Speaker 1 (00:00):
You listening Good Morning Drive with Christy Live on demand six.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Twenty five on Classic Hits one O three point seven.
How are you doing this Wednesday? My name is Christy
and Diane. Thank you so much for calling this morning.
Because it's the holiday season and there are a lot
of scams that we keep hearing about, but it's nice
to be able to hear it from you what's going on.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Just to be very careful about hackers and scammers, because
I got hacked on the Hallmark fan Club and it
is just an awful feeling to have this happen, and
I want everybody to know, just to be careful out there.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
What do you mean the Hallmark fan Club? You got
how well?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
I thought I was talking to the actor and actresses,
and as it comes back, they all wanted, you know,
a five hundred dollars apple cart, and then they got
really nasty and I was like, oh my god, you know,
and I tried to block them out and it was
just horrible, and they had, you.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
Know, already got me.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
But oh no, I had such good people at Wells Fargo,
and I took one of people to know, even though
you think you're talking to somebody.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
You're not. You know what they always say, gift cards.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
That is like the number one red flag.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
If a stranger is asking you to pay them or
send them anything, be a gift card or just wire
them money, do not do it.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yes, I mean I was very lucky. Some have been hit,
you know, very hard. My friends that when was twenty
thousand dollars, you know, so you know, and it's like
today is my birthday too, and I would love to
have it on the air. I bowl on a league
with my ladies, and then my grandson's going to cook
me dinner and my sister's going to be with me.

(01:48):
So it's all all pluses.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Well, okay, plus is that they didn't get you for more.
And thank you so much for the heads up and
happy birthday girl. But yeah, please do not send anybody
gift cards.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
It scares me. Whenever I hear my mom say, you know, Christy,
did I sign up for PayPal? I'm like, you know,
you don't use PayPal. Do not click on any links.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Don't send any gift cards when you think you're talking
to these celebrities, because this happens a lot. They won't
ask you for money. They are making plenty of money.
From their television shows and whatnot. They don't need you
to buy their T shirt or send them Amazon gift
cards or whatnot. But thank you for sharing your story
this morning, Diane, and have a wonderful birthday celebration. Man,

(02:30):
Why does scameras have to be so janky? Got some
Gloria estepon on the way and Bob Seger coming up
on Classic.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
Kids, Christie Live on Classic Hits. What O three point seven?
Good morning, James, what's up?

Speaker 6 (02:42):
You're talking about scammers? Yeah, And it didn't happen to be,
but it happened to my husband. He does the household finances,
and he got hit for like eight thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
What by Like, how is that even possible?

Speaker 6 (02:56):
It's the people fake being Comcast Internet. And they called
him and said.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Oh, well, we made a huge mistake. We credited your
account eight thousand dollars and you need to call on
your account right now and return it to us.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
And he went on his account and shot up there
was a credit take eight thousand dollars from Comcast. It
is it is checking account man, And they were like
pratically calling him and so even on a Monday morning, and.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
He did it. And put the money out and sent him,
sent him captures and while he was pulling the money
out sending the cashiers all they somehow canceled the deposit
they had made it and it wasn't even Comcast. So
if you ever get anything that a legitimate company says,
oh we made a mistake and we put money in,

(03:48):
tell him you have to hold and call that company
through confirmed numbers before you.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
That is crazy.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I cannot believe that, and especially if the money was there.
It's crazy what scammers can do these days. But thank
you so much for that call, James, because that is
something I could see a lot of people falling for,
especially if you go to your account and then you
actually see the money. If you watch the movie The
Beekeeper So good, it's the Jason Stathan movie that's out
now with Alicia Rashad.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
That's what happened to her in the movie.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
She saw the money log back in and they stole
it all. So please be careful because this is the
season where people like to take advantage of other people
as well. You know, around here we're all about the
positive vibes and you know, spreading the goodness. So just
want to look out for you and thank you James
for sharing your story, and Diane to got some Fleetwood,

(04:38):
Mac on the Way and Ozzy Osbourne coming up on
Classic Hit.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Classic Hits seven Time for the Crazy Trader on the
Morning Drives with Christie Live.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Elvis Costell Love Tickets. God, I'm coming up for you
at seven twenty. But right now the crazy train is
headed to Las Vegas. Earlier this year, you remember the
story where that dude literally I jumped over the judge's
bench after she was going to sentence him for assault
or something like that, Right, I remember, Yeah, I mean

(05:20):
that jump was pretty crazy.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
This was really crazy trying to attack her.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yeah, well he was in court and they just sentenced
him to twenty five to sixty six years in jail
for that craziness.

