A new report from Graceada Partners, titled Equal Footing, used federal data to compare performance between the U.S. Southeast with the Inland West (states west of the Mississippi, sans California, Oregon and Washington) and discovered some startling findings. Ryan Swehla, co-founder and president of the value-add real estate investment manager, joins the program to explain the report’s findings. (10/2026)

The World Green Building Council estimates 80 percent of the buildings in use in 2050 are already standing, which implies real estate investors and managers are inclined to retrofit buildings containing good skeletons and foundations, for both environmental and financial reasons. Farmland has been facing some headwinds in the form of tariffs, shifting government regulations, the rising cost of fuel and fertilizer, labor shortages and even climate change.
