(01:26):
ESPN senior writer wrote with me when I was at
ESPN the magazine and does a great job. He's got
a really like I guess. A remixed version of his
new York Times bestselling book, It's better to be feared
about the New England Patriots Dynasty. But now they've got

(01:46):
new chapters and an epilogue at it, so we'll get
to talk to him about all that. That's gonna be exciting.
At the bottom of the hour. Speaking of exciting, let
me welcome in Kid Dyno, my kid. What's up man?
How are you? I'm doing just great on this TV

(02:07):
theme song? Yes, indeed it is a Wilsey Wilsey woo
woo from a bad luck schlept rock from the Pebbles
and Bam Bam show. That's what that sounds. You knew that? Yes,
I did not know bad luck schlep rock. God one
more time, Alice wellsy Wallsy walmsy walmsy woo. Did I

(02:33):
knew that? You go herd go another TV reference? Very
good but rolling. I'm excited, Go ahead, go ahead. No,
I was just gonna say, that's a TV theme song. Thursday,
so much to do? Uh and uh. I do want
to give a shout out real quick to our God.
Did you see what I sent you? Yes, well you
didn't see it. To stephen A. You know, Chris and

(02:53):
I have known him for a gazillion years. Uh, it's
from Queens, he's from New York. I've known him and uh,
you know, we know he's up giant in our industry,
but he listened to our show. He always gives us
some really positive feedback. He loves it. He listens. And
I chaired about Martin and VJ getting the new show
right Chris on Saturday with Martin Wis and VJ Husky

(03:17):
every Saturday during the NFL season from seven to ten
pm Eastern time, four to seven Pacific. Check him out.
You've heard Martin fill in for me with Rob. You've
heard VJ feeling for Rob with me. They're gonna do
a great job. And if you like the odd couple
and you like sports, you're gonna like VJ and Martin

(03:40):
or Martin and VJ. However, they're gonna do it exactly.
And so Stephen, they put out a very nice thing
and he mentioned me and Chris. This was on a
tweet about Martin and because Martin was my producer in
Detroit and came out to LA I still remember the
day when I said I was coming out here. He's like,
take me with you and I'll see what I could do,

(04:01):
you know what I mean, and wild up getting a
job at FS one and the Extra Points podcast. He
does stuff with us. He's a copy otter for MLB Bro.
And probably the most proud I am of Martin is
just that he went back to school. He graduated from
Michigan Chris and he got his master's degree from USC
in Nnenburgh. I mean, I think that's fantastic. He's done

(04:23):
a lot in six years. Yeah, we're happy for those dudes.
And you mentioned Stephen A. H. Steve. You know, obviously
a lot of people have various opinions about Steve, but
you know, Rob, he is one of if he's your friend,
yours friend. He is loyal and true and a really

(04:46):
good guy. Like I said, some people love him, some
people hate him, but we know him personally. You married,
I think you may have you known him before I did,
But I met him in nineteen ninety five, my first
year covering the NBA. He was covering Temple University for
Philly Inquiry. And even back then, Rob wore every time

(05:06):
I saw him he was in a suit. And oh yeah, yeah,
he was always without question overdressed for the incas right right, right, absolutely,
and the same swag, you see, and you noticed Rob
he had that same swag back then, and you and
you know he really did. I met him in ninety

(05:26):
one or ninety two before that, and uh, you know,
I'm not about ninety two. I think was at the
Detroit That's where I met you, and I, yeah, we
met you at ninety two. I met you at ninety two. Yeah,
that was at ninety two, So I alright him there,
but yeah, yeah, I definitely wanted to just say congratulations
to VJ and to Martin and their new show, which
debuts on Saturday. We got DJ Alex Tysher on the

(05:49):
Ones and the twos and of course Tyshon's Tower of
Trivia in the third hour. That's always fun. Super producer
Rob Jake in the house and on the updates, our
man Isaac Low and crime Islo for short Rob, let's
get into it. Speaking of short, it could be a
short stay for Josh McDaniels out in Vegas. My goodness,

