Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now here's a highlight from Coast to Coast am on
iHeart Radio. Well, your book that you wrote with your
wife Trish, called Phenomena deals with some various aspects of
psychic abilities. Have you always dabbled in that arena too?
You know, I've always had an interest in mystical realms.
It just seemed natural to me. Mysteries of the unknown

(00:22):
are intriguing. But as I was growing up, I would
find out that many people were either not interested, or
they're non believers or fearful of their paranormal which I
didn't understand. And I'm not a psychic or a medium,
but I have psychic experiences. I think everyone does or

(00:43):
has the potential if the if the interest is there,
that's that's important for me. It's usually spontaneous. I don't
sit like a medium and call in spirits or you know,
come up with psychic experiences, but it just happens spontaneously.
For example, one night, our cat, this is years ago,

(01:06):
our cat Fox disappeared for two three days and that
cat never did that, and Tris said, I don't know
if he's ever going to come back. And I just
turned to her and said, I just had this feeling.
I said, he'll be back by midnight, Saturday, midnight. Here
he comes right. Yeah that we get a knock on
the back door and there's our next door neighbor holding

(01:29):
fox and unbelievable. That was a strange experience that, you know,
I guess the synchronicity or precognitions seeing the future. I
don't know how it happened, but it was just there. Well,
you're you're right. I think everybody has this innate ability
to develop their psychic awareness. Not everybody does it. Some

(01:52):
people are better than others. But it's what it's in
all of us, isn't it. Yeah, it is, Yeah, And
you're gonna have that sense of uh, you know, believing
in it's that you can develop and that it will
work for your benefit. That's that's the important thing. And um,
you know, if you're if you're convinced it's impossible, you know,

(02:15):
to see the future future event, you know, you're going
to approve that, you're going to prove that, uh that true,
you won't see it. But so it's you have to
have that expectations and you got to follow your impulses
like that was an impulse I had about the cat
and uh, you know I said it and I just
blurted for for no particular reason. You know who is

(02:35):
Wesley Meeks? Okay, Wesley. It is a former police officer
who uh is now a chief security officer in a Midland,
Texas hospital and Widley. Uh, Wesley, when he was ten

(02:58):
years old, had a UFO experience. He was it was
at fourth of July and he was going home from
a family event with his family and suddenly this light
was following the car. This was in rural Texas and
it's very dark out and uh, they're driving along and

(03:21):
it follows him for about five minutes or so. And
he doesn't think that they were abducted, the car was stopped,
or he has no memory of that at all. But
then they get home and shortly after that, this ten
year old kid starts leaving his body. Uh he and

(03:42):
he doesn't even know have any idea what's what's happening
to him. You'd never heard of out of body experiences
at all. But he would float up around the ceiling
and that he watched his brothers, one of his brothers
get up and go to the bathroom and then try
to wake him up. And that's when he zipped back

(04:02):
to his body and he told his family about his experience.
They sah, you're just dreaming. And so these continued to happen,
but he learned not to talk about it because they
just laughed at him. And he eventually, as he got older,
had the ability to program these experiences where he would

(04:24):
go out of his body, and he had some unusual experiences.
One of them, uh, he kind of a moundane trip.
Actually he went to a bark right, yeah, and he'd
never been to this bar, but he wanted to go there.

(04:45):
He programmed this to go to that bar because he
wanted to see what it was like inside, and then
he wanted then he wanted to go back later of course,
to see it to confirm that that's what it looked like.
So he went in this bar and he's moving around
and he's kind of first dodging people, and then he
really realizes they don't see him, you know, and uh,

(05:07):
it doesn't it feels like they touch when they passed by.
It feels like, you know, like a piece of cotton
or cotton candy or something pressing against him that they
don't notice at all. And he said, one man kind
of brushed his shoulder after he bumped into him, and
that was said. But then he did something unusual, and

(05:29):
this is this is controversial because most people who are
researchers of out of body experiences don't even believe this
is possible. But what he did is he was able
to manipulate matter, and the matter he manipulated was wine
glasses and beers that he was he was able to
knock down a bottle of beer and a wine glass,

(05:52):
and he went down the bar hitting these, knocking over
people's drinks, and everybody was jumping up. What's going on
because you can't see anybody right right exactly. And then
he comes to a man who sees him and who's
looking at him, and he's the guy said, oh, that's
really nice what you were doing. And he said, you

(06:14):
can see me. And that guy was out of body too.
Two out of body guys hanging out in a bar,
same the same bar, right yeah, And who knew, you
know that out of body people hang out in bars,
but there there were two of them. So that that
was his unusual one on a usual experience, and the

(06:35):
other one was he decided he had heard about the
Atascac record. This uh. And he had read about it
as as it being some huge mansions in the sky
somewhere else where there is all this knowledge of our
lives and our history and our past lives. And he
decided he wanted to try to go there and explore.

