I have decided to upgrade my original podcast name of Evolution Sucks to Mythic Journeys. Why? I wanted to still acknowledge the challenges of evolving while framing those challenges as lessons learned on our own personal mythic adventure; our own legendary journey. From the time we arrive here on earth taking our first lung full of air to that point in time when we draw our very last breath - we are living a journey. We are our own creation myth. In this podcast I will be sharing my own story of transformation as well as speaking to people who have made their own journey mythic. Welcome!
DOGS!
Yup
I'm going to be talking about our two dogs today - Thodin (aka Johnny) and Avalon (aka Betty) and how they actually have some very helpful wisdom to impart.
With so much chaotic energy in the world today, embracing simplicity and presence can assist us in staying grounded and calm. Who better to model that than a dog?
Take a short walk with me and these two big ranch dogs and maybe you too can see the benefit of embra...

Finally after a very long hiatus it feels good to drop another episode. Let's call it Episode 10.
I'm looking forward to having some new guests on the show as well as some previous guests who I really enjoy revisiting with.
So as before I leave nothing out and do my best to be transparent and open in the name of growth and evolution in hopes there may best be some kernel of wisdom or insight that you dear listener take away.
I hope...
Having taken a 2 month hiatus to deal with Life and all its majesty, I'm stoked to be back in the chair having a deep conversation with my guest Pieter Van Winkle. We dive into what is the divine feminine in relation to the masculine and and how can we men meet and hold the necessary energetic in our interactions with the feminine. We also talk about rites of passage for boys and the importance of "it takes a village"...
In this episode it gets raucous and lively and playful and full of laughter with some pretty explicit language thrown in as we try and solve the feminine/masculine dance of shifting beliefs and structures. I know you will find this episode quite compelling. Enjoy!

..."We focus on the container, not the kid. More often than not we never even meet the kid"
My guest this week is Robert Trout. Rob is a local friend and a member of our mens group we started some years ago. His businesses train parents how to communicate and live with their children in a more harmonious and respectful relationship and container. This idea of training the source is radical - working with the parents to creat...
In this episode I share more of my personal evolution and how teachers kept showing up, mostly in my dreams. Trauma can lie buried deep and even though the motivation and commitment to evolving is strong, the parasitic nature of trauma lingers and informs the behaviors. Join me as I share some insights from my spiritual journey.

My guest Ed Fox has had quite the spiritual journey starting when he left his home in the Bronx at age 18 knowing his path must lead him elsewhere.
From Dreaming at the pyramids in Teotihuacan Mexico, to traveling the country teaching Transcendental Meditation including teaching meditation to inmates at a prison in Texas, to having a successful coaching practice in Boulder, Colorado. This conversation dived deep into how we gain aw...
In a continuation of the conversation around the trauma of patriarchy, my good friend Tom Bender shares his perspectives on men and where we are and where we need to go to continue to evolve in a new more open hearted way. The old paradigm is clearly no longer serving men. I invite you to give a listen to our super interesting chat.
About Tom in his own words:
I graduated from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado in 1...

Dropping this episode on Valentines Day was purely coincidental. Yet what a perfect opportunity. Moving away from the patriarchy, how do we live from our heart? How do we listen while someone is speaking from ...
Once I had the full download of the extent of my trauma finding a way to release those experiences was the next step. I was introduced to a Jin Shin Tara trauma therapist right here in my hometown and after our initial intake we began the first of eight sessions.
To say those sessions were transformative would be an understatement and doesn’t give the props this experience truly deserves. Christine Palafox is aware, gen...
In this first episode, I share some of my story and my motivation for starting Evolution Sucks. Part of being a human on this planet means we have the opportunity to evolve and grow and change. Sometimes we get stuck in the suck, and sometimes we find our way out and back into the light, continuing to evolve and maybe just maybe live into a new awareness. Thanks for listening.
