(00:22):
R party. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio. Yeah, it

(00:42):
is The I Couple. I'm Chris Bruce Sart alongside my
partner Rob Parker, and we're coming to you live from
the Fox Sports Radio studios. We got a great three
hours planning for you, NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball. It's
all untapped, so keep it locked right here on Fox

(01:05):
Sports Radio, the iHeart Radio app, or serious XM channel
eighty three, however you may be listening. We got Mike Heller,
who's the host of Fox Sports ten seventy in Madison, Wisconsin,
coming up at the bottom of the hour. And yes,
I said Wisconsin, so you know that means he can

(01:26):
answer our questions about Aaron Rodgers and also the Milwaukee Bucks,
who are coming off two big wins, back to back
wins over the Brooklyn Nets. So that'll be great, a
great interview that's coming up at the bottom of the hour,
so keep it locked for that. Let me welcome in
my partner, Rob Parker. What up, brother, what's happening to
mister Chris Bussard. I am great, man, I'm good. I

(01:50):
got no complaints. I got no complaints. How are you feeling? Yesterday?
You were a little under the weather. Yeah, I went
under the one, but maybe a little fatigue, I guess
after the second shot, I think that probably was the
right term, you know what I mean, not as much energy.
But today it's been a very busy day and I

(02:11):
got a lot of stuff accomplished. So I'm feeling yeah,
just fine. I feel good. Probably after good night's sleep tonight,
you know what I mean, that'll be up. So thank god.
I'm very thankful because a lot of people warned me
and told me about how sick they got or whatever
was going on. And I don't know, Chris, it's been
more than twenty four hours, but I don't want to

(02:33):
jinx it or put it out there, but so far,
I'm feeling fine. So yeah, you know, if you go
out there and get back to I feel better that
I'm vaccinated, and you know, I just do, and somehow
I'll knock on wood. This whole thing came and went, Chris,
and you know, with so many people coming down with it,
and somehow I remember I was on that cruise ship.

(02:54):
I know the thing started and you were salty with it.
With this, I was as salting. Yes, I was always salty,
but understood now because I know. But my only thing
is it's typical whole, you know, like I was like
ostra sized, like I had the lepers. That's how I was.
We didn't know. None of us are in the studio.

(03:14):
We didn't get no. Thank god, I went through the
whole year and plus and I didn't have it, and
I and thank God, I just feel good. Well, thank
God is right because it's a worship Wednesday. Rob Parker
so DJ Alex Tysher on the ones and twos giving
us the beats and super producer Rob g in the

(03:36):
house and on the update you heard him earlier. I
can't believe the word the verb he used, brain farting,
that's what he said. So I don't know. I guess
it's a different I was wondering if it is that allowed.
I don't know, it's a different, different day when we

(03:56):
came up. You couldn't say that, couldn't you fire not
at all? And I just couldn't imagine like a stellar
Hall of Fame type of Steve de Seger. He is
his way, he's sell Brian Finley is stellar and on
his way right eliminated from heart after uttering those words

(04:21):
on National Way, you know how many parents had to
let go of the wheel to cover their kids here
when they heard that. On that note, let's get into it,
Royan Parker. Last night, I mentioned it earlier. The Milwaukee
Bucks have beaten in Brooklyn Nets back to back games.
Now this is Brooklyn light because it's Kevin Durant and

(04:45):
Kyrie Irving, but no James Harden, so you gotta keep
that in mind. Um here's what I got to say
about it, Rob, I picked the Nets before they got
James Harden. I did not pick them to win the championship.
But once they got James Harden, and obviously he was
playing great, I picked them to win it. I'm here

(05:09):
to say right now, and I assume right I mean,
I assume James Harden will play and play through the
playoffs and play every game and fun. Hopefully that's the case.
If James Harden is not healthy. The Brooklyn Nets cannot
win the championship, can't. They might probably won't even win

(05:34):
the East without James Harden. But they can't win it
all without James Harden. With him, I got him. And
here's the thing. James Harden, rober you saw how great
he was playing. He's a facilitator. He was the one
getting everybody the ball in the right spot. And while
Kevin Durad is awesome and historically great, and Kyrie Irvy

(05:59):
is awesome and I believe on his way to the
Hall of Fame, neither of them's a terrific facilitator. And
that's their problem when they don't have hard and rob.
This isn't a prisoner of the moment. This isn't based
on these last two games. They're seven and eight with
those two without James Harden. They're seven and eight when
they have Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant playing, but no

