
where they have all these other fish. And it turns
out this whole time it was a giant robot.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
I've been talking about the robot takeover for a minute.
Now you see this in what was it working underwater?
It's like an animatronicsh Now you're asking too many questions.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
And it cost them a lot of money to build
this aquarium because the shark was going to be the draw,
which it was.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
As it turns out, they said it's a robot. They
got small wonder in the water. You're stupid.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
We're gonna need a bigger bot.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Get it. That's oh man, that's your daily crazy News.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
You ride the Crazy Train every weekday at A nine
if you want to see this robot shark because it
looks real.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Does They tried it at.

Speaker 1 (06:50):

eighty minutes of NonStop music going for your Drive with
Madonna kicking it off next morning.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Drive with Christy Live, Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
It's time for the Great Debate.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Should you kick your family out your house if they
just show up unannounced? That is the question this morning.
Just wanted to jump right in because it's a real
situation in the seven oh seven. Yeah, every Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday we do the Great Debate, and producer Karina
had some family members show up this week.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Kind of Okay, I'm gonna let you tell it because
this is crazy.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
All right.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
My cousin came from Mexico, which we kind of knew
that he was coming. He gave us the heads up
about two weeks ago. We said, okay, cool, come on over,
you can stay with us.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
Boom.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
He surprised us by bringing his girlfriend. Oh and we
were not expecting that. I was like, how long are
you guys gonna stay for three weeks?

Speaker 1 (08:05):
You bring an extra guests and then PLoP yourselves down somewhere.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
How long did it did he ask to stay through?

Speaker 3 (08:10):
No, so he didn't ask to stay for three weeks.
I thought maybe a week he's gonna stay, yeah, which
is I'm okay with that.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
But now I'm like, well, is it wrong if I.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Asked them to like go to a hotel for the
like next two weeks, or I kind of want to
ask them to chip in some money because you know,
so far we're paying for everything. But he brought an
unannounced Yes, I mean we like her, but we just
were not expecting it. And for three weeks, Christy, that's
almost a month. It's a long time.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Two extra people living in your house. Where are they sleeping?
Did someone have to give up their room?

Speaker 2 (08:43):
My dad had to give up his room? Ah?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Yeah, so my dad had to give up his room.
So now he's sleeping in with my mom and yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Your parents sleep in separate rooms. Yeah, because it works
for them. Okay, we'll get a little bit er. Yeah,
that's a whole different conversation.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
In fact, is that my cousin brought an un announced guests,
and now I feel like, oh, do we have to
pay for everything for them? You know, we didn't know
that the both of them were coming, and I didn't
know that they were going to stay for three weeks,
which is a whole month.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
That's a long time to bring a stranger into someone
else's house without asking.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
I think so too.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
When I'm like, on Monday, I went to go buy
some food and it cost me one hundred dollars just
so that I can feed them.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
You're all about family though, so isn't this like, hey,
it's family time.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
It is.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
But like I said, you know, when you bring an
unannounced guest, I'm like, okay, this is a little bit different,
and I don't know how to handle that.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Do you think it's rude if producer Krena asked them
to chip in or get.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
The hell out of her house?

Speaker 1 (09:45):
That's the question for this morning Great wait for it,
hold on this Morning's Great Debate.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
And I gotta say that you you know, we're Mexicans.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
We do things a little bit different and everyone's always invited.
But for three weeks with a stranger and another person
in the house, and my dad had to get the
boot from his room, which we weren't.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Planning on it.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
One eight sixty six, nine hundred and one oh three
seven Tap the red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app.
How's your producer Karina handle this situation? Is it rude
to ask them to leave or at least chip in?
Want to hear from your Netback to.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
The Great Debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
How would you handle it.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
If your cousin showed up from a foreign country just
to visit, you're thinking, okay, little week, nice.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Little stay hang with the kuzzo.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
But then they bring their girlfriend unannounced and say they're
staying for three weeks. Is it wrong for producer Karina
because this is a real life scenario right now for
her to ask them to either get a hotel or
to chip in, Chris, she.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
Should actually ask for some money. I'm I mean not
just kicking time and resources it out with her family.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
So they should at least pitch in and give some
money for food or so forth.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Nothing wrong with pitching in. Okay, Chris. Thanks, I'll note
your vote. Have a great day. Good morning, Anthony, checking
in from Hayward.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (11:15):
Good morning?

Speaker 7 (11:16):
So Karina too nice?

Speaker 8 (11:18):
After the third day, I'd have been like, so when.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Do you guys leave?

Speaker 5 (11:21):
In that, I'd have been like, so do you guys
need a ride to the grocery store?

