Protagonisti sono due personaggi emblematici: un pescatore dell’isola di Lesbo che mette in vendita i cadaveri dei naufraghi e un viaggiatore testimonial del cittadino europeo medio, cinico perché indifferente e disinformato che nel confronto brutale col pescatore ritrova i sensi di colpa che sfociano in un naufragio umano collettivo. È il j’accuse di uno scrittore che spinge all’indignazione e tende a una presa di coscienza collettiva per ritrovare un’umanità perduta.
