Meanwhile - Steve, Donna, and Noah are in a prank war that is both too big and too small at the same time. David meets a girl and loses a girl. Dylan has to serve his community service and, as per usual, has to learn several lessons to grow as a person.

She also wants to help the gang focus on Dylan and his recovery. Dylan insists he can handle it on his own, Kelly inserts herself into the conversation in a way that upsets Matt, and the rest of the group just tries to help wherever they can. Dylan follows through on his revenge plans against Tony Marchette, only to find out he’s been dead. Dylan’s arrested for breaking and entering an innocent couples’ home, and the truth comes out about his current issues. At least with Gina and Matt, and Kelly is furious about attorney - client privilege. Meanwhile, Steve has to go to small claims court for his scam from last week, and Donna and Noah housesit for her parents and thro...

Steve somehow has enough material to give a 2 day seminar on how to pick up women at the PPAD. He convinces Matt, Noah, and Janet to film segments for his show, which Donna and Kelly see. Kelly freaks out about Matt flirting with her and living in her ex-fiance’s house. Dylan can’t get away from Tony with a ‘y’ and buys another illegal gun about it. And Gina continues to mess with Donna’s life and no one can catch her on it.

Kelly is forced into making a decision for her grandfather, while still being heavily influenced by Jackie’s and her emotions. Steve struggles to accept his mother, and won’t talk about it with his friends even though Samantha gave him permission to and encouraged him to. Kelly is in a new love triangle between Matt and Dylan, and so is Noah, though unknowingly, between Donna and Gina. Meanwhile, Dylan is inserting himself in David’s troubles (more on that in the show), and Steve’s mom calls him out on the direction of the Beverly Beat. Kelly’s mom shows up too, but not for David’s legal troubles. Kelly calls her out on her behavior and unfortunately faces the consequences of her own actions.

The show is really testing us this week - Noah passed out drunk while driving and thinks he committed vehicular homicide. David hooks up with an underage radio show listener and is accused of statutory rape. Kelly and the gang finally turn against Val, and only come back when David reveals Val's traumatic history. AND VAL LEAVES. AND DYLAN MCKAY SHOWS UP.