(06:21):
James Harden. In fact, the Nets as a whole or
nine and ten without James Harden, they're twenty seven and seven,
or they're they're around five hundred with James Harden. They're
twenty seven and seven with him. So I just think that,
dude is critical. When you got that much talent, you

(06:43):
need somebody to get to get to spread the wealth,
get everybody the ball in the right place, and that
is James Harden. So he's got to be healthy for
them to win the championship. Yeah, I hear you, but
I'm not buying into that. I picked the net before
the trade. I think, yes, we could take a look

(07:04):
at them and look at the regular season as we've
done before. James Harden has had spectacular regular seasons, but
not so much when it matters in bigger games. Kevin
Durant has been big time in big time games, and
Kyrie has also been a guy who's played well, so
the game changes. Milwaukee has had great regular seasons for

(07:24):
years now with Jannis, but things change when you get
in a postseason. So I'm not going to take a
look and say they can't win or because of what
they've done in the regular season. I look at those
guys as season vets who have been there in big moments,
big time, and I think that ultimately, sure would the
road be easier with James Harden. Absolutely, Chris, I get

(07:46):
your point, but I'm not gonna write them off as
if they don't have those two don't have a shot
at winning in a playoff. I like their supporting cast.
I like what they've done all year long with players,
their stars, in and out of games. And they want
at a ridiculous clip, uh you know, with with Hardened out,

(08:08):
with Katie out, with Harden out. No, I'm just saying yeah,
But but they were winning, they were winning recently before that.
I mean, they want a couple of big games even
though Harden wasn't playing. My point is that I'm not
going to write them off from from regular season play,
especially when the guy you're talking about, uh coming hasn't

(08:30):
performed greatly in the postseason. I'm not saying he's going
to be in a different role. He won't be the
league guy. So obviously things change. Would their road be easier, yes,
But but I like the team that they had put
together before, and obviously Hardens a piece of that. I
expect Harden to play. I think they're just gonna hold
them out as long as they can and just wait

(08:52):
for the season and it becomes an arms race. It
becomes who has enough firepower in this league, and we'll see.
I believe the Nets due and I like it. Like
I said, I like a lot of their supporting players
as well. Who do you leave open? And it might
be it might be that they just have to outscore
you to win, and I'm gonna put my money on

(09:12):
the Nets. I'm still picking them. When those two first
teamed up, I tweeted out I thought the Clippers would
win the first year, and I thought the Nets would.
I love those two together. And even if they would
have won these two games against Milwaukee, I'm not so
sure that anybody's gonna endorse them and say that they're
gonna win because Chris, they are trying to do something

(09:34):
that normally doesn't happen in the first year. So I
get that reservation. So I understand where you might have reservations.
But I'm gonna bet on Kyrie and I'm gonna bet
on k D in this situation. Yeah, and the look
we've talked about it, I mean, even with Harden involved,
they played seven games together, so that's there. But I

(09:56):
think the way he can facilitate run the offense, because
I'm willing to know, I'm I'm willing to give them
even without the time together, I'm willing to say they
can win it all because those three are so good.
But the thing about Kyrie and I see where I disagree,

(10:16):
is yeah, Kyrie and Durant have had big moments in
the playoffs, but it's always been big moments when there
was somebody facilitating for him. Like Kyrie hit arguably the
greatest shot in NBA history, but Lebron James was the facilitator.
Lebron James ran the offense. Lebron James made sure everything
was clicking and working, and then Kyrie just had to

(10:38):
make shots, which is what he does. Is well, it's
just about anybody. But if he's got to run the show.
We saw what happened in Boston. They got beaten five
by Milwaukee, and Kyrie didn't have a great series nine
points one game, fifteen points. The next five games had

(10:58):
big moments or average twenty. That is a league guy.
He does the league start running the offense. No, but
he's the best offense. Yeah, but he's not facilitating. He's
not setting Kyrie up. Try but he can't. He's that's
not his strength. Yeah, but that's strength. But the difference

(11:18):
is when you talk about that team, is they had
other pieces that they gave up for Harden. So of
course you can't say I mean, of course you're gonna
say that without Hardened, because you gave up a bulk
of your team, those other pieces that they added Blake Griffin.
I mean that that's I mean, that's water under the bridge. Now. Yeah,
but you can't look at the team I'm talking about,

