(00:12):
I love you all, Love you, I love you all. Welcome to
the Morning Show with Presden Scott Thursdayon the radio program, July the eleventh.
It was one week ago today thatI was sleeping. It was fourth
of July. We weren't working. It was lovely anyway, welcome friends.
(00:36):
It's show fifty one to ninety threeof this radio program. And so we
welcome you ruminators, men, women, males and females, boys and girls,
ladies and gentlemen. We thank youvery much for joining us as always
today, as as is always thecase on Thursday Busy Show, we got
Steve Stewart joining us in the secondhour. Doctor Dave will help us feel
(00:56):
a little bit better, naturally,I want to underscore that. Naturally.
See in those segments, it's aboutdrilling down to the cause of why you're
feeling crappy, not putting a bandaid on it. See a lot of
and and honest good doctors will admitthis that a lot of medicine today is
(01:19):
all about giving you a pill andmasking the problem. And when we spend
time with doctor Hearts, it's aboutdrilling down. And so today, in
fact, today on the program, and pull this up here for a second.
Today we're going to cover three importantthings you can do to live healthier
(01:40):
and longer. Oh yeah, wegot a road trip idea. We're going
to take your calls in the thirdhour. Who's it going to be?
Who's it going to be? Whowill the Democrats nominate? Who will when
the smoke clears? Is Joe goingto be on the ticket? Or is
(02:05):
Kamala or do you think somebody elsewho's going to be at the top of
the ticket. I want to hearfrom you, and yes, Democrats,
I would love to. I knowyou're out there. I know it.
I know it because even though youdisagree with me, you like me.
I know that. So anyway Imentioned at the start of the show,
(02:31):
I love you because I have to. You know. Our verse today comes
from First Corinthians thirteen, verse four. It says love is patient, love
is kind, Love does not envyor boast. It is not arrogant.
It's just part of the description thatcovers love. I have described to people
(02:59):
what Proverbs says, for example, about friendship. A true friend. If
you read all of Proverbs and whatit says about friendship, a true friend
is willing to lose the friendship tobe a friend, A true friend speaks
truth to you, says, comeon, you can do better, challenges
(03:23):
you make better choices, encourages you. I've always used this description, and
I will be honest with you.My understanding of love changed when I became
a parent. It just does.Any parent understands this statement. I do
(03:49):
not always like my children, butI always love my children, and I
think that's what's important for us aswe think about love and loving your neighbor
and loving your enemies. I don'thave to like everybody, and I don't
(04:15):
have to like everybody's choices, butGod commands me to love people. And
so love isn't just this warm, squishy kind of feeling and oh everything's okay,
Because as a parent you learn thatsometimes love means saying no, that's
(04:40):
not right. Love means saying no, you can't do that. Why because
you can't. You don't have togo into a big definition or description on
why you're the parent. No,you love your child. You sometimes have
to take positions that aren't necessarily warmand friendly, and so our verse today
(05:10):
underscores the importance of love. Idon't like Joe Biden, but I'm commanded
by scripture to love him and lovehim enough to pray for him. There
are a lot of people I don'tlike because of the things that they do.
(05:30):
A lot of people sometimes that's me. Sometimes I'm like, yeah,
I don't do very good. There, don't lose sight. Love is patient,
Love is kind. Love does notenvy or boast, and it is
not arrogant. Eleven minutes past thehour Peek inside the American Patriots Almanac is
(05:53):
next Beck. He's always been awhite guy, Glenn. We got it
licensed to talk at nine to noonon a WFLA. Then this music just
(06:14):
say, get yourself some Raisin Brand. I don't know why. I just
have Raisin Brand in my head whenI hear this music. You know,
the sun shining with the eyes andthe smile and then the two scoops of
raisins on the box. I justsee Raisin Brand every time I hear this
music. July eleventh, Inside theAmerican Patriots Almanac, seventeen sixty seven.
(06:38):
John Quincy Adams, sixth US Presidentborn in Braintree, Massachusetts. I have
been to the home where he was, in fact delivered where he was home
where he called home. John Adamswhere he and Abigail retired. Peacefield is
(06:59):
one of the best stops to makeif you're ever in the Boston area,
make the drive. Peacefield is partof the National Park Service. And and
on occasion they open the library up, the Adams Library, which is attached
(07:20):
to the home. It is incrediblewhat's inside there, the history, the
books that were gifts and that wereused by the family. It's incredible.
It's sorry. And then in eighteenoh four, on July eleventh, the
(07:42):
most famous duel in American history andthe fatal shooting of one of the nation's
founding fathers. The duel between VicePresident Aaron Burr and former Treasury Secretary Alexander
Hamilton, happened on this day, eight in eighteen oh four. Can you
(08:03):
imagine we lived at it? Therewas there's a I mean, obviously they're
in our history. There are thereare things that we're not so proud of.
And that's why pulling down monuments toConfederate generals and so forth is just
stupid, because we honor all kindsof things in this country that not all
(08:26):
of us agree with. But theymark history. They mark a time period.
Dad, who is that that wasa general? Of the Confederate Army.
What was that about? And sothe lesson begins. But we remove
those, and so we rob subsequentgenerations of learning from our past. Could
(08:50):
you imagine if Congress today settled thingsthe old fashioned way? Can you imagine?
Yeah? I mean they walking stickboom, popping them on the head.
Sir, what was that? Look? Why sir, you insult me
(09:13):
with your disdain. You're channeling yourinner foghorn. Leghorn? Oh absolutely,
that's like a South Carolina representative orsenator. Why sir? Eh it?
And then you'd have a few loyalistsstill around. I say, good fellow,
(09:39):
did you mean to bring scorn uponyour family? What? Yes,
I said scorn? You think medaft? Meet me at dawn in the
hill. If someone shoots somebody come. But look at it this way.
(10:01):
Had it not happened, we wouldhave been robbed of the musical Hamilton.
This is true. Did you eversee that? Did you ever see Hamilton?
I? Yeah, I saw theversion they did on Disney So Broadway,
But yeah, yeah, yeah,it's I think it's spectacular. I
mean, yeah, there are acouple of spots that are a little rough
(10:24):
language wise, but I think Ithink the music is spectacular, the skills,
the I mean, I loved it. I know they took a little
license, but that'sn't everybody when whenit comes to performance and Broadway and movies
and so forth. So I'm okaywith that. But had they not had
that duel, Disney would have beenrobbed of the only thing that was worthwhile
(10:46):
on Disney in the last ten years. I mean, at the very least
seventeen minutes past the hour come backwith an auction site. You won't believe.
I am so geeked to talk aboutthis. When we made our trip
(11:13):
to Boston, we did it's wedid. We did a US History tour
with some of our kids along theEast Coast, and in the second history
trip, we did the Boston JohnAdams, the Freedom Trail, the USS
Constitution, I mean, all ofthe places, all of them. It
was spectacular. It really was okay. And we caught a game at Fenway.
(11:37):
The Twins were in town and soI had to watch Minnesota play Boston
and we sat right next to theGreen Monster, and that was pretty cool.
They had a they have a familysection at Fenway Park, which was
awesome. No profanity, it wasjust terrific. Anyway, we also went
to and you hear me reference thisa lot. The music of the American
(12:01):
Revolution in philadelphia's literally walking distance rightdown the street from Independence Hall. You
just walk down and you're walking throughthe history of this country as you do
it. And the museum is there, and one of the exhibits that's there
is Washington's battlefield tent, and theway that they present it is literally tear
(12:24):
inducing. It's just it's so remarkable. They talk about the history and this
Washington insisted on being on the battlefieldwith his men. He would not go
elsewhere. He was going to bewith them. And so he had two
(12:45):
tents, the tent that he sleptin and his office was in. And
that tent was preserved and saved byduring the Civil War by his daughter,
granddaughter granddaughter anyway, because his wife'sdaughter ended up marrying Roberty Lee and was
(13:09):
the wife of either daughter or granddaughterwas married to Roberty Lee. I mean,
it's a remarkable tangling of the storyand how she ends up saving some
artifacts during the Civil War, andother artifacts were saved at different points in
time. Well, a guy's acollector, he usually collects civil war stuff.
