know every family has their share drama, but producer Karina's
family has maybe just a little bit more. So every
Tuesday and Thursday we check in. It's time for another episode.

Up Karina's family drama.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
When we left off last, Karina's mom, Miss Connie, just
got a brand new car which she will not let
anyone in the family ride in. Has that happened yet?

Speaker 1 (00:34):
I have not stepped foot in that car at all.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
That's crazy.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
I know what four.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Weeks but whatever, it's her car. Now there's drama with
my older sister, Cindy.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Last time we heard about Cindy, she was mad because
you guys went to the Chinese food restaurant without her. Yeah,
so she's not giving you guys the silent treatment anymore.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
No, because we invited her at dinner on Monday.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Uh huh.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
And when the bill came, which was two hundred and
seventy five dollars, my dad said, let me put it
on my card. You guys just pay me back after
So yesterday he sent a text message to us, me
and my sister and said, hey, girls, here's the bill.
Send me your items plus the tax and the tip.
Here goes Cindy, I barely ate anything. I don't understand

why I need to cover all that tax and tip
when all I had was a drink and I paid
for my prime rib on the side to avoid all this.
It never fails that she never wants to contribute when
we go out to family dinner. She's so tight on
many every single time. And I said, let's just split

the tip evenly. Let's just split the tax evenly. Here
she goes in the text message, Well, I didn't eat
that much. I only had one drink. You guys had
three drinks each. And I don't feel like I should
have to pay all this.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Well, how much is all this tax and tip?

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Is only like an extra seven dollars? I think that's fair.
But no, here she goes, I'll pitch in for maybe
an appetizer, but I'm not covering anything else on this bill.
So now my mom was like approaching my vest. No,

meaning next time, we're not inviting her because she doesn't
want to share the costs.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Oh dear, what will happen well. The cost of Cindy's actions.
It wasn't just tax and tip. It may have cost
her her family's love. Cindy may have saved a dollar,
but has she lost everything that matters? We'll find out
