(00:00):
Jo Jakt and sist one on twopoint seven Kisse fam good morning, good
morning, clouds, this morning, sunshine later eyes the upper seventies, upper
eighties. So I'm really interested inthis. I mean, you know,
someone who's worked in the entertainment businessfor a long time. Taylor is setting
records with her tour. She's nowtaking the documentary of the tour, which
you're going to tell her she's allowedto do even with the strike to the

(00:22):
movie theaters. But it's it's thebusiness model in which she's doing it that
has a lot of people talking, right Cecity. Yeah, and you know
she's done documentaries in the past withstreaming services, but it's interesting that she's
decided to do this in theaters thistime around. And as we know,
we are about well, I guessexactly a month out from her movie hitting

(00:46):
theaters on October thirteenth. Ticket pricethey're going to be nineteen eighty nine.
I heard Love That, I LoveThat, And it's expected to top one
hundred million during its opening weekend andthat's just opening weekend alone. So if
you're wondering, how is Taylor ableto promote this movie during this uh sag
Aftra strike and all that she isa member of sag Aftra. But apparently

(01:10):
Taylor was granted a waiver by theunions because the eras Tour filmed concert is
unscripted and has no actors or writersassociated with it, right, So that's
how she was able to kind ofget around this. And you know,
it's so interesting. We saw thishappen as soon as she announced that she
was coming out with this film andthe release date was going to be October

(01:33):
thirteenth, anybody who had a moviecoming out that day pulled out. They
cleared the lame, right, hereally did. That was like the Exorcist
Believer. There was a Meg Ryanromcom like, how many years is it,
Ben since you've had a Meg Ryanmail? I feel like dumb money
is the name of the movie. And apparent like she's like, I'm not
going to go up against Taylor Swift. So they moved that movie and then

(01:53):
like as a Christian movie too,so they all moved their release date.
But what truly is revolutionary is theelement of how she's doing this. She
went directly to AMC as we know, so she avoided movie studios all together.
So what that means is that thisreally shakes everything up when it comes
to the amount of money that she'sgoing to make for this film. When
they go to split this, itgets split between her and the movie theaters

(02:16):
and nobody else in between. It'sa good thing because it's a couple of
billion dollars she made on the road, so you know she's going to rack
up also at the movie theaters.I mean, it's an incredible It really
is an incredible example of a newway of doing it and completely shattering old
records. I guess. So ifshe cut out the studios, that would

(02:36):
mean she then or her company producedit herself, right, They didn't use
the studio teams, and then theywent directly to the route of distribution to
make the deal and deliver the product. So they didn't need the studio in
that case. And all the contentis original. It's original content from her
from her life. It doesn't needwriters, it doesn't really need any other

(02:59):
outside directors. It is what itis. Yeah, I mean, it's
predicted that it's going to make aroundfour hundred million overall. I mean,
and you're talking like if you goand watch it at AMC, it'll be
at all theaters. But if youwatch it at AMC, you're gonna have
like the merch, the popcorn merchcome to a version of her concert.
Exactly. Everything's gonna be off themedfor the movie, and that's going to

(03:20):
be more money that's going to bemade towards it. And so it's just
say she's done streaming before, butnow she's doing this in theater experience.
I think if I'm Taylor, I'msaying, oh, if you couldn't come
to my show, here's an extensionof the experience by physically going to sit
with other fans in your community, experience the merche experience what the concert kind

(03:43):
of was like. So you know, come one, come all at a
fraction of the party, at afraction of the cause, with a lot
more accessibility, but it still givesyou that tangible feeling of being around fans
listening to the songs yea and maybemaybe full songs are in the movie you
can sing along to you as ifyou're at a concert. Oh yeah,
The month of October is going tobe like the Month of Taylor because it's

(04:05):
going to be the countdown to thismovie. On the thirteenth and then her
album comes out on Kiss FM,day one, O two seven ten twenty
seven October twenty Yeah, I haveto be reminded every year. Well it's
it's how can we forget? Shepicked kiss FM day have her album come
out. It's been the year ofTaylor. We continue to be okay,
says thank you very much so beingkiss FM. Here coming up next,

(04:27):
we're gonna pay your bills in thefive six two