(13:33):
I didn't know, but Goodwill hasan online auction site. I had
no idea. And so this collectoris looking at this item up forbid,
and it's a piece of fabric andthe note says a piece of George Washington's
tent from the History Building at JamestownExposition nineteen oh seven, property of John
(13:58):
Burn's December twenty third, nineteen ohseven. And he looked at it,
and this is a collector and he'slike, really, and then he kind
of zoomed in on it. Hesaid, yeah, that looks kind of
old. So he took a shot. He bought the thing and spent like
(14:20):
thirteen hundred dollars on it. Couldn'ttell His wife eventually told her and she's
like, there is no way.He sent it off to the museum to
have it verified, and the curatorsaid, that's a piece of his dining
tent. There are nine known piecesof it, and the museum now has
(14:46):
three plus this one on display. And so he had a dining tent,
and then he had a separate tent. The separate tent, the one he
lived in literally while he was onthe battlefield, is all display and it's
a presentation that I think is justone of the most moving things in the
world because you literally see the curtaincome up and behind the scrim is the
(15:09):
actual tent displayed on a replica battlefield, if you will, of our founding
president and it's his he was inthat that's where he lived during the Revolutionary
War, and to see it,it's just staggering. Well, this to
me is just I mean, thisis goosebump inducing at Goodwill. At Goodwill,
(15:35):
and we talk about that from timeto time, how these things just
pop up and people go into Goodwillstores or they go into a flea market
and they buy this stuff. It'slike stuff just comes out in the strangest
ways in places. And so yeah, it's now on display at that same
museum. I'm just telling you,if you ever go to Philadelphia, if
(15:56):
you're ever in the area, you'vegot to go in that stretch by Independence
Hall down to the Museum of theAmerican Revolution. It is just spectacular.
So anyway, yeah, I'd probablywait a while if I spent thirteen hundred
bucks on a maybe ever bought anythingon auction eBay, but like it was,
(16:26):
you know, something for the kiddo'sokay. You know one of those
bicycle seats when they're little and youput it on the back. I actually
have two documents that I have purchasedat auction that were looked at by the
experts at the American the Museum ofthe American Revolution. Really cool stories twenty
eight after the hour, come back, Big Stories in the press box.
Next it's the Morning Show with PrestonScott, violating all rules of professionalism.
(17:00):
I'm still eating my oatmeal. Sorry, real sticky anyway. Yeah, you
know, you're not supposed to dostuff like that, but I don't.
I tell everybody I'm not good atwhat I do. I'm just not.
But I'm okay with that. I'veaccepted that about myself. I don't know
why John does. But you know, as as the grand oompov of things
(17:22):
that go out over the radio wavesin Tallahassee, you have my permission to
eat breakfast on the radio, especiallyif it's crunchy, because we're in an
oral media. And what's so funabout that is my wife would love that,
because my wife actually chooses crunchy foodsfor the texture and the sound.
(17:45):
She'll take a potato chip, openher mouth up wide, and just go
crunch and it just makes her laugh. It just makes her happy. So
yeah, that kind of fits.I suppose big stories in the press box
this morning, not going deep, been much, but we're just going to
kind of put these out there. The Arizona rancher George Allen Kelly. Now
(18:07):
we'll talk about this later this month. We've got Heesus Rodriguez coming back on
the program. Jesus is a retiredmember of the United States Border Patrol.
He's a retired agent, was servingour country for better than two decades.
And how did we find him. He's a listener of this show and he
used to call in during What's theBeef. He lives in Casa Grande,
(18:29):
Arizona, which happens to be aplace where I played a lot of high
school golf events, but I digress. Jose called into the program and at
some point he talked about what hedid professionally, and I was like,
whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You need to send me
an email, sir, And sohe did. And he's been a guest
expert because he still does contracting workand he knows all those people still serving
(18:53):
at the border, and so hegives us an unvarnished view of what's going
on from the agent's perspective, andwe've learned things that we never would have
known about the southern border. Imean, they put the wall up,
they put ramps up and try toget cars going over at the wall.
(19:15):
I mean, it's crazy stuff thatthey do to get their people into the
country, for the cartels to smuggleand all that. Anyway, the Arizona
rancher that shot and killed a someoneon his property that turned out to be
an illegal immigrant, a jury votedto acquit him. They thought about filing
(19:38):
charges again, they have dismissed thecharges. A judge threw the charges out.
It's over. That man can goback to living his life. Good
for him, it's defending his property. Come on, now, this is
ironic. Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sodemayer, who co sign an opinion claiming the
(20:00):
Second Amendment does not protect the privateright of armed self defense, was in
fact protected by her armed guards whoshot a would be carjacker. Us Marshall's
protecting a Supreme Court justice who doesn'tbelieve in the Second Amendment right to self
(20:25):
defense is protected by the Second Amendmentright of self defense. It's in our
local news. Don't know if youheard about it. A woman arrested for
making death threats against Florida Governor RohanDeSantis. Don't know the nature of the
threats, just that she has beenarrested. And check out her face.
I'm showing it to the guys. She's proud, or she's certified. She's
(20:52):
certifiably nuts. She's a Riverview woman, twenty years of age. Danielle Callaway,
enjoy your time in prison. Danielleand Boeing. Boeing agrees to plead
guilty to a felony in a dealwith the Justice Department. Families of the
(21:21):
some of the three hundred and fortysix people that died in two plane crashes
of their Boeing seven thirty seven Maxin twenty eighteen and twenty nineteen are are
asking the judge to throw out theagreement. Said, no way, this
should not be allowed. They're payingthe federal government four hundred and eighty seven
(21:44):
million dollars in a fine and investingfour hundred and fifty five million in safety
and compliance programs. Really, sopart of the deal is to do your
job, to apply safety programs toyour airliners. What a novel plea agreement.
Needless to say, this is asweetheart deal, and the families that
(22:07):
are involved are saying no, no, no, no no no, no,
no, no no, we arenot allowing our loved ones to be
footnotes in this plea deal. Sowe'll see where that all leads. Forty
one minutes past the hour. Moreproof it's the Morning Show with Preston Scott
(22:33):
more proof that we were talking yesterdayabout the snowflake problem we have. I
was sharing some intel late in yesterday'sprogram, and if you missed it,
(22:56):
just subscribe to the b Line blogbline blogger dot blogspot dot com. Scott
Beacon and he wrote a piece documentingdata about how fragile the gen z you
know, snowflakes are, and notall of them. Look, we paint
(23:17):
with a broad paintbrush around here.Okay, there are always exceptions, and
I'm quite certain your little precious oneis the exception of the rule in all
the snowflakes that yours is not asfragile as the rest that you raise yours
to be hearty and have a stoutconstitution that said, the bulk of gen
(23:37):
zers are softies. They're sissies. They can't handle rejection, they can't handle
the word no. They're crappy workers. They get their nose out of joint
over nothing. And that's just areality. That's not opinion, that's fact.
That's what we're dealing with right now. Ask any employer about working with
young people today. It is auniversal problem. Enter Violet Affleck. Violet
(24:08):
is the daughter eighteen of Jennifer Garnerand Ben Affleck, and so she appeared
to the Los Angeles City Commission.I suppose public comment section the County Board
of Commissioners of Supervisors. I contracteda post viral condition in twenty nineteen.
