Speaker 1 (00:00):
Come on with Mario a little bit. Mario Lopez joining
me now on Zoom sportscaster My girl, Aaron Andrews. Welcome
to the show, Aaron. How are you what, top babe?
How are you doing? I'm doing well. I'm doing well.
Where are we talking to you from? I'm in Los Angeles,
not in Tampa for the Super Bowl? I wouldn't you
normally be down there too? I feel like that those
are like the random places always running to you, right, yeah, no,

(00:23):
And you know, unless it's like my team I've gotten
to the point now or maybe at the age, unless
it's uh my team which has never gone the Chargers,
that's my team. Yeah, I'm l a all the way,
but the Chargers are my are right team. Hey, we
just got Rookie of the Year, Justin Herbert just got
Rookie of the Year. The future looks bright, Yeah it is.

(00:45):
It's very exciting. But um, so, are you not gonna
planning on being in Tampa at all? You just haven't
gone there yet. I'm not. I'm actually from Tampa. I
was not born there, but I was raised there. Went
to college like an hour and a half away from Tampa.
And oh, I mean this little thing called COVID right
just kind of turned our world upside down. And we
had thought about maybe going with a couple of friends.

(01:08):
And because they're not allowing a lot of people in
that stadium, those prices for tickets are intent. So uh,
I will sit and have my own bathroom, I will
drink as much tequila as I want, and I can
cheer for anybody because nobody's watching say that that we're
the exact same program. I love it. I love it. Um,

(01:28):
another great season of NFL is over. Considering all the
protocols and everything, did you think going in though that
for a second this season might not happen? Yeah, you know,
I didn't know what to expect, to be honest with you,
when I got word that they were going to give
it a try. We uh, I had heard right off
the bat that the players, you know, didn't really want
anybody on the field, and that are you know, our

(01:50):
role was probably going to be compromised. We weren't gonna
be down doing our normal job. And I remember I
was crying. I mean I went into my bedroom and
I just started crying to my spain. I just said,
I They're not I don't think we're gonna work. I
don't think I'm gonna, you know, get to be a
sideline reporter on the field. And Fox luckily right away
said look, we're gonna figure it out. We're gonna try to,
you know, make this all work. And then I was like,

(02:12):
I'm in the front row. I can't even be down
on the field. And my husband's like, at least you're
in the building. And look, if you if you think
about what everybody has gone through in this world, losing
their job, losing family members, loved ones, and that fact
they were able to pull off this NFL season, it
was I think a fantastic distraction for everybody, um and

(02:33):
much needed and really remarkable. So way to go NFL,
A way to go TV Networks, and I'm saying thankful
for the fans tune in. I agree. I agree, it
was impressive that they were able to bring it to
pull it off in much needed Just like you said, um,
being that you're on Fox, they're getting into the streaming
game with with to be am, I pronouncing that right
to be What are yeah? What what what are they?

(02:55):
What are we gonna be seeing on to be? Well,
First of all, I know everybody dialed into all these
streaming services, right. It got us through the quarantine, It
got us through these hard times, especially in the summer.
Um So to Be is our new streaming service that
they offer over thirty thousand different movies and television content.
You've got Oscar winning movies, You've got action, you've got comedy,

(03:17):
you've got you know, scary movies, stuff for your kids, Mario,
um anything that you could want. And they're calling it
kind of the comfort food of streaming services, like it's
some of the old movies. One that I'm going to
be dialed into is one I watched at the theater,
American Hustle with Jennifer Lawrence. Like all the movies back
in the day you were kind of watching and you
miss And this is the perfect time to do it

(03:39):
for me. After Sunday, after the Super Bowl, I'm gonna
kick back because I've been working, you know, you know
since September NonStop, and I'm gonna get down and watch
all the movies and shows I haven't seen a while.
You can also check out some of the Fox shows
as well. Master Singer, Mass Dancer, Lego Masters for your
kiddo's Hell's kitchen because that's what mine is normally like.

