In our penultimate episode, we explore the "19 Unwritten Rules of Serving" as provided by Thrillist.com, and, to our surprise, they get most of them right. Also, did Kevin get a 1-star Yelp? I hope so.

As we wind down the series, we get love letters from across the globe, and it gives Grant and Kevin a raging partial. Also, a long time listener sends us the news from the Pacific North West about their plans to make hours a little more reliable for waiters. You know, like a real job!

Long time listener (like... long time) Maria says goodbye with a litany of topics we had no idea we wanted to talk about. But we do. Also, some old bats besmirch a burnt burger.

Kev comes back from Montana. Or Wyoming. Or Iowa. I dunno, one of those. We also give "Anon" and his sister a little life lesson on our personal mantras for waiting tables. Knowledge so good that millennial chicks will tattoo them in a script font on their rib cage. 

It's schedule release time! So, along with finding out when you work, you also get to deal with all the petty bullsh*t that goes along with 90 shift working employees needing suddenly go "out of town". Also, it's slow in the store lately, but is it really... "slow"?

After a brief stint in the emergency room, Grant talks about calling out for being a boss. Also, is there really a need to be so damn pretentious about food you're going to poop out in 8 hours?

How long before the new guy stops living on "New Guy" probation? Sure, he may be great at his job, but how long until he can get in on request offs, inside jokes, and hooking up with coworkers? Also, Nick talks about  being accosted for credit card declines.

First off, heads up, we get political. After that though, it's the usual show, except instead of busy nights and high tickets, it's a f*cking ghost town cause everybody is outside grilling. Our show is still good anyway.

It's so hot up in herrre. Still, there's a show that needs to be done! Ever have that guy who comes back to work after a time away and you wonder "how the f*ck did you get your job back?" We do. Also, kids aren't always SO bad. 

Sometimes, things are really boring to everybody else but Grant, and this is one of those times. Also, let's talk restaurant training videos, and a new NYC law impacting servers sent to us by a long time listener. 

I get it. People like to show off in front of their friends. But guess what? Tearing down or demeaning your server is not a good look for anybody, and makes you look beta af. You aren't a cool dude when you do that. Also, we finally hear Kevin's bad Yelp story.

So, it's always nice to be rendered speechless after 15+ years of waiting tables. Amanda joins us to run down just what it took to shock her at a table. Spoiler: It's not pleasant. Also, let's take a few shots at Yelp, shall we?

After 187 shows, we've gathered some really great listeners. People who write in with comments, complaints, and updates. Today is especially rad, because we have a response to our show "You Could Be A Woman!", as well as an update on a Tale of Terror from months ago! Sometimes you guys make this job too damn easy.

In this flashback episode, Grant, Kevin, and Nick run down the wounds left festering from another year's Mother's Day Sunday. Life was so much simpler back before Moms, ya know? Anyway, we'll be back next week with that fresh ish for you.

It's always important to know oneself. You know, be really in touch with your inner self. It's even better when somebody else tells you your inner self unprovoked. Also, Grant runs down why you should always look at your tips as you get them, so you know who to hate next time.

Our show last week on the "dumbest question you've ever been asked while serving" harbored some great responses, and plumbs the depths of human ignorance. Also, we get an anonymous Tale of Terror that will have you rolling in your infidelity, and begging for a personal keg.

A new theme bar is dropping into the heart of Los Angeles. Would you ever put on a shiny suit and dance for nickels? Also, we have a contender for dumbest question ever asked a server!

A Yelp can tell you a lot about a restaurant, but it can also tell you a lot about the psyche of the person leaving it. Like the guy who said I didn't keep his drinks refilled when he clearly had half a glass left. I know who you are, and I'll find you you.

It's not the lack of tip that stings. I'll get over that. But when they leave you a note letting you KNOW they know they are supposed to tip and just don't? That's the stinger. Also, uniform changes aren't...uniformly... accepted.
