until Christmas. We will take your vitamin C, take your elderberry.
Because a lot of people are under the weather. It's
going around. Tell you what else is going around? Apparently
people getting out of tickets. Yesterday I shared the story
of me doing the wave on the road after I

(00:52):
made an illegal cutoff left and it was a police
officer I cut off. But I didn't get a ticket
all because I did the wave. But a lot of
people are calling and sharing how they got out of tickets.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
But this is pretty unique.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
A driver in southern California, actually in Fuller ten, got
pulled over and in a last ditch effort to get
out of their ticket, the driver handed over a monopoly
get out of jail free car.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
You gotta give it to them for trying.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
I mean, if I was an officer and someone did that,
I'd be like, okay, okay, okay, that was a good one.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
That was a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Unfortunately the officer was like, that's not a legal defense
and saved the.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
Card for a rainy day. Here's a ticket.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Funny.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
But if you ever have been able to get out
of a ticket, please call and share the story.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I always love to hear from you.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, Christy, didn't.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
You get out of another ticket once over here in
the city though, because an officer pulled you over and
you were really nice to him.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
I'm always really nice. You are, really you are. I am.
I will go to you.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Their jobs are not easy and they're really at the
end of the day here to try and help, especially
shout out to the CHP.

It's time for a new episode.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Of Karna's family Drama.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
I think my mom Connie tried to do some witchcraft
on me yesterday.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
What are you talking about, Lima's Connie alone, No, Christy,
you know I've been dealing with sinus pain for a
couple of months now, yes and recently my parents went
to Mexico.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Uh huh. So yesterday I got.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Home and I told my mom that, you know my
and it says we're hurting really bad. She brought out
all these plants, herbs, Oh my gosh, she got from
Mexico and was like, here, try this. There's like a
penny royal drop that's like a nasal wrint, some castor
oil that she told me to rub on my nose.

(03:18):
She did a cacao mixture with like garlic and oil
to rub on my face and then told me to
drink some like plant tea.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
That's not witchcraft. That's taking it back to the old school.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Hold on, Okay, I almost didn't make it to work
because whatever she told me to drink practically.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Took me out.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
I woke up at one o'clock in the morning having
to go to the restroom because my stomach was hurting
and my head was hurting, and I'm convinced my mom
was trying to kill me with all of her herbs
that she brought back from Mexico. So she heard me
in the bathroom and she came out of her room.
She goes for guess, that's why are you making so

(04:03):
much noise?

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Because you gave me all.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
These herbs and plants to take for Mexico and oils, and.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
That you know, was having an emergency at one o'clock
in the.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Morning, I said, let me just go and get some
tile and oil or something from a nose.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
How about some maylocks for that gut.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
Seriously, Karina's mom gave her herbs to heal, but did
her witchcraft cure or lead to the.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Real montezumas remain less holistic and more horrific. What will
happen is we'll.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Find out next Tuesday on a new episode.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Of Torina's Family Drama, Never.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Again with all those herbs and plants. Careful with that staff.
I know, I know, but I trust my mom that
she knew what she was doing. Apparently not.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
You ever miss Karina's Family Drama. You know, ketchup online?
You can always find that in the whole show podcast

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Kids, Classic Kids THO.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
With Christy Live in morning Drops.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
The Crazy Train is heading out to China. Unfortunately, working
in a factory can be kind of dangerous, and a
woman found out the hard way. She was in a
factory accident, and unfortunately, her hair got caught in one
of the machines.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
It ripped off her.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Hair warmer, scalp and.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
Part in her ear.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Basically, damn fine though, I mean as fine as you
can be with all of that. Unfortunately, though, since her
ear was ripped off in the accident, doctors weren't able
to reattach it right away because they said, you know
this and the blood vessels needed to heal. So they
did what any good medical team would do. They sewed

(06:05):
it to her foot.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
That's more time.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
This woman had her ear sewn to her foot. What
so that way it could heal. There's a picture of it.
That's crazy. I wonder she could hear the footsteps.

Speaker 6 (06:18):
I'm just wow, Damn, that's kind of crazy.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
That is crazy. I didn't even know like medically they
could do that.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Yeah, they said the skin and blood vessels on top
of the foot are the same that are close to
the ear, so it actually kept the ear alive while
it healed. And then she just walked around with loose shoes,
lived her life. What is it when you go get
a pedicure?