(06:12):
I rob every Thursday. On First things First, I do
a bud list, which is Bruce Ars, Under Duress List
and Weed. Okay, let's say Josh McDaniels was number one
on the bud list was eleven and twenty uh in Denver,

(06:33):
and we know he got fired in large part because
of Spygate two thought cheating, and now he's owing three
his team as the worst record in the league. Uh.
This was a season where they expected big things from
the Las Vegas Raiders, even though they were in a
tough division, the toughest in the league purportedly. But they're

(06:54):
owing three worst record in the league. Hack. Even the
Houston Texans, the only other winless team, at least tie
the game, right, so their records even better than the Raiders.
It is. It has been horrible and Rob, one of
his former players with the Broncos, laid into him something

(07:15):
fierce on Twitter. ROBG bring us up to speed on this. Oh,
it was all bad. Tyler Columbus who played tackle for
those Broncos teams during that was it one and a
half seasons that Josh McDaniels was there in Denver and
he opened up a can on McDaniels on Twitter. It
was a threat. I'm not going to read all of it,
just a few highlights. We don't have all it was.

(07:37):
It was five tweets, but here's a couple of highlights.
Talking about Josh McDaniels. This was after they traded away
all their nucleus, including Jay Cutler, who was their starting
quarterback at the time. Josh McDaniels told the team quote, fellas,
don't worry about the quarterback situation. I can turn a
high school quarterback into an all pro. He would start
off every single practice with a ten minute bad football

(07:59):
reel from the day before, where he would dog cuss
you and your coach out for any bad played from
practice twenty four hours ago. He had slogans painted on
the walls, and if a player forgot what one of
the slogans read like, say hey that one above the
left window in the in the locker room library, Yeah,
then you were getting shoot out. And last, but not least,

(08:21):
according to Columbus that m McDaniels told him during their
exit meeting that he was one of the worst players
that he played with, but he was really terrible, but
don't worry about it because I'm gonna be gone anyways. Wait,
McDaniel said that, yes, and I don't care. I'm getting
out of here. Well was that? See? I read that
tweet too, and I my impression was that that was

(08:45):
an a position coach who Palumbo met is his position coach. No,
that was him positive, I'm pos reading right here had
an exit nybew with my coach spent. Oh yeah, you're right, coach,
you're right, Chris, I stand her that you're correct. Apparently
say that his position coach hated Josh McDaniel just as

(09:06):
much as the team did. I'm read that. Read what
he said because the position that was telling here it
is he said he was concerned for him Palumbo. Then
the coach says, coach, you are right. Coach says, that's
a hard let me explain. Hold on, I'm reading. So
Palumbo met with his coach, his position coach, I guess
the offensive line coach for an exit interview, Yes, exit
interview at the end of the season, and the coach

(09:28):
was ripping Palumbo, telling him about all the things he
needed to work on didn't do well, and Palumbo the
the demeanor of the position coach was so bad. He
said he was depressed, it was sad, and that miserable
that Palumbo. Despite him ripping Palumbo, Palumbo was really like coach,

(09:48):
like you good, you okay? And then Rob do you
take it from then? He says Uh, that's a hard
man to work work for. Palumbo says, so you coming back?
Coach says hell. No, says, oh you're getting fire. Are
you leaving? Coach says, I don't care, but I'm getting
the hell out of here. That's telling, Rob, Wow, that
is telling. I Look the stuff that we know. Josh

(10:12):
McDaniels was a good offensive coordinator. You called him a
great offensive coordinator if you want. And but Rob, how
many times have we seen a guy that was a
good coordinator offense, defense, whatever, just not be a good
head coach. And it appears that that could be the
case with Josh McDaniel. It's it's early kinda but in

(10:37):
the history of the NFL, only six teams that were
oh and three have ever made the playoffs. They do
have a seventeen game season. They do have an extra
playoff team, so maybe that don't help. But they lose
this weekend, Rob, They played Denver, which obviously is trying
to win it for its own self. They have two
and one. They need a good showing. They lose to

(10:57):
this game and their seasons pretty much over. I'm gonna
say this, they have way too much talent to be
O and three. It's ridiculous with the additions that they made,
uh you know uh, including Davante Adams, the big acquisition position.

