crazy Train is headed out to Cape Coral, Florida. You know,
teachers have a really hard job. They are tasked with
educating young minds, and that's exactly what one Florida teacher did,
(07:36):
and now because of her lesson, kids understand the consequences
of doing cocaine.
Speaker 5 (07:42):
Oh no, who.
Speaker 9 (07:44):
Is accused of showing up to work at Island's Coast
High School high from.
Speaker 7 (07:48):
Cocaine us Alia test came back as positive for cocaine.
Multiple students told investigators she vaped and allowed students to
vape in class. She also shared her personal vaping device.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
She was also teaching them about sharing.
Speaker 5 (08:02):
Oh no, this is so wrong.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Of course, what's wrong is the teacher hasn't even been fired.
She's also accused of selling snacks and drinks because if
you're vaping, you're gonna be hungry. And they said, that's
what violates school policy. What kind of school is this?
She can bathe, she could share her vape, but the
selling the snacks and the drinks is what violates the
(08:27):
school policy.
Speaker 5 (08:28):
That is so wrong.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
She has been placed on lead, but she's not been
fired yet from her job.

one oh three point seven. It's time for the great debate.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Pets are considered part of people's families. They call them
their fur babies and all other kinds of things like that. Yes,
but do you feel like with your family you should
get paid sick leave if you need to take care
of your pet. I just found out that in Reyville,
right here in the Bay Area, they give employees paid
(09:23):
sick leave for their pets. I mean, mostly service animals.
But still, that's kind of interesting.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
Christy, you're not here for it. I mean, you.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Could call it your for a baby, but it's not
a baby.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
But it's like your.
Speaker 3 (09:37):
Kid and paid sick leave to take care of your
your pet. I don't know. I think that might be
a little bit too far.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
I think this is a great idea. I'm one percent
for it.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
If your dog is sick at home, you have nobody
to take care of it, you know, and you're at work,
you're not going to be able to concentrate.
Speaker 5 (09:56):
I think it's a good thing. I'm all for it.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
If your dog is sick at home, Like, what do
you have.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
To do for your doms. Well, they might need medicine,
they might need you care.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
You give them medicine before you leave and go to work.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
Not all the time, not all the time. I'm here
for it. I wish they would do that all over
the place.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
What do you think? One eight sixty six nine hundred
one three seven Or tap the red microphone on our
free iHeartRadio app so you can leave a talk back
to jump in on this morning's Great debate. Should people
get paid sickly to take care of their pets?
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Yes, for your mental health, do god, it helps. It's
hard emotionally, it's a lot to take care of a
pet when they're sick.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Okay, I'm here for it.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
What do you think care for your Next?
Speaker 1 (10:48):
On Classic Kids, Back to the Great Debate Classic Kids
one oh three point seven.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
Paid sick leave for pets as if your pet is sick,
you get to take paid sick leave.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Should that be a thing?
Speaker 3 (11:06):
That is the question for this morning's Great Debate.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
Joey, did you say pets, if they're sick.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
You get paid.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
That's what people are suggesting.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
If your pet is sick at home, you should get
paid leave to take care of them. What do you
think is the question?
Speaker 6 (11:20):
I have a boring answer.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
I would go for it.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Not boring at all. Your opinion matters. Thanks Joey Evanna.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
What do you think.
Speaker 10 (11:28):
Let's see, As an avid animal lover who's had multiple
Captain dogs in their life, I think that having a
sick leave for a certain amount of time would be fine.
I mean, they're like our family, so our pets are
like our family members, So I think that would be
an important enough reason to have it to pass the law.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
All right, another yes vote, You're not alone.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Thank you so much for jumping into this morning's great debate.

rane Y'ah'm gonna stay home and take care of her
like it's like she was my little child or so
which is you know there is my little kids mother
kids have grown out of the house. But yeah, I would,
I would do it.
Speaker 6 (12:40):
I'm all for it.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
And Christy.
Speaker 4 (12:41):
Ever since I've been on this radio station and found

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Jeff.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
You know what, when I was a kid, I was
deathly afraid of like animals, dogs and cats. I was
not raised with the animal My mom is not an
animal person. I am not an animal person. I don't
hate cats and dogs. I'm just not a big animal person.
Especially when I see him wearing clothes or riding in strollers,
I'm like.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
Hi, Sean Chay from Cashravelli, currently actually walking my dog.
I think you're both right. I think using if you
have a sick leave policy and using it for your
dog a kid really doesn't matter. But I don't think
having a specific sick day policy JASPA pets makes sense
because you're probably not going to use a lot of it,
or they're just going to use it for days off.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
Thanks right, using it for days off, I mean, keep
it real. Thank you so much for tapping in, especially
while you're walking your dog.

Join in this morning's Great Debate, Mike, thank you for
checking in.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
You have a pet.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
What do you think I'm one hundred percent for it.
If something happens to her, I got no one to
take care of her except me, And.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
What if you got to take him to the bed.
Speaker 5 (15:09):
Thank you, And you're the only one to do it.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Exactly all right, I'll let you get back to it,

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Can we do that here?
Speaker 5 (15:50):