(11:39):
You can't look at the team without Hardened. But if
you do, you're saying that. So you're saying if he does,
if he misses any games, they can't win. No, I
mean the entire thing. I mean, what are you saying. Yeah,
if he's out, I mean, obviously they can withstand him
if they're up three oh in a series and he
has to sit. Fine, But I'm saying, and hope, I

(12:01):
don't think this is the case, right, I guess none
of us know. But if he's out, like if he
can't play in the playoffs, and Kevin Durand's hamstring injury
kept him out with six weeks, they thought it would
be two games, so Hardens bent out, came back, tried it,
had to sit out again. So yeah, I'm saying, if

(12:22):
he can't play in the playoffs, or maybe he's in
and out and and it's choppy and he's ten minutes.
He can play old, but he's got to come out now.
It's bothering him stuff like that. If he's not available,
generally they're gonna be they won't win it because they
need that. And Kevin Durand's had some tough moments too.

(12:43):
Remember he's the one he gave up a three one
lead to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference
Finals in twenty sixteen, and he wasn't But I'm just
had moments too. Harden's had his moments too. I mean,
Kevin Durand was never in those three games they lost,
never won. He's never the Golden State Warriors of Steph Curry,

(13:06):
Clay Thompson and Draymond Green with him either. And he
actually had that team down and then his running mate
Chris Paul got hurt. So I'm not I'm not trying
to excuse Harden's struggles because he's had a few. But
it's not like every time he gets in a big
moment he wets the bed. That's all I'm said. Yeah,
I just said, because I'm saying Kyrie is wet the

(13:28):
bed too, and so it's I'm just telling you. I'm
expecting Kevin Durant to be the finals MVP when it's
all said and done. That's what I expect. So we'll
see all right. Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox
eight seven, seven nine nine six sixty three sixty nine.
You're turning the way in can the Brooklyn Nets win
it all without James Harden? I say no, In fact,

(13:53):
I say no, way, no how, and Rob Parker says yes, yes, way, yes, how?

Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox. We threw it
out there. I don't think the Nets can win a

(15:20):
championship this year without James Harden. Rob thinks they can't,
you know, assuming they have k D and Kyrie. Rob
thinks those two can get it done. So if if
if Lebron doesn't play for the Lakers or Kyrie doesn't,
they can win about Yeah, they can't win it without Kyrie,
Like Kyrie and Hard. No, this is here's my here's

(15:43):
my question to you. If you're gonna ask me if
the Lakers can win there? No, no, no, I'm asking
you can the Nets win if Kawhi doesn't play for
the Clippers because of injury and Lebron doesn't play. No,
I'm asking you could they win a championship if those
two guys were miss from those two times? I mean
if if, if all the other stars in the league

(16:03):
get hurt, I just as hurt. I don't think they
come out of the East. Okay, So I don't think
they't come out That's what I'm asking you. I mean,
but yeah, if Joe l NB hurt and Yanni is hurt, sure,
But I'm talking about genuinely with other That's what I'm
gonna just ask a question. Dre in Michigan, you're on
the Yad couple of Fox Sports Radio and what a dude,

(16:24):
people's long time, long time? Yes, they looking real Goodan,
what's the deal is it? What's the weather like? Man?
It's a little chilly. Man. Are you in Detroit? I mean, well,
I'm Bill Bill, same thing. The sun don't sign no
bright over there. So hey, Rob, I got a question

(16:45):
for you right quick. You said, what no black people
ever made? Barry? One black person was on the on
that show? Do you know who it is? No? Why
I watch that? I shudder to think what his role was. No,
but I can't watch that show for a forty years years,
I've never seen the black person in Mayberry. It was
and you won't believe who it was. Jimmy Davis, O J. Simpson,

(17:07):
O J. Simpson. He wasn't on that show. He must
have been on Mayberry RFD. He was not on because
Andy Griffins. When did that show in that ended like
the sixties? Right? No, but he was on that. He
was the only one in Mayberry. Maybe it was the
second iteration of it. But he was with Andy Griffin
on the show. Yes, trust me, look it up Andy Griffiths. Okay,

(17:30):
I mean because he Yeah, it had to be. I'm
gonna sit here right there. You know, I know television.
I don't know. Yeah, I'm gonna go with ribe over.
I'm gonna look it up. But I want them flip
hops when I'm right I want I'll tell you. I'll
tell you right. So what you got on the nets? Oh?
With the nets? I don't. I don't think they can
win without them, because they just become another good team,

(17:51):
you know, if you want to add all those stipulations
right we're talking about. Yeah, they might be, but when
you talk about just the way teams are constructed now
everybody healthy, I don't think they I don't think they're
bet to do it because James Harden would, like you said,
he's the facility. He's the one to make that difference
between them. Yeah, yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you
on NAT. I just alright, James Harden makes it easier.