(11:18):
Who's got forty eight yards receiving in the last exactly, Chris,
which is a ridiculous number. But my point is, I
will I'm putting the ranch on the Raiders this weekend.
I do I believe, rob G. You hear what I'm saying.
They have to win. They have way too much talent.
If they're owing four, you got to consider making a

(11:40):
move on. Something's terribly wrong in that way. Possition. Yeah, well,
here's what I'll say, Rob They and look, you you
are what your record says. You are right. You're here
to win games. There's no moral victories their games though,
and Rob G certainly would attest to this. They've been close,

(12:02):
all right, and they have not. You know what. They
lost the first one by five, the second one by six,
the third one by two. Now they haven't played the
best teams. The Chargers they lost by five. That was
a good team certainly in the Week one. But the Cardinals, um,
they blew that. They lost by six, and then the

(12:22):
Titans they lost by two. Neither one of those teams
very good at least to this point. But Rob so,
so what do I mean are you saying if they
lose this game, he's officially like on the hot seat
might not get through the season, and I would have
to I would have to see what's going on there
because they shouldn't be there. This is a team that
made the playoffs a year ago. Arguably, Chris, they got

(12:45):
better when you say that, didn't they everybody? Even though
I didn't pick them to make the playoffs, I did
think they would be a better team. Okay, that's what
I'm saying. I was just saying that you have to
check and see what's happening here. Here's the disconnect that
a team that or at least on paper, got better
and then you know the losing close. I worked in

(13:08):
Detroit for twenty years. I heard that excuse over and over.
Most NFL games Chris are decided by five points or less,
so so losing clothes don't mean anything. I'm telling you.
I don't buy into that game. They don't think they're
that bad of a team, though they should be. They
shouldn't be. Oh and three, where you're almost out of

(13:29):
the running for the playoffs. I mean, that's what you need,
a miracle finish in that division. I'm sorry, you're just
about done. And that's why I believe they're they're going
to win this week because they can't. They can't afford
to lose this game. And I'm sorry, but Denver is
not that good and they got a bad coach. I

(13:52):
haven't seen it. I just don't believe in Denver. I
think if you if you're the Raiders and that game
is in Las Vegas, correct, yes, and if you don't
win that game, there's there's major issues behind the scene. Well,
if they don't win that game, they their next game
is at Kansas City, so you're looking at oh and five.

(14:15):
If they lose that game against Denver. Now the schedule
does lighten up from there. You got Houston, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Indianapolis. Yeah,
you win if you beat Denver, even if you lose
the Kansas City and you're one in four. But like
I said, Houston, New Orleans, Jacksonville, like Indianapolis, you could

(14:36):
right yourself and maybe get to five hundred if you
if you get together Rob, if they get through that,
that would be about I think that would be nine games.
If they're like one in eight or god forbid, oh
and nine at that point, even maybe two and seven.
That's when I think, I don't know that they'd fire him. Now,

(15:00):
maybe they would just to if it's that bad, But
I certainly think he would be on the hot seat
as far as coming back next season. I really believe that,
because if it's that bad, I mean, they can't let
this thing play out. It doesn't have his record was bad,
and his previous job and maybe he's just cut out

(15:23):
and maybe you finally get to look at it and say,
you know what, maybe maybe he's not a head coach.
But the thing, the things that player tweeted Rob, that's
kind of high school stuff, you know what I mean.
And I'm all for it, you know this. I'm all
for tough coaching and stuff, but some of that stuff
is just not treating guys like men. I mean, you know,

(15:44):
having to memorize every you know, saying in the building.
He said it was like twenty something, you know saying.
I mean, some of that stuff's just just unnecessary and
they can rub grown men of the wrong way, and
maybe that's apparently that is what he's done. You see