Speaker 5 (05:34):
That's crazy.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
That's a long time.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Because they said, oh, you were trying to kill her.

Speaker 8 (05:40):
I'm not making excuses for my actions. I'm saying I'm
not a bad person, and I know that I did
not intend to kill Mary Kale Holfice. I saw nothing
but read and I don't remember doing anything except jumping
on top of her and doing this to her.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Role was like, why are you doing this to me?

Speaker 8 (05:57):
That's what I wanted to ask her.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
You probably should have asked her on.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Your feet behind your right you know, behind the desk
you were sitting at that high jump, did you in Bruh?

Speaker 5 (06:06):
I'm sorry that was crazy that. That's a long time
in jail for just you know. I don't think he
was trying to kill her.

Speaker 7 (06:12):
I don't think so either.

Speaker 9 (06:13):
I think me a couple of years, maybe four or
five years, from twenty.

Speaker 7 (06:18):
Six to sixty.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Five years eligible parole fore parole in twenty fifties. Oh man,
keep your feet on the ground. Okay, just saying. And
another crazy news story you might have been following. Remember
that Wisconsin dad who fled to Eastern Europe and faked
his death.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
With the kayak.

Speaker 7 (06:36):
Yes, I remember him.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
He just got picked up in jail yesterday. He's in Wisconsin.
They just released his mugshot. So he's back home to
face the music, his wife and his three kids.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
Oh. I want to know. I want to know all
the detail, the plot thick.

Speaker 9 (06:51):
Yeah, they got a press press statement.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
What's it called press conference?

Speaker 7 (06:54):
Thank you? Thank you, Christy.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
Not really And I'll be watching, okay, and we'll keep
you posted.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
That's your crazy news catch it every Weekday seven, ten.

Speaker 10 (07:02):
And nine.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Drive with Christy Live Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
It's time for the Great Debate?

Speaker 5 (07:15):
Is an open marriage? The beginning of the end.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday always do a great debate?
And Ian actually brought this one to the table. I'll
let you explain it.

Speaker 11 (07:27):
So, my wife, after ten years, proposed that we open
up the marriage, and I don't. I don't really know
how to feel about that. You know, I feel like,
I don't know, I feel like I maybe opening up
Pandora's box.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I mean, you.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
Definitely open up Pandora's box.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
You know.

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Well, I'm just saying, yeah, I don't.

Speaker 11 (07:47):
Know with the whole thing. I'm not really sure if
I should stay or or go. I just I'm uncertain
about it. I don't even though there are perks involved.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
But yeah, you know, you know, well, in we'll put
it out there because that's what we do during the
Great Debate.

Speaker 7 (08:10):
Christy, where do you stand on open marriages?

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Personally? I think if it works for you, then you
should go for it.

Speaker 7 (08:15):
I'm right there with you, honestly.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
You know, if my idea of monogamy is different from
other people, once again, I'm not married. I don't have
any children one of them.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Maybe that has something to do with it.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
But I also feel like if that's what's gonna help
your marriage, then maybe it's something you should consider. With
boundaries and rules. My main thing is honesty. Honesty is
like key with whatever you're doing in your relationship. So
if you're sneaking, that's not cool. If you're being one

(08:50):
hundred percent up front, like, hey, this is what I'm
looking for, this is what I want, this is why
I want it, and you can have that transparent like relationship,
then I say go for it.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
But doesn't sound like you're on board.

Speaker 7 (09:01):
Ian, so that's a tough one for him.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
We, like I said, we're not married, so you know,
but even if you're not, if you have an opinion,
we'd love to hear it because that's what we does
during the Great Debate. So please jump in tap the
red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app, or you can
always pick up the phone and give us a call
if you want to weigh in on this morning's topic,

(09:27):
open marriage.

Speaker 5 (09:28):
Is it cool or maybe is it the beginning of
the end?

Speaker 2 (09:32):
And feel free to, like I said, give a call
if you want to as well, or remain.

