On Monday (September 10), Thirty Seconds to Mars took a detour on their massive Monolith Tour and stopped in London to visit the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge before heading to Portugal for two back to back shows in Braga and Lisbon.
Jared Leto showed off his R&B crooning chops by singing a mash up of Juice WRLD's "Lucid Dreams," Khalid and Normani's "Love Lies" and Post Malone's "Better." Backed by his brother and band co-founder Shannon on drums and a group of soulful backup singers, Jared sat on a stool and calmly belted out a beautiful rendition that weaved all three songs into a new work that could easily pass for an original track if the listener didn't know it was a medley.
Unsurprisingly, the singer/actor was dressed eccentrically, repping a purple long-sleeved shirt emblazoned with the names of explicit sex positions (which also happens to be the cover of the alt-rockers' latest album, America), a pink tassled kimono and silk joggers to match.
On September 11 the band heads to Portugal then back to the United States before the South and Central American legs of the tour. The Monolith Tour concludes in Guadalajara, Mexico on October 13.
