Magician Chris Angel, what's going on on? Man? How you then?
What's up? My brother? Last time I went to your
show had so much fun and it's really incredible if
people haven't had a chance to see it. When you're
in Vegas, check him out. He's a planet. Hollywood. Um,

this is exciting though. You've got a brand new show
kicking off on the CW, Magic with the Stars. Break
it down for us? Is it Dancing with the Stars
but they're doing magic? Now? Has that this is crazy
because you've seen my show. You see me levitation and
fly around and do the craziest thing vanished up here
in the audience, right mentalism close up? Well, I had
this crazy idea of doing COVID. What would it be

like if I took two celebrities, taught them my illusions
that I never revealed, my levitation, my flying, my cutting,
my vanishing, reappearing, and and then basically have them go
on stage and then myself as a judge, Emmy Award UH,
Comedian Lonnie Love, uh, mass magician Lance Burton, hosted by

Eddie Griffin. We all just sit there and judge them
in front of people in my theater, and the concept
was born and it is just such a killer show.
Miles Brown from Blackish and Corbin Blue are literally flying
and levitating an episode one which premiers uh this Saturday,

October two, eight seven Central c W Magic with the Stars.
We're waiting a few seasons two Mario Lopez against you.
We're gonna have to take the next level though. I
want to do, uh, some sort of crazy Houdini escape
if you want to hear something funny, mar Two things. One,
I know you have a love for m m A
like I do. And my two heroes I had on

Randy Quitre, four time UFC champion and Frank Mere uh
two time heavyweight champion. Uh, we're on there. And they
brought a video game to life like Mortal Kombat to life.
Plus they did two of the categories. So and then
I had Genuine on who who did like this crazy

escape that Houdini wouldn't even do and he literally only drowned.
I had to pull them out it one unconscious. But
I think you're up with some crazy path. Wait a minute,
wait a minute, rewinde a little bit the genuine Z
because I was everywhere. What happened? You can't just breathe past.
Yeah he almost died and then anyway, what happened right there?
But so so genuine is like you know, ten million

albums strong, great R and B saying, nicest guy comes
to my show like you have and it's like, Chris,
I want to do the show. It's like awesome, as like,
what do you want to do? He's like I gave
him some choices, like I have a fear of being
under water, like I can't hold my breath long in
the fifteen seconds. And I was like, well, we don't
have to do They's like, no, I want you to

(02:52):
train because I know you, like are all about the mind,
body and spirit. So it's like, okay, come in. So
we did some reading exercises lout really in the first day.
I got him from fifteen seconds to a minute and
twenty seconds holding his breath, got him in the water,
and then I showed him how to pick stuff. And
the next thing, you know, he kind of panicked because

he couldn't undo his cup with the pick, and he
started thinking about everything else instead of being in the moment,
and he blacked out. And I see him and I'm like, shit,
I mean whatever pulled him out and uh and he
went he was unconscious, he didn't remember. He was like,
I don't remember being in the water, like it was

(03:34):
the craziest thing. And then I was like, dude, that's cool,
Like you've proven that you like that you were going
to do this, And he's like, no, I gotta do this.
This is not about the TV series or the show anymore.
This is about me overcoming my fear for me and
you know, like someone like gold medalists Harrel Lipinski, you know,
brought the gold home for USA. You know, I had

(03:57):
a fear of heights that she wouldn't want to get
off the ground, and so I had to work her
through that. Um just Lonnie, Lonnie Love had the spear
of rats and she saw a rat. Literally, she jumped
out of a chair on my lap. We fell on
the ground like Frank Frank slapped me. To pick just
the craziest fun family show on television. If Mario does

season two, please include Rats, No, because I don't. I'm
like Lonnie, I don't like Rats. I'm not a fan.
I would be like genuine and just who would be
a good competitor though, Um that for me to go
up against. Yeah, like maybe Oscar there you go, that'd
be good, awesome. Oscar is afraid of everything though, So
I think I feel pretty good right there. I'll have

to tell them that's awesome and congrats on the show. Um.
I wanted to ask you, Chris. I know you hold
a bunch of Guinness Book of World records, but it's
been a minute since your last one. Is there any
records out there that you'd like to break? I just
being a great dad. Uh, you know my family now,
you know I I've had a lot of easiness happened

(05:00):
in my life recently, and uh, it kind of put
things in perspective. Um, I I do mind Freak. You know.
I have the number one best selling show, not magic show,
but show in Vegas. That's a pretty big accomplishment. Now
I have the new TV series. Now between doing those
two things, I just want to focus on my family,

(05:21):
you know. I I love training. I'm starting to train
with Frank. Actually I have a gym and I'm a
gym in my house, so I'm starting to roll around
with him. That's it, and having some fun. That's awesome. Man.
I'm so happy to hear that everything's going well, both
personally and professionally. Congratulations Chris. My mind's racing on future
magic tricks that I want to try to accomplish and overcome.