(24:30):
I'm okay now, but I sawfirsthand that medicine does not always have answers
to the consequences of even minor viruses. The COVID nineteen pandemic has thrown that
into sharper relief. One in teninfections leads to long COVID, which is
devastating neurological and cardiovascular illness that cantake away people's ability to work, move,
(24:53):
see, and even think. Toconfront the long COVID crisis, I
demand mass availability, air filtration andfar UVC light and government facilities including jails
and detention centers and mask mandates incounty medical facilities. Blah blah, blah
blah blah, once again proving theobservation Scott's making based on data from the
(25:21):
Federal Reserve in Philadelphia, ironically, and their life survey that showed that we
got a bunch of young people thatare scared to be in the workforce because
of illness. Don't tell me thatCOVID did not do psychological damage to that
generation, because it darnwell did. Now, you and I see it all
(25:41):
the time. I make the commentrepeatedly. I know I offend some of
you. I'm okay with that.I've learned to live with the fact that
I do that. It's not mydesire to do that, but I speak
truth. Going back to the startof the show, as someone who loves
you and willing to lose the friendshipto be a friend, I'm willing to
speak the truth. If you weren'twearing a mask before COVID and you're wearing
(26:02):
one now, you have been psychologicallydamaged by the pandemic. You have been
damaged by the false notion, andit's false. There is not any science
supporting that masks keep you healthy. In fact, the science indicates they they
harm you. Well, then whyis surgeons wear it? Because surgeons are
opening up your body and they don'twant to sneeze and cough into your open
(26:26):
wound. Okay, come on,get a grip. I want to come
on people. But this just thissupports It's just it's incredible. We talked
yesterday about the data inside this somewhatbenign survey by the Federal Reserve that points
(26:51):
out that young people don't want tobe in the workforce, don't want to
apply for jobs in large part. The largest reason why fear of illness in
the workplace. What and now wehave a story of a privileged young lady.
And look, I have pretty highregard for Jennifer Garner. I think
she's pretty sharp cookie. And I'mnot talking about her she's a very pretty
(27:14):
young lady. I'm talking about she'sjust handled herself professionally really well, and
I admire her, and she seemslike a wonderful parent. But you've got
a privileged little girl that's walking arounddemanding mask mandates, and she just needs
to be quiet because she doesn't know, and you need to get her help
because she's been scarred by something calledthe pandemic. All right, this is
(27:38):
just a wonderful illustration that that littlesurvey, as sterile as it seems,
as you know, they're numbers, they're just numbers. Well, now we
put a face to it, andhere's a person coming out and talking.
That's just eliminating all doubt, atleast in her life, that this general
(28:00):
has been psychologically damaged. But they'renot alone. Go to the grocery store,
go to Walmart. Just look aroundat the people wearing masks, omg
and for what for what? Why? You're hurting your own immune system.
(28:21):
That's how your immune system works. You breathe stuff in and some of it
say, and your immune system goes, I'm gonna take care of that for
you. Don't you worry about it. Pal, I got it. And
if you didn't know that, that'swhat your immune system sounded like. That's
what it sounds like. Hey,don't worry about this friend. I got
this disease, eh, and theykills it. That's how your immune system
(28:41):
works. I'm way late, fortynine minutes after the hour, but I
feel better. See the Morning Showwith Preston Scott on News Radio one hundred
point seven w FLA. All right, gotta be quick about this, Jake
(29:07):
Tapper, reacting to the meltdown byDemocrats and others in the media to Joe
Biden's performance at the debate and hismental acumen in general. Check this out.
In reality, seventy of voters saythat they believe President Biden is too
old. That's according to CNN's mostrecent pulling. Voters have been saying this
(29:32):
for quite a long time. Thereality is that the Democratic elites are mostly
late to acknowledge these age and abilityissues compared to the rest of the public.
The elites have been forced to reckonwith it after the debate just eleven
days ago. Book of my careerhave not had many of those nights.
It was a terrible night, andI really regret it happened. But the
(29:56):
fact of the matter is, howcan you assure your going to be on
you know, faith can interviewing onyour way to go to you know work
tomorrow? Age age? Wasn't youknow the idea I'm too old? The
fact of the matter is, howcan you assure you're going to be out
on you know, on your wayto go you know work tomorrow? Age
(30:18):
age. Wasn't you know the ideathat I'm too old? Keep in mind
that sounds like it's supposed to bereassuring to those Democratic supporters who have gone
wildly. Many Democratic officials with whomI've spoken are worried. The President of
Biden and his family and his innercircle appear to be in complete denial,
not just about whatever might be wrongwith him, but the state of his
(30:40):
candidacy right now. Wow, thatwas him on with Mika and Joe on
Morning Joe on MSNBC. Ah ah, well, ah, oh my gosh,
(31:00):
what an epic disaster. All right, we're coming to the second hour
of the Morning Show. Steve Stewartis on deck with Tallhasi Reports. We'll
try to help you feel a littlebetter next hour as well, and and
more. We've got more sound tocome here this morning here on the Morning
Show with Preston Scott. If Ipassed the hour Morning Show with Preston Scott,
(31:33):
our number two of the radio programGood to Have You with Us Show
fifty one ninety three. Thursday isa busy day around here, and it
means it's time to talk to SteveStewart, Executive editor of our only source
for really new, really well reportednews researched and that is Tallastreports dot com.
(31:56):
How I'm good. I'm buckled inthe seats so I don't come out
of it. Yeah, but youknow what, at this point, we're
kind of watching a demolition derby andall the people in the contest are in
the same family. Yeah, ifyou start, that's a good way of
putting it. They're trying there's ademolition derby going on, and they're trying
(32:16):
to take control of the city commissionwhile they fight with each other. Yeah,
and so we you know, wethe front page of the Tallesse Reports
prenedition, and we've written about thisis the fracture in the the local executive
or the local Leon County Democrat ExecutiveCommitte, which is led by a chair,
Ryan Raye, who was elected intwenty twenty two and has been the
(32:38):
aid to Jeremy Mattlow. That seemsreally weird. You've got a non partisan
allegedly and we know that they're notbut nonpartisan, but yet your aid runs
the local party. Look, thishas been an issue since it happened.
But what's happened is the Democrats arein charge now here locally, there's no
there's no boogeyman Republican trying to takeover with city commissions. Yeah, so
(33:00):
now they've had to focus on themselves, and the progressive wing has really caused
moderate and liberal Democrats to sort ofget on their heels, like, well,
how do I respond to this?Am I going to attack another Democrat?
Well? The problem is is thatmost of the moderate liberal Democrats don't
want to attack other Democrats, butthe progressives they don't care. No,
(33:22):
they don't, they don't and whatthey're doing. We're starting to see this
fracture, which has been reported inother news outlets, We're starting to see
it now rights to the top.And if you look at the quotes that
we have from four to five Democratsin the in our article, Rudy ferguson
his father complaint against who is runningagainst Jack Porter father complaint with the Florida
(33:43):
Democratic Party because of bias showed byRyan Ray, who has both a political,
personal and professional relationship with Jack Porter. If you go look through his
Twitter feed, he has been supportingthe re election of Commissioner Porter, despite
the fact there are two other Democratsin the race and the by laws of
the Democratic parties say, look, you're supposed to remain neutral, but even
(34:07):
the Democratic Twitter feed supports Porter welland Steve your article points out that it's
not just Rudy Ferguson, it's sittingcommissioners as well as other candidates that are
pointing out the bias. Lewis Diilbert, who's running against Porter, also said,
look, I went and talked tothe to Ryan Ray when I got
(34:29):
into the race as a proud Democrat, thinking that they would I'd be welcome
with open arms, and it's likehe said, he felt the bias right
away. You look at Bob Lotaine, who has funded Jeremy Mattlow's progressive causes,
it's basically turned on him and said, look, you guys are fighting
a much among each other. You'vebeen in power, you've been elected for
six years. You said you weregoing to get things done, and you've
done nothing to bridge this three totwo gap among Democrats. They can't even
(34:53):
work with Democrats. And so ifyou start to look at what's going on
with the dec the local Democratic ExisCommittee, you've got to ask yourself.
If they get controlled, the progressivesget control of the City Commission, is
that how they're going to operate. They don't want to work with anybody.
