But the Golden State Valkyries yesterday had their very first
draft and we had three picks. You stay yo Chie
Day from Lithuania, Yep, Cheyenne Cellars from University of Maryland,
(00:49):
and Caitlyn chen are all members of the new WNBA team.
It was such an auditor go out there and DJ
the watch party at Thrive City, uh huh and oh
my gosh, I don't want to get choked up. But
about a year ago, a year ago, I was sitting
in Thrive City. I went to a Warriors game and
I was like, oh man, I just want to DJ
(01:11):
at Thrive City. I just want to DJ at Thrive City,
and yesterday had the chance to DJ. And it was
so crazy because it was on a day where everyone's
dream was coming true for being picked for the WNBA.
This whole time, they've been grinding, since they've been playing,
you know, basketball as a little kid, and now they're
(01:32):
getting to go to the WNBA.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
And I was like, Oh, this is so crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
It's so cool. It looked like a really really fun party. Chrissy,
how was it?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
It was a great party and it was definitely a
dream come true. So just my message to you this morning,
dreams do come true. Oh I'm so proud of you
because you did say that. You're like, I just want
to DJ in front of Thrive City. That's it, and
it or the Golden State Valkyries on our very first
draft day. So if you're dreaming about maybe not having
to pay Uncle Sam, set up, because dreams do come true.
(02:04):

also a big election day in Oakland. Yeah, they're picking

and every Tuesday and Thursday talk about the crazy viral trends,
things happening in the world, things that make you say.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
You gotta be kidding me.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Grilled ice cubes have become a new street food in
China and people are actually spending real money on this.
And when I say grilled ice cubes, I'm talking about
actual ice cubes from the freezer, thrown on on a barbecue, grill,
seasoning thrown on top of the ice. No, they roll
it around, put it in a bowl, two to five
(03:24):
dollars a cube.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
How does the ice not melt?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
They don't keep it on the grill that long, just
long enough for the seasoning to kind of melt onto
the ice.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Uh huh.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
So basically they're giving you frozen ice to some louderties
on it and charging you for it.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
You gotta be kidding me.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
If you are a broke right now, that's on you,
because there are a million ways out here.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
To make money.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
Well, the scorpions love it.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
What Why do scorpions love it? Because it's cold as ice?
You're stupid, dude. That doesn't even make sense.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
It's not even the scorpion. It's not the scorpion though.
That's a foreigner song. But it's okay, it's not scorpions.
No foreigner sings cold des Ice.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Oops, you gotta be kidding me.
Speaker 6 (04:17):

Before we have a boar in the crazy train, just
a reminder seven twenty you can get eighty minutes of
commercial free music today. The Crazy Train is heading over
to Spain, where a woman was unfortunately attacked by a
customer when she was working at a supermarket. Why I
have no idea, but the traumatic incident left her with
PTSD and during the incident she lost her ability to speak.
(05:02):
So the insurance company has been paying this woman who
has been claiming key word, been claiming that she is
mute unable to speak. Unfortunately, or fortunately for the insurance company,
they decided, after a few years of paying this woman,
let's still a little research.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Because her doctors haven't mentioned anything.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
About the fact that she is not able to speak anymore,
they hired a private investigator to follow her. Private investigator
walked up to her on the street, was like, excuse me, ma'am,
do you know where I can find this restaurant?
Speaker 4 (05:32):
And she gave him instructions.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
So basically she could talk.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Basically, she is now on the hook for paying back
her insurance company for claiming to be mute for sixteen
years day collecting disability tention.
Speaker 7 (05:50):
That is some dedication right there there. I'm sorry, sixteen years.
What's done in the dark will come to the light.
That's crazy, mm, that is your crazy news. I'm gonna
make a joke, but I'm speechless.

Speaker 7 (06:50):
So my dad went with my brother in law Steve
and his close friend Ivan Dude the Giants game last Wednesday.
They were sitting in the bleachers. Okay, they're on the
fourth inning.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Close to fifth inning.
Speaker 7 (07:02):
I get a text message from Steve and he was like,
you know, it's really hot.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Your dad went to go get some water.
Speaker 7 (07:07):
He hasn't came back yet, but maybe he's just walking around.
I said, Okay, here comes the sixth inning. I get
another text message from Steve. He said, Crean, it have
you had from your dad? I said, you're the one
at the game with him.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
I have not her for my dad.
Speaker 7 (07:21):
Here comes the end of the game, or Steve texts
me he was like, your dad never came back to
the bleachers.
Speaker 3 (07:27):
It's really hot.
Speaker 7 (07:28):
Maybe he wants to go sit in the shade. So
when the game was over, they're walking around looking for him.
My dad's not answering his phone.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
The time comes.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
Where they have to take the ferry back to Valeo.
They said, let's walk around the ferry building so we
can see, Like, what if he just happens to be here, Christy,
why did my dad leave in.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
The fourth inning?
Speaker 7 (07:51):
Because he said he was hot and he was at
the little wine bar at the ferry building drinking a
glass of wine.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
And he didn't bother to text them.
Speaker 7 (08:03):
He was gone pretty much the entire game, and they
just thought, oh, maybe he's walking around, maybe he's sitting
in the shade.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
No, he ditched them.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Why didn't he tell anybody what he went? Because he
didn't feel like he had to.
Speaker 7 (08:16):
And I said, you could have at least texted or
called them because they're worried, like they all have to
go home on the ferry. No, my brother in law,
Steve is still not talking to him because he's upset
that they got ditched.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Oh oh, one traded pitches and peanuts for peanuts and
now he's tasting the bitter notes of betrayal.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Can he uncork forgiveness?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
Oh God?
Speaker 4 (08:50):

pasta water and serve it in the martini.

Today the crazy train is heading over to Spain, where

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Why.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I have no idea, but the traumatic incident left her

Private investigator walked up to her on the street, was like,
excuse me, ma'am, do you know where I can find
this restaurant? And maybe if you're claiming that you can't speak,
you shouldn't be giving strangers on the street directions, because
(13:22):
that's what she did. And of course she was caught
and now she's on the hook for having to pay
back all that money. Sixteen years is how long they've
been paying this woman out.