Speaker 9 (09:37):
Anonymous if you want to, you know you want to
share your story, you can share. We're secretive to we
can you know, hide your secrets.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
To the Great Debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven?

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Would you agree to an open marriage?

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Ian?

Speaker 2 (09:57):
His wife asked him, And that is this morning's question
j for the Great Debate, Lynette, thanks for calling.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
I'm not for it.

Speaker 3 (10:05):
I would never agree to it.

Speaker 11 (10:06):
As a woman.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
I'm not with it.

Speaker 5 (10:08):
Why do you say that?

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Well, because, I mean he might find a woman of
his dreams out there. I mean, if you're married to me,
stay with me. I'm not into sharing. I'm just not
that's a nightmare. I'm not okay with that.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
Well, it didn't seem like Ian was pretty much down
for it either. Appreciate you, Lynette. I will not your vote.
Good morning, Aaron. What are your thoughts on an open marriage?

Speaker 12 (10:28):
Oh? Man, I think it's great. It's actually working for
my wife and I. You know, our communication is definitely increasing,
God better. She's a lot happier. I'm a lot happier.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I think I say, go for it, all right, that's
a good perspective. But I think what you said is key.
The communication and the honesty. That's what you need in
order for it to work. How did you guys decide
on in open marriage?

Speaker 12 (10:50):
I just thought it was something that we could try
and think we would just having communication issues and I
thought that, you know, let's try something else. So I thought, hey,
let me bring this to her.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
See what she says.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
Come now.

Speaker 12 (11:00):
She felt exactly the same way. And I felt like
that's where our problems was kind of because we really
had an appetite that we didn't believe both of us
could just have the response to bit of healing. So
love it take some risks with everything that you know
have some kind of success.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
So well, I appreciate you calling it being so open
and honest. Thank you very much, and I will not
your vote erin how do you feel about open marriages?
That is the question that Ian brought to the table
for this morning's great debate.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
His wife said.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
That's what she like, and he's like, I don't know
about all that, but what do you think? Tap the
red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app. Feel free to
leave a talk back. It can be anonymous, or you
can pick up the phone and give me a call.
So I can note your vote. Next on Classic Hits
one o three point seven.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
To the Great Debate, Classic Kits one oh three point seven.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Can an open marriage save a relationship? Or is the
beginning of the end. That's the question this morning for
the Great Debate. We do a debate every Monday, Wednesday
and Friday and always appreciate you jumping in.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Mike just came out of the blue.

Speaker 13 (12:12):
You know, sorry, bud days are numbered, pas or packers?

Speaker 5 (12:17):
All right, Dan? I heard that.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Thank you so much, Mike. On not your vote, got
a talk back from our iHeartRadio.

Speaker 13 (12:22):
App absolutely no to the open marriage. Okay, you are
creating problems you cannot handle. You're either all in on
the marriage or you're out. No dabbling elsewhere.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
I heard that, Thank you very much. I will note
that vote. That's what seems like Ian is feeling as well.
Got one more talk back from our app. Tap the
red microphone anytime you want to jump in and join
the fun.

Speaker 10 (12:48):
I don't want to give my name, but my husband
and I, after ten years, decided to have an open marriage.
It's the best decision that we've ever made. We were open,
we talked about it. We have boundaries. I say, Ian
should just give it a try. It might work for him.
It might not, but at least he knows he did
everything he can to save his marriage.

Speaker 5 (13:08):
To each throne, thank you for the talk back.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And what do the people say when it comes to
this great debate?

Speaker 5 (13:16):
Producer Karina, there was really only.

Speaker 9 (13:19):
One hard no, but everyone else is like, at least
have the discussion you're having it and try it.

Speaker 7 (13:25):
It might work for you.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
You know, I knew a couple people like in real life.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
You know who do this? Who have who are polyamorous?
I think it's a very thing. He's a very big
thing in debay.

Speaker 9 (13:34):
Listen, my cousin has an open marriage. I'm not gonna
say who. They've been together for at least twenty something years.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Give us a kid. Oh you know my family, Christy.

Speaker 7 (13:47):
But to each their own.

Speaker 5 (13:48):
And maybe this is why me and Christy are single.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (14:46):

Speaker 5 (14:50):
