For the first time in modern history, London's murder rate is higher than New York City's. That's thanks to a rash of stabbing that left 15 dead in February, one more than in the Big Apple. That trend continued into March. Both cities have similar populations and last year, London only had half the murders of New York.
But while New York's murder rate has fallen since the 1990s, London's has spiked by 40% in three years.
