Mino and Franco play songs live, work on songs live, make mistakes live and talk about music and other things.
In memoriam:
John Tilton
A song by Mino. Michael on pedal steel, Franco on bass.
Mino sings two of his classics with ethereal, gorgeous, pedal steel provided by neighbor, Michael.
Someone Who Really Loves you
Dancing In the Stars
Mino and Franco are still alive and still own guitars...and apparently Mino still has a sofa. We are glad to have made it back and hope to see you next week. Thank you for tuning in.

Mino and Franco discuss music teaching, the difference between guitar students and violin students, music reading and Franco's new book, "Easy to Play Guitar Trios," published by Mel Bay. Mino learns to play the 3rd guitar part to one of the pieces, "Julia Delaney," while Franco plays the melody. Later, they visit a couple of Mino's original songs which they had not played in a long time.

Looks like we still remember how to play guitar, more or less.
The four of us make a pretty good group of song writers, don't you think? 47 minutes of live music and conversation you won't hear anywhere else.

Is it a sign of humility or egotism to release unpolished recordings? Mino and Franco discuss this as well as the fact that cramped spaces makes for better music, play two songs of Franco's inspired by domestic bliss, explore a little Billy Joel and do some nice instrumental improvising.
Music starts at about 6min. Thanks for listening.
We had a little dry spell but last night we sat down and made ourselves make music. No one was allowed a sip until we'd played a note.
This is a recording of Mino writing, or uncovering a song. Or, perhaps, he's remembering a song. Socrates thought that learning is really recollecting.
Thanks for listening. Send words of encouragement to:

A beautiful song Mino recorded a few years ago with his wife, Lexia, Dominic the engineer and plenty of reverb.
A little boogie-woogie style tune by Mino. Franco on keys and bass. Enjoy!
Mino and Franco chat about the recording process and listen to three of their Monday night tracks. Songs by Mino Christante

Recorded live in a warehouse a couple of years ago...we think. Mino ran across it on his laptop and Franco added some bass, percussion and keyboards.
Words and music by Mino Christante.
A cozy, long session in the music cabin on a cold dark night. Two songs by Mino and a couple Dylan interpretations. Franco mushes on Mino's new keyboard set to "organ."
We like feedback. What songs should we play next? mondaynightswithmino@protonmail.com
Thank you for listening.
Late one night, too late as usual, we sat down for two songs in Mino's music cabin: "Light as a Feather" and "Don't Push the River."
Recorded live - no cuts...no rehearsal either if I remember correctly. Vocals and guitar by Mino; other guitar by Franco. A good night to you all.
Words and Music by Mino Christante. (c)1980-2021
Three nice instrumentals by Franco. The middle one was recorded in a big stone farm house in Italy...it's a traditional Russian piece interpreted by an American of one-quarter Italian descent.
Us and Neil Diamond rocking out one summer evening. Greg Nottage on bass, Mino on vocals and guitar, Franco on keys and percussion. Also on Youtube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SR-VSN3Z9ZA
The lyrics to this song are by ol' Bill Shakes. The music is a cover of the Barenaked Ladies' version of this song. Guitar and Vocals by Franco.
The proper title is: "Blow, Blow Though Winter Wind" from the play, "As You Like It."