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Right?

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Oh god, I got water in my ear.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
That's crazy.

Speaker 4 (07:01):
That's actually pretty crazy and pretty cool though medically that
they can do that, it looks crazy.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
If you want to see the picture, we'll throw it
on our social at Classic Kids one O three seven FM.

Speaker 5 (07:12):
Okay, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
All right, that's your crazy news.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
You can ride the crazy train every weekday at seven,
ten and nine to forty. When you missed the stories,
hey you don't have to miss it, just catch up
online for the Classic Kids one o three seven.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
God, what are you doing? What what I was fluffing
at you? Why? Because here on demand it's irreplaceable. Get it? No?
Oh God? Stop?

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Its Morning Drive with Christy Live on Classic Kids one
oh three point seven. It's time for the Great.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Debate Man this week, you've been fired up with ideas
for the great debate.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
I always love when you call in and.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Dana and Venetia.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
You heard something the other day that sparked a great debate.

Speaker 7 (08:08):
That woman called in that said she got an engagement
ring from her boyfriend after ten years. What kind of
a woman sits around for ten years? What kind of
self esteem do you have to sit around waiting for
a man for ten years? I met the shockingly lovely
missus Dana, and we were married within six months.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
You're kidding me?

Speaker 7 (08:26):
Have you been married twenty six years?

Speaker 2 (08:28):
That's crazy.

Speaker 7 (08:30):
Couldn't believe that she said ten years sat around waiting
for that knuckle. You know, if you ever saw the
great film when Harry met Sally, you know, in the
words of Harry, when you meet the person you want
to spend the rest of your life with, you wanted
to start right away.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Well, you know, Dana, I think This is a perfect
question this morning for the Great Debate. How long should
you wait if you want to get married and one
got a ring? What's the time limit?

Speaker 7 (09:02):
I mean, it's not like buying a car. You know
you can be I think anyone with a working brain
can tell pretty quickly after about maybe a couple of months.
But for me it took one date.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Well, I don't know if everybody's on the one date crew, But.

Speaker 3 (09:17):
How long is too long to wait? Or is there
a time limit to put a ring on it?

Speaker 2 (09:22):
What do you think?

Speaker 3 (09:23):
One eight sixty six nine hundred one o three seven
or tap the red microphone on our free iHeartRadio app
so you can join in for this morning's Great Debate.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Christy, I don't think there's a timeline when you're older.
You just know. So if it's a day, well, I
mean okay, maybe.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Not a day.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Maybe not a day. I would say at least a
month in of dating someone you should know? Really yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
No?

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Well what do you think though? That's the question? Hit
me up join the fun hear from you next to
the Great.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Debate Classic Kids one oh three point seven?

Speaker 3 (10:07):
How long is too long to wait for a ring?
If you were dating someone and you want to get married.
Thank you so much, Dana for bringing this great debate
to the table. This morning, Christine, my husband met me
and he couldn't speak English at the time, and he
said that.

Speaker 8 (10:23):
Night he knew this is a girl for me. And
for ten minutes we met and we've been married now
thirty eight years.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Oh my goodness. You know my boy mo he's one
of my best friends. And he said, Christy, guys know,
guys know you know what I mean, They know whether
they're going to lock you.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Down or not.

Speaker 8 (10:41):
I moved to Switzerland for him. He came as an
exchange student at Berkeley. I met him at Cafe Roma
ten minutes and we parted the exchange numbers and he
told his friends that night I met the girl. Bat
My son has been with his girlfriend for seventeen years,
spend year in high school, and he just proposed to her.

(11:04):
All I could say is no time limit, how long
you should wait or how fast you should act.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
If you know you know all right, then well, thank
you so much. I will note that vote. Appreciate you
jumping in this morning. Christine, Hi, good morning.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Who's this?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
This is salary calling into the great debate.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Oh you said the magic words? Girl?

Speaker 5 (11:29):
What do you think?

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Is there a time limit for marriage? It's so different
for different people, like how long it.

Speaker 9 (11:35):
Takes to tell?

Speaker 10 (11:37):
But why is anybody waiting?

Speaker 11 (11:38):
Just ask them if you're ready and you want to
get married off the other person?

Speaker 10 (11:42):
Why is anybody waiting to be odd?

