We often talk about how busy we get at this time of year and there is a lot of truth in that.
We can get so busy doing Christmas that we miss the true Season of what Christmas is.
We get to a place where there is no room in our inn and if we aren’t careful, we will miss the true meaning of Christmas!
We’re preparing this ourselves and our hearts…We’re decking the halls and doing our part in preparation and anticipation for the celebration of Jesus coming down! Because he came down, my life went up!
Growing in Godly wisdom often brings worldly wealth!…but the goal is not to get wealth…it’s to get Godly Wisdom!
We are designed by God to connect with others
“Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone…’” Genesis 2:18a
Are we being wise or foolish with our words? Are we speaking life, or are we speaking death with our words?
Pride is the first sin, and it is serious! Isaiah 14 says Satan’s pride cast him out of Heaven as an angel. He thought he was worthy of being worshipped; he thought there was no need to follow the ways of God, and then in the Garden of Eden, he got the first family to believe that they could be like God and what happened? The fall of mankind. Pride is not good!
We’ve all done some foolish things that have damaged our
relationships wrecked our lives and wasted our time…
If that’s you, I want to encourage you by letting you know
on even though we may have wasted our life in the past, we can make the most of our time going forward.
God doesn't have to give us more time…we can
redeem our time.
We can do so much in the time that we got left, that it
makes up for the time that we wasted!
We’re humans on Earth, He’s God in Heaven, and we’re to bring His Kingdom and do His will while we’re here on Earth…as it is in Heaven.
I think the reason we don’t get excited about heaven is we have a faulty image of it. All we get are these lame pictures from Hollywood where everything is bright white and in the clouds is hanging out in the sky and we’re all chubby little cherubs playing harps!
That sounds like hell! I can’t think of anything more boring than to be in a colorless place wearing diapers, having to play the harp!
Heaven - this is talking about the eternal destination for those who have placed their faith in Jesus!
Heaven is not an accident. It’s prepared. And who is heaven prepared for? It says, for you. God is preparing it for us - To be a part of His family. Heaven is the presence of God. But it is a place. And Jesus says where I’m going I want you to go too.
When you think of the greatest cosmic questions that most people want to know the answer to in this life, it’s more likely, “What happens after this life?” And if so, how can we know where we’re headed? Does any of it matter? Or should we just #yolo it until we’re dead? We’re looking for answers about what happens after death. I’m telling you, there is much life after death that can be had for every one of us!
