because that was the theme song from Bosom Buddies. Do
you remember that show from early eighties? Those two guys,

(00:31):
they wanted to live in an affordable all female hotel,
so they used to dress basically and drag Tom Hanks
early early Tom Hanks right there. Go back and watch
Buzzom Buddies. If you don't know exactly what I'm talking about,

you're never too young, either to make an impact or
a change, or to follow your dreams. I don't know

(01:28):
if you saw this, but Nathan Thomas, this kid just
became the youngest male professor Guinness World record holder. Now

and now he's pursuing a law degree.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Eighteen years old. What was I doing when I was
eighteen years old?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I think I was going to Aloney and Chibau and
maybe DeAnza, because you know, I've been to all the
Bay Area community colleges. I graduated from American and I
when I was seventeen, and then the rest was yeah
kind of Oh well, I wasn't a law professor.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Let's just say that, but.

in the parks.

You really have to be careful who you are dating
these days. Today the Crazy Train is.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Headed out to Florida where a man is behind bars
after a breakup. He was dating this woman for less
than a month and she decided, Okay, this isn't working
out for me.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
So what does he do?

Speaker 1 (04:26):
He breaks into her apartment and steals her Teddy bear.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
What do you mean a teddy bear. He's going to
jail for that.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
Yes, Producer Karina, he is, because it wasn't just any
old teddy bear.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
And of course he had all the excuses in the world.
I was never violent, never repressing nothing. I went to
the room and got my stuff, which is in the car.
The missing bear with a woman's son's ashes.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Oh no, the teddy bear had the ex girlfriend's late
sons ashes in the bear.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
And this is somebody that you just matt like less
than a month ago.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
He knew that her son's ashes were in the bear.
That is so janky. Oh gosh, you want to stay single?
Oh my gosh, it is unbearable. Wow, that is your
daily But I'm crazy news story ride the Crazy Trade.
Every weekday is seven ten nine sien It's on demand anytime.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Classic Kits one O three seven dot com Christie Live.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
So I have a quick question for you this morning,
and it may seem stupid, but it's a real question.
Who is paying five dollars for ice cubes? It's Classic
Kits one O three point seven, And I'm not talking
about a concert ticket to see ice cube. I'm talking
about frozen water in a box that ald. This grocery
store literally is trying to charge people four dollars and

(05:49):
ninety nine cents for four frozen ice cubes.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Not an ice bag, Christie.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
No, we're talking about, you know, like that ice cubes.
If you drink an old fashion like I do, you know,
sometimes you get that big block of ice.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yes, and it's kind of cool, but it's still frozen water.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
And I don't need to pay five dollars plus tax
for four cubes of frozen water.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
But all detried it, did it sell?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
They actually have to market down to two forty nine,
So I guess there are some people who are like, nah,
I won't pay five, but maybe two fifty. So it
got me thinking. And there was a list online of
things that people spend money for that are really like,
come on, save your money people. Number one, brand name dogs.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
What do you mean? Brand named dogs?

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Like I need to have a Schnitzer snicker to your poodle.
And so I'm gonna spend six thousand dollars on a
dog when you can just go get a dog yep,
for free from anyone's porch. I just walk up there,
grab their dog. Boom, Yep, there you go, that's true.
What else is on the list? Spending real money for
pretend money or pretend prizes in games? Will do this

(07:00):
a lot. They spend actual money for. Is it roadblocks?

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Yes, robots? That is real money. Yes. And you are
spending for fake stuff in a game and they spend
it on Fortnite as well. That's huge. That's real money
for like nothing.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yes, fancy coffins because I mean really, yeah, why are
we dropping money on the ten thousand dollars coffin when
you're just going to put it in the ground.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
No one's gonna see it after that, one's gonna see it.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
I don't think your friend or family member is gonna
be Upsee bottled water.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Oh I'm so guilty of that, Christy, we all are, yeah,
buy bottle water and I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
And this one I kind of disagree strip clubs because
well that's just fun.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
So if you have something.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
You want to add to the list one eight six
six nine hundred one oh three seven, what is something
that you see people spending money on and.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
You're just like, really, file that under the five dollar
ice cube? Like, why are you even just wasting your
money on that? In twenty twenty six.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
You can tap the red microphone on our free iHeartRadio
app if you want to leave a talk back as well.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I always love to hear from you. Christie Live.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
A grocery store is trying to sell ice cubes like
frozen water, four ice cubes for five dollars?

Speaker 2 (08:23):
What has this world come to?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
The crazy part is that you know somebody bought it.
It's Classic Kids one O three point seven mon name's Christy.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
And you always see people wasting money.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
On things like expensive bottled water, fancy dogs, real money
for pretend money for video games like roebucks. What is
something else you can't believe people are paying for? In
twenty twenty six, Frank, Well.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
You know what really hurts me is this fast tracked
so oh especially the toll lanes.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Get already paid for it, now, why are they charging
people more.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Money for it? Okay?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
And some of those fash track lanes are really expensive.
I was coming from my mom's in Fremont yesterday going
back home to Alameda, and it was like fifteen dollars
to go through Union City and Hayward.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
If you want to be in the fast lane and
not sit in traffic. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, some of those lanes are crazy. That is a
good point. Our taxes built the roads. Why are we
still paying.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Have a great day, Frank, have a wonderful day, Jerry.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
What is something you can't believe people are wasting money
on these days?

Speaker 2 (09:27):
What do you think?

Speaker 1 (09:28):
A soap bubble? Oh?

Speaker 2 (09:29):
That's true. People do spend a lot of money on
bath bombs or super expensive soap.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
I remember when my brother and I wanted bubbles in
our bath water. My mom would be like, go in
the kitchen and get the soap and put it in
the bath water.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Don does the same thing that mister bubbles does. Yeah,
good one.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Thank you so much, Jerry. Appreciate you jumping in and
joining the fun. Always love to hear from you in
the morning.