Speaker 9 (11:45):
That would be asking.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
It doesn't matter who it is. Thank you, Valerie.

Speaker 9 (11:50):
Yes, have a good day.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
You two girl'll take care of my by.

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Where do you stand on this morning's great debate?

Speaker 2 (12:04):
How long should you wait for a ring?

Speaker 5 (12:07):
Is too long?

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Or waiting at all?

Speaker 5 (12:09):
Even an issue?

Speaker 3 (12:10):
One eight sixty six nine hundred one three seven is
the phone number, or you can always tap the red microphone.
There's a little microphone icon. If you're listening on our
free iHeartRadio app. You can download it for free and
then hold it down. It's like an old school walkie
talkie and you can leave a talkback message with your thoughts.

Speaker 5 (12:27):
Get you on next Christie Live. I'm gonna go home
and put my bumblebee costume on.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I'll dance around in the fields.

Speaker 5 (12:35):
People who remember that video.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
I remember it. Make sure to shoot some video and
we'll do it for the ground. There you go.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Wait to the Great Classic Kids one oh three point seven.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
My boy Dana and Benetia, who's been with the love
of his life since pretty much six months after he
met her, put a ring on it. Heard someone say
they've been waiting ten years for a ring, and he's like, well,
what are you doing with your life? Is there a
time limit when it comes to marriage? That's the question
this morning, Drew.

Speaker 9 (13:09):
Yeah, so in my opinion, everybody, everybody's different. Right, you
could be in love and not be married, or be
married later. I mean, if you have no idea they've
been through a divorce more than one time, oh, or
they want to make sure it's right, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
That's fair.

Speaker 9 (13:26):
I'll be honest with you. I've been I've been through
a divorced because one divorce and look, I'm not going
to propose some moll lady maybe till we hit just
feo years old or something that way, I know we're
not gonna get divorced. Yeah, I mean, who wants to
go through all that?

Speaker 3 (13:38):
That is a good point, Drew, And I appreciate you
bringing that perspective.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
To the table because I didn't even think.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
About that part right, I'm gonna call him. Come through, Drew,
come through. All right, Thank you so much. Good morning, Linda.

Speaker 7 (13:53):
What do you think the tistics are?

Speaker 10 (13:55):
If you know you want to get married and you
start dating someone, if you're not engaged by eighteen months,
then you need to get out. I've been with my
guy for twenty seven years and we're still not in gigs.
But that's my problem. You know, I've already had kids,
I've already been married.

Speaker 6 (14:11):
Yeah, it's no big deal.

Speaker 9 (14:12):
But if you really want to.

Speaker 10 (14:14):
Get married, and you're young and you want to have kids,
and I found eighteen months, if he doesn't ask you
by months, get out there.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
It is okay. All right.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
I'm a virgo.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
I like a concrete like rule or regulation, so eighteen
months it is. I can rock with that. Thank you
so much for joining the great debate. Anytime you want
to check in, join the fun. You can also hit
that red mic on our app ands in a talkback.

Speaker 11 (14:42):
Brannie d My thoughts are this, Maybe she had a
career and was too busy to even think about getting married.
Maybe that wasn't in their plans. You don't just have
to jump into marriage. You can take time. It doesn't
mean you're not building the relationship, and they might already

(15:02):
be living together.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
That is true. Thank you, Granny D is so wise.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
I thank you always so much for jumping in and
joining the fun, Granny D and leaving the talk packs.

Speaker 9 (15:11):
Good morning, good morning, it's bad.

Speaker 12 (15:13):
So I can relate to both sides. I was actually
a relationship for ten years, and I never proposed to
because I didn't want to marry that girl. But my
current wife, I've known her since second grade and we
just kind of like went in and out, like running
into each other and stuff like that. But all of
a sudden, when I was older, we developed a relationship.
I got married within a month in the South.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Well you know, you know, well that's what I think.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
You know. That seems to be the running theme for
this morning's great debate.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Yeah, Chrissie, no time limit is what pretty much everyone said.
And when you know, you just.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Know people know right away though, that is the running thing.
You've been with someone for a long time and they're playing,
you know, you'd be able to eat or get off
the pod? What better eat or get off the box?

Speaker 2 (16:03):
You know what that is? I can't say and keep
my job, but you better.

Speaker 5 (16:08):
I got you Okay.
