Well, it's only been a few internet years! So far 2020 has been a school of hard knocks and I can't say how much support I've felt from those of you who have listened, mentioned me, or reached out. Getting to this mental point is something I don't have experience with and I'm sorry for taking so long to come back. I hope this is a window into my journey right now and that you'll join me as I come back slowly...

Ok, so I am sort of waving the SOS flag...if one even exists. This is the second part of last week’s episode. I know a lot of us, if not all of us are now quarantined and I'm not going to lie, I am truly, truly struggling. It was so good talking to Maria and Erin from Feminists Without Mystique! We talked today about something I've really wanted to talk about when I found the right people. Maria and Erin approach the topic of Whiteness in our current US context with grace and a little humor. It's a super nuanced topic, but one that needs to be talked about! Black History Month somehow sneaked up on me this year! I want to talk to you about some of my feelings towards Black History Month and my ideas about how to observe all the US heritage months in a way that everyone feels seen while I work on my MMIWG2S series.
