This Week In Video Games

This week I've been playing a lot of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and I've been getting lost in Hyrule. Also this week I'm going to round up the PlayStation showcase from this past week, plus we've got all the latest news, plus a new game from Bungie to talk about.

This week I've been checking out Resident Evil 4, a fantastic new remake from Capcom. Continuing the horror-theme I've also been playing Dredge, a great new indy game that blends fishing and horror. We had a couple of showcases this week with Nintendo's Indy World, plus Street Fighter 6, and the Tears of the Kingdom final story trailer, which was a blockbuster. 00:00 Introduction

This week I've been checking out Tchia, a new indie platform adventure game. I've also been getting very hyped for Tears of the Kingdom, and Nintendo showed off some gameplay for the first time. I also managed to play some of the Diablo IV beta, and I'll bring you my hands-on impressions of that later on.

This week I've been catching up on some classic Metroid releases including Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion, both recently added to Nintendo Switch. This week I've been playing a lot of Destiny 2, given the new Lightfall expansion is out. Today I'll run through my first impressions of Lightfall, the campaign, post-campaign and quality of life improvements. I'll also round up the latest gaming news including a release date and showcase for Starfield.

This week I've been playing the monster-hunting game called Wild Hearts from Koei Tecmo and EA. I've also been checking out Atomic Heart, plus we had a State of Play from Sony. We've had some big news related to EA, with some big players pulling out, plus I'm looking forward to Destiny 2 Lightfall coming next week.

This week we've had big Nintendo news with the latest Nintendo Direct including a new Zelda trailer, Pikmin 4 news, plus loads of demos and Metroid Prime! Today I'm going to round up all the biggest news from Nintendo, including Kirby Return to Dreamland, Octopath Traveller 2 and more. I'll also be bringing you my thoughts on A Space for the Unbound, plus rounding up some of the best demos from Steam's Next Fest 2023.

I've been going back to some games I missed or fell off from including Hitman 3, plus getting back into Elden Ring. This week I've been playing Overwatch 2, the new iteration on Overwatch from Blizzard. I've also been diving deep into the nostalgia zone with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Cowabunga Collection, plus checking out a brand new point and click adventure in the Excavation of Hob's Barrow, which is perfect for spooky season. CD Projekt also announced some VERY ambitious plans this week regarding Witcher and Cybperpunk sequels.