(16:06):
this player come out he lost his job after a
year and a half in Denver, and I don't know
if it's that bad yet, but certainly the record is
all right. A seven seven ninety nine on Fox You're
turned away in on Josh McDaniel. A lot of things
expected out of the Raiders this year, none of them

kick it off chrise with Thomas in Ontario, California. You're
on the odd couple of Fox Sports Radio. What up, Thomas?
What's going on y'all? Long time, first time getting through

(18:12):
to you can't stand in New England Patriots, and I
don't think they liked me very much either. That's why
they sent this Josh McDaniels, to make sure we suck.
That's the reason why they didn't hire up offensive coordinator
because they know Josh is coming back, and he's more
than welcome to go back. I think they're sabbotanagin us

(18:34):
so that we can stay at the bottom and they
can rise to the top like those cheaters that they are. Well,
i'll tell you what, I'm sure they would welcome back
Josh mcdan. You're you right about that? Um, well, they
need more than that. You're going to play quarterback to
you know what I mean? They'd be in better hands
than they are, that's for sure. But I agree they

(18:54):
still don't have to play. Their days of winning are overriding.
It looks like it's going the other way. Looks like
and include Belichick, Sean and Sacramento. You're on the couple
of Fox Sports Radio. What up? Sean? You old? My

Fox is cutting y'all the extra checks, y'allun I spent
off shows. Now man, a couple I feel like I
do like the Fines when Laverne is Shirtley. But now man,
back to the business ahead, man, it's all all funny
games today. The Raiders what a disaster. How do you

(20:22):
watch the team in your own division like the Broncos.
Bring a dude, Bring a dude and give him the
keys to the castle and drive it straight into the ground.
I can't believe this dude got a second chance after
what rich Kasachia did last year. He took a team
surrounded with a whole bunch of controversy because of the
other ex coach, a whole bunch of quote unquote talentless receivers,

(20:43):
a bunch of no name dude, and what do you do?
Brought him to the playoffs for a couple of upset victories,
and he still didn't get a shot of head coach.
The Raiders are getting exactly what they deserve. And I
feel like the Davis ownership group, all they ever do
is just reach for these guys. Man, when are they going?
Gluding got a second chance, but we still can't get

(21:05):
my man in case see the offensive coordinator a task
man ugly. Well, what it tells you is that Rob
I said it last week, Mark Davis a starstruck rich
Just whatn't I mean, come on, who's that? Right? Who's that? Nobody?
Nobody could pick him out of a life I mean
loan coaching prowess. But I think you're right, he is starstruck.
He's one of those guys gotta have a name and

(21:27):
all that, And I think sometimes you gotta be careful
about that. Uh there's a reason, uh that sometimes people
just don't work out and it had nothing to do
with their name. That man not just be that good
Jack's in Kansas City. You're in the eye a couple
of Fox Sports rated what you got Jack's Hey, what's
going on? Rob? Thank you for checking my call, sir,
my good brother Chris you sorry? What's up man? How

(21:51):
you feeling on? It's also all good? Nope, Hey check
it out. Man. I'm glad to see him probably lose
his job just to keep some drama going in Oakland,
you know, I mean, well Las Vegas. You see where
I'm at with it, because they still the Oakland Raiders. Um.
But I always love to see the drama that's always
been in that organization, from moves and around to you know,

(22:14):
fire coach after coach after coach after coach. Um. It's
part of the reason why the Chiefs have wanted the
Vision six years in a row. So it wouldn't it
wouldn't be surprised at all if to do loss of job.
And this is why I said, man coach, quarterback Combo
Matters and Andy and Pat are far beyond any of
these dudes, so I says, but the best for show

(23:02):
Our next guest. He has being senior writer, former colleague
of mine over ESPN. The magazine does a fantastic job
and he has just released a new version, I should
say of his book, It's Better to Be Feared now.
That one was a New York Times top ten bestseller,

(23:23):
named book of the Year by several media outlets, and
now he's got some new information in it. We welcome
in Seth Wickersham. Seth, how are you, Seth? What's up?
Great to hear your voice, Chris, how you doing. I'm
great man, It's great to talk to you always. I
do want to say, did you include the cheating notes
cliff notes in this edition of the book or no?