(18:13):
All right, Tim and Indiana. You're on the odd couple
of Fox Sports Radio. Hey, how's it going, Robin, Chris.
I'm doing well. Well. I've got three reasons why the
Nats can't do it without Harden. Number One, they don't
play defense. The Lakers could do it. They play defense.

(18:34):
We've seen that just the other night. Number Soon, quickly,
your Harden's not necessarily gonna strengthen the defense, but they're
gonna score more with him. That that kind of your thinking, correct, Yeah.
And then number two, that's more of a Dan and
Tony offense, and that team those teams have never been

(18:54):
really successful in the playoffs to to win a championship.
And that's true. Well really, that's that's that right there.
We can just end it right there. I just don't
think they're gonna stand up because it shuts not conducive
to playoff basketball. Now, with all three of them healthy,
do you think they'll win it? I think they would
have a chance. Um, but I would put my money

(19:16):
more on seeing the Lakers without one of their two stars. Stop.
Lakers can't win it without one of those two, right,
That's where that's where you lose me. Right, there's no
way if Anthony Davis all abroad, I'm sorry to they
not getting out. They won't. They will not get out
of the West, and it'll be ugly the way they

(19:38):
get back. It'll be absolutely Chris, I mean, might be
able to make them be okay, but they wouldn't win it. Yeah,
they wouldn't win the West. Jordan in Atlanta, you're in
the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Jordan? Cool?
Thanks for having me, Um love the show. Um, thank you.
I think I agree with Chris a little bit more.
Usually I agree with Rob, but I'm gonna have to

(19:59):
go with Chris on this. One. I think that they
just can't win it without harden Um. I wasn't really
a fan before he got to Brooklyn, but I just
feel like he adds so much to this team. Um,
the playmaking, the scoring, um. And I do think he
helps a little bit on defense, not too much. He
plays hard. I mean he's not great, but he plays hard. Yeah. Defensively,

(20:19):
he gives them effort. And um, I think, like you said,
it would take pressure off of Kyrie so he can
just be the scorer and not the facilitator. Because he
didn't really do well in Boston. They got further without him.
So how they're doing now? I mean, you're right, You're right.
I'm not a fan. No, I mean every everybody was
like addition would be changing that. No, But I'm just saying,

(20:40):
but people were like auditioned by subtraction. They haven't fared
that well without agree all right. I appreciate the call
and the support. Thank you. How about Drew in New Jersey?
What exit you're on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio?
What up? Chris up? Rob? Whatever? All right? So I
just for what did you say? What exit? What exit?

(21:03):
What exit? I'm from basking Rich Okay, Okay, it's like
by like Bridgewater area County. Yeah, but Rob, do you
remember when you said, don't worry, we're gonna get Andre.
The Nets are gonna sign Andre Robin, He's to fix
all the nut problem. I never said I never said

(21:23):
don't worry. I never said that, but you did say
it though. No, I didn't say don't worry. I said
that said get yeah, I said any, I said yeah, anyway,
go ahead your point. And I think what they're having
issues is or having issues with big because they they're
having issues, namely interior defense. And I don't think Blake

(21:46):
Griffins all that, Kevin Durrant kind of but I just
I don't see it. I don't see it, especially without
James Harden. I don't think James Harden fixes the defense either,
so he doesn't so much fix their defense. I do
agree the previous caller that his effort will help on
that end, but they will just outscore you. They're gonna
score more. It's gonna be easier for Durant and Kyrie

(22:10):
and obviously Harden is gonna get his, and it's easier
for everybody else. And I actually think, look, DeAndre Jordan
is okay still as a big defender. I actually thought,
I mean, this is gonna sound crazy because Yann has
had forty nine. I didn't hate his effort against Yannis
on Sunday. I mean, Yannis was just hitting threes. He

