Last month, Twenty One Pilots unveiled the visuals for "Levitate," the final installment in the duo's music video trilogy that also includes "Nico and the Niners" and "Jumpsuit." Now, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are sharing an eight-minute mini-doc that takes fans behind the scenes of the making of the video that started it all: "Jumpsuit."
Tyler and Josh traveled to Þórsmörk, Iceland to film the first video for their upcoming fifth album, Trench. The short film begins with director and frequent collaborator Andrew Donoho explaining how a 15-day trip to Iceland in 2016 became the perfect locale to film the video.
"I was always shocked at the craziness and the expanse of the canyons," he says. "You'll see it on camera, but in person it's even wilder because it makes it feel like you're totally surrounded and enveloped."
When Tyler and Josh told Andrew their vision for "Jumpsuit," he immediately thought of Þórsmörk.
Aside from storyboard illustrations and discussions between Tyler and Andrew, it also features Josh giving local facts about streams, glaciers, and the penalty for ripping moss off the rocks and mountainsides.
After releasing the video trilogy, TØP shared a fourth song from the new album, "My Blood." Trench is slated for an October 5 release via Fueled by Ramen.
