After fighting back their immediate assailants, the troupe learned that they were summoned to Ravenloft by Ezra, God of the Mists, who mistook them for warriors. Ezra set them on a quest to find three items they’ll need to defeat the Dark One, and when they arrived at a tower, looking for a better vantage point, they were met by fellow earthling, Werner Herzog. To prepare them for their quest, Werner Herzog, Mayor of Happy Town, sent the troupe to see the class leaders to get outfitted with their basic equipment. Guy impressed Smokewing with his archery skills, Del and Tyler frightened the Rogues, Tyler was gifted a Death Loop Watch from the Watchers, and Adam’s armour design impressed the Fighters so much, he was assumed to be Chosen One. The troupe finally got outfitted in their fighting gear! Now that they’ve accepted the role of the Chosen One and his entourage, the troupe learned that they’ll have to defeat the three great evils over the next three days, or they’ll be executed as pretenders who took advantage of the prophecy. The only question now is: can they make it to the Black Knight and steal his helm before nightfall, and before the Black Knight comes for ...

The troupe finally entered the ruined temple of Ezra and began fighting off the Black Knight’s defences! Del took a stand against three Nightmare Dogs, but ultimately ran away as Adam distracted one of them with pizza, Guy accidentally released a slime monster when he hurled a sarcophagus lid at the pursuing dogs, and Tyler threw himself onto the lid of another sarcophagus, also containing a slime. Having made it past the slime mummies, the troupe met Rumpleforeskin, an intelligent skeletal horse who offered to help them defeat the Black Knight. Del stood atop the human pyramid of the troupe, removed the Knight’s helm, and stabbed him, thus beginning a desperate combat. Tyler grappled him, Del got locked in a psychic battle, Adam picked up the helm, which then chose to bond with him, and Guy died. Wait, is Guy actually dead-d...

The troupe called upon Ezra to bring Guy back to life, but he came back with ghostly hands and no memory and renamed himself Shadow Rogue. Del tried to rally them all to hurry up so they could get Tyler the medical help he urgently needed, but as they left the ruined temple, Adam got distracted: first by the squires, who he recruited to fight the Spider Folk, and then by the new voice in his head, a symbiote he named Shadow Master....

The troupe returned to Happy Town and were met with a parade in their honour. Shadow Rogue started praying to Ezra through song, while Tyler tried to strategize with Werner Herzog but instead scared Werner so much, that the mayor renounced his atheism and joined in singing praise to Ezra. Del became drinking buddies and good friends with Rumpleforeskin, and Adam questioned some wizards about gaining more power and convinced Shadow ...

The troupe had been captured by the Dark One’s servants and brought to the Skinless because they’d defeated the Black Knight. The Skinless liked Del’s skin the best, Shadow Rogue started to remember various pop culture references, and Adam convinced a recently-skinless Peter Nutter to let them out of their cage only to promptly eat him to the horror of the others. The troupe ventured into the caves to save Werner Herzog and fought off some Skinless, a werewolf, and a demon! Del was unintentionally hurt by Shadow Rogue, first when she high-fived him without thinking and again when he tried to heal her, Adam picked up a decapitated Skinless head to supposedly check for traps but then tasted its brain, and Tyler found a mysterious door and offered the laurel crown to Shadow Rogue. The troupe went through the hell door and faced down a demon to save Werner. Adam used Werner as a human shield, who was then partly eaten by the demon, Del saved Tyler by knocking the demon into a cauldron of bloodr, and Shadow Rogue pinned the demon beneath the surface using his Immovable Rod. The troupe were once again met by the shadowy figure, who declared that the Dark One—furious about the defeat of the Skinless—had removed the Spiderfolk and brought forth a more dangerous horror: the Lizardfolk. They returned to Happy Town to find the Skinless reintegrating with the citizens and met Paul Rudd, the new mayor. Tyler faced the permanence of his new appearance, he and Shadow Rogue were convinced that Adam would reform ...

While the rest of the troupe had been setting sail, Shadow Rogue watched a puppet show of the events of his life, albeit a bit skewed toward Ezra’s best guesses, before popping back to the troupe with a general sense of his life before his amnesia. Adam was gifted a Bag of Holding from the Watchers, the troupe was gifted a shield, which Tyler wielded, and, as Pteranodons dropped more Lizardfolk upon them, Del threatened the squire ...

The troupe managed to survive the blast from the squire’s gems! Shadow Rogue received a Lifewell tattoo from the Mists, Adam congratulated Hazel on taking a life and encouraged her to keep doing evil things, Tyler overheard their conversation and confronted Adam about having not reformed his evil ways, and he, Del, and Shadow Rogue got sick of Adam’s behaviour and started making their way up the ziggurat. The troupe reached the temple at the top of the ziggurat and decided to wait for Adam to join them. Del did a card trick to pass the time, but was really bad at it, Tyler disguised himself as a Lizardfolk to venture into the temple, and Shadow Rogue proposed that they pretend to be prisoners to get further inside. When Adam—now styling himself as ‘Shadow Nemesis’—finally arrived, he mistook Del and Shadow Rogue for actual prisoners...

The troupe fought the chieftain of the Lizardfolk! Shadow Nemesis tried to eat Hazel after she accidentally shot him in the eye but Tyler calmed him with a healing potion, Shadow Rogue got his hands on the lizard but his attack had no effect, Tyler struck the lizard with his greatsword but the sword shattered, and Del—realizing they might need more than physical weapons—reached into a glowing bloody basin, pulled out the Reality Bl...

Having defeated the Lizard Mayor, the troupe set out back to Happy Town.
