The Natural Heart Doctor Show

The Natural Heart Doctor Show

Cardiovascular disease is the #1 killer in the world. Millions suffer from heart attacks, strokes, atrial fibrillation and heart failure. Doctors rely on pharmaceuticals and surgeries, but these approaches are loaded with risks and side effects. The good news is there’s a better way to heart health. That is what The Healthy Heart Show is all about: Living your life without more pharma and surgeries. Our goal is cardiac longevity and the 100 Year Heart. On The Healthy Heart Show, you will get access to a diverse group of pioneers in the holistic health industry who are educating the masses on how to prevent and reverse disease naturally. Our hosts and guests will share the latest information in nutrition, lifestyle, mental wellness, advanced testing, and evidence-based supplements all in an effort to support the 100 Year Heart. Dr. Jack Wolfson and Dr. Lauren Lattanza are your guides to taking back your health by exposing the pitfalls of conventional medicine and unlocking the health secrets of our ancestors. Dr. Jack Wolfson began his medical career as a typical cardiologist seeing dozens of patients, writing prescriptions, and performing procedures. Upon reflecting on this experience, he noticed a pattern similar to a revolving door. He could alleviate symptoms but never really cure his patients. Upon meeting his wife, Dr. Heather Wolfson (a chiropractic physician), he was introduced to the world of disease prevention through nutrition, lifestyle, and vitamin supplementation. From then on his goal was to shift the disease-care paradigm and change the world. Dr. Lauren Lattanza earned her Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Her passion is helping patients discover the root cause of their conditions, not just treat their symptoms. Dr. Lattanza currently sees patients in-person at our Natural Heart Doctor office in Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as virtually through NaturalHeartDoctor.com. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired; if you have not gotten answers from your doctor, just more pills that make you feel terrible; if you are ready to make a change and be your own health advocate; then listen to The Healthy Heart Show with Dr. Wolfson and Dr. Lattanza and begin your journey to health, energy, and the 100 Year Heart.

Your LDL can drop dramatically on a statin, and that impressive-looking number still will not tell you whether it actually lowered your chance of a heart attack or fixed what is damaging your arteries. This video shares his SAFE statin audit, a four-step framework for evaluating a statin prescription before you commit to it for life. He explains why absolute risk reduction matters far more than the relative risk numbers most patien...

You can eat clean, exercise daily, and have a normal cholesterol panel, and still be walking around with real cardiovascular risk that the panel never shows you. This video explains why a standard cholesterol panel cannot tell you whether oxidative stress, inflammation, insulin resistance, or toxin exposure are already damaging your arteries. He breaks down why root cause cardiology looks beyond total cholesterol and LDL to find ou...

In this episode of The Natural Heart Doctor Show, I sit down with Catharine Arnston, PhD, a friend of nearly a decade and the founder of ENERGYbits. Our introduction was not exactly professional. My one-year-old daughter crawled off at a conference and came back with green all over her mouth, having helped herself to a bag of Catharine's tablets. That moment is a decent summary of the whole argument: this is food, not a supplement,...

In this solo episode of The Natural Heart Doctor Show, I take on one of the most common questions I hear: what do you actually do about high blood pressure? My answer starts by reframing the reading itself. A high number is a sign that something deeper is going on, and one factor that too often gets missed is nitric oxide, a gas your body makes that signals the muscle in your artery walls to relax. When those vessels open, blood mo...

In this conversation with Patti Wartella-Simab on Coffee with Patti, I share how I went from mainstream cardiologist to the Natural Heart Doctor. I talk about my father's illness, the moment a young chiropractor helped me see health differently, and why I have come to believe the body is built to be well when we take away what harms it and add back what it needs. I keep returning to one simple idea: too much bad stuff, not enough g...

In this episode, I sit down with Doug Evans to make the case for the humble sprout as one of the most underrated foods for your heart. Most people push sprouts to the side of the plate as a garnish. Doug and I think that's a mistake.

We talk about broccoli sprouts and sulforaphane, the plant compound that research has tied to the NRF2 pathway, glutathione production, and your body's own antioxidant and detox defenses. For me, that m...

In this conversation, Ari Whitten and I go straight to the cellular level to answer a question most of cardiology never asks: where does your energy actually come from, and what happens to your heart when it runs low? Ari walks through the work of Dr. Robert Naviaux and the ‘cell danger response,’ the idea that your mitochondria are constantly reading the environment and deciding whether to make energy or switch into de...

Cardiologists spend their careers talking about cholesterol. On this episode, I wanted to go one level deeper, down to the cell membrane, because that's where heart health is really decided. Justine Stenger has spent years studying phospholipids like phosphatidylcholine, the fats that build the membranes wrapping every one of your cells and your mitochondria.

We talk about why the membrane, not the nucleus, acts as the brain of the ...