(22:31):
hit the most threes of the season that he's ever hit.
So if Yannis is gonna hit fifty percent from three
on four of eight shooting from three, then they may
not lose anybody. Exactly. You gotta tippy cap to that
when he's knocking them down in that fashion. Absolutely. I

(22:52):
did google it, Chris. It says that there was one
black person who out of speaking role, but it's not
Oj Simpson. Like like I said, I knew that that
couldn't be right. Some guy named Rockney talking Ton Parkinson
talking Ton. Yeah. So when that was in the fifties,
I shuddered to think what the role was, yeah said

(23:15):
he said he had a speaking role. He says was
also first credited actor to appear and the only African
American on the show to ever have a speaking part.
I told you this before real quick, Perry Mason, Chris,
if you could believe this had a black judge, Now,
you remember when that show was the sties, fifties and sixties.

(23:37):
They had a black judge. But imagine the judge never
spoke thole like like you know, like he never he
never uttered a word, but he was on camera. He
was a judge. I remember set in La right, so
it wasn't impossible, but they had googlely episode. Guys, you
should see it. He there's a black judge, but he

(23:58):
has no lines in the show. All right, we gonna
get to Mike Heller in Madison, Wisconsin. Radio personnel in
the Aliti there on Fox Sports. But first, Fox Sports

(24:20):

live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. Our next guest,
I can't wait to talk to him. He's a host
of Fox Sports ten seventy in Madison, Wisconsin. That's right,
Green Bay, Mike Heller, Mike, Welcome to the our couple.
What's up, Mike, My boys? How are you? Hey? Hey?
We are great. Before we get there in Rogers quick,
our buddy works there in Madison, Wisconsin. George Smith, who's

(24:44):
on the does the news? What channel is he on
Channel twenty seven? We talked about Georgia last time. That's right? Yeah, yes,
good dude, Yeah, absolutely channel. I went to college with
with George and George and I went to Columbia j School.
So whenever we talked to you and Madison, Wisconsin, we
always got to give a shout out to George Smith.
All right, let's give me out academic to you guys,

(25:06):
he said, the academics. I did have a three point oh.
I graduated with a three point oh undergrad so but
George was smart. But anyway, let's get to it. Okay,
in Wisconsin, are people taking sides? And if so, who
Saturday on Aaron's or the Packers. Yeah, the tide turned

(25:28):
drastically a week ago, while six days ago last Thursday,
and it turned against Aaron. I think until then people
were looking at the Packers and saying, how the world
have you not found a way to restructure or to
do something, to spend some money and to free up
money in the cap room, so they could have done
some things in free agency, and they hung all of

(25:50):
that on the organization. And then when everything came out
last Thursday, I think quickly fans turned against Aaron um
in this and I would say, shoot, I ran a
poll today saying, um, you know, wondering if on Aaron

(26:10):
talking about being disappointed when he sort of visited with
Tariko Saturday at the Kentucky Derby but not on camera,
and uh, Tariko characterized it as Aaron was very disappointed
that the news is out about his rift with the Packers.
Eighty five percent, well, it was eighty three percent of
our listeners said that they don't believe that that this

(26:33):
was all playing. Yeah, they think he leaked it, and
that's not good man. I mean, this fan base very
blue collar, and they're getting the sense that Aaron Rodgers
doesn't want to be here. And this blue collar fan
base has turned very strongly against the Hall of Fame quarterback,
all right, so they wouldn't welcome him back to play

(26:53):
for the team next year. I think I think it's
his stance right now that where he's dug his feet
in and he says, I'm not coming back if they
don't trade me. I'm I'm just not coming back. That's
the sense that the fans have. Whether that's real or not,
I think it is. I mean everybody I've talked to

(27:14):
believes that the chance that Aaron Rodgers returns to play
this season with the Packers is close to zero. Well,
that would be on Aaron, because the reports are also
out there that, even though they didn't initially do it,
the Packers have thrown out a contract extension offer to
Aaron that would guarantee that he finishes his career in
Green Bay. But in his world, has that ship already sailed?

