Speaker 1 (00:01):
The volume. I'm here with the Human Highlight justin Gaiche
we out in London. I long y'all have been here
since Thursday last week. Yeah. Training been going good. Yeah, yeah,
it's good. We got a nice little um private gymy.

(00:23):
It looks small. It's small. Reminds me of where we started,
where we all started. The guy was all excited though,
like about having y'all on on embedded. Yeah, I mean,
wouldn't you be You have a nice small business. Um.
He was saying he was going to close the shop
down like two weeks before we came and decided just
to keep it up for a little bit longer. And
now he's got too many people in his classes. Really Yeah,

(00:45):
So since y'all have gotten here, it's picked up for him.
Oh yeah yeah, he said he's having to he's getting
calls all day, having to turn people away. Wow, that's awesome. Yeah,
it's been a little bit man, un since you competed. Ye,
what you've been doing at the time coming was fixed.
You can get a haircut without breathing hair and should
not whistling no more like it's not whistling as bad normally.

(01:06):
You'll be sitting there talking to me all our ears
your nose the whole time you're talking normally, but I
hear whistling from I could take pictures without my mouth open.
That's why you always look like that. Of course you
couldn't breathe. Yes, no, I could not, not to my nose.
So you gotta fix Yep, you should wait until the

(01:28):
career was done. No, because you're gonna fight in a
way that runs the risk of the nose getting broken again.
Did I get a fixed again? I should have got
it done earlier. Yeah, you think so. It was just
it makes it easier to train, probably right, everything, Yeah, everything, life,
quality of life. I got my eyes fixed, that was
huge improvement. Getting my nose fixed was just as big

(01:48):
as an improvement. You're about to get on TV or something.
You about to start doing TV. I'm on TV, know
what I'm saying? Like doing TV because you get your
nose going in that celebrity golfleet. I'm in there. I'm
in there. So here's a question about celebrit golf. I
gotta ask you this before we get on the fight.
Am I just like am I playing? Am I? Just?
Why can't I play? Am I that bad that I

(02:09):
can't even play you can you're a coach, Yeah, but
can I play a player? Coach? We need your guidance.
If y'all don't trust me to play on the course,
how am I gonna guide you all the victory? So
like when you're playing in a competition like this, you
can't have mulligans. You can't say I'll pay you three
dollars if I could take another shot. Wait, everything I've

(02:31):
seen played with you multiple times. Mulligan turned out a thing.
That one that one, of course we played and walked,
walked whole time one show Day that was a good one. Yeah,
that was good. But show Day Saturday for you. Nobody
performs to the level of Justin Gaiche. It's been a while.

(02:54):
You have a different opportent, th rockfaelpa Zeve. What can
you expect in the octagon this weekend? Yeah, I think
it's gonna be aggressive. Um, you know he's he's got
crazy skill, um, crazy confidence. Again, all these are young, hungry,
dangerous combination of an opponent. So I think, you know,
I got to be perfect obviously, especially at this level.

(03:16):
Who's going to make the most mistakes, Who's going to
capitalize on the mistakes that your opponent opponents make and
um yeah, I mean I got a good coach who've
been working on a good game plan. But perfect you
think you gotta be perfect in there one thing you
You've always been so good, but your will and your
ability have really overwhelmed most. But what you think it's different,

(03:36):
perfect for this guy or something that you want to
do more going forward in your career. I mean there's
you know, obviously I've had ten fights in the UFCUM.
I've fought many of those fights in different ways. I
think the way that I fought at some of our bows,
or the way I fought Tony ferguson um with more patients,
more calculation than the aggression, is when I'm the best. Um.