Well, it's they've they've destroyed themirage of the big tent because the Democrat
(35:14):
Party has always been Steve the bigTent Party. It's now if you don't
agree with this particular wing of it, you're out. Yes, and there's
no debate. There's no again, there's no bridge like trying to figure out
how do we move the community forward. It's they just want power. And
if you look at some of theseforums, and we'll talk more about this
in the next segment, but it'sclear what they want to do. They
want to fire people, they wantto fire Eastcode, they want a fire
(35:36):
chief rival and to do that they'vegot to have control the City Commission.
They have to have three votes. And that's what this election is all about.
Sure. And so when you startseeing this, this fracture within the
Democratic Executive Committee, you start askingyourself, wait a minute, they're all
Democrats. Why can't they get togetherand move the community forward. And it's
(35:59):
it's a reflection of what kind ofleadership you could get if you're not careful.
It's really nuanced in certain ways, and we use that word a lot,
but it just happens to be thecase, and voters better figure that
out quick exactly. Steve Stewart withus, we have much to talk about.
Stick around ten past the hour inthe Morning Show with Preston Scott.
(36:22):
Back here on the Morning Show withPreston Scott twenty one past the Hour.
Steve Stewart, Executive Editor. Subscribe, get the paper, Tellassi reports dot
com. It's fact based, it'sdata driven, and actual reporting being done
that it's just not being done elsewhere. Steve, One of the stories you
have been following for a good bitof time is the travel of sitting commissioners.
(36:43):
Well, you know, we allknow that these these elective ficiers like
to do travel League of Cities.Remember when Mayor John Marx was traveling all
the time for you know, Iguess was it the Association Mayor's National Association
Mayors and stuff these But what wefound out when we started looking at travel
was we see that. But we'restarting to see the progressive wing of Leon
County sort of it's what we thoughtthey were doing. They want to take
(37:06):
this national narrative and they want toslam it down into Tallahassee. Even though
we don't really want it, andwe've argued that they're doing that, and
this is how they're doing it.You know, we talked about Commission Jack
Porter traveling to this group local progressthree or four conferences that they paid for
and she's going to get ideas ofprogressive policies. Okay, and we've talked
about that. But David O'Keefe withLeon County Commission spent his own money to
(37:30):
go to Atlanta for a left wingbasically campaign training for progressives, defund the
police people were in charge of it. I spent his own money, went
up there. Commission Mattlow, wefound out recently, spent the city's dollars
to go down to Miami for aclimate change conference. Okay, didn't talk
too much about it, but itis there. I think it looks like
(37:52):
he traveled with someone else, whichI'll assume was his aide, Ryan Ray.
So you've got these three progressives thatare really not going They're going to
conferences that are more driven, notthe nuts and bolts lega cities. Some
are paid for it by themselves, some are being paid for by tax project
right because they want to get thisprogressive training. And what I find interesting
about this is that given that Miami, Atlanta, Washington, d C.
(38:15):
Saint Louis, all three of them, they won't travel to Amelia Island for
the Tallahassee Chamber Community Conference to hearfrom business owners, local business owners,
small business owners the concerns that theyhave because they have branded the Chamber as
corrupt developers. And look, I'llbe the first to say that I don't
(38:37):
think that there's been that the Chambersallow themselves to get branded in this era.
They've been bullied, they've been bullied, and I understand it's a difficult
situation, but the Chamber does not. It has over fifteen hundred members.
And we're talking about T shirt companies, pest control, we're talking about you
know, local alarm companies, we'retalking to earth and employers of all a
(39:00):
lot of people listening to this show. But what's happened is Commissioner Matlow has
taken it and tried to brand theChamber as corrupt developers, which he's done
a very good job because of he'sgot up, he's got a bully pulpit,
and there hasn't been a very goodresponse. But what you look at
when you see this, when youdo this chamber conference thing and you say,
yeah, people roll their eyes.Oh, the chamber conferences a bunch
of you know, developers and citycommissioners. It's really not. It's non
(39:22):
I've been there. It's nonprofits. It's small businesses trying to conduct business,
trying to develop relationship network and it'sa it's a it's a place where commissioners
get out elected officials, Okay,go and they can hear from that type
of constituency and listen. You thinkit's just developers and you know high rollers
(39:44):
that attend, it's not. Andit's also not just I mean, look
the school board. You've got RoseanneWood, who's no pro business conservative.
Remember she she goes to the conference. Darryl Jones goes to the conference.
And so my point in saying thisis this is very indicative of where we're
headed as a community. Behind theleadership of these progressives. They don't really
(40:07):
and they really don't like Tylasie. They want it to be something different.
And all you gotta do don't listento what they say. Look at what
they do, look at how theyvote, and look at where they're traveling.
They're not going to hear from thesmall business owner, and that to
me is alarming that they will takethe time and sometimes their own money to
(40:29):
go get trained from these progressive leftwing groups, but they won't go to
a community conference where you have arange of different people who are interested in
this community. Clarify for our listenersthe backstory with Commissioner Porter and her request
from the city Attorney Cassandra Jackson toget some guidance and she didn't follow it.
(40:50):
Yeah, there's a been an ethicscomplain filed, but the local media
has just dropped this and buried it. They've buried it. She's violated ethics
rules. In my opinion, aneasy read. This she sought. She
sought an opinion from the city attorneyin twenty twenty one and got it.
She got it, and it saidlisten, it's a gift, okay,
unless you have the city pay forit and then get reimbursed. Well,
(41:14):
the problem with her having the citypay for it and getting reimbursed is it
creates a paper trail, okay. And if you report it as a gift,
it creates a paper trail, andyou know what your official, your
local official is doing. It's calledtransparency. She got that it, ignored
it. She went on three trips, didn't have the city pay for the
hotels and the planes to some ofthese trips, and she didn't declare it
(41:34):
as a gift. She's violated ethicsrules and they have just looked the other
way. They've never asked questions aboutit. And it's again, it's a
sad state of what we are interms of following up on these things.
Well, the Florida Commission on Ethicsnow has it and they'll do a thorough
investigation. We hope, no,they will. And I think that if
you look at this, I've seenthese things, this is an ethics violation.
(41:55):
It won't come out till after theelection, and you know, but
the point being, it's not onlya reflection of again what they're doing hiding
things. Okay, they don't wantyou to know. They don't want you
to know that they're taking this nation. They want this national progressive narrative here
in Tyle hasseid. Sure, andit's unfortunate, but we'll continue to report
on it. Thanks for the time, Thank you, President Steve Stewart,
(42:17):
Tallahassee reports, My guest, Remembersubscribe tealhassireports dot com twenty eight past the
Hour, Welcome to the Morning Showwith Preston Scott. Can you believe the
(42:42):
drama around the Democrat Party and JoeBiden? And oh my goodness. One
thing I've noticed is the the Henson the View have had very little to
say lately about eleven days now, funny how that's worked out. They've not
(43:06):
had a whole lot of comments outthere. It's just kind of been.
It's just an interesting time period wherewe find ourselves in. It's really surreal.
We've got next hour a phone segment, and we're going to effort to
(43:27):
get you to weigh in on whoyou think the top of the ticket's going
to be for the Democrat Party, and I would love to hear from Democrats.
Look, I don't I don't pickfights with people on this show.
It's just it's boring. It justis. I don't yell and scream at
people. I certainly have disagreements onopinions with folks. I do interviews all
(43:49):
the time with people that I don'tagree with, and it's fine, you
talk, It's okay, it's notyou know, over time, they'll realize
they're wrong and they'll come around, you know, Dad always said it takes
two horses to make a race, and so but one horse will win and
telling you know what I just saying. But next hour, I would love
(44:12):
to hear from Democrats, Republicans, independents. Who do you think is going
to be on the top of theDemocrat ticket. Robert F. Kennedy cannot
win, he will not win. He's not going to win. Okay,
it's just these are realities. Sowe'll get to that in just a little
bit. Talk more about it.Big stories in the press box. George
Allen Kelly's the rancher at Arizona shotan illegal that was on his property,
(44:36):
broke into the country, was onhis property, he did not heed the
warnings and he ended up dead andJerry acquitted him. And now the charges
have been dismissed and that is avery good development. Florida woman arrested for
making death threats against Florida Governor RonDeSantis. Hillsborough County Sheriff's office made the
arrest of a twenty year old woman. We will not name her, need
(45:00):
to name her on the show. She's in the news. That's enough.
