Dead Ends

Were a little tired this week but we did into why we’re not super excited about this weeks episodes. It’s the end of Part 2 and Satan comes to Earth! Unfortunately it ends up being not super exciting. We discuss how great Luke Cook is, the unused potential of the trickster devil, Nicks betrayal and redemption and Lilith’s upgrade. We also talk about the Lord of the Rings.

We won’t have a new episode next week but we’ll be back in two weeks with the first two episodes of Riverdale season 4!

We’re almost at the end of Part 2 as Sabrina gets godlike powers and sends herself crashing back down to earth. We discuss the Phoenix parallels (both the mythical being and X-men character), Nick being down bad, the under explored potential of mortals living with witches, the hierarchy of the witch world, Hilda’s (literal) body count and the mandrakes embodiment of Sabrina.

We hit some low points this week as Riverdale picks up from a midseason break and starts spinning its wheels. We discuss the long awaited bear attack, the increased separation between our main characters, Archie refusing to learn the right lessons, Jughead crossing lines and scolding the serpents, Betty living through hell (but trying her best to change it), and Veronica and Reggie's romantic pairing.
