It's been 25 years since Trevor Deely was last seen on route home from a Christmas party in Dublin. In the years since, few new leads have been uncovered despite dedicated efforts from Gardaí and the Deely family. Our "Unsolved" series looks back at the case and explores a fresh appeal from those closest to him.

It’s 40 years since ‘Baby John’ was found naked, shoved between rocks, with his tiny neck broken on White Strand beach in Cahersiveen, Co Kerry. There were 28 separate knife wounds on his body, most of them shallow, hesitation wounds, in which the knife was pulled back at the last second. A local couple, who were arrested on suspicion of murder but released without charge, have denied they are the child’s parents.