Boeing agrees to a plea deal withthe Justice Department felony charge of conspiracy to
defraud the federal government over two fatalcrashes. Really yeah, Apparently the Department
(45:22):
of Justice found that Boeing violated atwenty twenty one settlement related to the two
crashes. So Boeing agrees to asettlement and then violates the conditions of the
settlement, and they're getting us afinancial slap on the wrist for Boeing.
They're going to pay half a billiondollar fine, which quite candidly is a
(45:45):
slap on the wrist for Boeing. And then they've got to invest four hundred
and fifty five million dollars in safetyand compliance. I just laugh at that.
Isn't that kind of what you're supposedto be doing if you're a company
that makes it rides. And then, irony of ironies, the US Marshals
(46:07):
that are assigned to guard Supreme Courtjustices had to shoot a would be carjacker
of Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sota Meyer, the same Sonya Soda Meyer that claim
the Second Amendment does not protect theprivate right of armed self defense. So
(46:29):
it's only okay if you have paidguards to have self defense, not average
people. Forty minutes past the hour, Doctor David Hart standing by next to
the Morning show with Preston Scott Boy. That escalated quickly. I mean that
really got out of hand fast.On WFLA, Let's get you feeling better.
(46:58):
That's the idea optimal health, naturallytalk about a perfect double entendre,
naturally and naturally joining us, DoctorDavid Hartzello, sir, good morning,
press them three things. I tippedthis earlier in the program. I primed
the pump. Three things to helpus live healthier, air go longer.
(47:23):
Yeah, you know, life expectsexpectancy in America actually is decreasing. Yeah,
crazy to believe it in recent years. And medicine, you know,
is focused on crisis medicine and manifestationof disease treatment. And we need to
take care of ourselves. We've gotto take some action on this stuff,
which is kind of what this segment'sall about. And someone asked me today,
(47:45):
so if I had to do threethings, you know, to kind
of go at this thing, whatwould what would I do? You know,
at least to make some move inthe right direction that would change something.
And so let me go with threethings really quick. Obviously we talked
about this a lot, but dietis just you can't get around it.
Unfortunately, they're trying to kill usout there, you know, with what's
going on in the food and sowave control keeping our weight down, there's
(48:08):
just no doubt about it. It'sthere's so much research shows that that affects
a longevity and our overall health. And the ways to do it is first,
just go after the carbs, youknow, decrease them as much as
possible. And one of the easiestway to do the way control is just
portion and control. Just cut downin half what you're eating and stop eating
when you get satiated, when you'rewhen you're not hungry anymore. Met many
(48:32):
of us just eat because it's onthe plate. Just don't put so much
on there. It's so simple, but it does work. It really really
does. Also changing and going afterthe oils, try to stay away from
seed oils. This there's so muchresearch on this. It sounds like something
simple, but it's causing to tomiss my inflammation and stay away from grains.
And now I might even do awhole segment just on grains because it's
(48:53):
really really important what we're doing toour grains. We're changing them and they're
causing problems in our body. Andthen the second one is just to avoid
toxicity. And everywhere around you justcreams and anything we put in our environment,
air fresheners, we breathe all thetime. Just be aware of what
(49:14):
chemicals are going into your body, and we're putting them in all the time,
especially in our foods. And whenwe look at labels and you can't
understand the name of what you're readingbecause it's all chemicals, then you need
to move away from that. It'sjust simple, but it's very very important.
And try to eat organic whenever possible. And filter your water. Get
a water filter, get a zerowater filter or something like that, and
(49:37):
filter your water the water that wedrink out of the tap. Even in
tallahassee Floridas, they're taking out veryminimal amounts of stuff. And then the
last thing is exercise. There isno way around it. I mean,
I even have to force myself todo this because it's just so hard to
do. But even fifteen minutes aday, twenty minutes a day of walking,
(49:59):
and the research is so strong onthis that it decreases the chances of
illness and longevity. If you cando it one hundred and fifty minutes a
week, that's even better. Themore you do it, even more you
stress your heart and get yourself intoa little bit of a you know,
aerobic type of environment, the betteryou are. But of course you don't
(50:21):
want to start doing something really strenuousabout having, you know, be checked
out by your doctor and be sureyou're cleared for that. But just anything
is so extremely important. So reallythe three things would the diet, changing
what we eat and make some delicateaction on that, avoiding toxicity in our
environment, and then doing some exercisethat increases our heart rate and get moving.
(50:46):
Those are good. Those are likeyour building blocks right there. They
are, and they're basics. Butthere's a lot of things we can go
and get into them much more specific. But you cover those alone and you
will definitely live longer and be healthier. Doctor Hearts, thank you very much.
I appreciate the time, and we'llcatch up again in a couple of
(51:07):
weeks. Okay, press, havegreat day, Thank you, sir.
Doctor David Hart's with us this morning, and I want to tag onto the
exercise thing a little bit for thoseof you that are getting a little bit
older. The one thing that Iknow is flexibility along with elevating your heart
rate a little bit. And again, as he said, see your doctor
(51:28):
if you're a little concerned about it. But flexibility as you get older.
It's like I noticed when I was, for example, just cleaning out the
skimmer basket on my pool. It'slike, you know, getting up and
down to get down on my kneesand then to get up. I don't
like this, And it was likethere was my cue, Okay, start
pushing the flexibility of my hips,my flexers and my knees and all of
(51:52):
that. And so'm I work reallyhard on that. And I also work
hard on balance, doing some sortof one like like store balance things.
And as you grow older, balanceis huge. Balance is huge. So
do things now in preparation for thoseyears on the other side of the hill.
(52:12):
All right, forty seven past thehour, summertime. If you're a
parent, you got youngins at home, you're desperate, What am I going
to do with my children? Well, I've told you I would help.
(52:36):
And so here we are on theroad again. Another road trip suggestion,
this one about a two to twoand a half hour drive away from the
capital city of Tallahassee a little fartherif you're in Panama City. Centrally located
in Florida and definitely not one ofthe typical tourist spots. The Santa Fe
College Teaching Zoo Santa Fe College iskind of the Hasse State College equivalent.
(53:02):
It is part of kind of it'sthe feeder into the University of Florida.
It's a little north of the Gainesvillecampus, but it is in Gainesville and
Santa Fe College. The Teaching Zoois awesome fun, it really is.
It's a simple drive. It's notvery expensive. Ten bucks for adults,
six bucks for children, and it'sa lot of fun. It's open from
(53:27):
nine to three and it's a simpledrive. So there's your suggestion, all
right for a road trip. Ideais to pack up the kiddos and take
them to the Gainesville area and theSanta Fe College Teaching Zoo. My wife
and I had a great time visitingthere back a few years ago, and
(53:51):
we'll go back again sometime soon,I'm sure. But there you go,
and next week I'll throw you anotherbone in the same area that you can
double up. But that's next week, all right. Here's what we've got
coming up. I've cleared the deck. I said to Joe Biden and Donald
(54:12):
Trump. No, no, no, no, Thursday, I'm taking calls.
Fellas, we can talk another time. Thursday. I'm taking calls in
the third hour. I stiff armedhim both. Maybe maybe maybe not,
Maybe maybe I'm just dreaming. Ihave had presidential candidates on this program over
(54:36):
the years, but I had DonaldTrump Junior on the show. No no
surrogates. I generally avoid surrogates, the President's son. I made an exception
for him, but I generally Idon't want surrogates. I want I want
the people. I want the candidates. I don't want someone talking on behalf
of the candidates. So I'm alittle picky on that. But I do
(55:00):
want to hear from you. We'reopening up the phone lines, and so
if you want to be one ofthe first to hear the voice of the
producer to be named later, iffor no other reason, that you could
call in right now. But we'retaking calls on one topic. I want
(55:23):
to hear from Democrats, Republicans, independents, and and you can share what
you are. You don't have to, I don't care, you know.
