For decades, the Georgia Guidestones were nothing more than kitschy roadside Americana…a curiosity people visited for fun, intrigue…and the occasional pagan ritual. Nicknamed “America’s Stonehenge,” the Guidestones' arrival was just as mysterious. As the legend goes, they were commissioned by a secretive funder named R.C. Christian, who wanted the stones inscribed with ten “commandments” for surviving the apocalypse. But a lot of people didn’t believe that story.