(23:45):
What cheating note from the Patriots? I'm just kidding, Rob.
I mean, I'm happy to talk about that. You know,
I got a lot on the in there about spygate,
what it meant to flate gate? Um, you know that
was some of the most interesting things, because again, you know,
my book it was about you know, my goal with

(24:07):
it was to take readers as close as I possibly
could do the greatness of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady,
but also show what the cost of that greatness was,
some of the downside of it. Not just give kind
of the hooky, sanitized version, give a full three hundred
sixty degree look at it. And so I went, I
went deep on on those scandals. Well, what tell us
about the spy gate? I mean, obviously the NFL and

(24:29):
the Patriots would have you believe it was just kind
of a one time thing. Did you find was this
a pattern of you know, stuff that they were doing,
and you know, tell us about how deep it was
and maybe even if you think it was significantly responsible
for some of their success. Well, they did it since

(24:50):
Belichick's first year in New England. I mean, they had
an entire system where they took you know, kind of
low level Patriot staffers, interns and gave them media credentials
to go down to the field like Craft it would say,
like Craft Productions, and then they would film the opposing
team's sideline and they try to match those signals with

(25:11):
the play calls so that they could try to get
you know, they could anticipate and predict what was coming.
And you know, I think anticipation is everything in football.
And if you have somewhat as smart as Built Belichick
doing it, and as smart as Ernie Adams his right
hittman doing it, you know that it gives you a difference.
And you know, they got there. They were worn three

(25:34):
times by the NFL to stop doing it, and they
kept doing it. Finally it blew up against the New
York Jets in two thousand and seven. And you know
a lot of coaches, owners, executive thoughts that the Patriots
got off easy from their spike gate penalties, and that's
a reason why deflate Gate, which was kind of a

(25:56):
parking ticket violation, they came down so hard on Tom Brady,
Like one owner had told me, it's a makeup call.
And so that's one of the reasons why the flake
gate kind of blossomed into this international scandal was because
of Spygate. This is the reason I think when you
talk about like Bill Belichick's greatness and even Tom Brady,

(26:18):
and obviously you used to have to play football and
make to make the passes and all the other stuff.
But there was a taint and there is a reason
that some people just look at that organization and never
gives it the full credit maybe that they deserve for
all the winning that they did. Is that off base? Well,
I think they do both. I mean there's some people
who are always going to see them, you know as

(26:40):
people who who violated the rules and who are serial cheaters.
And look, during the twenty year dynasty of Bill Belichick
and Tom Brady, they lost a first round take three
times due to rule violations three times, so you know
that's part of their record. You know, the NFL was
viewed as complicit in Spygate to a certain extent because

(27:00):
there was tapes that the NFL went to Foxboro, Massachusetts
to view, and when they were done viewing them, the
NFL executive stomped them into pieces in a boardroom at
Jilatt Stadium. You know, so people looked at it like
they destroyed the evidence and nobody ever knew how far
the cheating went. Right back said, I mean, their greatness
is unquestioned. I mean, you know, to be able to
do what they did in this time is just you know,

(27:23):
it's unprecedented. I don't think it's gonna be matched anytime soon,
but again, it did come with the cost, and I
think you're seeing it. You saw it with some of
these cheating kit scandals. You've seen it with some of
the falling outs in terms of relationships that they've had,
and I think that you're seeing it in terms of
Tom Brady's personal life, the toll that his obsession with
the game takes. Well, And let's talk about that, because

(27:46):
you I know, one of the new things you've added
as well is about that month long retirement he had.
So you know, there was reporting that came out saying
he was basically hoping to get to the Dolphins as
an owner and nan start playing. Well, how true is
that stuff? And tell us the information that you got, Well,
I think that, Look, the Dolphins were tampering. I don't