(27:38):
And if it has, the blame will fall to Aaron
Rodgers at a greater extent for Packers fans than it
does the organization. See, but they're not to the point
of good riddence. To me, that's a whole different thing.
If they're like, oh, we're tired, it is we're sick
of Aaron Rodgers. He can leave. They're not that far gone. No,

(27:58):
I don't think No, I don't think they are. I
maintain this with very little hesitancy. That's the best case
for the Green Bay Packers and for Aaron Rodgers, and
the best opportunity for either boast in this case, to
win a Super Bowl is to have Aaron Rodgers stay
in Green Bay. I don't I don't. Rogers might look

(28:20):
at what Brady was able to do and say, I
want that. I want the ability to be able to
sign some guys that I want them to sign and
be treated that way. But I think his best chance
to win a Super Bowl is with the twenty twenty
one Green Bay Packers. You know, we had Charlie Cashilly on,
a former of course NFL executive who works for NFL Network,

(28:42):
and he said, most of the time, this stuff comes
down to money, and I seem to feel that way.
I'm with Charlie on this because just can't be over
a riff with a general manager you might not like him.
And I get all that guys have had to, you know,
do with people. You know, we all have worked with
people we don't particularlyly like. It doesn't mean I can't

(29:06):
get my job done. Where are you on this whole idea?
That just the idea that you know, they did pay
him the money up front, but they all that money's
gone to guaranteed money. He just came off probably his
best season on second best season ever in his career,
and the notion that you know he wants to be
cashed out. Rob, I think there are two things at

(29:27):
play and only and I think the contract and money
is third on the list. Okay, that's what I think happened.
I think that the Packers thought Aaron Rodgers had put
together in eighteen and nineteen, two good seasons. I think
he threw it for twenty five and twenty six touchdowns, respectively,
good by many standards, but not really good by Aaron

(29:50):
Rodgers standards, and I think they wondered if he was
ever going to get back to having big numbers. So
they went ahead and they saw a guy that they
Now some people are gonna say he's a project. Whatever,
I don't think they drafted a project. I think they
drafted Jordan Love because they like him a lot. And
then Rogers, very upset by that move. Rogers throws up,

(30:14):
I think you can argue that it's his best season ever. Rights,
I think his quarterback rating, right was higher? Was that
the only thing? Yeah? That and the other season that
was it other than that? And then I think the
other shoe dropped. I think the season ended in that
NFC Championship game against Tampa and David Dunn, his agent,
came to the Factors at some point in the week
or two. They followed and said, Okay, can we dispense

(30:36):
with the Jordan love nonsense and let's sign an extension.
We don't need a lot more money, but let's sign
an extension that Aaron's going to be your quarterback. And
when they said no, I think that's when everything broke apart.
I think your spot on there. I think that is
that's you know, once his people, you know, reach out

(30:58):
to the Packers organization and they pushed back. I want
to tell a very similar story. That's what made Barry
Sanders quit in Detroit. Barry Sanders approached the Lions about
a new contract, and the Lions pushed back and said
that they weren't going to, you know what I mean,
even discuss a contract. That's that's the behind the scenes

(31:19):
story that I've always heard on why Barry Sanders quit
the Lions, not because they were losing or not because
of the weren't happy with his teammates. You know what
I mean, that he got pushed back. Yes, just quick, quickly, Mike,
we got a minute for your answer. So is it
fire Brian Gudacoots and Aaron will be okay? Or is

(31:39):
it fire Brian Gudacoots and give him whoever comes in
to replace him. They give him the contract extension and
he wants and Aaron's okay. I think Aaron's not coming
back without a contract extension, and he said no to it.
So I think both things have to happen. I think
he would have to have Goudacouts moved into a different role.

(32:00):
Anie would have to have the contract extension, or this
is not going to happen in Green Bay. And then
they're going to talk to the Denver Broncos and the
Las Vegas Raiders to figure out how they make this work.
Worst case scenario, and I can't believe this would happen.
Both sides get stuck in this staring contest and the
packers said, hey, we're not going to trade you. You're

(32:21):
under contract, and Roger says I'm not coming. Well, yes happened.
Everybody loses blink. You see. I don't know, man, I
don't know. I was gonna say last thing. If I
was working at your station and at in Madison, Wisconsin,

(32:41):
I would be calling the general manager, the general manager,
what a name? My god? Could you have a work
name to have to you know what I mean? Right,
I'd have to you know what I've been doing? Bye?
Goody bye bye quarterback was calling him Jerry Krause, Well, yes, yeah, yeah, right,
all right, Mike Heller, mikel always ten seventy, great stuff, man,

