President Donald Trump has a new member on his team at the White House and she used to star on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up alongside Zendaya.
Her name is Caroline Sunshine and along with playing "Tinka Hessenheffer" on the hit Disney show, she also appeared in the 2010 flick Marmaduke.
Sunshine has been chosen as a press assistant, but the hiring doesn't come out of nowhere. While the California native has worked in the entertainment industry, she has also dipped her toes in politics - most recently as a White House intern and before that she had a role with the California Republican Party.
In a statement to CNN, a White House spokesperson described Caroline's experience saying:
"Caroline Sunshine was a White House intern. In college, she was involved with the American Enterprise Institute and an active member of her school's Model United Nations team. Prior to her internship at the White House, Caroline interned for the Office of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the College Republican National Committee and the California Republican Party."
Caroline didn't pull any strings to get the internship either - she applied like everyone else through the White House's website.
She's not the first television personality to join Trump's team - the President recently hired CNBC host Larry Kudlow as the White House National Economic Council, and Fox News's John Bolton as National Security Advisor.
Sunshine is also not the first celebrity to work for a President. Harold and Kumar star Kal Penn worked in Obama's White House Office of Public Liaison.
