Pastor Ray Bentley says, we all eventually learned the benefits of being in God's will. Experience will teach you that the best place on planet Earth you can be. No matter what the circumstances are. Is in the middle of the will of God. I would rather be in the wilderness, in the center of God's will, than in the midst of luxury and lavishness, out of the will of God.
Pastor Ray Bentley says the first step in getting the help we need is realizing we need help. Maybe the very first time we were really honest in our lives that we will never forget is when we heard the gospel and we finally admitted that I am lost and I need to be found, that I am a sinner and that I am broken, and that I need to be forgiven and heal.
Life comes with suffering. It's often not optional. But pastor Ray Bentley helps us see suffering through spiritual eyes. The very fact that your life has been full of trials and tribulations and trouble is a sign that you are suffering because you've hung in there and hung on to the Lord and your faith to this very day and hour.
Pastor Ray Bentley on patience. We're not a very patient culture. Would you agree with that? I have so many times come to my 11th hour where, Lord, you've got now we've run out of time. Lord, you got to deliver now. It's got to happen now. If it doesn't happen now, it's all over. And guess what I've learned from personal experience.
We've been bought with a price. We know that from Scripture. But pastor Ray Bentley says it's not only that we belong to the Lord. It's all we have. And all we are. Everything that we have is from the Lord. It's given from the Lord. Sometimes we forget. We thought it was ours. But in fact, it's the Lord's. Whatever we have been given is a gift.
Life is filled with many, many decisions. Any piece of life lived outside the will of our father in heaven. All of a sudden, life becomes a confusing mystery. And that's why we need to learn to trust in his will. Pastor Ray Bentley urges us to keep our eyes on God and His desire for our lives. Let us choose to follow and obey the law.
Today, pastor Ray Bentley warns us about speaking evil of someone, no matter how it's packaged. Most people think that it's okay to pass on information or gossip or demeaning talk. As long as well. I didn't want to say anything. But after all, it is true. As if. Because what we are saying is true, it now gives us license to be able to bring other people down.
Pastor Ray Bentley on Harmony in the home. If within your own home, there is conflict and there is battles, and there is tension, and there is just pressure, and it's like a war that's going on. Recognize this is spiritual in nature. There is a spiritual battle taking place. You as a believer have to claim that territory for the Lord Jesus Christ.
When it seems like our lives are just an interconnected string of mess ups. Pastor Ray Bentley says there's good news. There is always more grace for the next step of your spiritual walk or journey. Even when we blow it, even when we sin, even when we fail, there is still a stream of love, grace and tenderness, forgiveness and mercy and affection toward us.
Are you a bit hesitant to ask the Lord for what you need? Pastor Ray Bentley says, God wants us to come to him with our request. Ask your father in heaven. You have not because you ask not. Why don't you pray and go to him and bring your needs to the Lord? If we would just ask the Lord about them, he will bless us and and listen, if it's right.
If you want more wisdom, then become more pure. The more pure that we become, the more God will give his wisdom to us. To live an impure life is the height of foolishness and folly. It is the opposite of wisdom. Today, pastor Ray Bentley points out the paths to heavenly wisdom. Heaven can start taking root within us, not only in our heads, but in our hearts.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Pastor Ray Bentley says wisdom comes from our respect for God. One of the first things that the Bible says is to fear the Lord, but to honor him, Revere him, to love him, and to adore him, he's awesome. So revering God, it is a coming into a deep awe of God and reverence for God and love for God.
From time to time, we've all let a careless comment slip. But today, pastor Ray Bentley has a warning for those who continually let their words get out of control. If you have a tongue that is uncontrolled, you can literally start a forest fire in a human sense. You can devour multitudes of lives and literally it can be as hot as the fires of hell itself.
Proverb says, pleasant words are like a honeycomb. Sweetness to the soul, health to the bones. Pastor Ray Bentley comments, the power of speech is one of the greatest gifts that God has given to human beings. If you will believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and then if you will say with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, then thou shalt be saved.
God is omniscient. He knows everything. Pastor Ray Bentley points out why that fact is so encouraging. I want you to know this. Your dad in heaven loves you so much. He knows you how you're wired. He knows what would make you the most complete, happy, and fulfilled. And guess what? If you will delight yourself in the Lord. The Bible says he also will give you the desires of your heart.
We are saved by grace through faith. The Bible is clear about that. It's not by anything we've done. And yet, pastor Ray Bentley says, the Bible also points out works are still important. James comes along and says, hey, if you have faith or belief, but you don't have works in your life that demonstrate that you actually believe, he says, then you have a dead faith and that won't save you.
Insights on attitude today from pastor Ray Bentley. What's the best attitude of the heart you can have? It's to have a merciful heart. Jesus was known for being merciful. He was known to the sinners as a friend of sinners because he was merciful. He got in trouble with the religious leaders for the same reputation being too mercy spread.
Albert Einstein said, make things as simple as possible, but no simpler. Today, pastor Ray Bentley makes the Christian life simple. If we would live by this one royal law to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, we wouldn't need all the other laws that there are. Basically, the reason we have so many laws is because nobody loves one another.
Pastor Ray Bentley begins today with a word about our purpose in life. We are here to share grace with all and the beauty of the Lord is that he ignores national differences. God wants to raise us all up and treat us all as royal sons and daughters. I guess the true test of our belief in grace is how we really treat people loving them, befriending them, being a witness of the love and the grace of Jesus Christ spreading.
Pastor Ray Bentley says, our love for God on the inside reveals itself in the love we display on the outside. The way we treat other people reveals what we really believe about God. In other words, you cannot separate human relationships from divine relationships if they are a Christian, we love them because Christ is in them. If they're not a Christian, we still love them because Christ died for them.