We are blessed, folks, count them count of blessings. It's

(33:28):
the Eye Couple on the Worship Wednesday, coming to you
live from the Fox Sports Radio studios. And look, I
think a team that's counting their blessings or should be
is the Houston Astros, Rob Parker. I've told you and
I stand by this. They should Baseball should. I know

(33:52):
this should be sailed. There's no doubt about that. But
Baseball should have vacated that championship for the Astros. They
might not be going through what they're going through now.
And look, you're big boys. You can handle a little
bit of booing, a few jeers, some name calling, but

(34:15):
they still are reviewed, they still are viewed and recorded,
Rob as champions. That's what I don't like they're still
recorded as champions. Yeah, but people will have the right
to acknowledge or or I think it doesn't have the

(34:35):
same way. Those guys might have won the championship, Chris,
but there's no way they feel the same way about it.
Even if you're an Astros fan, you feel like you've
been cheated. Like the one thing that I that they
had to be able to feel good about their team.
There's always question marks, you know. I just I just
think that it's tarnished even though they have it. Would
you agree with that it's tarnished? It is okay, there's

(35:00):
degrees of turnishing though, I mean you're not well you
depending on what Like, they're still recorded in history as champions. Man,
let me ask you this real quick. If if you
rob a bank and take a million dollars, or you

(35:22):
take five dollars out of your grandmother's purse when she's
not looking, are you a thief in both cases? Yes, Okay,
you're a thief. Doesn't matter how much money you steal,
You're a thief. And they cheaters, and that everybody knows that, Chris.
It's been pun they got they got to keep the
million dollars. That's the thing, and I get it. There

(35:45):
they're okay, we look at them, they're cheaters, blah blah.
Nobody looking million dollars, nobody gets I get it. But
nobody feels good about that championship. I'm telling you, like
like your Astros fans don't feel good about it. I
don't know if I if I were a fan, there's
nowhere I would feel good about something like that. This

(36:07):
wasn't like feeling bad because your team got was got
a lucky break, Chris, or you know, there was a
big or you know what I mean, or the star
player got hurt during the series. I'm not gonna cry
over that that that happened, but but to feel like
the team that I was invested in watched every game

(36:27):
they finally bought a championship to Houston, you know what
I mean? In baseball, and now everybody thumbs their nose
at it and every stadium they go to Now, Chris,
I mean, Dusty Baker said last night at Yankee Stadium,
Rob gd we find out how many people were actually
eighteen thousand, he said, it sound like a packed house,

(36:48):
like it was a sellout. That's how loud the crowd
was buoying them and hurling our profanity. Chris, it was,
it was. It was definitely a Bronx crowd. Yeah, so
what what do you make it? What you think about it?
I mean, I look, I'm fine with it. As long
as it doesn't get violent. As long as you're not
things that can hurt the players, right, racists like you know,

(37:11):
batteries or something like that, I'm fine with it. Yeah,
I'm even fine with the little the little balloon trash
yeah play. Yeah, that's fine that they can't hurt anybody
who ain't throwing a real guy crash can. And the
other thing is the Astros. They got lucky last year, Chris.
They were gonna get their medicine, right, no fans because

(37:32):
of COVID. So now you want to take your medicine, dude,
just take your medicine and keep playing. That's all you
can do. I don't want to hear any complaining from them,
you know. And you're right, like they did get a
pass last year. She played well in the playoffs. You know,
they kind of mad. Okay, they knocked up the age
in the first round. Yeah, yeah, they look good. So

(37:54):
but yeah, now it's coming back to haunt them and
it's this was put off. But I don't want to
hear any complaining from any of these guys. All right,
this is what you get. And I don't even care
if if they're if they're thinking, Rob, if their justification
is man, half the teams in the league are doing it.

(38:15):
We just got caught. Fine, you still cheated, right like
you said you still they got busted. I mean they
there's no infans or bus you know what I mean.
Like it ain't like that suspected of cheating. They did investigation.
Yes they cheated. To me, they still got off easy, Rob,
they still got off because in history they're gonna be
viewed as champions. So all right, it's two hours left

(38:38):
of the Eye Couple. You know what to do, folks,
keep it locked right here on Fox Sports Radio. It's Chris,
Bruce Sard and Rob Parker. We got Eddie House, we
got shop talk, we got fun right here, Eye Couple
