What if the wilderness you’re trying to avoid is the very place God plans to make you exactly what He's called you to be? We reflect on a practical, yet deeper look at walking in the Spirit, not as a rare retreat but as a moment by moment way of life. The thread runs through loss, intercession, and an unmistakable peace, showing how encounters with God shift faith from borrowed belief to living conviction.

A persecutor becomes a herald of grace, and the catalyst for change was not better teaching but a blazing revelation of Jesus Christ. We walk through Paul’s story—from Saul’s elite training and fierce zeal to the Light on the Damascus road—and then step into the silence of Arabia, where God dismantled a lifetime of tradition and rebuilt a life in the Spirit. Along the way, we explore what wilderness can do for us: expose idols, ret...

The greatest threat to your soul isn’t the sin you see in others, but the grudge you refuse to release. We open with Paul’s warning in Romans 2 about judging while doing the same things, then move straight into Jesus’ hard line on forgiveness: if we will not forgive, we will not be forgiven. The parable of the unforgiving servant becomes the lens—an unpayable debt erased, a peer throttled over pennies, and a king who hands the merc...

Though Hebrews 6 unpacks six core principles—repentance from dead works, faith toward God, baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment—that trace the believer’s life from new birth to final destiny, we hone in our focus on Eternal Judgment.

We press into the hard but hopeful truth: judgment begins in the house of God. Ezekiel 34 confronts shepherds who feed themselves while neglecting the w...

What if the problem isn’t your limits, but how you handle them? We explore a different kind of freedom: the kind that serves, while restraining itself for the benefit of others. From hidden bitterness to budget choices, from envy of public gifts to neglect of quiet callings, we trace how small, unexamined habits shape big spiritual outcomes.

We dig into Romans 14’s vision of the kingdom—righteousness, peace, and joy in the...

True freedom isn’t about getting more options for oneself, but becoming free from the bondage of sin to walk in righteousness. We trace a bold, honest line from Eden’s wide-open garden to Paul’s gritty vision of liberty that chooses service for the sake of others. Along the way, we examine how one boundary tested trust, how the fall revealed our tendency to use freedom poorly, and how the Spirit leads us out of bondage into a life ...

Ever feel like modern Christianity is a buffet—plenty of options, little clarity on what truly matters? We step back from the noise and follow a trail the apostles left in plain sight, moving from belief to obedience with the Book of Acts as our map. Instead of debating labels and church traditions, we ask what Peter and Paul actually expected when they warned about not obeying the gospel, and we test our assumptions against the fi...

Repentance stands as one of Christianity's most profoundly misinterpreted concepts. While many reduce it to mere apologies or expressions of regret, its true essence runs much deeper – it's about a fundamental transformation that redirects our entire life trajectory toward God.

"Change is the key," the teaching emphasizes. "Not saying 'I'm sorry.'" When someone repeatedly offend...

Grace demands a response. Throughout scripture, we see a consistent pattern: God initiates relationship through grace, but always includes requirements and expectations. This episode challenges popular notions of unconditional grace by examining the lives of Adam and Abraham to reveal God's true relational pattern.

We explore how Abraham, the father of faith, demonstrated his belief not through mere mental assent but ...

This profound exploration of adversity's revealing power cuts straight to the heart of spiritual maturity.

Most of us have heard the saying that adversity builds character, but that's not entirely accurate. Adversity reveals character—exposing what's already within us when pressure is applied. Like sweat that exudes from our pores during intense exercise, our true nature emerges during difficult times. And t...

The profound mystery of Christ's redemptive sacrifice unfolds through an illuminating study of Isaiah's ancient prophecy. Isaiah's vivid portrayal of the Messiah as "a tender plant" and "a root out of dry ground" reveals both Christ's divine origin and human nature. Though possessing no extraordinary appearance to attract followers, His mission carried an extraordinary purpose. The prophecy d...

This message uncovers how Samuel—standing between God and a people who had rejected divine leadership—prefigured Christ's ultimate mediatorial role.

The heart of intercession beats powerfully in Samuel's declaration: "God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you." This commitment to persistent prayer and teaching "the good and right way" reveals the eternal nature o...

There seems to be a discrepancy between Jesus' command in Matthew 28:19 to baptize "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" and the apostles' consistent practice of baptizing "in the name of Jesus Christ" throughout the book of Acts.

This compelling episode dives deep into this fascinating enigma, examining what Jesus truly meant when addressing His disciples before ascending to heave...

In this revelatory teaching, we journey through 1 Samuel to uncover what happens when the glory of God departs from leadership while the structure remains intact.

The biblical account of Saul and David unveils a terrifying spiritual reality: God can reject a leader while allowing them to continue functioning in position. Saul's reign exemplifies how fear-driven decisions lead to spiritual bankruptcy, even as outward v...

What blocks us from hearing God clearly? We examine how our thought life becomes the primary battlefield where the enemy plants "poison pills" of deception wrapped in partial truths. The distinction becomes crystal clear: when God speaks, peace follows—even in urgency—while the enemy's voice brings anxiety and apprehension.

Many believers struggle with divine communication because they've created a buff...

Have you ever noticed how quickly a beautiful musical piece is ruined when just one instrument plays off-key? The same principle applies to our relationship with God. When we attempt to insert our own melody into God's divine symphony, we create disharmony that affects everything around us.

    The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