(03:59):
And yeah, just get back to the get back to
being on my couch. I've missed it so much. I'm
a big fan of streaming. Do you know the significance
of the name to be or where that came from
or I'm trying. I was trying to think of the correlation.
Hopefully somebody from Toby text me right away. I was
just curious because I guess, you know, I see the
the NBC the peacock because they have the emblem, and

(04:20):
then what's the other one for HBO Max hbos. But
but I was like, Aaron, just make it up. I'm
sure it's fine to be or not to be with free.
That's key, that's key. It's massive, it's pretty, and it's
a pretty compliment with all your other streaming purposes. So

(04:40):
TV dot or sorry to be dot TV. You guys
have thrown me off with this question. I was like,
I was just curious. I was just curious. We won't
even hear this, but I was just curious, like what
was the thing? I like, it's it's catchy. I like
a yard in big trouble for not donaling me in
on this I've got all the other stuff here, but
nothing on that. You should just make up a new
reason for that name every time you do an interview

(05:01):
about it. Or maybe it's a it's an acronym the
undisputed uh bitchen dependent. I don't know right, Um, nobody
is getting back to free. That's what we wanted to
get across, to be or not to be in sreence. Somewhere,
there's a bunch of people literally texting each other. What
does it mean they're gonna hit you with that emoji

(05:23):
with the guy okay? Um, You've also got a fashion
line where by Aaron Andrews. What's uh what? What? How
would you describe to look? Well, I would describe it
as I need to get on board and get your
wife some Chargers gear. It's team apparel. It's all so cool. However,
she's a she's a Steelers fran because she's from Pittsburgh.
But wait, done and done, she's hooked up. I'll give her.

(05:46):
I'll give her two sets. I'll give her chargers. I'll
give her Steelers. So if she wants to get along
with you, or maybe not get along with you, like
sounds good? Oh, I love that. That's smart. We started
it up two years ago. We started in the NFL
to see how it would do. We kicked some watch
asked we were so excited. I'll tell you what's behind
the name where everybody that you know? So yeah, that

(06:07):
one I got. It's Where by Aaron Andrews, and it's,
you know, a way for women to cheer for their
favorite teams everywhere and anywhere, nice stadium or at the tailgates.
So yeah, it's a lot of you know, like fashion favorites.
Like we've got bomber jackets. Style is sweatshirts, jeans shirts,
I'm looking at my rose here, plaid shirts. We did

(06:29):
a lot of tide Eyes here. Yeah. We just signed
the NBA last year, we got n C double A.
We're hoping for all the leagues. So yeah, Mrs Locat,
she's gonna be hooked up. Thank you very much. I
appreciate that. That's a very smart move right there. Good
for you. And I saw on your I G that
you're a bit of a ship's creep fanatic. Massive have
you have you had a chance to meet any of

(06:50):
the cast yet? No, I will tell a story. I
haven't told this yet. We worked a Broncos game last year,
not this season, but last season, and um, We're sitting
in the hotel lobby and I looked over and I
was just like, oh my gosh, it's Eugene Levy and
it's Catherine O'Hara, and I was, oh my god, Oh
my god, home alone, splash. This is intense. I wasn't

(07:14):
dialed in on Ship's Creek yet, and now that I'm
such a die hard, I'm watching it for the second season.
I've got the T shirts. I just bought Charissa Thompson
a rose Apop whatever their store is called. Yeah, I
thought the prayer cankle I've got outside my house here
you people floor. Matt didn't know that that was the
Ship's Creek cast, and it's good I didn't because I

(07:37):
probably would have ships creaked down my leg, you know
what I mean. Wait, so you're only on season two? No,
this is this you're watching it again. I'm watching it again.
But during Quarantine I refused to finish it because I
didn't want it to end and I didn't want to
lose them as friends. So I feel like, now that