(03:56):
You know, I believe that my reactions to be are faster, better,
and I think, um yeah, my ability to to control
distance is going to be a huge factor on Saturday night.
You know you're fighting this guy is a young guy.
Like you said, he wants to go where you've been.
The Last time we saw you, not on you were

(04:17):
like seconds away from becoming a light weight champion of World.
Do you go back and watch that? Do you go
back and watch that and like what can you learn
from having Charles olivera hurt on multiple multiple occasions? And
at what point in the octagon did you realize, like, man,
this ain't gonna be like, it's not gonna be my night, right, Like,

(04:38):
I mean, you never there's definitely not enough time to
realize that in the moment, you know, when the heat
of the battle. But I think, um, you know I
haven't watched the fight because I know you haven't watched
that one time yet. No, I can't watch that. I
don't recognize myself in that cage that night. I was
not myself. I was way too emotional. Am I allowed
outside forces to control my thoughts to the emotions in

(05:00):
which I always say cannot happen, And it happened, you know,
being human, being at home, being a home, you know,
having rods fight before me, Um, different factors. But I think, yeah,
I wasn't I wasn't my best. I think I was
way too, way too aggressive. Um, you know, being so
over jealous for those late kicks really put me in
compromise position. Got rocked first ten seconds in and when

(05:24):
that happens, you know you're fighting for your life. And
I was fighting for my life pretty much the whole time.
You have another teammate fighting this weekend, Kamarrow us fund.
Do you enjoy it? Because the reality is like a
there is some stress to fighting on the same fight
night as your teammates. As you just said, the roles
fight before you man a little more difficult, but this

(05:45):
guy fights after you. But you guys have done everything together. Like,
do you enjoy competing with your teammate? Yeah? I do,
especially someone with like Kmarrow, you know, with such a
similar path as as I've been on, you know, wrestling
our whole lives being in dual competitions, you know, understanding
that your job as a teammate is to win and
inspire your teammates to perform. Um. That's the rule that

(06:06):
I've lived in and taken my whole life. Um. And
so that was m That's something that I'm gonna, you know,
allowed to be a factor on Saturday night, Justin. I
gotta ask you this. When you are at a point, right,
Justin Gagee, Dustin Pouri and you guys have all fought
for the belt. You guys have all held the belts. Um,

(06:26):
then you get a Rafayel physiz. Right, you come to
a point in your career where the path to the
title may not be as clear. Then you start to
get these young dudes, like what what was the thought
when you got that name opposed to I mean it's
always been Ferguson Chandler Poury, a champion, champion. What was
the thought when you saw that? Like when you that

(06:48):
young guy coming off a loss being number three, you know,
it's it's it doesn't matter who I fight, it's how
I win. You know, how I win is how I win.
They're always exciting, most likely when I win in to
finish and whether it's the number six guy, number two guy. Um,
it gets to me that much closer to that title show.
I think Oliver is gonna fight Daryus, the winners gonna
fight Mokcheff, and I'm gonna fight after this. After I

(07:10):
beat this guy, I'm gonna either fight poor A or
I'm gonna be the guy fighting for the title because
there's nothing else. Yeah. Well, you know, because I had
heard that you don't want to fight this guy who physique?
Where'd you hear that from? Oh, just I'm telling you
a little bird. No, No, I've heard it from people.
I can't give my source. Yeah, I can't give my
I've heard that we were we were offered the fight, right,

(07:33):
But for me, I'm like thinking to myself, if Justin
says no to this fight, I don't blame him because
where's the draw outside of just beating another guy? Right?
This is not a massive name. This is not the
title fight that you've been involved in. Yeah, I mean,
the wins a win at this game, especially at this level. Um,
number three, where do I go after this? You know,
I've beat the number six guy. Within what they're gonna

(07:53):
want me to fight number eight, number nine? That's that's
not gonna happen. That's what I'm saying, right. I thought,
like that's what I'm saying. When you lost, I lost,
I have no problem doing it. I mean, I think
it's the natural, the natural way. You know this guy
number two guy championship. Yeah, you think it's that close
to on, just like he's still right on the verge.
Why wouldn't it be who else? So you think that

(08:15):
the change Islam becoming a champ really reset the division? Yeah?
I think so. Um, you know again, I can fight.
If you know, if Olive ever wins, he's gonna fight
Monkacheff or he's gonna fight Pourier. He fought poor Ye. Yeah,
I think you guys have all kind of fought each
other and that's why I'm fighting this. But it was
all you guys fighting each other, and you guys have

(08:37):
like a core group of guys that were competing. I
guess because we're the top fighter, we're the most elite
fighters in the world. If this way class, that's that's
how it is. Until these guys show that they are
more elite than us than there's no other way to do.
But before they happened, Before they can do that, they
have to have an opportunity. Not everybody gives him an
opportunity here, I am, Yeah, come take it. You think
you can compete at that level, I am at that

