Decomposition Podcast

This is an iconic song with an iconic video.  We didn't know the words to this song before sitting down to record this episode, but it feels like we picked a good one.  Babylon? The edge of oblivion? Strong words?

The song is excellent, and we are all very glad that it wasn't a ballad.  

We are also not sure that it was appropriate to have on Alvin and the Chipmunks or Veggie Tales

Oh Lindsey, where do we even begin.  He hardly even tried with this one, and now it is a decades-spanning Christmas classic.  Easily the fewest lines per song we have ever discussed.  Plus Barking!!

Ronald James Padavona, AKA Ronnie James Dio, died a heavy metal legend in 2010.  He left the world a great gift in the form of a little song called "Holy Diver," which feels like a parody of itself. 

AllMusic called Dio's work "unquestionably stellar songwriting."

Teresa thinks this song is "fantastically written."

WE'RE BACK, BABY!  And we are quarantined, and thus have time to occasionally record an episode for you guys.  2011 was huge for the band fun.  Thats "fun period."

Remembering the name of this band is difficult. It isn't Walk Off The Earth... they are a much better band. Walk The Moon wrote a song that has already been written by several other bands from the 80's.
Why do white people love this song so much? Do white people love this song? Did Brad invent a stereotype?