(07:57):
I'm gonna watch it again, I may or may not end.
Did I know how it ends. I got it. I've
seen all the picture as moral looked amazing. I just
don't want to feel so. I mean, I feel like
they would really want to meet me, you know what
I mean, totally want to meet you. Are you kidding me?
The feeling, I'm sure it's mutual. It sounds like they
were already trying, but you hadn't watched the show yet.
I've interviewed a lot of the cast. I'm gonna totally

(08:18):
bring your name up next time I see them right there.
My only claim to fame with them is that my
husband is Canadian and I know they're with them and uh.
He for Christmas reached out to them via d m
on the Ship's Creek Instagram site and asked them if
he could get a signed picture. They didn't respond. God

(08:40):
love him. He went to a Hollywood store and bought
one of the sign pictures. You know, the ones that
you do are like the thousand you don't even know
what they're real, the ones he used to do after
he played hockey games. And he's like, this is real,
a minute of authenticity. I'm like, you just paid and
you go said, I paid a lot of money for it.
I'm like cult, be a faith. It's it's the gesture

(09:03):
that counts. It's the gesture there. I love it. I
love that. Speaking of your man, do you guys? Do
you guys do Valentine's Day? Do you celebrator? Is just
like a because some people are anti Valentine's Day because
I don't need the day to be appreciating each other.
I'm not anti. I just the problem is we never
know if there's going to be a game schedule, so

(09:23):
I always think that he was either going to be
on the road or be at a hockey game. So
for us, we always did it like either the day
before or a couple of days after. So no, definitely
not anti. Listen anyway to wine and Dine. I am
down for emphasis on the dine, but m yeah, no,
I'm in. Okay, good good, I'm with you on that
all right. Before I let you go, Aeron, I'm gonna
put you on the spot. Quick questions, quick answers. Okay,

(09:45):
what is your Netflix or streaming recommendation? To watch? My
Netflix recommendation right now? We're obsessed with The Crown. Were
only like four season, four episodes in, and my to
be is Master Chef because I need to master being
any sort of chef right now that football is over

(10:06):
and I gotta get dialed in on cooking. Oh wow,
he's lucky. Okay, so you know we're not saying it's
good horrible. That's why I gotta watch a cooking show again.
The Gestures Appreciated song you know all the words too.
Oh gosh, my heart will go on Selene Dion, Wow,
you go with the ballad? Okay. Some celebrity crush growing up?

(10:29):
John Knight from The New Kids on the Block. Wow,
that was a quick John your body say November. His
dog is Nico Jordan's and his brother. I was so
upset when he dated Tiffany, very upset. Wow. I totally
all time favorite athlete Larry Bird. Okay, interesting, Um, who's

(10:52):
your pick for next year's Super Bowl? Who's my pick
for next year's Super Bowl? It's going I would say
the Chargers and Steelers, but that wouldn't work out very
well because that's a fcod be the championship. But I'll
take it. Yeah, that could be the a f C championship.
Who's my pick? Who's your team? By the way, well,
I was raised a Green Bay Packers fan. But um,
I think when you do this for a living, you

(11:14):
just become so familiar with the guys, the players, the coaches,
the stories, their families, so you end up cheering for guys.
My dad always does it. Who's nice to me? So
coach here for the players that are nice to me.
That's a dad move. I would totally do that. If
Tom Brady comes back, which I know he's going to,
I'm gonna say the bucks are my my choice to
make it again from the NFC and the a f C.

(11:37):
Let's let's let's put the bills in there. I mean,
you can't see enough people jump in on like tables
and where, you know, setting themselves on fire and doing
crazy things out there. Let's say that those are those
are quality videos. Those are quality videos. Well, meanwhile, we're
going to go to to be tv dot com to
learn more and all about to be possibly the origin

(11:58):
of the name even uh, Aaron, thank you, let it go.
I could have aris What the hell is? No one's
getting back to me. No one's getting back to there
like decline right. So nice to see you and hopefully
hopefully we'll see you in person soon, and please uh
send my love to Joe, all right, take care of

(12:21):