(06:58):
So he got out of body and he's suddenly moving
away from the earth, zipping through the cosmos, and it
was such a sense of freedom of just soaring, and
it was kind of like Star Trek when they just
go to warp speed, because all the stars were like, uh,

(07:18):
just extensions of zipping past him. And he got so
thrilled by this experience that he at first he thought
of forgot about what he was doing, and then he
remembered the uh, the Akashic record. And he comes to
this kind of a foggy shrouded area that he goes

(07:42):
through and then he sees this. He's like above this
huge mansion and he can't he can't see the whole thing.
It's enormous, and he's just looking down and there are
rooms that he can see through the top of them

(08:03):
and into the rooms and they're like the side. He
says that he describes them as the size of a
large hotel room each one and there's no furniture in
the either one any of them, but there's like a
vase or earn, a huge you know, standing like five
or six feet tall. And he said, they're just incredibly beautiful,

(08:25):
different materials that they're made out of, and they have
designs that are each one is unique. And he's looking
looking at that, and then suddenly he's approached by an
older woman, like in her sixties, and she says, do

(08:46):
you know what you're looking at? And he says, I've
never been here, but she says, those each person has
a room and in the vase is his life, experience,
audiences and destiny and uh and so what he was
seeing was that the each room had three sides and

(09:08):
the fourth wall was open out to a courtyard and
they just went on and on and on forever, and uh.
So he was talking to her and she was She
said to him, so people come here, but they don't
always in us. There are people here, you see, and
you see you can see people walk around the courtyard.

(09:31):
And then he also noticed there's like little balls of
light moving around. Some people come as or ass or
like orbs, and they don't want to be seen. Uh,
and you can also change your appearance. You could change
your race, you could change your age. And she said,
in fact, I'm a younger woman about your age, and

(09:52):
I come here just uh I prefer to be be
up here as an older guide. So you know, that
was an interest experience. And then then it gets even
more strange because they uh she she decides uh that
uh he feels that she's wants to make love to him,

(10:15):
and uh so, uh that's what happens there. It's like
they're floating above the above this mansion and making love.
And then he notices there's people all over doing the same.
So it uh it takes a little bit of his
oar turn. We didn't think about the akashak record as
a place where you meet strangers and make love. But

(10:38):
that's that's his story. Yeah, the astral plane has got
some benefits, doesn't happen? Yeah, and you know you think that, well,
you know he's married and uh did uh he is
that something that he was uh uh is it cheating right?
Is he cheating right? And what happens is he wrote

(10:59):
this whole star up on his computer and a couple
of weeks later, his wife is using his computer and
oh no, the story because he said, this is the
best ever. Never had anything like this happened to me
that ever. And she gets very upset. Yeah, I mean

(11:20):
she wouldn't talk to him for like two three days.
I don't blame her, do you. What is science doing now,
Rob in this arena? I mean years ago we had
the Ryan Institute, which is still around, but it was
affiliated with Duke University at the time, and they investigated
the paranormal. But what's going on these days? Do you
hear anything about science really doing anything? Well, there's the

(11:43):
Monroe Institute that investigates out of body Obe's right. Yeah,
They've been around for years and decades actually, And in fact,
after I had met Wesley Meeks and he told me
this story, and especially the one that I was interested

(12:03):
in was the one where he was able to manipulate
the matter, I talked to the head of the Monroe
Institute and I can't think of Nancy mcmanego, and she, uh,
I told her that experience and she just didn't believe it.
But then she did admit that she's only heard of

(12:24):
one other experience where somebody was able to manipulate matter,
and that was her stepfather, Robert Monroe, and what he
did was, one time he was out of body, he
pinched his wife's shoulder and the next day there was
a bruise on her shoulder where he had been But

(12:46):
she didn't feel it though at the time did she that.
I don't remember. I can't remember the story whether she
felt it or not, but the bruise, the bruise was there.
So but Nancy just did not want to believe the
story that you can go out of body and go
knocking over beer bottles and wineglasses. Yeah. Yeah, Robert would

(13:07):
go out of body at will. The guy was incredible, right, yeah, Yeah,
he really developed you know, there's different levels of experiences
that he talked about. Listen to more Coast to Coast
