Mum and son had a choice between two 'J's this week: a sociopathic incel who goes on a murderous rampage in a clown mask or a Golden Age crooner having a jaunt around London in the autumn years of her career. Oddly, Mum plumped for the latter, so we're off to see the Judy, the wonderful Judy of Garland... as reimagined by Renée Zellweger. What did they make of it? Was there a rainbow ice cream special?

After a mini-hiatus caused by a combination of lack of tempting movies, busy schedules and maladies, the dream team returns to sample the new adolescent stoner sex comedy, Good Boys, and hopefully a new line-up of ice creams. After sensibly sidestepping Midsommar, Mum rejoins Conrad for a sweet homecoming party for a doll. It starts out with pink cake, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, but quickly generates into girls wandering around the Warrens' seemingly endlessly warren of floral wallpapers corridors with faulty torches shrieking at some jump scare or other. Did the two manage to keep hold of their ice cream? And what flavours did they have?