I want to know who's going tobe on the top of the Democrat ticket
in your opinion, Who's it gonnabe. Is it gonna be Joe?
Is he gonna hold out? Joe? Yeah? I'm the I'm the president.
(55:45):
It is? Yeah? Can Ihave some ice cream? Did I
say that right? I mean youcan say Joe, you can say Kamala
that they're gonna they're gonna find thelever to get Joe to step down?
Or is it somebody else? Doyou think something crazy is gonna happen?
I mean, like crazy crazy?I don't know. We're gonna take calls
(56:07):
though. Eight five zero two zerofive WFLA eight five zero two zero five
ninety three fifty two. That's thephone number. I want to know what
you think is gonna happen, becausehonestly, all my predictions that I didn't
think Joe was going to be theperson, they're now all coming into focus.
(56:28):
Now it's not just some crazy talkJo, is it. Huh?
You all thought I was crazy fora while. Some of you didn't,
because some of you wrote me andsaid, now I agree with you,
this is what's going to happen. But now we're seeing it all unfold.
So you can call. I wantto hear from you. And here's what
I want to know. Who's goingto be on the top of the top
of the ticket? And why?Why will they be the person? I'm
(56:52):
not interested in the why not.I'm interested in the why Why will the
person you think be the Democrat? You're at nominee for President of the United
States? When all the smoke clearsand it's all said and done. Eight
five zero two zero five WFLA,five past the hour, eight in the
(57:20):
Eastern time zone, seven in theCentral. Good morning, friends, Welcome
to the third and final hour ofThe Morning Show with Preston Scott, at
least for today. It is Thursday, July the eleventh show, fifty one
to ninety three. We're asking aquestion eight five zero two zero five WFLA.
We have two lines open at eightfive zero two zero five ninety three
fifty two. Who's going to beon the top of the Democrat ticket?
(57:42):
What are your thoughts? The electionis coming closer and closer by the day.
Joe Biden holding his first solo pressconference of the year today. I'm
rather shocked by that, but I'mcurious is it gonna be Joe is it
(58:04):
gonna be Kamala? Is it goingto be something else? Your thoughts?
Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, independent, undecided, decided what? It
really doesn't matter who you're going tovote for. What do you think is
gonna happen? Eight five zero twozero five to b FLA. John is
wandering somewhere between Florida and Georgia.Hello, sir, how are you?
I'm good, sir. How areyou doing? I'm terrific? So what
(58:25):
do you think about all of this? Who's going to be on top of
the ticket when the smoke clears?Only person they can really put in place
has got to be Kamala. Andthat's because if they don't do that,
they will lose the black vote. And she's the only one that has access
to the war chest the money.Yeah, that's true. That's true.
(58:49):
Now tell me. All of thepolling indicates that Donald Trump is gaining huge
numbers with minority voters. Do youreally think Kamala can turn that around?
I don't think she can turn itaround, but I think that they will.
It'll be a landslide if they putIf they don't put her in place,
So do you I mean it wouldcatapult it. Do you think though,
(59:14):
that she will in fact be thenominee. No, I think Joe
Biden sticks it out. Okay, fair enough, He's gonna dig his feed
in and and if it's just goingto cause more turmoil if he decides to
when, I think actually his lifeis pulled in the strings. So I
(59:35):
think she's more power hungry than anyof them, and if they put force
him out, it's going to causeso much turmoil in the Democratic Party they
would not be electable. Thank you, John, I appreciate you sharing your
thoughts this morning. Eight five zerotwo. Zerified to be a f l
A. Let's go to Ray.Who's standing by Ray? You've identified yourself
as a Democrat, So what doyou think is going to happen? A
(01:00:00):
misidentification? Okay, you're not aDemocrat, no, sir, Okay,
sorry, you were, you were, you were miss you were misunder understood.
So go ahead tell me what youthink is going to happen. I'm
going to go out on a limbhere, but I think to combat the
(01:00:21):
Kamala Harris thing. First off,top of the ticket, they'll either get
Newsome or they will woo back Kennedyand I think to combat Kamala Harris.
I think they'll go with Michelle Obamaas a vice president. Do you think
Michelle is going to actually come outand do this? I think that family
(01:00:45):
would huh. Okay, So thetop of the ticket, to be clear,
you think it's going to be who? Either newser Kennedy? Who do
you think it's going to be?Newsom? Okay? Fair enough? Thank
you, Ray, appreciate the phonecall eight five zero two zero five WFLA
(01:01:05):
is that e L E L?Are you with me? Yes? I
am Dresden is the EO. Howare you doing today? I'm terrific.
So what do you think is goingto happen when the smoke clears? Well,
I think they're going to take aplay out of the nineteen forties Democratic
ticket when Franklin delean Or just keptswapping out his vice president. And I
think they'll find somebody that is palatablefor the vice president, kick Harris off
(01:01:30):
who I don't know. But thenafter he if if Trump doesn't win the
election, then they can do alittle twenty tith amendment switch arou in January
February next year. Okay, SoI want to be clear, who do
you think is going to be ontop of the Democrat ticket come November.
It'll be Biden, okay, followedby a new vice presidential candidate that will
(01:01:53):
quote reinvigorate the Democrats. All right, fair enough, el thanks very much.
I appreciate that. We'll get tomore of your calls here in just
a second. Ken, you're next. It's ten past the hour, taking
calls Who's going to be on topof the ticket here in the Morning Show
with Preston Scott. Welcome to MadRadio Network, Make a Difference Radio Network,
(01:02:19):
and this is the Morning Show withPreston Scott, living past the hour.
Calls coming in. Be patient ifthe phone line's ringing. We are
having some challenges with our phone systemand hearing you. So speak loudly when
you are talking with our call screenerand bear with us because we're training and
(01:02:45):
we're teaching, and so hang inthere. All right. We're simply asking
who is going to be on topof the Democrat ticket and taking calls at
eight five zero two zero five WFLA. Let's go to can in Panama City
Beach. Good morning, sir,Good morning mister Scott. Uh yeah,
(01:03:05):
it sounds like your producers in atunnel. Yeah, we're we we gots.
We got some challenges we're working through, So go right ahead. Though.
All right, well he was theonly thing I've got is when the
world stops because some guy said something, maybe he should be the guy.
And I mean George Clinty. Imean he said something and all of a
(01:03:29):
sudden, everybody said, no,let's jump off the ship. There's a
hole in the back of the boat. Everybody jump off the ship. Who
do you think is going to beon top of the ticket when the balloting
is is done? When when thevoting happens. I hate to say it,
but it's gonna be him again.Do you hate your Biden? But
but do you really hate it?I mean, are you a Democrat?
(01:03:52):
No, well, excuse my languagenow, I'm a I'm a Republican all
day long, ilan and I likemy mortgage ready at certain Yeah, I
meant nothing for this guy. Butwouldn't you then want him on top of
the ticket. Oh well yeah, because he'll get beat down, but but
(01:04:12):
he'll be there. I have agood feeling that's what's going to happen.
Thanks very much, I appreciate it. Can thanks for listening to the program.
Let's go to Sal. Good morning, Sal. Crap, it's Matt.
You're Matt. Yeah, this ismad. Yeah. I think he
misunderstood we were having a bad connection. Okay, go ahead, Matt,
you're up. What I'm thinking iswhen Schumer come out and said he's with
(01:04:38):
Joe and everybody's riding but Biden, and you had Jerry Nadler coming out with
his hat in his hand, going, yeah, he got beat down.
He wanted a change too, butthey're not going to do it. It's
definitely going to be Biden and Kamalaand we're hoping to go down. So
you see no change in the battingorder when they when they get to November.
