God is merciful, loving, gracious, and just. He offers all a chance for a relationship or rejection. Those who choose Him through Christ are declared righteous and avoid the judgment of the unrighteous. Only by His grace can we be counted righteous. God’s covenant with Abraham reveals His pattern of grace: the Lord gives us a new identity, secured by His promises, which produces wholehearted obedience. We are secured, and God’s promises are certain for us, not because of our performance, but through faith in Christ.