Speaker 1 (11:27):
That's funny, right, Like, hey, guys, I'm going to the store.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Grab your wallet.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say Karina's too nice, but.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Take it.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
I'll love your vote to Anthony. Got to talk bag
from our iHeartRadio app. If you're listening, just tap the
red microphone on the app and you can record a
message and jump into this morning's great debate. Producer Karina's
family showed up from Mexico. She was thinking it was

(11:58):
one person. He ended up bringing his girlfriend and then
said they're staying for three weeks. Is it wrong to
ask him to chip in or get a hotel?

Speaker 7 (12:08):
Good morning Christy, Good morning Karina. This is Jeff from Florida.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
Right now.

Speaker 7 (12:12):
Will be pretty much rude to tell them to go
to a hotel room because they are already there. But
he should have told you that he would bring in
his girlfriend, and you should have got all the information
up front so you can nip it in the butt.
And this should have came with money so they can
help pay for the food, because I would feel bad
if I have to have somebody to pay for my
food and my girlfriend food, I would feel it is
kind of silly.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Y'all have a great day.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Thank you Jeff for checking in jin Chi on your
cop Thanks for checking in from Florida.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
I hope you're doing okay with the crazy weather out there.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
We appreciate the talk back where do you stand what if.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
This happened to you?

Speaker 1 (12:47):
How would you handle the situation if people showed up
unannounced at your house? But it's family we're talking about,
and producer Karina says she's all about family.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
I am, I'm all about family, but not for three weeks.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Else, tap the red microphone on our app to weigh
in on this morning's great debate, or you can always
pick up the phone and call back to.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
The Greek Debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Producer Karina's cousin came from Mexico to visit. She thought
it was going to be a week and they just
got here on Monday and he's like, oh, by the way,
here's my girlfriend that you've never met that.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
I brought with me.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
No, I did meet her, I just was we just
were not expecting her to come. Yes, and then for
three weeks that we did not know.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
Is it wrong for her to ask them to leave
or at least start to chip in?

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Chris, good morning.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
You know a week, nad but not three? That's right.
You have to pay for the food. That's wrong. I
could see the one person since they know about it,
but the other person they should just get out at
the beginning. They kind of have that my girlfriend come over.
It shouldn't have the spray of the pony. That's that's wrong.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, that's all. Oh the hardage. Thank you, Chris. Appreciate
the call and the tough love. Got a couple of
talk bags from our app.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
Good morning, Katrina. Did you guys come from the same
family tree?

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 6 (14:15):
Maybe your cousin thought that, well, his girlfriend's been in
the family a long time or he's been with her
and that if he came, she came.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
I'm not making excuses for him, but that's probably what
he thought. Or maybe because you guys are so close
that he thought.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
You wouldn't mind.

Speaker 6 (14:31):
Maybe this is behavior from you from before.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Maybe you should show some love instead of hating on
your family.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Thank you for the talk back. Got one last one.

Speaker 4 (14:41):
Yeah, good morning.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
This is Joe from South By. I think we should
at least help them get a hotel for the last
week or something, only for the simple reason is that
they didn't inform you. But at the same time, you've
got to understand that, you know, people get paid more
hourly here than they do over there. So if you
could put up with it for two weeks. Maybe could
put up with it for another week.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Oh that is sweet. Thank you Joe from the four Away.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Appreciate you checking in, all right, Producer Corina, Let's tally
up the votes and the good advice for this morning's
great debate, Christy.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
The majority of people said, it's not wrong to ask
them to chip in some money, maybe offer them a
hotel for the last week. But it's okay for me
to ask them, like, hey, y'all need to chip in
for the groceries and everything else in the house.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
So then get her done. De narra.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
Okay, thank you so much for everyone jumping in on
this morning's great debate.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Do it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I say, kids,
one three point seven. Time to play gimme five with Christy,
Tim and Richmond.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
You ready to battle this brain freeze? Okay, like that
clock starts when I say go, you just have to
give me five things in a category in ten seconds.
Ten give me five artists or bands with one name.

Speaker 4 (16:12):
Go.

Speaker 8 (16:13):
Okay, Prince, I know this, Donna, oh.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Prince, Otherwise I would have talked about you. But Prince, Madonna, Beyonce,
Rihanna thing, oh my god, oh man, okay.

Speaker 7 (16:43):
Is a good one, but you know, look, I will
I will blame it on the morning.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
It is super super early.

Speaker 7 (16:52):
Let's just say that.

Speaker 8 (16:53):
My name is Simple and the rich. I have lost
the brain trees. Today.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
It's okay, It's okay. There's always tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
