First of all, you are not the mama.
Speaker 2 (02:55):
Your parents could be wherever they want to be. It's
their house.
Speaker 6 (02:58):
They are grown, christy what they are of a certain age,
so I worry for them and I want to make
sure they are safe.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
So then I'm like, well, where are you guys at?
Speaker 6 (03:08):
Yesterday morning, I get a picture from my dad. Why
are both of them in Lake Tahoe. The first thing
my dad said was, we can't to Tahoe. I know
we're crazy, but can you send me some money? Because
I gambled a lot of money?
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Dad? Are you serious?
Speaker 6 (03:27):
And my mom goes to Papato? Your dad already spent
a lot of the money. First of all, you guys
didn't tell me where you were going. You didn't say
when you're coming home. Second of all, how are you
gonna hit me up for so many after.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
You gambled it away? Okay, don't do that. So I
don't know when my parents are coming home. When you
send them some money so they can get you some gas.
Speaker 10 (03:50):
In the car.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Karina's parents snuck away to Tahoe. Will she deal.

Like I said, Classic Kids one O, three to seven
dot com.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Classic Kids Crazy with Christie Live in Morning dramas.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Well, you gotta go, you gotta go.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Today the Crazy train is headed out to Florida, Miami,
where a seventy two year old man is now in
jail because he had to go to the bathroom. He
went to the local public's grocery store and he got
to the saw and somebody was there.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
So he was like, hey, man, you take it too long.
He's taken too long. I gotta go.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Eventually, the man who was inside the stall and didn't
appreciate being rushed opened the door.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
But you know when people play with you.
Speaker 3 (05:09):
And they try and block the door, when when you
try and go into a room or something like that,
and so, since like I said, the man in the
stall didn't appreciate being rush he decided to play a
little game chicken, and that's when Alfredo Brendis lost it.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
He pulled out a knife.
Speaker 9 (05:23):
Oh god, rush shut the man who was playing games
at the public bathroom.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Uh uh.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
He told the officer I really had to go, and
he wouldn't move.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
Don't try to stab someone because you gotta go to
the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
When you gotta go, you gotta go.
Speaker 6 (05:42):
You know, the other day at bass pro shop, Uh huh,
people got into a huge fight over the bathroom because
the guy was taking too long and another guy got mad.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
You know, that is a place you should be able
to go and just not be bothered. Okay, God, people
extra time, yeah, seriously, especially you get caught in public, Like,
come on, give somebody some extra piece in quiet and time.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
That's why I just go at home. Oh lord.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Okay, Good morning Drive with Christy Live on Classic Kids
one three points. It's time for the great debate.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Is cash still king? That is the question?
Speaker 3 (06:24):
And according to gen Z Nabra, you know, every Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday got a new debate question. And this one
comes courtesy of a new article that just came out
that said cash is the last resort for gen Z
and they actually think cash is so cringe.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
That it's something old people use. Is that true?
Speaker 3 (06:48):
You know? I went to Whole Foods yesterday and literally
paid with my palm. Really, I didn't pay with my phone.
I did even take my phone out. I literally held
my palm over the machine and that paid the bill.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
How does that? How does that even work? You have to.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Register, Oh, okay, and you attach your credit card and everything.
And literally, when I go to Whole Foods, I hold
my palm out over the little pay machine and it
reads something on my palm print.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
And no, guess that's easier and cleaner.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Yeah, definitely cleaner, because you don't know where people have
been giving their money these days. One eight sixty six
nine hundred one three seven. Should we just do away
with cash once and for all, make it all electronic
or do you feel like, nah, I'm keeping it old
school cash is still king in my place. That is
the question for this morning's Great Cash Debate.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Producer Krina.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
What do you think I'm okay with doing away with cash? Honestly,
I don't really carry it on me.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
I never use it. I just use my phone.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Christy, I can't imagine my mom whipping out her phone
and trying to pay for anything, or trying to register
her pon so she can flash it at the whole foods.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Yeah, ms, Ruthie is not doing it. So you're here
for the cash? Yes? Oh you always carry cash though, Christy? Yeah,
I tried to.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
Well yeah, thanks chremy everybody, so I get robbed in
the streets. Where do you stand? That is the question.
You can also tap the red microphone on our free
iHeartRadio app if you want to jump in for this
morning's great debate.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Here for you. Next back to the Great Debate Classic
Kids one oh three point seven.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Is cash still king or is it dead? Gen Z
said cash it's cringe. It's for old people. But what
do you think?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Should we do away with it or keep it going?
Got to talk back?
Speaker 5 (08:47):
Good morning ladies from Sam Bruno. I think we have
learned nothing if you are getting rid of cash. If
there's an earthquake and everything goes down, nothing works unless
you have cash. You can buy no food. You need
to have cash.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Thank you, Happy Friday, Thank you for the talkback. That
is so true.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
I think it's because other people have gone through these
natural disasters or big moments in history where technology failed us,
so we know what's up.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Good morning, Ronnie. What do you think?
Speaker 6 (09:20):
Well? I think this hues both, but that's just me.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
I'm old school.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Hey, nothing wrong with keeping it old school. It's gen
Z that says that cash is dead. I'm still here
for cash is king. Thanks Ronnie, I'll note your vote.
