On Thursday (September 6) BTS dropped an official music video for the "IDOL" version that features Nicki Minaj. Most of the colorful clip is the same as the original; however, this one features the Queen herself.
Donning a neon yellow wig, Minaj lounges in luxury during her verse, waving the same feathered fan previously held by Jimin and taking selfies. While she raps in english, the words appear behind her written in hangul, the Korean writing system.
The other big difference in this video is its ending. The K-Pop megastars showed their ARMY some love by playing clips of their fans participating in the "IDOL" dance challenged during the last 30 seconds of the clip.
Watch the alternate "IDOL" video below.
The original "IDOL" video dropped just two weeks ago and has already broken a number of records, including most YouTube views in 24 hours and fastest video to rack up 100 million views in 2018. The video currently has over 136 million views.
On Wednesday night (September 5), the boyband kicked off their North American tour, with their Citi Field date setting another milestone for the group. Check out the full list of dates below.