(28:08):
think that Tom Brady was going to just jump out
of retirement and become an executive with the Dolphins. I
think that Brady. I don't think he's like the type
that makes decisions like that quickly. But look, I mean,
he for someone who's like been you know, in the
public eye for two decades and has been kind of
low drama as him with the couple, with a couple

(28:29):
of exceptions. You know, this has been a very dramatic
year for him. I mean last year, at the end
of last year, they lose that playoff game to the
Rams in horrible fashion. He has been kind of souring
on the Bucks, just feeling exhausted, stressed with all of
his family commitments, stressed with work, and you know, Jeff
Darlington and Adam Schefter, my colleagues report that he's going

(28:51):
to retire. He denies that. Two days after that, he retires,
saying he wants to spend more time with his family.
A week after that, he's saying he wants to return,
and a month after that he indeed returns, and he,
you know, says, after a month away, I've learned that
my places is on the field. And I wonder, like
what his family thinks about that, given that he kind

(29:12):
of used them as the impetus to retire when they
all knew that he was frust started with Bruce Arians
Tampa Bay Bux. I was just I was just going
to ask you that because he got Bruce Arians fired
or displaced or whatever you reassigned. I know he's still
with the organization. But that's a fact, right. Well, I
don't know, but I think that everybody knew that Brady

(29:34):
likes Bruce Arians a lot personally, great dude, but he
felt like that they weren't as buttoned up as he
was used to And when he left New England, he
wanted to play in a different type of environment and
he kind of prized that more than winning. It's like
he went from like Harvard to Florida State. But once
you get in there and you start competing, he knows
there's a right way to approach the game. And you know, look,

(29:55):
the year they won the Super Bowl, they were running
New England's offense. They weren't running Bruce are Aria's offense.
And last year he felt like that they just weren't
as buttoned up as they should have been. And sure enough,
they lose that playoff game. After they come all the
way back against the Rims, they lose a playoff game
by isolating Cooper Cup with a safety, I mean, a
horrible decision. And I don't think that Brady needed to

(30:16):
displace Bruce Arians. I think that everybody knew that a
Brady wanted to return to play, so in a weird way.
The Bucks kind of called his bluff, but be something
had to be different, And you know, Bruce arians decided
to take this executive job in the executive suite, and
of course he ends up back at the side by
chirping on the ref last week. One more thing, incredible information, man,

(30:41):
I can't wait to read this. But before you go,
and we got about a minute or so for your answer,
you do have information also on Belichick and Brady's postgame meeting.
Remember when they played a couple of years ago, Brady's
first trip back to Foxboro. Tell us about that, Well,
I mean I think that, like, look, I went deep
on that game because you just never have two football

(31:02):
minds like that going against each other. Two such a
stute guys. And it came down to the wire. And
after the game, Belichick goes over to the Buck's locker
room and meets with Brady. They hadn't met since Brady left.
I mean, remember I reported in the book when Brady
left told Belichick that he was leaving New England. He
thought it was revealing that Belichick didn't meet with him.
Of course, Belichick ended up being out of town, but

(31:23):
still Brady thought it was revealing of the state of
their relationship that they didn't meet, They end up talking
for twenty minutes, and I think that there's like a
lot of love between those two men, even if there's
not always been a lot of like And I think
that they're kind of like a divorced couple that agreed
to be civil and going forward, has agreed to be
civil for the sake of everybody, but they have no
intention of getting remarried. I mean, like a relationship as

(31:45):
complicated as there is never going to be solved in
a twenty minute conversation. That said, I think it was
good that they met, and I think that there was
a lot of mutual admiration expressed in that meeting. Outstanding stuff, Seth.