Good morning, John, checking in from aptoes. That's what's up?
What do you think is cash still king? Or is
its rain over?
Speaker 1 (09:41):
It's on life support, but you better have it because
credit cards usually charge an extra three percent these days.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
And what happens if there's an internet out?
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Did you That's what a lot of people always say, like,
when it comes down to it, technology can fail, but
you can always slide that piece of green on over.
There you go, There you go.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
I have a good work you.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Too, John, appreciate you checking in for this morning's great debate.
Gen Z said cash is for old people. It's so cringe.
Do you think we need to get rid of it
once and for all? Just move to a fully digital system?
Speaker 1 (10:20):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (10:20):
Who's this a good morning? Thank you for calling. What
do you think I rarely have cash?
Speaker 10 (10:26):
I mean usually I'll grab cash if I'm traveling and.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
I want to have it for kids and stuff like that.
I most always use a debit card.
Speaker 10 (10:34):
A couple of weeks ago, I took a trip to
Seattle and I pulled out my wallet could do something.
I have twenty one dollar bills in my wallet, and
I'm like, oh man.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
That's pathetic. You know what, three one dollar bills is
a lot more cash than most people have. So hey,
thank you so much for the call. I'll note your vote.
Looks like cash is on its way out? What do
you think?
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Is the question? Is cash still King?
Speaker 3 (11:03):
One eight six six nine hundred one three seven or
tap the red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app to
jump in for this morning's Great Debate.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
On Classic Hit Back to the Great Debate Classic Kids
one oh three point seven?
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Cash is my microphone? How about that? How about my phone?
Is the Great Debate? It's your first day? Okay, break,
I'm learning? Is cash still King? Or should we just
let it go? Is the question this morning? Linda.
Speaker 10 (11:41):
I'm a hairdresser and I work for cash, and I've
been having problems with them taking my cash. When I said,
this is my way of living, this is what I do,
and if I can't give you cash, I don't know
what to tell you. When the electricity goes off, you're
not going to be able to give me cash anyway
through the electronics system. So these dumb kids that want
(12:01):
to put everything on their life on this computer stuff,
they're really being stupid because ten years from now they're
going to get a big lesson. They want everybody on
the system so that they can shut it down whenever
they want, and they can freeze your account whenever they want.
You have no say.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
So it is kind of scary because that is true,
you know, they get just everything's digital. Yep.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
So it's like, well, one little and it's gone. Yeah,
just like that.
Speaker 3 (12:26):
Thank you so much, Linda. I'll note your vote. Frank,
what's up? Appreciate you jumping in.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
What do you think? Look, I'm old school. I was
born at sixty seven, and everything's going digital. Nobody wants
to take cash anymore.
Speaker 10 (12:38):
I can't figure out this technology.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I try to go to my grandson's football game.
Speaker 6 (12:42):
They don't take cash.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Everything's digital, and it just drives me nuts.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
Sometimes it's a little extreme. Like you know, Ronnie said,
keep both. Why can't we just have both? I will
note the vote. Thank you so much, Frank, have a
great weekend. All right, got time for another call here,
Arizona to James, thanks for jumping in for the great debate.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
What do you think is cash still king or is
it dead?
Speaker 5 (13:10):
Gosh?
Speaker 2 (13:10):
Is definitely king because every bit of cash used with
a private transaction, Uncle Sam cannot track. And if you
ain't cheat on your taxes, you ain't trying to win.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
Come on, nobody talked about that part.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Who doesn't like to get paid?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Under the table?
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Keep it real?
Speaker 5 (13:25):
Why do all these people, all these businesses around her
run cash businesses?
Speaker 6 (13:29):
Do you think they're.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Claiming all that on their taxes?
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Ht No, any electronic transaction you make, Uncle Sam has
a piece of the pile.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
And they're even taking like your NMO and your PayPal
and stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Now, oh yes, cash is definitely king.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Okay, thank you, you have a great morning Showstie.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Thank you, Arizona. James.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
I think he just won because that is the that
is the number one thing. Don't nobody not like to
get paid? I used a bunch of double negatives right there, nobody.
I'm sorry, nobody, don't number nobody.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Likes to have to pay taxes on stuff. Mm hmm.
Can I get a discount if I give you cash? Dumb?
That discount goes away if we don't have cash.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Thank you.
Speaker 6 (14:15):
So the majority of people Christy in today's debate say yes,
cash is king keshe me the moday.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
No, okay, there are you yelling? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Thank you, Arizona James just wrapped it up. Put a
nice little bow on it right there. I mean, drop
the mic. Yeah, nobody wants to pay taxes. So there
you go. Let's get you back to the music.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
Is the Lenyard Skinnard on the way. Thanks for jumping
in this morning, Christie Live.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
It's nine thirty two on Classic Kids one O three
point seven.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Good morning, I'm Christie. Producer Karina is here. So it
is a Friday.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Gonna have some fun this morning, like always, but it's
been a while. So it's time to bring back America's

Speaker 6 (14:58):

Speaker 7 (16:09):
Well, I can't tell you, donkey what I'm talking about.
You know, I'm not a bit and then and I'm not.
I'm axel Polly, thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Sounds like Eddie Murphy just now.
Speaker 8 (16:25):
I mean everyone has to go through a work of life.
You know, Eddie's a little difficult in our defense. Yes,
let it go, let it go, all right, don't forget
that Eddie documentary hits Netflix next Wednesday, and more or
