Don’t worry, the soul is there, John would not let me do otherwise. We talk about research, culture and how miscommunication and thinking what we presume are normal cause a lot of difficulties for everyone.

The previous episode signalled the beginning of the end. Putin is now set on a path that will inevitably lead to a new time of troubles in Russia. He's now cracking down on vatniks, but we're at a point where each new crackdown increases the unreast more than it put's down. And because of the system he's built, he can't do otherwise.

In the past few days, Russian callousness and casual racism has led to conflicts with Azerbaijan on an unprecedented scale. Traditionally viewed as one of Kremlin's closest allies, Baku is now fed up with how it's imperialist neighbour is treating Azeri nationals and Aliyev is striking back. A lot of what's happening is amoral, dirty and outright petty - but it hits Kremlin straight into national pride.

No surprises there, because why would people's property be of any value of the state if the lives of Russia's citizens are considered worthless by the kremlin elite. Russian official propaganda in the person of Margarita Simonyan threaten to blow up Berlin yet again. Vatniks don't even pretend that anything of the sort could actually happen, while, as usual, complaining about how in Russia, anything that can get stolen, will.

Russia's not taking the peace talks seriously - you can easily tell by whom they've sent there, which is not lost on the Z-vatniks as well. Girkin's posted a bunch of new analysis about what's going on in the front, and Russian economists predict further deteoriation of the economy. (Shocking, I know.)

Vatnik mindspace is full with discussions about the peace talks. One of Girkin's closest buddies, Pavel Gubarev, who used to be the first governor of the so-called DPR has gone completely insane, but even other vatniks now outright admit that a military victory for Russia has become impossible...but they also hate the possibility of a ceasefire.