(32:49):
the whole base for Rob Parker's daily Dicks against the Spread.
Oh yes, Sheckyl City to one last night. As we
continue along, Chris MGM bet a great place to check
out the odds. Uh to tonight's game. Tonight, I'm gonna

(33:10):
go with my best bet. I'm taking the Cincinnati Bengals
over the Miami Dolphins. It more has to do Chris
with uh the notion that I don't believe Miami's gonna
be four O. Just simple as that has nothing to
do better win, right, I mean anything other than that? Yeah,
they need to win, but I just don't believe Miami's
gonna be foign als. So there you go. I'm taking

(33:31):
the Bengals minus for in sinse in the NATI. Also
a couple of baseball games, Uh, we got lined up
and of course I don't have my place here. We
go for baseball, We're doing the run total. I'm going
Texas Rangers at the Seattle Mariners. Uh, that will be
an over seven for the run total. Over seven Texas

(33:55):
and Seattle and Los Angeles in San Diego eight and
a half is the rue total. I'm going with the
under eight and a half San Diego hosting the Dodgers. Remember,
I'm not telling you who the bet on. I'm just
telling you who I bet on. All right, h well, Rob,

(34:17):
you mentioned Cincinnati game. I did, Yeah, you got the
Bengals tonight. Let me ask you this, If the Dolphins win,
what will it tell you about them? Like where you
add on them? And where will you be if they win?
I will be impressed because I agree. I mean, I'm
not so much picking the Bengals. I don't have to

(34:37):
pick this game. I don't know that I gotta pick um.
But I tell you what, I know that, even if
the Bengals aren't that good, if Miami wins this game
and it is four and old, with the schedule they've played,
I'm gonna have to give them some love. Yeah, but
I'd have to see how Cincinnati plays though before because

(34:58):
they've already beaten good team. No, but it might be
an indictment. I'm just saying it might be. I mean,
if Joe Burrows has five turnovers, I'm not ready to
crown Miami. They shouldn't. I don't. I don't mean crown them. Like,
here's where I'm at on Miami. Right, Okay, I think
they're gonna make the playoffs, but I don't consider them
like a legitimate threat to win the AFC. I think Baltimore,

(35:23):
Kansas City, and Buffalo are all better than them. I
think that's fair in that. But here's here's why I'm
not buying into Miami like that. The Patriots aren't that good.
Chris Right, they beat the Patriots well, but but I'm
still okay, but but the Patriots aren't that good. Then
they also had a colossal the defense for Baltimore had

(35:46):
an all timer. I mean, like like you could play
we play that game a hundred times and you wouldn't
win it. I'm not taking anything. They won the games.
I hear get that credit, but I'm just saying that
when I look at them, it's not like wild. They
really dismantled Baltimore and they won the game, and board

(36:07):
did they put the work on New England. New England's
not that great. It's Belichick and they score thirty five
points or whatever, you know where you look at and
go yeah, right right yeah, like like I haven't had
that so tonight. And same thing of course with Buffalo
where they were large. Basically I'll played, but they again,
I hear you. That's that's all I'm saying is I

(36:29):
need to see tonight and we'll see. If Joe Burrow's
terrible and turns the ball over a lot, then it
tells me Cincinnati is what I thought they would be.
Chris in that year after the Super Bowl, I already
predicted that they wouldn't make the playoffs. I'll give Miami
some credit for that. If, like, if Burrow does have
that type of game, for me, it would show a

(36:50):
degree of mental toughness, because to your point, it's not
easy to go start four and zero or win four
straight games if you're not a good team. In the NFL,
they've played some really good teams, and the toughness, the
mental toughness they showed in coming back against Baltimore, I get.
I do think Baltimore is better I think Buffalo is better,

(37:13):
but they still you still have to give them credit
for pulling out those games. And if they won this game,
and I'm not, I still would not say they're a
legitimate contender, but I would beginning to think, Okay, they
can get there, Like by the end of the year,
I may I may be thinking of them, or maybe
the middle of the year as a contender. So we'll see.

(37:33):
I'm interested in this game tonight though, but we got
two hours left of the odd couple. You know what
to do, keep it a lot. Fox Sports Radio