(01:05:01):
No, unless something, you know, less, something bad health wise
happens to Biden. No, they'regoing to be behind him. I mean,
look, they put Fetterman in inPennsylvania when he couldn't even talk,
you know, right out of astroke. It doesn't matter. The Democrats
will vote for a stick figure.Fair enough. Thank you, Matt,
appreciate it. Sorry about the name. Let's go to Elizabeth. Elizabeth,
(01:05:25):
you identify as an independent, Sowhat do you think is going to happen
when this is all finished? Ido. I think that it is going
to still be the Biden Hereris ticket, and I think that they are more
concerned with down ballot. Explain, they're not too concerned about who's at the
top of the ticket. It's everybodydown below and whatever sparks their curiosity about
(01:05:48):
what's going on. It's a lotof drama going on, and that's going
to drive people to the ballots tosee what exactly is going on. From
the misinformed voters I think they callit or disinformed in for voters and all
that low information voters. Yep,they're going to be more concerned with down
ballots. You know what's interesting isthat the down ballot people in Congress,
(01:06:09):
i e. The representatives, thesenators, they're the ones that are panicking
right now. They think that theirpolling shows them that if Biden remains on
the ticket, people just won't voteat all and they're out. I think
it's going to drive the curiosity peaksand there's going to be more people showing
up because it's just like a televisionshow. Thank you so much, Elizabeth,
(01:06:30):
appreciate the phone call. One finalcaller here in this segment, Ethan,
thanks for calling in. Hi,I think the winners meeting Kanye West
to really get to the black munitythere. Run that by me one more
time. I think the winner they'regoing to be Kanye West, dude,
(01:06:54):
to really get the black community inthere in the election. Okay, I
appreciate that, Ethan. I don'tthink Kanye West is gonna appear on any
ballots, but because he's not qualifiedas a candidate in any state. But
hey, if you'd have told mewe'd have Trump and Biden going head to
(01:07:17):
head, I'd have said, youlost your mind. But that's where we
are again. Sixteen minutes after thehour, eight five zero two zero five
to b FLA one more segment ifyou want to weigh in on who's gonna
be on the Democrat ticket? Twentytwo past the hour, taking some phone
calls, just getting the pulse ofyou, the listener. What do you
(01:07:43):
think is going to be on topof the ticket. We're gonna take two
more callers because I've got some emailI want to share. Charlie, you
are up friend, Good morning andwelcome, good morning. You're gonna have
to take this. I don't haveto tease in my map because I kind
of threw up in my throat andI had to take the map. But
here's deal, it's gonna be Biden'sHarris. The second option is Harris and
(01:08:06):
Michelle. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm sorry, my man, my
guy, you what you had totake it? You do that? Guys,
you threw up. Yeah, Ithrew up in my in my own
(01:08:27):
mouth, and of course they cameout, and it's a long story.
I couldn't get get them clean andput it back in. So yeah,
I'm taking away that it is okay, sorry, but it's Harris. It's
Harris or Biden. Harris. It'sgotta be because they got they got to
qualm all of this division going onright now. If they can't keep him
(01:08:48):
in there, they're gonna go withHarris because they need the war chesty Harris
will she will name one or twowomen, either Michelle Obama, which who
is probably most likely, or she'sgoing to bring Hillary back in because he'll
retard. It's on her step upin the ring. Anyway. The hopes
(01:09:09):
is get they win, Harris wasset down the show takes over. That
gives Obama a fourth term. Fairenough, Charlie, thanks very much,
and I wish you well. Witha little POLYDP. I thank you very
much for calling into the program. My brother, Let's go to Steven PC.
Hello, my friend, good morning. Can you hear me? Okay,
(01:09:31):
I can hear you awesomely. Well, thank you so much for calling
in. So what's your analysis ofall this? Well, I think it's
going to be Biden Harris because alot of the callers who called before said
that they'd have the war chest andfinal it has to go to them.
Yep. I think with the Democratssee the riding on the wall, they
know they're going to get schlacked inNovember, so they're going to concentrate on
(01:09:54):
the Senate and congressional races. Willwin Trump does fine move in. They
can basically stopped his agenda, andI think that's what's gonna happen. You
think the agenda would be, you'dthink that the Democrats will take back total
control of Congress. I think theywill take back maybe one maybe the represent
US because the Congress itself is lookinga little meek. But I think the
(01:10:17):
Republicans will take back the Senate. But I think the Democrats are going to
contentry and taking control of one ofthe houses. That way, they could
slow Trump down. Thanks very muchto appreciate the phone call. Yeah,
it's going to be interesting. Ipersonally think this is going to be let
me back up. Unbelievably, TheWashington Post in IPSOS polling says it's a
(01:10:43):
dead heat. Do you believe that? I don't believe that. I don't.
I don't believe that that Biden Trumpis a dead heat. Now dead
Okay, maybe half of that issort of right. If the plus or
minus on that is, say four, that's a it could be eight point
(01:11:06):
separation. They're not giving me theplus minus. I don't buy that.
I just don't. I will obviouslyas we get closer to November, the
polling's gonna be a little bit different. And that's when you start paying even
more attention because they don't want tobe wrong. No polling agency wants their
(01:11:30):
credibility blown up. Although we've seenit happen on both sides of the aisle.
To be fair, I mean bothsides of the isle woefully wrong.
But I don't believe under any setof circumstances. Look, Republicans aren't crying
literally behind closed doors, and thatis what has happened, and they're not
(01:11:51):
crying out of sympathy for Joe Biden. They're crying over the fact that down
ballot they're screwed right now, that'swhat's going on in these meetings in the
caucus, and so it and allof that is is coming out. In
other words, that's that's coming outfrom their people that in fact, I've
(01:12:13):
got a story here, and Ithink it's bad form because Republicans know how
to If there's a party that knowshow to snatch defeat out of the jaws
of victory, it's the Republicans. They are great at it. The National
Republican Congressional Committee sent a card andflowers and tissues to their counterparts at the
Democrat Congressional Caucus and and and thecard said to let you know that thoughts
(01:12:45):
and prayers are with you in yourtime of sorrow. Now, on one
hand, that's funny that that's that'sfunny. On the on the bigger,
big picture, oh no, don'tdo that. I'm not superstitious, but
still I wouldn't do that. Youdon't say no hit, or you don't
talk about the yips. Leave thepicture alone. The guy's rolling three hundred.
(01:13:11):
Say nothing to him, you know, I mean just anyway, it
is funny. Okay, it's funnythoughts and prayers because Democrats hate that term.
They just they hate it. Butat any rate, I do have
some email. I'll try to circlearound to that if I can. Next
twenty seven to twenty eight, Thanksfor the phone calls back. Final half
(01:13:33):
hour of the Morning Show with PrestonScott, ways looking for the truth.
It's the Morning Show with Preston Scotton News Radio one hundred point seven WFLA
final half hour of the program.I get to say, wah wah,
(01:13:58):
wah wah. Yeah. If there'sa better name for a convenience store,
I don't know it. Wah wah. We'll talk about that in this a
little bit. Got some sound foryou to listen to in just a few
moments. Big stories in the pressbox. Boeing agreed to a plea deal
with the Justice Department. Yeah thatBoeing. Families of victims of two crashes
(01:14:27):
from twenty eighteen twenty nineteen are askinga judge to throw out the plea agreement.
They're saying no, no, no, can't do that. So we'll
see where that goes. Florida,Now, Florida, the US Supreme Court
Justice Sonya Sodomyer facing a little backlash. She voted against the Second Amendment right
to self defense armed self defense. She was one of the signers of an
(01:14:50):
opinion that said the Second Amendment Amendmentdoes not protect the private right of armed
self defense. But she had noproblem having herself protected by people carrying firearms.
And that's the thing with elitists. The liberals want them. They want
themselves to have the rights because theycan employ people, you know, members
(01:15:11):
of Congress, whatever. We havesecurity detail, you know, Nancy Pelosi,
she's got security detail, Chuck Schumersecurity detail. Supreme Court Justice as
presidents, they have security detail. The rest of us, you're supposed to
just say stop and don't hurt me. Her bodyguards had to shoot a would
be carjacker, US marshals armed.Yeah, just seems ironic, doesn't it.