(08:58):
level he can compete at. I think fighting. I think
fighting is the fucking craziest thing there is and anything
can happen at any moment enough. Yeah, I think so. Absolutely.
He's got some unique skills. Yeah, he's got crazy reactions. Um,
he's been fighting in Santa fights for a long time.
You know. It's all about creating angles, controlled distance, um,

(09:20):
and causing damage. And that's what I'm the best at
There's nobody that I've ever stepped in the cage with it.
I have not caused serious damage to not could be
not Olivera, not poorer, not Alvarez is you know, bloomed
up face. You know, I hit people. I am constantly
hitting people, and you know, and then I make mistakes
or I don't make mistakes. Yeah, And you saw at

(09:42):
the end of the third round or second round with
Tony Ferguson, I got a little crazy and I got smoked.
That was crazy. So that's just those moments that you
cannot make those mistakes. Um. Same thing with Kamara Leon.
You know, dominant for thirty seven out of the thirty
nine minutes that they've been in there. It just takes one.
It's the name of the game. You have to appreciate that,
you have to accept it, and then you have to

(10:04):
be crazy. Beat Michael Chandler last, that was the Olivera fight.
Was before Chandler. No, No, Olivera. I'd beat Chandler, No
Chandler twenty twenty one November. Um lost in May of
twenty twenty. Time got my nose fixed, took some shots.

(10:24):
We get to take a break. What we want you know,
let the head hill up. You need a time, play
some golf and hang out with guys like me. Yeah,
yea some last Yeah, you enjoy it. You know it's
really fast and really slow. Um, but you know, thirty
four years old, I'm going to take the fights that
I need to take and put myself in a position

(10:45):
that I need to put myself. But the goals haven't changed.
You still want to be the champion. Yeah. As soon
as that's not the goal on my out, you're done
with it. Huh. Yeah, it's that's crazy, right, because that's
the thought like when you watch a guy compete and
you've done and bend the elite of the elite, but
everything's fun, right, So it would seem like just as
long as you're fighting, like you told me a long
time ago, dude, I've never lost this thought. When you

(11:07):
go I'm feeling nothing, when I'm going to the octa,
I'm like, I don't know, I've never heard anybody say
that before. So it would think that as long as
you can lace up a pair of gloves, you're gonna
do it, because that's what you do, It's what I
do it who I am. But again, I've been doing
this shit since I was four years old competing in
competition wrestling and then into this. But I mean, there's

(11:27):
no reason for me to put myself in these positions
without having one goal, and that's the championship, being number
one in the world, proving that I'm the best in
the world at this way class and outside that, you know,
I'll go sell houses, right loans who knows? Working in
mind if I have to. The fans. The fans just

(11:49):
love you. What do you expect from this crowd on
Saturday night? Yeah, they love fighting, and I'm most exciting
fighter that's ever stepped into octagon. I guarantee that you've
got what aid bones ten. I know, I know, I know.
I'm just job nine in my first seven seven fight. Yeah,
that's great. We'll never be matched. No, you gotta get

(12:10):
you have to have a lucky term stuck up your
ass if you're gonna beat that justin Rafa yolf was
Zev this weekend and whatever next you You what about
like maybe McGregor Chandler winner you're taking keep an eye
on that maybe, huh, who knows. I don't even want
to talk about them. You just the guy, the guy

(12:30):
has fought this is the second time fighting somebody that
I beat. Yeah, so I'm not worried about that. He
following that path. Maybe he want you next. Justin Gage, guys,
Justin Gate, you fights halfway off was zev on Saturday
UFC two eighty six and the Cole main event. He
is your favorite fighters, favorite fighter. It's just not just
a saying, right like, because everybody kind of likes you,

(12:50):
like everyone's like, damn, I won't want Justin Gaate you fight.
It's not just something that I put people in seats. Uh,
your grandma loves me, you absolutely do. But you gotta
win the fight. You gotta win the fight this week
in a big fight spot for Justin Gaiche this weekend.
Make sure you guys tune in two o'clock main card
in the UFC on the West Coast. So early fight

(13:11):

an exclusive golf club. You might get a call. You