(01:15:39):
Arizona rancher George Allen Kelly Chargers dismissedin the migrant shooting case. He
was acquitted by a jury seven toone back in April, but there was
a threat of charges being filed again. They've been dismissed. And a Florida
woman arrested for making death threats againstFlorida Governor Ron DeSantis. Just take one
look at the snapshot the booking photocrazy and that pretty much sums it up.
(01:16:04):
Got a couple of emails our topicin the last half hour he took
calls on who will be at thetop of the ticket. Jeff wrote in,
I believe they'll continue to pressure Bidento step down, allow Harris to
run. If he doesn't, Isuspect he will suffer a catastrophic health issue,
you mean more than the one healready. Harris will select the VP,
(01:16:26):
and the VP will be the actualcandidate. There will be elections skullduggery
bonus points for the use of theword skullduggery like they had in twenty twenty,
because like Biden, there's no wayHarris can actually win. Some scandal
or issue will scuttle Harris, andthe to be named later vice president becomes
the unelected president and they go fromthere. But my favorite is Jim wrote
(01:16:51):
in and said has to be Biden. The Dems don't have enough time to
reprint millions of fraudulent ballots with anew name. Ooh, that was pretty
funny. So thanks for your emails. Preston at iHeartRadio dot com. Hey
tomorrow on the program, will wewill take your calls. It's the first
time we've done in a while.Because of the holiday last week, What's
(01:17:14):
the Bee Friday? Grant Allen willbe back in studio. Why because What's
the Bee Friday is utter carnage andto throw the producer to be named later
to that without a little assistance isjust cruel and unusual. And I believe
there's a constitutional amendment prohibiting. Ithink john'son not could be here tomorrow.
(01:17:39):
No, no, no, We'vesaved this special day for Grant to come
in. There's a reason I'm nothere on Friday. I'm just saying,
yeah, I'm sure. Well, you're the boss. You don't have to
be. You don't have to be. I mean, I didn't have to
be here yesterday and today I couldhave exactly And you know what, and
thank you for that, because that'sa point that needs to be made for
(01:18:00):
all of us. We don't haveto do anything we're doing. You don't
have to go to work today. All of you listening, you don't have
to that. You might be fired, fair, fair, but you don't
have to Here's the importance of thatmindset. Everything you're doing, you're choosing
to. You're weighing and measuring costand benefit, and you're deciding it benefits
(01:18:26):
me to go to work today, and then your attitude changes. You don't
have to go to work, youchoose to. I'm just saying that's why
we're here. We're here to helpbelieve that. Right forty one minutes past
the hour, we come back. Some sound that is going to be a
lot of fun to listen to.It's The Morning Show with Preston Scott.
(01:18:56):
John pointing to me like, hey, you know you're back on your show.
I'm like, what we're talking aboutis more part I voted for the
rabbit to have the cereal. Okay, that is such an old reference.
Yes, it is House Judiciary Committee. On the committee is Eric Swalwell of
(01:19:23):
California, the one who dated theChinese spy. Have you know that Eric
Swalwell is a special kind of guy. My sons would say, he's just
got that special kind of punch facethat some people have. Did you just
yeh? Unfortunately for mister Swalwell, across from him is Ben Shapiro, And
(01:19:50):
this is how it all went down. Mister Shapiro, Thank you for joining
us today. I think it isimportant that you're here as one of the
leading conservative voices in the country, and the country has in the last couple
of weeks talked a lot about andgoogled Project twenty twenty five. It's one
(01:20:10):
of the most googled search terms rightnow, and you're not going to get
any censorship for me. So Ijust wanted to know from your perspective.
I think it would help us understand, on just like a scale of zero
to one hundred percent, how muchdo you support Project twenty twenty five.
I think, like President Trump,I haven't looked all that deeply at Project
(01:20:31):
twenty twenty five, but it seemsthat Democrats on this committee sort of like
Peter Pan and Tinkerbell, if theysay Project twenty twenty five enough, their
presidential candidate becomes alive again. Andso well, let's just talk about pieces
of it. And I guess youcan tell me if you support it.
You probably want less bureaucracy, right, I do. I want less bureaucracy.
(01:20:53):
You want more efficiency? I doI want more efficiency? You want
taxpayer money spent wisely. Congrats,I'm becoming a Republican. My parents would
be prop My parents would be proud. That's brilliant. Couple things. Number
one, the reason why Project twentytwenty five is a big deal and Swallowell
(01:21:17):
references, Google searches and all that. Well, Biden told all of his
followers to search it and because thisis what we do. Monday on the
program, Hans von Sbokowsky of theHeritage Foundation, one of the many minds
behind Project twenty twenty five, willbe on the show to talk about Project
(01:21:43):
twenty twenty five. What is it? Why is it that Democrats are obsessed
with trying to make it something soevil and sinister? We'll share what Project
twenty twenty five is from somebody inthe middle of it. How's that huh?
Rather than taking anybody's word for theiranalysis or interpretation of it, We'll
(01:22:04):
talk to someone that's right there. And that's coming up Monday. But I
just wanted to point out that it. First, congratulations to Representative Swallwell because
he acted civil. He does notdo that very often, he truly doesn't.
He's usually a rude, obnoxious humanbeing. He was very civil.
(01:22:30):
My hunch is because in front ofhim was somebody that without a note nearby
can just blow him out of thewater. Because whatever you think of Ben
Shapiro, he knows the issues. He knows him and so I think it
brought about some restraint to Congressman Smallwell, because I thought he was very appropriate
(01:22:51):
in that part of the exchange, which is refreshing forty six minutes after the
hour, come back and I getto say, wah wah, all right,
(01:23:17):
we've kind of settled the pecking order. It's BUCkies, busy Bee,
wah wah, then circle K whenit comes to the convenience stores. That's
kind of the breakdown. The BUCkiesis next level. Anybody that's ever been
to a Bucki's it's next level. And oh, by the way, the
(01:23:42):
barbecue beef brisket is insane. Thebest barbecue brisket I have ever eaten anywhere.
You name the best restaurant you've everhad barbecue, give me BUCkies.
It's next level. But I'm tryingto get my brain around this. A
(01:24:05):
guy in New Jersey named Tyler geyerRisen is collecting something called wah wah order
strips. What is a wah wahorder strip? They he's been He's spent
three years collecting his order slips toget a full set numbered zero through nine
(01:24:30):
hundred and ninety nine. Now,I guess you can go into a wah
wah. I've only been in andout of a couple of them, and
not like in and out, Iguess you can order food. And so
he just started collecting the numbers thatand I guess they recycle after nine hundred
(01:24:59):
and ninety nine, So he didn'tcollect a thousand consecutively. He's he's probably
had to get a lot more toget Yeah. Yeah, he's asking friends,
hey, do you have number twohundred and twelve, you know,
or if you see one, thatkind of thing. So he's he's he's
got it done. He collected thewhole thing. Here's the deal. Why
(01:25:23):
this stood out to me is Iwas having a renaissance Forrest Gump moment,
because if you remember in the movie, he just decides one day, I
just thought I'd run, and hejust started running, right, and he
just ran run farst. Yes,he just but I mean he put on
(01:25:44):
the nikes and he started running. And I and I looked at this story
and I just thought to myself, who decides to start collecting wah wah order
slips, and then I and thenI mildly to myself, and I said,
Hey, why not why not ForrestGump? Why not go run brother
(01:26:09):
Tyler? Collect those strip those thoseslips get to nine hundred and ninety nine
q Q brought to you by BaronoHeating and Air. It's the Morning Show
(01:26:30):
on WFLA. We're still at thatstage where I'm so interesting or not pathetically
weird that the producer to be namedlater gets distracted by my clever reparte and
he forgets he's got a show torun. It's okay, It's part of
